This place is a gem nestled in Key Biscayne. Crowd is upscale. The service is superb, ambiance is quiet, classy, and subdued. The food is out of this world. I will be back.

    ASADO TOTO

I went in with very high expectations since this place was recommended by a friend who's also a foodie. The ambience was pleasant and relaxing. Emilio was our server, and he was excellent, very attentive and helpful, especially considering how crowded the restaurant was. My boyfriend ordered the entraña with mashed potatoes, but unfortunately the food arrived cold. , but we didn't mentioned anything I ordered the Asado Toto, a 22-ounce short rib that's slow-cooked for about 22 hours. I was really excited to try it, but most of the short rib turned out to be fat, and it was a tad bland which was disappointing for a nearly $60 dish. Overall, my expectations weren't fully met, but since the restaurant was extremely busy, I didn't want to wait for another plate or make a big issue out of it. That said, the service was great, the tiramisu was excellent, and the mimosa pitchers are very good, definitely a better option if you're drinking with friends.

Pistachio gelato ball with pistachio nuts and dulce de leche. Espectacular.

We will give this place another chance, but I will tell you about our two experiences so far. I try to only reviews if I have something good to say, but I have been thinking about this for a couple of days and it is bothering me a little bit. The place is beautiful. We made a reservation for six of us for 7:30 PM specifying indoors. They could only seat us outdoors, but since there were outdoor heaters, we agreed and it was fine and enjoyable. All of us enjoyed our meals. This is really not about the food, but about the política del restorán. The first thing was the waiter gave my wife a hard time about the temperature of her steak she was ordering. She said she would like it medium pink or "medium plus" but no dripping blood. He said medium would be "bloody". Then he shocked our group by saying if it's not medium with blood, it will be cooked all the way through medium well. As it turned out, it came out fine, but we didn't really appreciate getting an argument right off the bat. One of us got milanesa. We asked for a fried egg on top (as is the option everywhere) and were refused. He said flatly that the chef has no eggs. One of the items on the dinner menu is the chivito which carries a fried egg! The reason we eat milanesa with fried egg is because it moistens the plate because milanesa alone can be dry, which this was, but still tasty. As I said, our problem was with the service, which was a very regimented and unyielding with no effort at all in the interest of the customer. This is a good little restaurant, but not a world class chuchi Michelín restaurant of 5 stars in Paris, France where one knows ahead of time the Cordon Bleu chefs (and waiters) could be expected to be a little snobby. Here, I don't know why they cannot accommodate a customer's request especially where it is such a simple request for exactly one egg. It does no good to get into it with a customer about meat temperature either. It was embarrassing. Having said that, our $640 dinner was overall enjoyable, and we had a pleasant evening (other than the lacking service). Given that it was our first time there and that perhaps it was just an off night for the server, we tipped 25%. We noticed that they do breakfast which looked very delicious online so we made plans to meet there the next morning for breakfast. We all got ready and showed up at 10:30 as their website says they do breakfast until 11:30. We were seated and handed lunch menus, and stated that we hadn't had our coffee yet and we were looking to get the breakfast. The answer came. No. We were told they do not serve breakfast --only on the weekend they have brunch. I have no idea what this was all about, perhaps their website needs to be updated, but they very firmly refused us breakfast (by the way, we were the only patrons in the restaurant). We left very confused, because we are not really sure if it is true they do not serve breakfast during the week.

Came here to celebrate my parents birthday. They were both born on the same day six years apart. The Uruguayan food was fantastic and the outdoor setting was great. The service was great as well. If you are in Key Biscayne this has to be on your list of restaurants to try.

Narbona is in the heart of cocowalk. A classic Modern Italian style restaurant with a small market feel. We stopped in to see what the buzz was all about. On a Saturday evening the location was buzzing and busy at every angle. It was loud inside so we elected to sit outside which were located just in front of the front entrance which made for a more peaceful and cozy place to sit as we enjoyed the foot traffic of cocowalk. We ordered a glass of wine, Cabernet and Pinot Grigio which had a smooth finish and some delicious burrata as an appetizer. The burrata was very good with prosciutto that was tasty drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette. Overall it was a nice experience as we ordered tapas and wine. If you're looking for a quieter atmosphere I'd suggest elsewhere but Narbona is in a very lively location with potential to do very well as long as it continues to invest in great service. As for positive feedback, the rear entrance from the parking garage was fully visible to the dining area. Just as suggestion for aesthetics, a privacy wall or plants could be a nice addition to make it more of an experience to those seated inside and those walking in from the rear.

