Stopped by NDA for a after work happy hour. There is valet and a parking garage across the street where they validate. I was the first of my group to arrive and I sat at the bar while I waited for everyone else. I ordered a lemon drop, spinach and artichoke dip and the NDA sliders. The lemon drop was definitely spirit forward. The spinach and artichoke dip was alright, glad I ordered during happy hour because I don't know that I would have wanted to spend $15 on it. The NDA sliders were very good! Would definitely get again and highly recommend. When the rest of my group arrived, the server came out and had a very bad attitude. Because of the off putting experience that she greeted us with, we decided to go elsewhere as we didn't want the beginning of our night starting with a negative experience. Service is great from the bartenders the couple times we've gone. Got cocktails once we were pleased with. Yesterday went for happy hour bites. The adult chicken nuggets were superb, the sliders were alright and the tuna nacho were literally three bites of food but tasty. NDA has a lot of potential. Had brunch on a Saturday morning 11am, it's not busy. The vibe inside is very old money NY, leather sofas and overall nice! We sat on the patio, because of the good weather. Tried to order two different juices, both were out. I ordered my eggs (that are supposed to be any way) over easy and they were fully cooked. The server was somewhat awkward, which is fine but by the end we had to ask another waiter for the split up check because our waiter was MIA The manager brings back the check, not split. But fixes it quickly after we asked again. Overall, menu is small yet still out of items on prime time Saturday, service is subpar but location is good so it can survive with some adjustments. Had an interesting experience here on a Tuesday. The place was nearly empty, but that meant we had no service issues. We got two appetizers and shared two entrees - the hand pulled noodle of the day, with shrimp and the Texas dry aged steak. The ricotta whip cheese was delicious, but nothing too crazy and very fruity. Their sushi deviled eggs had a little roe on top, and were very good as well. The shrimp scampi dish was superb, just so well seasoned and light despite being a cream sauce. The dry aged steak was good but coming from the land of steakhouses, I would expect nothing less. However it was a really perfect amount to share between three folks. The drinks were good, but I expected a little more for how expensive they are. $15-$16 cocktails. The Marshall was a solid lemon twist martini but I tried a twist on a tequila spicy marg first and it was heartburn city. The Cease and Desist was delicious but a typical old fashioned. The ambiance, the ambiance...it's beautifully decorated but feels a bit like a hotel restaurant. It is in the Haynes Boone building, and everything is thematically with law termed names. It felt like it should have been a little less weird of an experience...no others in the dining room for a 6 pm reservation...made it a little weird. Vibes are nice. Gives like an old school feel. Food wasn't bad. I liked my steak frites except the fries were cold. Steak was delicious though! My friend got this sweet potato brunch item and she said it wasn't bad but it wasn't great. The coffee I would not recommend. I got a latte and it wasn't good, but they were nice enough to switch it out for an iced macchiato which still wasn't good. It was my mistake because I should've just stuck to the coffee shop down the street which I ended up getting after the lunch lol I did however thoroughly enjoy the cinnamon roll! We went to check out this place for HH. Note that HH is only in the bar area. The ambiance and vibes here are great, but the downfall comes on the service. Though the bar area had a couple at the bar, the table was empty besides our table for 4 yet it was almost impossible to get attention. We sat with empty drinks and waters for much longer than ok, especially when it's not busy. Fortunately one of my many attempts to wave someone down worked. In the end, I was also overcharged on the amount of drinks that were rung up. The place has potential, but service and overcharging is not acceptable. read more

Not too many bars in Dallas know how to make a good Hemingway daiquiri so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw one here. With that being said, I will probably only return for Happy Hour as I enjoyed the selection in the apps menu over the entrees. The entree selections were limited. The service started whole but the manager noticed and came over to accommodate which is always appreciated. I stopped by this hidden gem on Tuesday, Nov. 19th for a comforting and delicious meal. The meatloaf was rich and savory, served with a perfect size of whipped potatoes. The "noodle of the day" was a hearty bolognese, which looked almost as good as it tasted topped with a dehydrated tomato and herbs. The service was excellent and my server was great at helping me decide on the chocolate lava cake for dessert. The ambience is very relaxed and the lighting is wonderful. Loving this place...it's new and with any new restaurant there's grace to get in the groove, but the bones are solid. The decor/lighting is dark, rich and soothing. The chairs at the bar are exceedingly comfortable. This is only made better by the bar staff, who's attentive, a hoot and helpful with culinary recommendations. What does the consumer want and what are we getting. I feel most want at a minimum what's offered on the menu and a croissant isn't that difficult is it? If you can't provide what's on the menu can you at least own the mistake? We live in a country of 2nd chances, but you have to own your mistake. Even if you can't own the mistake you shouldn't make your revenue provider wait an additional 30 minutes for their modified meal, should you ? Once you get past that, then consistency is critical, but consistency matters only if the product is a quality product. I ordered the same cocktail twice, a simple expresso martini . The first was great and the second watered down and bland in comparison. I sent it back and I don't normally because they deserve grace, a 4/1/24 open date means they are still working through the kinks. The 3rd with instructions "just like the 1st", was no better. Should they get grace? Harwood group has been doing this for a minute and their playbook should be airtight -OR- They figure they can give us whatever and we'll take it. Did I mention I was drinking and I ordered a scone at the same time of the main entree. It came out approximately 1 minute before the modified sandwich, which showed up 30 minutes after the let me know no croissant. I didn't hear about no croissant until a solid 15-20 after my original order. Harwood, I was at the bar and there was max 4 other patrons. I don't know what the rest of the place looked like, it didn't feel packed. I wish I could come into an organization like this, offer a service and tighten the screws on hiring and if not hiring then TRAINING . Bring six sigma into the process and make it so repeatability and therefore repeat customer makes them a destination. The formula isn't that difficult. But the problem isn't the formula, it's the metric and for a group of this size I guess if they last a year, they are good ‍. They get 2.5 because when I spoke they at least listened and tried. We tried this new restaurant. The people that work there are very nice. Our server was a bit slow. My order came out wrong. I asked for sausage and rye toast. It came out with bacon and sourdough toast. I had to wait for 10 minutes while they redid it. While I was waiting, my daughter ate her salad and soup. The salad had a lot of dressing on it and the soup was not hot, it was warm. We figured they would offer some form of apology or accommodation but they didn't. The inside is really nice. Hard review to write. Having to edit my first one. 7 of us came in at noon. At 1:00 one of our party had to leave and got her food to go. At 1:30 90 minutes after we sat down our food finally came. (We asked for the food to be packed to go)? As It turns out, my chicken Caesar salad was really good with tasty warm chicken . So they get an extra star for taste. Went there for lunch. I got a club sandwich and it was 3 giant thick pieces of bread with barely any meat or insides, very dry as well. My friend got a French dip and sent it back because there was no cheese on it. They took it back and apologized then someone came out and said the cheese is just mixed in with the meat and they'll put extra cheese on the next one. Brought him a new one and it had barely any cheese in it. The meat/filling didn't even cover the whole roll. Reminded us of Panera, not a nice restaurant. It is definitely not worth the price (we paid $20 for each sandwich). On top of all of this, they were extremely slow with the service. We were in there for almost 2 hours.
