This is our neighborhood staple. We have been coming here for yrs. Jose and his staff are amazing the food is good and reasonably priced. He gives back by offering spirit nights for the local schools. With this area growing so fast it's nice to still have it here. Stopped by this local Mexican Restaurant and I was Surprised by the whole scenario. Much Bigger inside once you walk into the establishment. Tons of seating available with Mexican Atmosphere all around. Mexican music playing in the background and plenty of staff members ready to jump into assistance. Wide variety of authentic dishes from my look at the menu. I had the Burrito Plate with Chicken ,which was loaded with generous portions of shredded chicken! Melted Cheese on top with side order of rice n bean's too. Absolutely Delicious and filling, I couldn't finish this plate! They have 11-3pm lunch specials at a fair and reasonable price. Today was the day I gave it a second chance and I'm so happy I did! We came in for drinks and apps - we were greeted nicely by multiple people and seated at the bar. Gio came to us immediately, took our order and made some of the best margaritas! (And I'm honestly a picky margarita snob as I'm a former bartender ha) the food runner brought our chips and salsa, and asked if we wanted the green sauce which we did, he brought it immediately and I wish I had his name as well as he was so polite !! We only ordered the combo app which we INHALED. So much better than the nachos we had over a year ago. Granted it was a slower time of day, the whole staff smiled, everyone was taking initiative by rolling silverware or Doug side work vs sitting around on a phone ... and the environment was nice, I will definitely be back and recommend Tios location again! We tried this place because our regular Mexican place was closed. This place screamed of chain restaurant, and I just found out it is as I write this review. Food was generally good. While everyone serves beans and rice, the rice here actually had a good flavor, which was a surprise. Most places it is not worth mentioning. The beans were good, and the main dishes were well prepared. Problems: When three people sit at the table and you serve chips with a 3 oz bowl of salsa - it runs out quickly. The chips and salsa were good, they just ran out quickly, and the service was slow at best to keep up. When we finally ordered our food, it took longer to arrive than most other places. It may be because my wife ordered the quail, but had the chips and salsa flowed, we would not have noticed. 4 stars - good food - fair at best service. It was clean. Will I go again? Probably not. It was a bit out of the way for us. Not that I would mind going again, it's just the logistics of going farther than we normally drive to dine out. read more

First date kind of nervous.. The frozmargarita flight is amazing! Choose 4 out of 7 flavors! Cucumber was the BEST! So refreshing, I also enjoyed the strawberry a lot. They have great flavors. The queso was TERRIBLE, got a tiny little cup for $11 and it tasted horrible, the guacamole was $14 for a small and it wasn't great either. Steer clear of these items. The dinner dishes are good, the beans are a little over cooked and old tasting, I didn't enjoy the rice at all. The fish was cooked well!! I've been ordering food from Las Mananitas through DoorDash for a while now. The cheese enchilada dinner and large guacamole. But as a senior citizen forced to trim my expenses. I began to order the enchiladas and guacamole à la carte. (I wasn't eating all of the full order anyway). Today when my order arrived, for the third time I received no chips. You eat your guacamole on chips, don't you? So I called the restaurant to complain only to find out that you don't get chips or salsa with à la cart items. This restaurant is too cheap to include a small bag of chips or a small cup of salsa with ALL orders. Apparently they do not care about the plight of senior citizens. That's OK. I've been to Las Mañanitas a few times before and really loved their food, atmosphere, and service. I recently took my parents here to celebrate Father's Day a bit early to beat the crowd. My favorite entree to order is the Fajita Puebla ($14). It's a skillet with fajitas, peppers, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, bacon, chorizo, and Monterrey jack cheese. It comes with rice, beans, pico, guacamole and sour cream. Absolutely delicious! For Father's Day, however, I ordered a Parrilla platter ($46) for our family to share. It comes with chicken and beef fajitas, sausage, ribs, shrimp, and bacon-wrapped shrimp. We also ordered Shrimp Cocktail ($10) for the appetizer, 2 frozen margaritas ($10 each), 1 Michelada, and cheesecake for dessert. It's a HUGE sizzling skillet and comes with two servings of rice and beans. The meat was tender and flavorful. The ribs were smothered in bbq sauce, which isn't very authentic but it was still good. The shrimp cocktail was okay, a little bland for our taste but we