Came to Lopez for a late night dinner. The service is always great and I love the outdoor patio. The drinks are great and the food comes out piping hot, quick, and it's delicious! We love the quesadillas and enchiladas! The parking is free and it's family friendly, great for special occasions. Happy hour is from 2pm-6pm, Mon-Fri. read more

Had a great experience here. We were greeted quickly upon entering and got a table immediately. The ambiance is fun with a hispanic flare! The service was friendly and quick and the food was delicious. We are so glad they are close our house and it's some of the best tex mex food in the area! Went for happy hour with my wife's coworkers. It's a modern looking Mexican restaurant that seems attached to Gallery Furniture. We were somewhat of a big party, but they didn't have any issue seating us and serving us pretty quickly. Their frozen margaritas were good. I ordered chalupas for food and it was ok but I was expecting it to be better. Not pressed to come back of my own accord. read more

Great food been coming here over 20 years . Never had a bad experience . Worth every cent

They have the BEST food and the BEST service. My parents who are elderly Love this place and so does my 35 year old daughter. It's great for all ages! read more

Called in an order maybe an hour ago, we pick up said order, get home after being sick all weekend and they forgot our queso, we drive back up to the restaurant and they didn't apologize whatever they give us the queso. We get home AGAIN and guess what. The food is wrong. Crazy because we love this place but they didn't even want to comp a soda for the inconvenience of us driving back and forth 20 minutes each time. Poor customer service definitely. read more

I'm always down for great food and amazing staff. Worth every penny and minute spent enjoying the food.

This is my go to place for some cheese enchiladas! We love the fast service we receive and personally I have never had a bad meal at this location nor the original one! Been going to Lopez for over 20 years! read more

Been coming here to this location since day 1. Excellent food , excellent service. I always order the carne guisada plate. The brown gravy sauce has to be hands down the best I've ever tasted. Honestly the way prices are outrageously getting out of had for Mexican food. Lopez is extremely reasonable on their prices. For that 5 star 5 star read more

We really enjoyed our time here. The decor was very nice without being pretentious. Cesar was a very attentive server who was there every time we wanted him. The food was the big surprise. We really enjoyed the Tacos Rancheros with some of the most tender, flavorful and juice beef rib meat we've ever had. We definitely plan to return! read more

This is our go-to Tex Mex restaurant! Service is great. Food is delicious and consistent. Atmosphere is nice - if a little noisy. We usually get enchiladas or chili rellenos, but I love their Paloma salad too! Can't recommend enough! read more

Decent place to come check out. I sat at the bar not a table and food, drinks, and service was good

This was my first time going. From service to food, this place was excellent! Will definitely return.

I knew I would love the food here after reviewing the pictures and menu on Yelp! I'm never a fan of dining during a rush unless I have to, but also don't enjoy being the only customer present. This honestly was a Goldilocks/Baby Bear experience. Everything seemed just right. I ordered the small Chlli Con Queso (which came with a side of pickled sliced jalapenos) and the El Trio, because I don't like wasting food and it doesn't come with Refried Beans and Rice. I was able to choose all 3 as Cheese Enchiladas and upgraded two of them to fajita (one Chicken Fajita Enchilada and one Beef Fajita Enchilada). The cheese and gravy along with the queso reminded me of classic local Tex-Mex (like Ninfa's or Pancho's). It's no surprise after learning the Houston location started in the 1970s. If I have to choose a con, it's that I wasn't informed that the lemonade is pink. It didn't bother me, though. read more

Lopez Mexican Restaurant - El Trio (Cheese, Beef Fajita, and Chicken Fajita), small chile con queso, and lemonade. - Mexican Near Me - Richmond, Texas

Fajitas had zero taste, no seasoning. The chili rellano no taste. Cook needs to use seasoning in his cooking .

Back for another visit! A must try are the beef fajita enchiladas! Delicious ! Service excellent ! Still not a fan of their margaritas, but we will be back for the service and those enchiladas! read more

We came here to try for the first time, it was their anniversary week, and it was super busy. We did have to wait for a table for about 30 minutes, but that is understandable on a very busy day. The customer service was excellent, you can see that everyone worked very hard, while trying to move fast to be able to service everyone at a timely manner. The food was good, we will definitely come back again at a less busy time. read more

I found the food to be pretty much the same as other Mexican restaurants like Lupe tortillas and Gringos. Nothing out of this world. Just good tasting food. read more

Food and service always good! This last time I ate here it was packed, plus a 35 person party. Yet, the service was still on par.

