Huge portions. friendly service snd better than average food and drinks! Nice views of water

Great service, food and ambience. Recommend celebrating your birthday, anniversary, holidays and any other special occasion.

Went for Sunday brunch. Sat on the inside bar with Jake as our bartender, once we sat down we were told that St. Augustine City Officials have PROHIBITED LIQUOR SALES UNTIL 1 pm on Sundays. Which is Astonishing to anyone I've spoken to. This is a tourist town. Especially, weekend warriors. I'm happy to sign a petition if you'll avail one to guests on Sundays. Despite the stipulations, Jake was amazing and fun and he kept the Poinsettias flowing. I would have given 5 Stars had it not been for the city's stipulations. I truly hope the city amends this law. They are only hurting the pockets of the residents that serve the people that bring money into the city. As a bartender in a destination town, I know that Sunday brunch is good money during the off season. This is a ridiculous concept and I'm extremely disappointed that the city officials did not take locals income into consideration. Thank you again Jake!! Cheers!!! read more

Great location. We were seated on the patio with our pups. After 20 minutes no service, we had to get up and request service. I ordered hash and eggs, what I got was greasy potatoes with uncooked chopped bacon and cold hollandaise sauce. Ended up with food poisoning. Do not recommend this place. read more

Lovely porch seating for on the waterfront. We went for breakfast and I had the eggs and homemade hash. It was quite delicious! Highly recommend the caprese Benedict. Prices are great. Small menu which makes the meals better. You get on an english muffin, two big slabs of mozzarella cheese with tomatoes slices. Two poached eggs with a ton of hollandaise sauce, topped with a basil pesto and a drizzle of balsamic vinager. Unbelievable! My wife had the same. Service is great. Waitress' very friendly and wait wasn't too long. She said to say the coffee is awesome. When in St Augustine,go visit. read more

Great location. Originally they sat us next to the trash can. Thankfully, shortly after, another table opened up and we were able to move. If it were me, I'd remove that table all together. I understand wanting to have as many tables as possible, but no one wants to sit next to the trashcan. Shoutout to the employees who provided good service despite being understaffed that day. Our waiter apologized to us in advance by letting us know that they had a few servers that did not show up for work that day. I ordered the Italian spinach omelette. I've never had Ricotta in my omelette before; it was different but I enjoyed it. read more

Great location and nice serving staff but the food was just disappointing. I ordered a Benedict with lox and fried capers. The capers were not fried and the hollandaise sauce was runny. Coffee was weak too. So disappointing for a beautiful restaurant and cozy location. read more

We love this place !!!! Great for lunch and breakfast. I have to say they go all out with Christmas decorations and the location is amazing with ocean view . I have never had so many people be so friendly to my dogs; to the waitstaff and the people in the restaurant. Very disappointing. We have eaten here many times but nothing like today. When the host finished cleaning our table, another group took it before we could sit down. The host just shrugged. We got put in an grim corner and not at the table we had waited for. Once we ordered, we never saw the server again and had to ask several times for the check. Wife's Benedict was way over seasoned with pepper. My food was ok. There was an aweful funk like old food everywhere. I'm really not sure what happened to this place. It was awesome last October when we were here last read more

The single worst breakfast experience in my life, including boarding school and the army. The Maitre d' was an outrageous bitch, service was awful, lipstick on the glass, the lady mopping was simply smearing dirt around, the food was flaccid and unremarkable. Just not worth the $$$. This is pretty much just food made for tourists without the expectation that they will have repeated customers. The biscuits and gravy was advertised as homemade, and by homemade I think they are referring to opening up the plastic bag of gravy. My daughters waffle was difficult to cut with a knife and the side of bacon came burnt with bacon grease all over the plate. read more

This place was recommended to me and my friend and I decided to give it a try. We showed up on Sunday around 10:30-11:00 and waited for about 30 minutes. While waiting (standing on the sidewalk out front) we people watched and began paying attention to one of the hostesses. She was visibly upset and venting to what looked to be a manager. I read her lips and saw her say "I'm seriously about to walk out" so it was apparent that she was upset about something. After that we began watching her closer to see A) If we could figure out why she was upset and B) If something was going to trigger her and she was going to walk out. We witnessed her seat guests without speaking to them, put menus down on a table and when guests asked to move to another table she said "ok" and walked away, leaving the menus on the original table forcing the customers to have to get up and collect the menus for themselves. When our name was called I had a menu in my hand which I handed back to her. She silently snatched the menu out of my hand and seated us without a word. Neither my friend or myself were upset or angry about it, we actually thought it was comical. After we were sat service was kind of slow (the kitchen was slow, our server checked on us fairly regularly) and the food wasn't anything to write home about. It was decent but definitely not in the top ten brunches I've had or anything. My friend got the Benedict and got a bowl of sorts. My friends benedict looked much better than my bowl. Other than the food the actual restaurant is beautiful, even more so at night when it's all lit up for Christmas! While eating we learned that it's also a hotel so once we were done with our meal we looked around a little bit and it seems like a really neat place to stay! Overall, it's a neat place, the food was middle of the road and the service (minus the hostess) was decent. I'm not sure that I'd recommend it to anyone or go back. (Maybe just to see if the hostess is still working there! Just kidding) read more

