    Post Apocalyptic Brunch Plate

Brunch is AWESOME, nice relaxed cafe, service was great. Highly suggest the Post Apocalyptic Brunch for a nice sampling of their offerings.

Cute spot to grab a quick bite. However, this Craft Kitchen is not up to par to the one in the Gables. The bacon wrapped dates stuffed with chorizo was a great idea but the chorizo inside was hard & I almost thought it was the pit of the date. Their burger was decent & their fries were fresh & crunchy. The sangria was a nice refresher but there wasn't much to the boozy side of it. Service was okay but you have to probably be a local for this to be a repeat visit.

Really pleasantly happy find in Key Biscayne. We were strolling and came upon an outdoor table and decided to have lunch. This was a very memorable meal and experience. The server was from Argentina and we got a chance to chat about our recent trip there. She curated a dining experience based on our likes and we went from there. We ate more than these items but kept finishing before I could take a pic. If you are in the area- just go- you can't go wrong.

This is a smaller restaurant in South Miami. Found it when leaving from a service with a friend. We decided to try this place after looking at the menu. We were greeted by the staff when we walked and they were kind. The burger was delicious and the drink was refreshing. This is a nice and casual lunch location in South Miami.

CRAFT, a recent addition to Key Biscayne's dining scene, caught our attention just days after its opening. You may have noticed CRAFT locations popping up across Miami. CRAFT will have more locations opening including Brickell, Midtown, and Little Havana. Look out for them in your area. They serve Breakfast & Brunch until 4 pm daily, extending to Lunch and Dinner, a broader range than many other places in KB. The choices span from classic Eggs Benedict and Pancakes to other options like Salads, Sandwiches, and of course Mains, including Steak & Fries, Milanesa, Baked Salmon, and more. They offer Happy Hour (HH) Monday-Friday 3-7pm daily at all locations. HH includes $5 Beer $9 Cocktails and $6 Wine Glass. Our experience at CRAFT was great right from the start--we didn't have to wait at all, we came mid-day which was perfect. We were warmly greeted as soon as we walked in. The menu at CRAFT offers a nice variety, truly providing "a little something for everyone." The clean and well-thought-out design of the location added to our curiosity of this new little spot in KB. The staff were not only warm and kind but also incredibly helpful in guiding us through their recommendations. Although they had only been open to the public here for a few days they were all well trained. They knew the menu well and you can tell were very excited to be working there. We began with the Goat Cheese Croquettes and Meatballs. The round goat cheese-filled croquettes were a very surprising delight, I was tempted to order a second serving. Truly they are heavenly - do not forget to order these when you visit CRAFT. While the meatballs were flavorful, they leaned towards being a bit dense for my taste. However, the accompanying slices of sourdough complimented the dish well - I definitely dipped the bread in the marinara (yum)! Taking advantage of their special, "Burger Tuesdays", we indulged in a bacon cheeseburger and also ordered the Steak with Fries. The burger was a nice treat, it reminded me of a classic, well-crafted masterpiece. Both the burger and the steak were cooked to perfection, meeting our specific doneness preferences. For dessert, we ordered the flan paired with a creamy and decadent dulce de leche--a perfect pairing. Truly, the dulce de leche alone can be a desert. Our overall experience at CRAFT was exceptional, and we will be returning to check out more items on their menu. CRAFT seems like the perfect addition to Key Biscayne, and I hope it becomes a longstanding gem in the area!

They are complaining that the Key Biscayne people who go to Flour and Weirdough's are taking all their parking places. Flour and Weirdough's has had to take out most of their tables to cut down on the weekend morning traffic. I say that Flour and Wierdough's is not that good. I would not eat there unless I lived close enough so that I would have an easy walk. If I have to get in my car to drive, I would rather drive to the better places in Key Biscayne. La Boulangerie Boul'Mich, Artisans and Nahuen are all attractive options. * * * Flour and Weirdough's combines two aspects. One is a cooked breakfast establishment offering relatively exotic hot egg dishes. Think of this as eggs around the world. I ordered a Turkish eggs, which was a layer of Turkish yogurt, two sunny side up eggs, four small slices of very good toast, and flavorings. Take away the toast and you are looking at meh. Given how good the carbs were and how flat the protein ingredients were, if I were to come back, I would be looking more seriously at something like pancakes. They do have a lot of pancake options. The second aspect is an orthodox bakery. The cinnamon roll is supposedly famous. I have had amazing cinnamon rolls in my home town of Austin. (The gimmick was darker flour and less sugar for a baritone savory experience. The cinnamon added complexity.) At Flour and Weirdough's you get the orthodox white bread, with a ton of white sugar. Less sticky than Cinnabon Lighter than Cinnabon. But the same concept. White bread and sugar don't get me all that excited. I am sure there was cinnamon in there - but I had to go looking for it. * * * Coffee was absolutely mediocre. Hey guys, you doing breakfast and a cup of joe? You gotta have a decent cup of joe. * * * I suspect if I had ordered from elsewhere in the bakery case, I could have done better. Some of the cookies looked pretty interesting. With enough trial and error, I could find dishes that were good enough so that I would be willing to jam up the neighbor's parking lot. * * * But why struggle to find an excuse to enter the civil war between Flour and Weirdough and its neighbors When I can go to competing brunch joints and get a million good dishes? No muss No fuss.

In a word everything. The decor is not awful itself, but feels a little industrial, with televisions plunked over the walls. But the service and the food just take it to a different level of bad. Our waitress hadn't the faintest clue to what she was doing. She asked how well done we wanted our carpaccio. She so clearly didn't know what she was doing, I had her recite our orders back to me. How could she mess that up? Good question. How about serving all of the food at one time, appetizers and main course? We had carpaccio, supposedly Argentine beef; a pancho; a filet mignon; and Milanezza Martin. Starting with the semi edible, the fillet was not good, the presentation was awful, stock dry on its own on a black plate, with mashed potatoes in a separate ramekin on the side, and the sad chimichurri sauce also in a separate ramekin, but you could swallow it. Everything else was a disgrace. The milanezza was junk they got out of the fridge and microwave before they planted it on the table. My daughter found it literally non-edible, and she is the kindest of diners. She said it tasted like the fridge... A kind way of putting it The pancho was a profoundly bland hot dog in a stale bun. But the "carpaccio" took pride of place. Simultaneously part-frozen and decaying beef, of which my daughter took a bite, and then was stuck finding a polite way to spit it into a napkin. North of inedible. All of this terrible food was put onto our table at one time, about three minutes after we ordered it, because obviously it had just been defrosted in the microwave. And to add insult to injury, the waitress came by, with a toothy, TGIF smile, and said how are we doing? Bloody awful is the only answer. In a move that clearly reflects where the restaurant is at, I noticed they put 19% automatically on the bill for "service". Then they had the cojones to ask for more of a tip when you sign electronically on the tableside device. I looked at the waitress incredulously with raised eyebrows, and that was that. Never again.

I ordered a juice with ginger and pineapple which was so refreshing and friend had a smoothie that had peanut butter and cacao chocolate in it. We shared a breakfast as our drinks were filling. We had the Japanese style omelet with the veggies stuffed in the middle and multigrain toast with avocado. It was tasty and didn't leave us full. Only thing was the food came out and the eggs were not hot and I like dry toast but my friend requested butter and it took a bit longer than we liked and she was almost done with her breakfast, but she didnt forget about us and did bring out a good portion to which my friend said the butter had a nice flavor to it. All in all we would definitely come back but I'd be up to try something new including a smoothie next time.
