Food is awesome! Service is on point! The Inside is well taken care of! They food is the best I have had in a very long time!

Very nice atmosphere. I knew I was in a fabulous place when out of 10 or 12 tables I was the only non-Asian. The staff was courteous and friendly. The dim sum was amazing! Probably the best I've had...(even better that I had in San Francisco.) My friend and I split 5 different items; it was plenty of food and we loved every bite. Will definitely return! read more

I've gone back for Timsum & ordered sui mai, sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaf, chicken feet, pork ribs, turnip cake. Would NOT order steam BBQ pork bun & har gao; not up to HK/cantonese standard. #137 Claypot Chilean sea bass is good 5-stars. I want to give overall 3.5 stars but there's no 1/2 star option. read more

I love this place so much!!! Serious dim sum in the Austin metro! And the sweetest people working here!!! Cindy is so funny and sweet. She helped me get my most favorite dim sum dish as soon as it was ready... Freshly steamed silky tofu!!! I ordered three!!! Grace was so helpful in getting a delicious to go order for my mama. People go above and beyond here. I LOVE the food and the peeps and the cleanliness and shows they put on TV. Yummy!!!! read more

难吃，还贵，四个人吃80刀都吃不饱 小笼包还不如在自己家微波炉的 完全是骗老外的 以后再也不来了 Bad tasting, expensive, 80 bucks for 4 people and nobody was full, XLB is worst in the city and they're selling them 3 for $8. When the novelty wears off and they close again, I will open a supermarket called New Fortune 3 and sell packaged mass produced frozen dimsum and microwaves. read more

Love this place, came here many times, they never fail with food. The Dim Sum and regular dishes are all on point. The service ladies are nice and the place is always clean. Their rice noodle is the best!! Either get the steam rice noodle with shrimp for dim sum or stir fried flat rice noodle with beef!! read more

SO GOOD- how truly lucky we are to live so close to this fantastic dim sum spot. Our whole family from age 4 to 42 was so happy with our dinner- there's something for everyone from familiar to adventurous. The staff could not be nicer and the restaurant is beautiful. We will be back! read more

Solid traditional dim sum spot! We came during their soft opening week and our favorites were the shrimp dumplings and onion pancakes. We came on a weekday and didn't get to experience the rolling carts but will be back to get that experience! read more

Yeahhhhh this place was greatly over hyped! Har Gao / Xiu Mai were both ok. Inside meat maybe a little overcooked. Outside noodle was too rubbery. Fried turnip, a favorite of ours, tasted like fried mash potatoes. Spare ribs was watery (ew). I mean..... my wife thought it was good but I have to be real.... Over hyped and one of the worst dim sum places I've ever tried! Why can't Austin have good Asian food? read more

Was wanting Dim Sum and this was the closest. One Hour and a half away. Absolutely worth it. Every dish was fabulous and the carts go around very organized. Didn't miss anything! Cant pick one favorite...all great. Service fabulous and decent dim sum prices. Will make the trip again. read more

Best dim sum I've had in the U.S.! Amazing service! They're very busy on Sundays but their attitude remained positive. They tried hard to help us find what we need when they didn't have it in the cart. Great options and affordable. Will be back :) read more

We always eat here almost every weekend for our dimsum. Driving an hour from our house. The servers are really polite and nice and treats you well. On the other hand the lady owner is rude and yell at me when i was trying to tell the server to add the sesame ball to my to go order. Take note that the other big bill that we had is already paid off and the lady yell at me to give my card first before i can ask for a new one because I already paid the first bill when she can ask my card properly. Also i ordered something to go and just adding up the sesame ball with and they did not give me the check yet. read more

Came in with not too high of an expectation, and ended up pigging out BIG TIME on a weekday lunch! My favorites were the har gow, siu mai, and the pan fried shrimp and leek cakes. The two of us ordered both the lo mein and the fried rice from the lunch menu (which comes with a side of egg drop soup or the hot and sour soup), and I, a usual noodle over rice person, surprisingly preferred the fried rice! We will definitely be back for the dim sum cart service on a weekend, can't wait to try their cheung fun!!! read more

Excellent brunch on Saturday. We arrived at about 10:20 and we're seated immediately. We had several carts come by, but also had staff willing to bring us items we hadn't seen. Very happy place, it's fun watching the bigger groups enjoy themselves! read more

Best Chinese food in Northwest Austin. The shaking beef may be one of the best dishes I have ever eaten.

Absolutely loved this new restaurant. Clean, great flavors, big portions, and friendly staff. My daughter and I tried it all. Steamed dumplings (A+), fried dumplings (A-), Fried Crispy Chicked (A+), Vietnamese Beef (A-), and beef lo mein (A+). Everything was fresh, well flavored, and very good. We can't wait to come back for weekend cart dim sum! read more

Amazing dim sum!!! You must try them if you like dim sum. Their entree's are delicious too!!

The Dim Sum was delicious and they had very friendly staff. I love, love, love this place.

