I love natales!! Great cakes, amazing brownies and really really good cannolis. They have a specialty cake something called philly fluff or similar to that. It's pretty good. Only issue is pArkjgn can be tough and it's kind of on a weird location, if it's your first time visiting it can be easily missed. So far I haven't had anything I don't like from this bakery. (A little pricey, but thats ok for the quality) read more

The bakery had two phone numbers in the order that they could have called to remind her to pick up, before they closed for 4 days. Carrot, chocolate mousse and the famous Philly Fluff- they nailed them all. I have not been impressed with their Italian pastries, however. Cookies are okay, but I have enjoyed better. Their bread is pretty marvelous. Got their apple cake and it was a disaster- soggy all the way through. But the other cakes are consistently amazing. Zero stars if I could! I traveled 3 hours from CT to buy 4 cakes that we had put aside for us. Due to an accident and closure of highway it set us back and wouldn't arrive until 10 minutes past closing time. I called to explain the situation and the manager told me "there's no discussion we close at 5:30" she proceeded to say "I don't care" TWICE after explaining we traveled 3 hours to get these cakes for Christmas Eve. We arrived and she had closed the bakery. We wasted 7.5 hours driving, gas money and toll money to not even get our cakes and be told by an extremely rude and inconsiderate manager that she did not care. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! read more

Love coming here all the time. Every thing they bake here is fresh. From their cakes to bread, and to cookies. Im a huge fan of their philly fluff, which is very delectable and moist- so good. Parking can be a bit of a challenge. Only a few cars can be parked at the parking lot and a few on the curb. Be here early in the morning to get what you want. The place gets busy quickly and pastries are sold out quickly. read more

I've been here a few times. The standouts were the Philly Fluff and the almond bear claw. Everything has been good. However the people have been unfriendly and unhelpful. It is beyond the kind of general grumpiness you might get at a store. This one woman looks at me with hate in her eyes. I know that is a strong word, but that is my impression. I have actually taken tests and participated in psychology experiments on reading emotions in faces, and scored very high. I don't think I am misreading this woman. I am not sure how specific it is to me, or to race, or to people in general. But I won't waste time puzzling it out. I don't think I'll go any more, even though their pastries and cakes are delicious. It doesn't taste good when the person looks at you like that. At least that is one less thing making me fat. P.S. The younger ones who work there seem normal, so a star for them. read more

Do me a favor, get your cake at Costco. Try Shop Rite they have a decent cheap baked goods. Even drive to another town and scope out a bakery. Just leave Natales to me...if you've been there and don't like it, great. If you haven't, don't. It's crowded enough. This place is good, some things are better then others but good god, where else are you going to get the service, the quality and the history. This is like your great grandmother baking a cake for you. You can't buy that experience, right? But you can. Grab a number, a cup of coffee and choose. You can't go wrong. read more

I'm a tough critic on bakeries as I've been spoiled by some fancy ones in Manhattan plus I make my own desserts. I thought the pastries were okay.....didn't like the brownies or cupcakes but I guess with the kids eating these, they don't care as long as it's sweet! I had ordered the French apple pie for Thanksgiving and most of our family thought it was too sweet and I would agree...it was an overall good pie with the apples but a bit too sweet...maybe it's the raisins and that icing on top of the pie that did in the sweetness. The one thing that I really like from this bakery was the Napoleon cake...bought it for a summer get together and that whole cake was devoured with all good comments in 15 minutes! Got the Italian Napoleon and it was yummy....how is it different? it has vanilla and chocolate custard and the cake is soaked in rum. Oooh...this one you got to try! Just tried their signature cake , Philly fluff cake...what is this?? It's like a butter pound cake shaped in a ring. Asked one of the patrons and they raved about it so I was intrigued and went for it but in blueberry. After tasting this, I give them thumbs up..it was light and not so sweet and all the fresh blueberries baked in there with this crumbly sugar topping...this is delicious! I could see me eating this for breakfast, a snack and dessert. The service is good as they were prepared if you have custom orders of which I did for my dad's 70th birthday...they made these petit fours with custom writing....it was overly sweet for me but when they are small cakes the sweetness wasn't overkill and it goes well with coffee. I wish they had a larger parking lot....difficult to get in where there's a crowd and difficult to get out as it could be dangerous when there's alot of cars driving up that road. For a local bakery, it's pretty good but would go only the items that are truly scrumptious. read more

