shrimp fajitas were the best I've ever had with handmade tortillas. Yummy queso and guacamole, delicious margaritas, great family restaurant, reasonable prices!

Had to give this place a try since it New Mexican food restaurant close by. Everything was really good , I like the chicken taco with their own made sauce. We will be back again to try other things.

Went here and got the lunch special steak fajitas to share with my hubby. It was the perfect amount considering we were also munching on the chips and salsa. The steak fajitas were good but nothing spectacular. I would come here again for the lunch special as it was such a great deal.

Pretty good. Service was excellent and our order came out quickly. They offer traditional tex-mex options. Salsa was good as well.

Neca's has easily become a favorite place to eat recently. Everyone is attentive and the food is good. A little inconsistent with the taste and texture of the tamales, but that's about it. Usually when I frequent a Mexican restaurant it's because I want my go-to meal. Here, I like to switch it up because of the menu options and I've never had a meal that I haven't thought was bad. My faves...the El Cuatro, El Dos and Fajitas La Ñeca. There are so many options to choose from on the menu that you will want to return just to try additional dishes. During Covid, they try to space everyone out to make sure people feel comfortable and the place has a decent setup. Originally, I thought it was smaller than what it was inside. Wouldn't mind going there for a few drinks and to watch a game. Definitely recommend if you're out in the Katy/Fulshear area and looking for a good place to eat.

The food was delicious, margaritas were strong and yummy! We enjoyed our time on the patio. Our waiter Fabian was great we will definitely come back again.

I heard about this place from a couple in my single parents group at church. So, I decided to come check it out. The atmosphere is weird. It has modern, neutral colors and nice finishes inside. It felt as if they started to make it as a fine dining place, and then pivoted last minute, threw some ceramic Latin themed pieces on the wall, and decided to do Mexican food. It was also very cold temperature wise... which added to the lack of comfort/homeliness feel I'd expect when going for Mexican food. The first thing I noticed was that the menu looks freakishly identical to the menu at LaFinca- both with menu items/names and layout. The green salsa was pretty good, but the red was almost marinara like- warm, very tomatoey and had no spice. The queso had great flavor and I really appreciated seeing peppers, cilantro and onions in there, but it had too much butter- it was very thin. There were five of us, and we each ordered something different. I tried some of everyone's plates, and nothing was great. The breading on my fish was a bit too overpowering of the snapper, the fajita chicken used in the chimichanga and the kids plates was pretty dry, and the ratio of cheese and sauce on the enchiladas was off and they weren't flavorful. The house frozen margarita was decent, but Abita on the sweet side for me. I wish they offered a skinny margarita option with how many other margarita options they offer. Overall, I rated it as a 3 because it's OK Mexican food, in an OK environment. Nothing really stood out as exceptional or something I liked enough to come back for. I left full but not satisfied. With La Finca being closer, and such a similar menu, we will likely just keep going to La Finca or Victor's in Fulshear for our Mexican fixes.

A special shoutout to Ulises, who made our experience exceptional. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and fast without ever making us feel rushed. Since it was our first time visiting, they even surprised us with complimentary corn on the cob, which was such a thoughtful touch. The food was outstanding and came out surprisingly quickly. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. My husband was also impressed by the attention to detail throughout the restaurant--even the restroom was stocked with everything you could think of, from toothpicks to mouthwash, which was especially appreciated after enjoying all the delicious corn and black beans! It's rare to find a restaurant that combines amazing food, excellent service, and thoughtful hospitality so well. We left already talking about our next visit, and we can't wait to come back and try their margaritas. Highly recommend!

We had one of the worst dining experiences ever at Ambriza La Centerra. After living in Houston for…read more15 years and dining all over the city, this was by far the most disappointing restaurant experience we've had. What made it even more frustrating is that we've been to the Cypress location many times, and every single visit there has been exceptional -- great food, great service, and consistently enjoyable. Unfortunately, the La Centerra location was the complete opposite. We waited over an hour for our food, only to receive the wrong appetizer. The fajita plate arrived cold and without rice, beans, or tortillas. We sent both dishes back. The replacement appetizer -- ceviche tostadas -- finally arrived, but it was overloaded with lemon to the point of being unbearably sour. Meanwhile, there were still no tortillas, rice, or beans in sight. No drink refills, no updates, and barely any service during the entire wait. After another long stretch of waiting, we finally asked the server what was happening, only for her to return and tell us the kitchen was closing and they no longer had tortillas, rice, or beans available. At that point, after nearly 1.5 hours, we walked out with nothing but a to-go box of fajita meat. To the manager's credit, they removed the appetizer and fajita charges from the bill, but the experience itself left such a bad taste that it completely overshadowed the gesture. Extremely disappointing, especially compared to the excellent standards we've experienced at the Cypress location. Sadly, we will not be returning to this location.
