    Complimentary chips and salsa
    Lala C.

In Miami for a couple of night , pre- cruise time, it was an opportunity to revisit one of my favorite beaches that I had enjoyed as a teenager here. Fortunately, Key Biscayne is very close to the JW Marriott on Brickell where we stayed . While enjoying some Crandon beach time, we walked along the beach to here for an afternoon light lunch. We were seated outside on the patio by choice and enjoyed the beach view. Complimentary fresh corn chips and salsa, we ordered guacamole that was fresh and tasty. Hubby enjoyed the fish tacos, tortilla soup, and I ordered a salad. Unfortunately, I had to return the salad due to the poor condition of the greens. The refreshed salad was definitely a step up and exceeded expectations for freshness, added ingredients and presentation. Service was very good as we had hoped for a Ritz location. Great place for people watching too! Skip valet parking and walk on over!

One of the things I love about the Ritz on the Key is that you can enjoy their restaurants without being a guest. I love Cantina Beach. It's Mexican fare with some of my fave margaritas ever. El pepino diablo is my go to which has jalepeños and cucumbers. So refreshing with a kick. If you want some great shareables the nachos and crispy shrimp are great. While they have lots of things to choose from on the menu I always like the burrito. I usually opt for steak. It's huge, and definitely good for splitting with someone. Aside from burritos and tacos which are always welcome by me- nothing beats the Oceanside eats. Is this the most inexpensive experience? No. But the views and mini vacation vibes you get without actually taking a trip makes a stop at the Ritz on the Key one of my favorite things to do on a beautiful day.

I made a reservation on June 23 through Google. We were staying and the Ritz key Biscayne for the long weekend. Our reservation was for July 4 @ 6:30 PM. I was texted it several times to confirm. When we arrived the host said we did not have any reservations. The place was empty. After showing the texts he gave us the worst table under the sun he could find. We told him to call a manager. At that moment he gave us another table with no view at all off the sea. The manager never came. The drinks were not cold and the service poor. Food was ok. Finally the manager arrived to help with service. Not to talk to us. After explaining what happen he apologized and offer a free Mojito at the pool next day with him!!! Really so disrespectful that is terrible. His name is Ivan. I formally complained at the front desk and ask to speak with a hotel manager. Never happened. I love the Ritz and is sad to see that customer service is getting so low!! That is worst that bad customer service. Me having a Mojito with Ivan the manager from La Cantina won't solve the problem of not finding my reservation even when I show the text. Finally after 7:30 pm people started arriving to watch the fireworks.

Warm and friendly welcome. Frank and the bar staff are amazing. Making it easy to order at the bar to take out. Amazing drinks the Black Blue Mojito and Virgin Pina are our favorites. The bar also accommodates our request to have Coke instead of Pepsi. The kid's menu is great and definitely, and the octopus ceviche is amazing. Thank you for the amazing lunch.

I LOVE IT HERE! I did a staycation with one of my good friends. We used to work at the Ritz Carlton in Orlando and wanted to try another Ritz out. We were blown away with the service and food. The staff immediately came up to us when we sat down to lounge at the pool. We ordered the steak nachos, steak & chicken quesadillas, and french fries. It was the best poolside food I have ever had and for not a bad price too. Everything tasted very fresh and it had the perfect crunch; nothing was soggy. All the food was seasoned very well. Overall, I was very impressed with the ambiance of the pool and restaurant. You HAVE to go to Dune Bar and try Geno's famous frozen mojito. It's the perfect drink that will quench your thirst all summer long!

Located on the right side of the main pool, and not far from the beach, is this Mexican themed bar. As soon as we approached, the bartender greeted us and took our order, a couple of margaritas, and boy were they delicious. You can sit at the bar, or at one of the few high top tables. While we were sitting there, the bartender even brought us some complimentary tortilla chips and salsa, which were delicious. This place is great for chilling near the pool and taking it all in. What a fun time!

    The churros!!

One of our most favorite hometown hotels is the Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne and this past Sunday we decided to make a visit. We decided to have some lunch at the Cantina Beach which offers Mexican cuisine with an amazing ocean view. We ordered chips and guacamole, cheese quesadilla, and chicken tenders with fries. Unfortunately I found the guacamole bland, while the chips were not crispy. The cheese quesadilla was also very underwhelming and small portion as well. Surprisingly the best flavor dish was the chicken tenders and French fries were super tasty. For dessert we ordered the churros which were sprinkled with cinnamon sugar and had a chocolate dipping sauce. The churros was ok I felt it was over fried, but cinnamon sugar compensated from the texture. The service was the best part, what you expect from the Ritz.

    Guacamole - good!

The Lighthouse at the Ritz was closed for switch over so we were recommended to pop over here for a snack. Decided to go for the lighter fare, ceviche, guacamole, and tuna tostada. I don't know why I expected great things, but something about being at the ritz you think you would get something fantastic to match the price point. While the fish was incredibly fresh for the ceviche, there really was no flavor. No heat, no punch from lime or anything else. It was a great portion and good to keep it light but really needed something to make it pop. The tuna tostada was good but I felt like it was a seek and find adventure to find the pieces of tuna. Funny how little fish you get on the tostada but abundance in the ceviche. The best part of all dishes was the simple guacamole and chips.

Verde salad with special catch fish

Amazing food! Friendly staff, great service! I had Verde salad and added special catch fish and it was bomb , delicious flavors. We tried their guacamole, it was so good too! My husband had burrito with steak and he enjoyed it very much ! Definitely recommend this restaurant for everyone!!!