The food is legit just like the old times. The parking is an issues, we have to park across the street. The wait was 35-40 min on Saturday afternoon around 1:30pm. They are short staffed and the dinning room is not very big. They use dim sum carts during weekends however not many food comes out in time due to short staffing. I hope after the soft opening they will have more staff and the wait would be shorter. read more

Arrived at 10:40, didn't get seated till 11:50 which is to be expected since it is their first dimsum cart day... the parking situation was a lil rough, there were too many of us lol. Some lady even tried to hold an empty spot I was really hoping it would be the same as before, however they didn't have that stand with the thin stir fry noodles like they did in the past. Other than that I really enjoyed the Salt and Pepper Shrimp. Their chili oil is the best. I recognized the owner, it is the same lady! That was cool. She was kind of loud with the hostess, but it was nice to see her back in action. read more

Food is still great. Service is still absolutely f'ing horrendous. I went on Juneteenth which was a day off for me and it seemed much busier than they were expecting because they seemed incredibly understaffed. Took probably 15 minutes for someone to take my order and only because I flagged someone down. Ordered pan fried dumplings, bbq pork buns, and shiu mai. Got the pan dumplings probably after 10 minutes and then sat there for another 25 minutes while everyone around me got food. Literally had to beg a server to check on my remaining items as she kept ignored me to deliver food to others around me. A table of 4 that was seated after me got like 10 items before I got my 3. read more

Fresh clean authentic Chinese food. Really enjoyed every dish. We went during the soft opening and the staff were very attentive!

Service friendly and easy/frequent carts! No line on opening at 10:30 on Sunday, but filling up fast

Dim Sum is BACK!! After a long Covid induced hiatus, New Fortune has returned to Austin. With a new location and a more limited menu, it's not quite the same dim sum orgy it used to be, but they promise to ramp up their offerings soon. Har gow, shu mai, sesame balls, hum bao, are all present along with other favorites and the service the day we visited was lickity split! The new location isn't as large as the old one, but it's more welcoming, and for us, the new location is a lot closer than Chinatown, so that's a plus. Bring your friends, and your appetite and enjoy! Dim Sum is LIFE!! New Fortune is Austin's best dim sum. read more

The restaurant is a little hard to find (it is set back from the main road, and it shares a driveway with the Exxon gas station), but it is worth the search! We were greeted by friendly staff and seated right away. The lighting was bright and the setting modern. They have a separate room for small groups. We ordered the steamed BBQ pork bun from the dim sum menu. There were 3 in the order, so it was perfect for the 3 of us. We shared the salt and pepper fried shrimp (would DEFINITELY order again!), and the Kung Pao style with shrimp, chicken, and beef from the American Chinese menu. Each dish came with a small bowl of white rice (just the right size). The server offered to bring some peanuts to add to the Kung Pau dish, which we happily accepted since we all like peanuts, but the plate was tasty as originally served. The server kept our glasses filled and all of the staff was attentive. We even enjoyed an unexpected 20% off (we learned they have an all-day special on Tuesday and Thursday). Great food, great service. We will be back! read more

Since we came during the soft opening, we got there around 30 minutes before opening at 10:30 and we only had to wait around 15 minutes before being seated! Me and my family really enjoy the pushing of carts around dim sum style. We ordered so many dishes to try- the rice soup, shrimp dumplings, shu mai, chicken feet, and many more! We asked several waiters if they had the crystal shrimp dumplings but we never ended up seeing them come around, but overall service was great. We were able to order from the carts every few minutes and the food was delicious! read more

Great dim sum place, even at 2pm, place is packed. I have been waiting for them to reopen, they were at Chinatown center, I am glad they moved close to me, no longer need to drive 30 minutes just to have dim sum. It is hard to find authentic Chinese food in Austin, I often missed Chinese food from Chinatown and Flushing in NY, this will be my new favorite place for dim sum, no need to drive 3 hours to Houston anymore! read more

Tried this place on a whim. Ordered a variety of dim sums, sweet and sour chicken, walnut shrimp, shrimp in garlic sauce and a seafood vermicelli dish. Dishes were all very flavorful and cooked to perfection. The dining room was big and a lot of people were eating and the service was still on point with the dishes coming out in a timely manner. Would highly recommend if you're looking for some good dim sum and/or Chinese food. read more

New Fortune 2 - ! - Dim Sum Near Me - Austin, Texas

BEST DIM SUM EVER (CONFIRMED!!) I have been eagerly awaiting the re-opening of new fortune since it closed years ago, and the experience was nothing short of exemplary! For a table of 7, during peak hours, the wait was barely 40 minutes, and i was already prepared to wait more than that! So it was already off to a great start, and to add on, the food carts came around the second we sat down. Everything I ate, and I seriously mean everything, was so delicious and perfect I would deem new fortune two as the best dim in Austin for sure! My favorite items I got include the pork puffs, sticky rice, and coconut pudding. Please be sure to order some yourself, as you'll be deeply satisfied!!! I literally cannot wait to come back, this was a 10/10 experience and this restaurant deserves the world!!! I almost forgot to mention, the staff was wonderfully polite and loved having everyone! This really tied the experience together for us PLEASE COME!! read more

The bathrooms were dirty. . Sub par food. Sub par wait staff. Will not be back. The quality of the food was that of a cheap Chinese buffet.

i never thought id find a restaurant for dim sum that could come close to The Empress on Hill Street in China Town. Wow wow wow! The Cart Service on Saturday were fast and furious! So many dim sum choices cart after cart. The service could not get any better. We, a party of 2 were seated immediately at 11:30 am on Saturday, im not sure if i sat completely down befor my first four choices hit the table. From that point on it was true bliss! New Fortune 2 is my #1 restaurant in all of Austin area! read more

1. The wait system is horrible, everyone walked in, the Host will said 30mins and said if you don't want to wait you are welcome to leave. 2. Cups are very dirty never washed with high temperature washing machine 3. Foods are never hot, steam dim sum came out cold. 4. Service are horrible, but expect high amount of tips. This is the first and last time I would ever visit this restaurant. Trash read more
