So.... I'm sitting in La Finca... Oops "La Cantina" now... I thought I'd give it a try and see for myself... Ughh... It's La Finca! They just changed the name, painted the walls these obnoxious colors, placed a battery operated light on the table and walla! I give you "La Cantina"! The food is exactly the same. Terrible... The service is exactly the same... Terrible... The atmosphere is exactly the same... Terrible... I ordered chicken fajitas, what could possibly go wrong? The chicken appeared to be precooked. The onions were burned to a crisp. The flour tortillas seemed to be homemade, but the corn tortillas were store bought The atmosphere is so weird here! It's 1:44pm and I'm literally the only customer in here! I'm listening to terrible mariachi music, while every once and a while getting interrupted by a Burger King and Auto Zone commercial in Spanish... The staff is on their cell phones, leaning on the service kiosk while watching a cupcake baking challenge on the Food Network... I look over and there is a huge disco ball spinning with a strobe light that randomly turns on... Party!! The server is spying on me while I write this post... LOL If you didn't like La Finca, then don't bother coming... My guess is the "new management" is not present or doesn't care... If my restaurant just opened up, then I would be there from opening to closing talking to customers and ensuring everything ran smoothly. Just saying... I hope that helps! Gotta go now!

The service was attentive. The Fajitas were tender and had good flavor. The green and red salsas were delicious. Their margaritas need help though. Too much sweet and sour flavor. We will be back again.

This place has one of the best drinks, both of my our drinks was delicious . I'd come back here just for the drinks alone. The food wasn't too bad. It's very different compared to your average Tex/mex restaurant. *Be advised - add your name to waitlist on Fri/Saturday dinner bc their will be a 30min-1hr wait*

After living in Houston for…read more15 years and dining all over the city, this was by far the most disappointing restaurant experience we've had. What made it even more frustrating is that we've been to the Cypress location many times, and every single visit there has been exceptional -- great food, great service, and consistently enjoyable. Unfortunately, the La Centerra location was the complete opposite. We waited over an hour for our food, only to receive the wrong appetizer. The fajita plate arrived cold and without rice, beans, or tortillas. We sent both dishes back. The replacement appetizer -- ceviche tostadas -- finally arrived, but it was overloaded with lemon to the point of being unbearably sour. Meanwhile, there were still no tortillas, rice, or beans in sight. No drink refills, no updates, and barely any service during the entire wait. After another long stretch of waiting, we finally asked the server what was happening, only for her to return and tell us the kitchen was closing and they no longer had tortillas, rice, or beans available. At that point, after nearly 1.5 hours, we walked out with nothing but a to-go box of fajita meat. To the manager's credit, they removed the appetizer and fajita charges from the bill, but the experience itself left such a bad taste that it completely overshadowed the gesture. Extremely disappointing, especially compared to the excellent standards we've experienced at the Cypress location. Sadly, we will not be returning to this location.