The sorry looking crushed and broken tiramisu we were served.

I've visited Narbona twice over the past few weeks. 5 of us came here for dinner on a Tuesday night, and then my husband and I returned for dinner the following Sunday. During both visits we enjoyed the small "courtyard" area as you first enter, as it feels like you're indoors, but it's actually open air and our dog was welcome. The potted cacti along the upper section of the walls is an interesting touch. The strongest point for this restaurant is that they have some really solid quality wines, and the markup isn't much above what you'd pay in a retail wine store. That's extraordinary, as most restaurants charge a significant markup on wines. Service was also quite good during both our visits here. Why this restaurant only gets 4 stars for "good" is that all the foods I've had here, aside from the dulche de leche lava cake, which was excellent, were just average. When we came here with a group of 5 we shared the calamari appetizer. The rings were quite large and it appeared they were only fried for a short time as the breading wasn't browned at all. They were served with marinara sauce, but so many restaurants now serve calamari with more unique and flavorful sauces, that the plain marinara here at Narbona seems lacking. On our most recent visit we shared the charcuterie board and it was just OK. One of the meats was very heavily processed and tasted like bologna and we didn't eat more than a bite or two and left the rest. My main course during our first visit was the Ahi Tuna. It came with avocado, tomatoes and vegetables. It was very good and the tuna was cooked perfectly, but it could have used something more - maybe just a small bit of Asian noodles, to make it a little more substantial. Most recently I had the homemade spinach and ricotta ravioli. First, there were only a few raviolis so the dish wasn't filling at all, but also, it was served with just a drizzle of butter but no real "sauce" at all, which again, made it feel it was lacking something.

The food is great here! Service was off but since the food was so good it's still a 5. We didn't have a reservation but were seated immediately on a Tuesday. The place was packed so clearly people like it. We had the provoleta, salmon, pasta, and the chivito sandwich. All were amazing. The star was definitely the pasta and the chivito sandwich. The salmon was good but extremely standard. The provoleta was a very fun app to share, highly recommend. We also got chicken empanadas to go and they were SO GOOD. Definitely recommend for a date night or group dinner. It's pricey but worth it!

Incredible!!!!! With a short stay in key Biscayne, we were so glad we chose Narbona for a lovely dinner Al fresco. Such a gorgeous patio! This was the only place we visited where the staff was NOT on their phone!!! We got two pastas- both delicious, the caramel crepes- still dreaming about those, and a flan- was too stuffed to finish it haha! Would definitely be my ONLY recommendation if visiting the area.

This is my favorite restaurant in Key Biscayne. I shared the entraña with a side of grilled asparagus and it was spectacular. The entraña was super juicy and had a lot of flavor, I absolutely loved it and highly recommend. Next time I go I would like to get either the Filet Mignon that looked delicious from far or one of their pastas which apparently are very famous. We paired dinner with some good Argentinian wine "El Enemigo". It was the perfect combination. Definitely will buy this wine again. The waiter was super nice, she said that was one of her favorite wines and she always made sure we had our cups filled. I went for dinner on a summer night and sat outside, and it was so pleasant because they had big fans and the music wasn't too loud. I would come here for dinner more than lunch just because at lunch it might be too hot on the patio and inside was a little loud with all the echo of conversations.

We feasted on the "Narbona Experience" with wine pairings: charcuterie board with their in-house cheeses, prosciutto and salamis, vitello tonnato, fried artichokes, stuffed zuccini blossoms, two different types of empanadas, fresh pappardelle with black truffle & mushrooms, porcini mushroom risotto, steak & frites, gnocci, homemade gelato, and finished it off with that glorious dulce de leche tower. It was amazing!!! Special thanks to Maria for her professionalism, kindness and always great attitude to accommodate any request for the group.

It appears to be very clean and tidy and the do have a lot of seating areas and options. Their prepared and cut produce is underwhelming. I had a tequeño that was great and Argentinian ham and cheese empanada that was too salty for my taste. My friends coffee order was wrong but the biggest disappointment was the miss communication amongst the staff. We were so excited to order sandwiches from their extensive and very creative Deli Menu and when we went to order the Executive Meal option the deli counter they told us we had to order at the Bakery we went to the Bakery and they told us we had to order at the Pick Up Counter when we go to the pick up counter they told us we had to order at the deli and we were left going back and forth. After informing the staff what all the counters had told us he just shrugged and said it wasn't at that counter. Although they weren't rude there was definitely lack of guidance and lots of miscommunication. Because of this we decided we could not continue going back and forth and left. Very bummed about this experience didn't meet my expectations at all.