Came here for breakfast, sat outside, thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and everything we ordered. We had terrific service, even though the place was really busy and everyone was hustling. And I wish I had been able to make even a dent in my omelette, but the portions are huge. I looked around at my fellow diners, and everyone seemed really happy and well taken care of by staff. If you go, try to get a table outside, because you're right across the street from the water, and it has a nice vibe. read more

The worst experience we had in St Augustine! Maybe the long lines gave us the wrong impression. We had breakfast inside. The room we were in looked like it needs some rehab... ceiling was nasty and dirty (needed painting). Air vent in the floor made it almost unbearably cold. Then the waiter. Coffee with cream ordered but cream was not brought to the table. Had to ask twice. Food was brought to the table but no silverware. Waiter said that is part of the experience. Finally bring silverware then we had to ask for salt and pepper. Half through the meal be fore that arrived. Waiter did not check back til after we were finished and had waited a while. No refills whatsoever. And for the record crispy bacon is listed on the menu but limp half cook bacon is served. Eggs over medium should be slightly running- yoke should not be fully cooked. Now if it was a busy time I can understand service being slow but that was not the case. Very disappointed. read more

Ambiance is the name of the game here. You can't deny the view of the bridge and boats. This restaurant is also the Tini Martini, and part of the Casa Blanca Inn. I ordered a Blue Moon and it was brought with a cold glass and orange slice just how I like. I ordered the Ham, Apple, Brie grilled cheese with pasta salad. Sandwich was good, a little sweet, a little salty, apple came through nicely. Texture wise, its a thick, toasted sandwich, so to bite in will scrape the roof of your mouth, and to cut into it, the cheese is only on one side, so it falls apart a bit. The pasta salad was not impressive to me, it felt tired, and lacked flavor. I personally don't appreciate tomatoes in my pasta salad because they don't hold well over a day or so. I could tell by the onions and tomatoes that the pasta salad wasn't as fresh as it should be. The service was decent, it took a minute to be greeted once seated, but after that the server took great care of me but he had an airpod in his ear the whole time, which takes away a level of professionalism in my opinion. read more

Let's start out with some positive.. great location, beautiful scenery... hopes of a great breakfast/brunch spot. After being seated, our orders were taken right away. It was an average typical busy Sunday for a brunch spot. We waited over 20 minutes for a simple order, we saw our waiter once and that was it. Asked another waiter for another cup of coffee and it never came. Manager or some lady came through asking the two bigger parties if everything was going well and didn't bother to check out our party of 2. We felt ignored and clearly they need better staff that take care of the customers. I eventually got that second cup of coffee, but only after my husband got up, went to the bar and asked another guy for it. ... the food was okay, once we eventually got it. The Peach Cobbler French Toast was sub-par; just regular French toast with peach preserves laid down on top. Nothing else about it resembled "cobbler." read more

Being tourists we were looking for a boozy brunch. The mimosa was good as well as the big martini menu- not too sweet. We immediately were seated in a back room as the outdoor space was full- and then were forgotten about for about 10 minutes. Our waitress was helpful and friendly. The food however is a huge pass. I ordered the eggs and hash. The dish said there'd be corned beef hash- I found one cubed potato on my plate in this nest of corned beef which was served room temp by the time it came out. We asked for toast when our food came out- it never came. My husband got a patty melt and was asked how he wanted it cooked- medium. Didn't really matter- is was super tough and well done. I'd go back for a cocktail outside- but would skip the menu all together. read more

Feel really bad about not giving more stars since they are recovering from Irma but we will return and see if it is better. The service was pretty slow but I suppose they were short handed from the storm. The food was just so so. I had the lettuce boat and the Saratoga club. Both were just ok. I did not think they were restaurant quality. But this is a hotel after all and hotels aren't usually known for food. Like I said we will return and hopefully bump up the stars. read more

I wanted to love this place. Conceptually, it has my heart. A beautiful Florida sun room that you can have brunch in while people watching, I mean. Sounds perfect right? The menu was ideal as well. Not overwhelming, just a handful of well thought out items where each and every one sounded better than the next. The only thing is... the execution was so poor. The food came out quick but my Benedict was ice cold. I mean, so cold I wondered if it came from the fridge? My Benedict was the caprese version with mozzarella cheese and pesto- the pesto was ice, the cheese was not melted. The flavor was great and there was so much potential but it just fell short. I struggled between a 3-4 star ratting. Is ice cold deserving of 3 stars? Seems harsh. But seems unworthy of 4... I'd give this baby a 3.5. read more