This is a beautifully decorated bar is located inside the Ritz Carlton, Key Biscayne. I love how you can enjoy some drinks in here and then seat either in front of the pool or where I did, with the beach view. I spent hours at this place with my friend and we both enjoyed the drinks. Mine was a Margarita and let me tell you that it was a strong one, not too much, simply right!! I found this place impeccable and everyone here was wearing masks which made me feel safe. Thank you for the great service at the bar and also the waiters there.

Cuban with side salad vs chips.

Nice little breakfast/lunch spot. It's pricey but portions are large. I came on New Year's Day, the Cuban was great and this is a single order. Note though it's not a traditional Cuban, it has Prosciutto instead of ham and pork.

The hardest part about dining here was deciding what I wanted to order. I could have ordered the entire menu it looked so good! Helpful tip... check out the menu and know what you're going to order before you get in line. Otherwise you're going to be pressured to order at the front of the line. When you walk in, you place your order and pay for it and take a table number. You need to find your own table. Our service was pretty quick, despite how busy the restaurant was. My cold brew was very good and a nice start to the meal. Our guacamole came next and it was nicely styled with pomegranate, cheese and cilantro on top. Yum! The real star of the show for me was this unassuming looking House Club Sandwich that was to die for. Seriously ... it was so good. I ordered mine without the ham, and it was divine! I wish i lived closer. I'm already dreaming of coming back. My son ordered some kind of short rib/beef burrito and it disappeared so quickly I didn't even get to snap a photo. This is a perfect spot to enjoy a great meal, I highly recommend it. One thing I can say is that it's on the pricey side. $113 lunch for 2 added up super fast but it was well worth it. I'll be dreaming of that sandwich til my next visit!

I ordered the mahi mahi tacos, and while they tasted ok, the portion size felt pretty small for the price. Overall, it came across as a bit overpriced for what you get. The service style is more casual and self-directed. You order and pay at the register, get a number, and then find your own seat while they bring the food out to you. Water is self-serve, and once you're done with your meal, you just head out. There's minimal interaction with staff, which might appeal to people who prefer a more low-key, independent dining experience or want a place to sit and work without being interrupted. That said, the service did not feel very friendly or welcoming. And personally, I left feeling a bit underwhelmed.

Having stayed till closing of two music week events the prior to evenings, this was in my mind a great recovery meal. Despite the name, this restaurant is not just Mexican, but actually fusion with Uruguayan cuisine. The main courses focused on that area, and the tacos had a lot of exotica such as ear and tongue. Given my preferences, and my stomach, the only basic options that I would get were there Al Pastor and chicken tacos, five dollars each. The menu said that they had alcohol, but apparently not on that week, supposedly for some bureaucratic issue. The tacos were served with just the tortilla and the meat, along with a basket of fixings, such as cilantro and line. No complaints of the food really, the tacos were actually well seasoned and for my taste buds made even better with the hot sauce that left a yummy after burn. When I went to the bathroom, the handle on the door was damaged. Besides that, in the end I was not feeling the place especially that there was a mandatory gratuity.

The drinks were amazing, I was excited to try Illegal Mezcal, our server helped my mom find what she would like and gave overall excellent service. I then realized the restaurant is owned by "First Class Hospitality" a group with nearly two dozen locations/concepts around South Beach. Alongside a couple other corporate hospitality providers, they have the entire dining market cornered with the same specials, identical pricing, and same foodservice providers. I'm sure many tourists couldn't care any less about the food they eat having no real ties to the area, but I do. At the end of the meal we had a 20% service charge which our server said did not go to them as a gratuity, the server was unable to apply the "Happy Hour" discount claiming our drinks didn't count though there was no indication based on the "Buy 1 Get 1 Free Cocktails, Beers and Wines" and we ordered off the cocktail portion of the menu. We were told by the hostess that the two other Mexican places we considered down the street were the exact same kitchen and prices, just different buildings and names, even down to watching our food be carried up the sidewalk from another building. Between the corporate soullessness, shady Happy Hour practice, cookie cutter concept, a "service charge" which doesn't benefit staff, and the food poisoning I have attributed to it, by the end I just felt sour. I regret patronizing this place and wish I had been more judicious in my choice. If I have to spend $100 on a meal, I'd rather it stay local.

I am not typically a fan of corn tortillas (they do not offer flour tortilla as an alternative, so you have to have corn tortillas), but they were honestly delicious. I don't know if it is multiple days, but on Wednesday when I went, they told us about it. They have indoor seating and nice, outdoor patio seating. They also had a mariachi band there too which is always fun and a nice touch. The service was great! My daughter and I decided to share our dishes. We decided to start with the Queso Fundido Poblano and Tortilla Chips with Guac as our appetizers. The chips were crunchy good and the Queso Fundido was good but was burnt around the edges and could have used more cheese. Our main dishes were the Enchiladas Suizas, which were delicious and perfectly made with suiza sauce to emphasize the flavor. Yummy! We also ordered Quesa Birria, which seemed overcooked and the tortillas were too hard. Since this is considered a Mexican restaurant, for a side dish I asked Ana for red refried beans that I love but I received black bean hummus. I explained to the waiter that I didn't order that and described Mexican refried whole red beans to him. He came back with smashed red beans hummus style, similar to the black bean hummus. I ate a couple of bites and had to push it away. I had my daughter taste it and she didn't like it either. It didnt taste like the ones I was used to all my life. Every restaurant is different so we understand. We chose iced house water to drink because it was early in the day. They leave a bottle of it at your table which was nice. They do have a full bar and I would love to try a classic Margarita there one day. For dessert, we ordered the Tres Leches Chocoabuelitas. One bite each was enough for us and we had to leave it, sorry to say because we love chocolate but this was bitter and not smooth to the taste. I don't know what happened to it but it was not edible. We will have to come here another time to try other dishes. We were there on 01/07/26. There is street parking and we parked a short block away. Entrance to the restaurant is ADA approved.