I go often and highly recommend..great customer service and food!! I always grab a lemon drop and the chile relleno is 10/10

The beef fajita burrito was the bomb. Generous portion with tender beef. We went during Cinco De Mayo so the staff was crazy busy but they took good care of us. It was the perfect weather to chose outside seating. I can see how it would be loud for some tables if you were seated next to the Mariachi players. Competition is touch in Texas for good Mexican food, that's why I only rated them 4 stars. Maybe I should have given the a fifth star on value. read more

We eat at this restaurant every Friday afternoon it's so good! They're always friendly and welcoming and the food is consistently delicious. I love the gravy on the cheese enchiladas! I get a fried egg on top of my enchiladas, I'm from NM! Thanks Lopez for a great job! read more

Good Texmex food & drinks, at a very reasonable price. Even better if you have a gift card like we did, but their regular prices are reasonable, and we had a good meal. They have all the usual items you would expect for a restaurant of this type. Service was not great, perhaps that was just bad lock, but we had to hunt for our waitress a couple times to get simple items, e.g. after the food was delivered, only half the party had silverware. read more

My husband loves to come here on a Friday and do happy hour and we can even split the fajitas for one because of how generous the portion is! Their strawberry margarita is famous! We have always had amazing service and they have soo many servers to even help each other out with tables! Wish their menu was a little bit bigger is my only complaint! read more

Lopez Mexican restaurant is connected with gallery furniture. Mattress Mac definitely knows his good food because Lopez restaurant meets all expectations with cleanliness attentiveness, wonderful food, chips, salsa full glasses of drinks all the time. My experience with Lopez goes back to 1993 when they were still in the shopping center Off the beltway 59. My Australian friend and I were looking for the best beef quesadillas in Houston and Lopez definitely won. Since then I've reconnected Lopez at gallery furniture, location, and the food quality, staff friendliness has remained the same, even better knowing that mattress Mac and the gallery furniture organization are right next-door. If you want a really qualityMexican food meal visit Lopez Mexican restaurant and tell them Drew sent you. read more

Service is great but food is just ok. I ordered the pollo qui qui ri qui and was seriously underwhelmed. Chicken was thin, bland and on the dry side. There was only 2 shrimp on the chicken and the sauce was all right nothing to dance about. My husband said his chimichanga was just ok as well. My son enjoyed his "chalupa" which was really 2 tostados, no sour cream however. I had a few bites and it was ok as well. The lemon martini drink and beer were the highlights of our meal. Probably would not return again with so many other better Mexican food choices in this area, I'd rather go to the other location. read more

Very nice restaurant, I didn't catch the waiters name but he was very attentive. Deff will come back again. #VivaLopez #buzzybooth

Went to Lopez Mexican Restaurant on a Saturday for lunch. The service this day was a bit slow which was interesting as they were not very busy. The hostess sat us at a booth by a window which was nice. We were greeted by someone that bought us some nice thick chips with thin sauce which was average in taste. The person also took our drink order of water. The problem was when we tried to order food we were told we had to wait for the waiter. After 15 minutes of waiting and eating chips the waiter finally appeared and took our food order. Husband and I split the Lopez plate and got a house margarita. The Lopez plate is 2 cheese enchiladas with rice & beans along with beef taco, puffy Queso tostada, guacamole salad and a Chile Relleno. It is a big plate with lots of delicious food. The house margarita looked and tasted delicious. The problem was that the waiter dropped off the food & drink and never came back to check on us. We had to flag down other people to ask them for more water, chips, etc. overall again the good & drink was great service was lacking. read more

Excellent Enchiladas! The ground beef enchiladas are outstanding (served with delicious South Texas style brown gravy and plenty of cheese.) I'm glad I only ordered two because they were so big that I couldn't have finished three. The refried beans and rice were excellent as well. The salsa was fresh and had just enough heat. Save room for queso while you're here. It's mild, creamy and served with sliced pickled jalapeños. The staff was great (extremely welcoming and attentive.) Overall, Lopez on Grand Parkway is a lively, family-friendly atmosphere with Tex-Mex comfort food to die for. And the prices are very reasonable. Check it out next time you're in Richmond. read more

The atmosphere was great but I dont know what happened , whether it was the food or the smell of alcohol (which I did not drink btw but my folks did) but I felt a bit nauseous and didnt finish my plate entirely. The food overall was okay but the wait time was a bit too much, I was eating through so much of the starter chips - and the salsa was so watery, no taste and no spice at all. Not sure if we'll come back and we've been to other Mexican restaurants and had a better experience. The interior looked great and fancy but the food experience could have been better. read more

Lopez is our to go place when we want the best enchiladas in Richmond. The food is always consistent being, hot, fresh and filling. We normally order two ground beef enchiladas with rice and charro beans. The place has a nice ambiance and the service is stellar. We noticed on our last visit that the price has gone up however, with the quality of food it is well worth it Enjoy read more