If you walk by this restaurant on a weekend morning, you will see a patio that is full of people! Usually there is a long wait for a table outside. Last time we went it was about 45 minutes, and it took the entire 45 minutes to be sat outside, staring at empty tables. The hostess wasn't very nice and you could tell that she was getting frustrated with how busy it was. Once we were sat at our table, our waitress came over and took our drink order (mimosas). It took awhile for our drinks to finally come out and we made the mistake of asking for a few minutes to look over the menu. By the time the waitress came back to take our order, we needed drink refills. We got our refills pretty quickly but then our waitress came over (10-15 minutes later) and asked my boyfriend what he had ordered and that she forgot to put in the order. All in all, the food came out warm and was very good! The mimosas were delicious and their bloody mary was awesome. It seems the service quality isn't very consistent because we've been other times and had awesome service. read more

The wait was very long! The food was good but took about an hour to arrive. If you have time to wait you'll enjoy it but if you're hungry go elsewhere. Also while waiting for a table we witnessed a hostess be incredibly rude to multiple parties. It became entertaining to see how rude she was. When our turn was up she didn't let us down. I greeted her with a big "Hello! How are you?" To which she said nothing, walked to the table, dropped the menus and left. (We found out her name was Cara). To be honest while the food was decent, between the staff aka Cara and long wait I don't think I'd bother going back read more

Finding the entrance here is the only thing I would complain about. We ended up at the back door somehow thanks to the walking GPS directions. I don't know what that means. I peeked my head in and someone told me to go ahead and walk through to the front, so it seems that the staff have this happen often. There was a short wait and we were invited to have a seat out front. The little strip of tables out here are so nice, and the view is lovely. When another table was available, we were asked if we wanted to stay there in the sun or opt for a shadier spot on the porch. We went with the shade mostly because we had the puppy with us and I don't like him to get too hot. Pretty soon someone was asking us about beverages and while my Lover man was needing coffee, I went with my usual morning meal drink, the bloody Mary. Thiers was a very good version, with the right amount of spice and veggies. I love brunch, its just such a wonderful meal. It makes me a happy Susan, and we were in no time laughing together and just enjoying this beautiful place, and wonderful customer service. I was not rushed to order, but when I did, I went with a classic breakfast meal with scrambled eggs, sausage patties and potatoes along with some toast. This meal was a little on the dry side, but the quality was overall good. Steve ordered the same meal actually, with the exception of having bacon as his meat. We also shared an order of biscuits and gravy. The biscuit was good, and the gravy had a nice flavor to it. This was a brunch that others should mimic, right down to the staff checking on my dog as much as they did me. Well done. read more

Firstly, the negative reviews of this place blows my mind. My wife and I were seated immediately after arriving (9:00A.M.). We were greeted by a friendly server that offered drinks within the first 2 minutes of sitting. So, timeliness was no issue for our visit. Second, the view is absolutely amazing. The front has plenty of seating and a remarkable view of the St. Augustine waterfront. Truly, a delight for brunch and mimosas. Finally, the food, after arriving within the first 5 minutes (literally 5 minutes), was stunning. My wife had the homemade Hash Benedict and I had the popular "Hemingway" Benedict. Both dishes presented well and had enormous flavor for any "foodie" to enjoy. Being from San Diego, we take being "foodie-connoisseurs" seriously. Ultimately, a perfect place for brunch, which is quite apropos to the namesake of this little gem on A1A. Bon appetite! read more

We were lucky enough to find immediate seating on the porch in the fresh air for breakfast. Parking on the street is limited and metered. Our visit took about an hour ($2 for 90min parking). The atmosphere is classy-casual (I was fine in shorts & flip-flops, but I wouldn't have gone there dressed in my jammies); adults would enjoy, hipsters would tolerate, small children might fidget. My husband had bacon, eggs, home fries, and fresh OJ. Toast would have been an added side order, had he wanted it. $9 I had a "Hemingway." What's a Hemingway? (There's a punchline in there somewhere, no?) A Hemingway is a toasted English muffin topped with smoked salmon, eggs Benedict, red onion, and capers, served with a lemon wedge garnish and home fries. It was amazing. My coffee was okay, and I was offered a refill about halfway through my cup. $12. So... A great breakfast, served efficiently and with care, for $30 out the door, plus parking. read more

One of those dining experiences that starts off with hope then dives off of a cliff. Menu looks good, hostess funny when she startled us at the menu board. Sent to dining room to grab a table. Said she'd be right there and she was. She took our drink order, brought them quickly, and said she'd be right back for our food order - I guess she's our server as well. What's that? Do I hear crickets? Because I don't hear specials or "what will you have?"