still enjoyed it. All of the food was delicious for a fair price. Our total was around $89 and a few cents. I do wish their drink prices were a bit less, but it's not unreasonably high. I've had all of the above orders somewhere else for a bigger price and less quality. Las Mañanitas has delicious food, great service, and good prices. Shoutout to Natalia for being such a great waitress! She was so cheerful, friendly, and accommodating. This unassuming little restaurant went to numero uno on my list of Mexican food places! For one, they serve warm salsa....and it's amazing! Second, the Taco Salad, with fajita beef, was hearty! The chunks of beef were a good size and they were tasty, as well as tender. Michelle had the Fajita Mexicana (combo of fajita beef and chicken) which came with sautéed onions, jalapeños, tomatoes and cilantro. I tried it and it was delicious! The meat melted in my mouth! She ordered a Shrimp salad but hold everything EXCEPT lettuce .... and when he looked up in (VERY VALID) confusion he said "so you want plate of lettuce" but she was afraid she'd get shredded lettuce so she kept trying to point of shrimp salad while he kept trying to explain he understood but if he put in Shrimp salad hold EVERYTHING BUT LETTUCE it would b outrageously expensive so he was TRYING TO HELP HER/us but SHE was making it difficult. Anyway he finally got it and then she said "But I'd like sliced avocados ‍‍‍ Anyway he eventually helped us out w/ the order. Food was so good. Last night was a first time for a large group activity at Las Mananitas-Richmond for us. We live in the neighborhood so we knew the service and food were good. Oscar and his staff did not dissapoint. We held a meeting for about 25 people and were seated in the side room off the dining room. This provided the group with the ability to meet listen to each other and the speaker and conduct business. The entire family loves coming here! They have great prices and the margaritas are so good! My new favorite is the micharita!! Y'all have to try it! The food: Two different reviews and that based our rating of 3. The menu has authentic dishes,however, the food presentation is more tex-mex. Huevos Rancheros:1 honey said he was disappointed on the ranchero sauce. It was more of a creamy, gravy texture without the red sauce. Enchiladas with eggs:3 mine was good. I was hesitant at first but when i tasted the enchilada, I was surprised. The tomatillo covering the chorizo enchilada had a tangy taste. Honey said it was the mexican cheese mixes with the chorizo. I still say it was the tomatilo sauce. The chips tasted like from a bag. I didn't try the chips but honey said they were not good. On a side note, my coffee was delicious. The food is a hit or miss. The last time we ordered through Uber the food didn't seem fresh, especially the tortillas, they were hard.

The experience we had on Cinco the Mayo was by far my least favorite. I get it it was busy but our server was a little odd. He kept missing things like bringing us things and refills, we kept having to ask the buser girl because he would forget everything. The funny thing is he suggested the fajitas to make his job easier but at the end it didn't seem that way. Cause when the food would come he would not bring us what we needed and we had to go looking for it. The quantity of the fajita plate was ridiculously Poor quality. BUYER (eater) BEWARE‼ (Warning. Well deserved rant coming...) Went to Las Mañanitas with another couple after church. As usual the food was ok and reasonably priced. BUT what a horrible experience ‼ from the start the waiter was ... RUDE (probably racially motivated). We asked that he split out ticket in two, to which he said OK. When he brought the check(s) he had but everything on ONE check, and had a second check with a ZERO balance. trying just to get out of there and avoid the waiters anger, I paid the whole amount on the first ticket. We left a generous tip and left. The waiter chased us out into the parking lot accusing us of not paying the 'other check', of stealing. I tried to explain that we did - on the first Check. He said no and that he'd show us and went back inside to which we followed. Now this is FUNNY‼ He grabbed the 'second ticket' and said we didn't pay that check ‼ "you mean the ZERO balance one⁉". He said yes. After he realized it said ZERO, he said he'd print out a new one. (This was now I'm the middle of the restaurant. I got angry after being accused of stealing and I might have gotten a little loud. ) finally the manager came over and saw that his waiter had wrongly accused us of theft after he messed up our tickets. The manager half heartedly apologized - in the middle of the restaurant - and we walked out. We even left the generous tip we included AFTER his accusation. This dish requires a little extra time but if your tastes are geared toward a " Veracruz style" Red fish baked in foil with mushrooms, roasted tomatoes, green pepper, white wine, butter red sauce you should try this.
