This place has been our go to spot for so many years. Sadly, today is my last day ever spending a dollar here. The owner has become so greedy and raised prices so high.... It's out of control! Since Carlos left, the son and ex wife have ruined this place. The whole kitchen staff has quit because they were being charged for drinking water!!! What the heck??? Don't spend money here!! Today I was charged for a whole extra margarita that we did not have. The owner blamed it on the server. We said bring the server over and let's ask. The owner got nervous and confessed that she added extras on our tab. So sad!!! I will never step foot in this establishment again. Check out El Tejas around the corner.... Went there for Lunch. This place has no organization and staff not trained properly. Customers waiting in line outside while others walk in and find their own seats. They sit party of 3 in large table while we waiting for table for party of 5. Waiter finally comes to our table and can only take our drink orders cause he did not have a pad. Some tables get chips & dip and comp soup while others have to ask for them. Food is good here although $9.00 for a lunch special is rather pricey. Been here for 30 minutes now and just now getting our drinks. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ARE PRESSED FOR TIME or HUNGRY!!! They can not handle a Lunch Crowd. read more

As you enter stop at the front door and a server will seat you. Their are tables and booths to select from and a small bar on the rigt side up front. The atmosphere is comfortable and casual with friendly servers. A basket of warm salsa and chips arrived at my table seconds after I was seated. The salsa is more tomato based blended with mild chilis. It isn't hot or overly spicy. It's okay, I just prefer some kick and more spices. The chips were warm, thin, crispy and very good. If you're a Margarita fan then you'll enjoy all the different flavors and types of regular margaritas. The menu has many of the standard mexican entrees and tacos. There is something for everyone but my favorite is the Carne Guisada. Beef tips simmered in gravy until fork tender with diced potatoes and carrots served with rice, beans and tortillas. The potatoes are my favorite part of the meal. My runner up is the Pechuga Gratinada with grilled, boneless chicken breast topped with peppers, mushrooms, onions and melted monterry jack cheese served with rice and beans, Pico de Gallo and tortillas. The service is friendly, food arrives promptly and is always good. I'll be back again. read more

Great friendly service, they carried the food out to my car for me as I was carrying my toddler. Food was superb. I ordered to go the chicken pozole , the combo fajita, cheese quesadilla, and pollo mole. Comes with chips and green and red salsa. My bill $30. Can't beat that! & Everything was so good!! I absolutely love the pozole. The children's cheese quesadilla was filled with yummy cheese and came with beans and rice. The mole chicken was cooked perfectly and comes with beans and rice. I absolutely recommend this place. Roomy interior with friendly service and great menu and food. The food was really good, very cheap, and we got lots of it- quickly and from a great server. For three people, plus an appetizer and a margarita, we spent under $40 before a tip. My husband really like his Burrito Texana- which is stuffed with three meats and is smothered in cheese. I ordered Rita's dinner and got a tostada, a crispy taco, a queso puff, a tamale, an enchilada, and rice and beans- all for $9! It was so much food that it came out in two parts on two plates! I couldn't even make it halfway through after having also eaten the chips and Rita's Queso beforehand. The guacamole and margaritas were legit! And the service was awesome! I kept waiting for bad service here. Anticipation killed me, as Ricardo, our waiter kept bringing everything within seconds of asking and minutes of ordering. It didn't happen. What a severe disappointment, as all the reviews promised me a cruddy service experience. I almost wanted to ask for a discount... Cause I felt jipped of this attribute. So I ordered some awesome $3 margaritas with the family and I'm positive Ricardo slipped some extra cheap tequila in my glass. 2 in, and I'm pretty sloshed.. But you know... It's all good. My meal was a chicken fajita chimichanga, which is a bunch of diced chicken in a fried tortilla with some queso on top. It needs some sauce in the chimichanga. All tasted good, but the agenda was missing with the surprise sauce waiting in the shell. Recommend that changes. Also, I would be remiss to say that the rice seems to be loaded with garlic. That's kinda odd for a Mexican rice. Mixed with beans, it's all Ayyyyyy Yayyyyy yayyyyh yayyyyhh.... And not noticeable. But without, it's like bam! That's shit is noticeable. All in all.. Oh I'm so disappointed! I Door dashed this place today and the food is so sad. Spinach enchiladas have a red sauce (really?!?) they are super bland and the queso taste like the stuff you get at a stadium. No flavor. I had heard mixed reviews on this place. Went to Rita's yesterday. Not my first time there. Usually good food, however, yesterday ordered the fajitas for two. Came out with a foil cover over the top and was not sizzling hot like normal. Was able to touch the fajita plate with my bare hand. Saw other customers getting sizzling steaming hot fajitas. We've been here before and the food was good, but I guess we never looked at the sanitation rating before - it was either 82 or 84, I forget, on a scale of 100. We won't eat anyplace in Rosenberg that doesn't have an "A." I was very happy with all of my food, but be warned that bowl of fideo....well it's a pretty Big bowl, with an entire chicken breast in it. I loved the queso bc you can get it with ground beef! Tasty salsa although definitely on the mild side.... Could've used a little bit of kick! All in all, I was rather satisfied with the outcome of my first visit. I have eaten here at Rita's several times, trying several varied dishes with my family and have not been disappointed once! Service is fast, attentive and friendly. Got the chance to visit and talk with the manager tonight and he was honest and friendly. i have eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner. The huevos a la Mexicana, served with potatoes, beans and tortillas are superb and very reasonably priced. I have had their menudo on 2 different occasions and have not been disappointed. You can always tell if menudo is bad by it's very clear color. This menudo is dark in color as it's supposed to be. Served real hot with plenty of corn hominy and fixings with a homemade authentic taste I highly recommend this place for all. Priced right, great service and generous portions. The food is very flavorful. I've been here twice and each time really enjoyed what I had. First time was migas, second time was nopalitos. If I was basing this completely off of food, they would easily get a 4 star rating. The problem is, both times the service was horrendous. We shouldn't have to flag down someone to being sauce we asked for before. Or tell them we're ready to order. I called Ritas to order caldo de res as I was very sick that day and my husband suggested I get some hot soup. Well when he came home with it it had only meat 1 green bean, and a small piece of cabbage only a container of broth. If Ritas ran out of vegetables they could have let us know just don't give your customer what is left in the pot. I will not be coming back and I did like this restaurant.