OH Natales, what will I do without you? (I'm moving to Africa of all places, and I can't take you with me!) Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE needs a Natales in their town. Seriously world, it's my treat place, my had a bad day place, my birthday party place, my I don't want to bake place, my splurging place, and my buy some delish garlic bread place. It's the place my son had his first cookie. and his second, and third, and fourth... you get the idea. It's the place I bring everyone visiting. And I'm slowly but surely working my way through their items. A favorite- chocolate horns. YES! Go home with one of these and make yourself a pot of coffee, or a cup of tea... Let the world slip by one bite at a time. You won't regret it. I love to come in the afternoon, because they put out samples the size of actual hoity toity bakery servings- really, they're huge! The only thing about moving awaya from Natales that is at all good- I may finally lose some weight. This place is a goldmine. I haven't had anything there that was not spectacular. The place is not much to look at from the outside, but once inside it is confectionary paradise. There is a checker cake that is to die for. The Philly Fluff cake is a standard for any celebration at my home. If you go near a holiday, expect to wait as the lines can get pretty long, but luckily they serve coffee and have a ticket you can grab and wait for your number to get called instead of waiting in a line. I stopped by here the other day after reading online reviews. I got two cupcakes (vanilla and chocolate) and a chocolate french horn. The cupcakes were nothing special but I loved the chocolate horn. I'd never had anything like it before but it was dense, buttery and chocolatey! My favorite part was the hefty sample slices they provide by the register. Philly Fluff cake is in class by itself and is their signature product. This is a terrific bakery with many very good products, in fact no bad products at all. The Philly Fluff is a dense, rich with real butter pound cake repeatedly made to perfection. We have shipped them around the world to wondrous reviews begging for more! The front staff is as good as the pastries, very strong process to get you in and get you out. Warning, Warning: On major holidays, if you are there after 7:00AM, forget it!!! Literally, there is a line of traffic of cars 1/4 mile deep and 20-4 people on line all day long. Tip: if you want Philly Fluff cake to bring to someone's or give away, buy them and put them in the refrigerator...they last beautifully for 4-5 days. More important Tip: buy 2 for you. 1 for after you taste it at home, you will need the 2nd one because you will be upset the first one is gone...! Promise: you will become addicted to these if you try it once. And you will be hero to anyone you deliver this to for any or no occasion. *4.5 Stars* The best bakery in a 15 mile radius HOWEVER not the best overall (Calandra's still takes the cake...no pun intended...rim shot...heyoooooo)... Anyway walking into this place you feel like you gained a couple of pounds just by the delicious smell wafting in the air. Oh how great the smell is. As a matter of fact you can smell it a block away...mmmmm. Anyway their selection is extensive. They have all the typical pastries along with tons of Italian favorites (delicious sfogliatelle, cannoli and so on). Their specialty is Philly Fluff which is basically an angel food cake but on steroids. Their cup cakes are magnificent! Large selection (my favorite is ALL OF THEM :-)). Their prices are a bit high BUT it's well worth the investment (not so much if you are on a diet). During the holidays (Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas) forget about venturing here at the last minute or thinking you will be in or out. It's crazy busy and their parking is limited (although you can park on the st). But it's well worth the stop in for a tasty treat. You cannot go wrong on any thing in this place. ENJOY! read more

Decided to get a strawberry shortcake and was UNpleasently surprised. The cake was definitely old, tasted dry, stale and the strawberries tasted old as well AND not to mention the giant ball of fuzz in the top of the cake icing! Traditional Italian Bakery. Tried a bunch (cupcakes, biscotti, cannoli) but I'd come back just for the Sticky Buns. - chocolate coated cannoli- the ricotta filling was super smooth with bits of chocolate chips inside. -carrot cake cupcake- this tasted more like a banana cupcake with barely-there shreds of carrots. the only part i liked about this cupcake was the icing-not too sweet and light consistency. -hazelnut chocolate biscotti- stuffed with hazelnuts. I'd definitely get this again -chocolate dipped with walnuts and dried fruit-- smaller slivers of walnut, raisins, cranberries. the choc. didn't have added sugar which offset the sweetness of the dried fruit. both were soft and chewy(than crumbly). I usually go for hard biscotti's but didn't mind that they were soft, since they were chewy. -sticky bun (A+++!)- filled with raisins and topped with walnut pieces. Best sticky bun I've had thus far. Amazingly delicious. the bun was solid in size, stuffed with ample amounts of raisins, dotted with a hint of cinnamon, and slathered with a light layer of buttery brown sugar glaze. the bits of walnut on top provided a nice contrast to the sticky, soft texture of the bun.
