We came here for Sunday Brunch and according to their social media, Lightkeepers at the Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne has 2 brunch pricing options: 1) Brunch buffet with select bottomless beverages for $145/person + service charge and tax, or 2) Bottomless mimosas, bloody marys, proseco and a few other selections for $45/person and you can order food a la carte from their menu. We usually hit a few brunch buffets per year on average; In my opinion, the offering at Lightkeepers is simply not worth the cost vs. brunch experiences we've had at other Miami area restaurants. We arrived and were seated right away on the outdoor patio and this area was dog friendly with a few patrons there with their furry companions. The server was friendly and outgoing throughout our time here and asked if we were interested in brunch. She listed off the usual, standard brunch drink options, but there was nothing terribly unique or creative about any of them. The one interesting thing is that they had carafes and dispensers of most of the brunch drinks at the end of the buffet line, so I guess if your server wasn't bringing them fast enough, you could go and get your own. One nearby table paid their tab and cashed out following their meal, but continued going back to those dispensers to serve themselves additional beverages before leaving. The buffet itself was solid, featuring most of the usual American-fare items one might expect and the amount of options and presentation was good, but really wasn't anything highly impressive or noteworthy, especially considering the pricepoint - which was $373 with included service charge and tax for 2 people. For brunch, I think I prefer the following: Prime Fish - Nearly the same unlimited food and beverage selections as Lightkeepers in a beautiful setting, but about 1/2 the price. Quinto in Brickell - Cheaper, also unlimited food and drink (though not buffet-style), with many more unique and creative bottomless drinks available vs. Lightkeepers. LaMar - Costs nearly as much as Lightkeepers, but more creative food options, incredible presentation, many more creative drinks vs. Lightkeepers and one can also request nearly anything they wish from the bar for the 2 hour bottomless time period. read more

We went to Light Keepers on a Saturday night. We had to make an early reservation, 5:30, because nothing else was available. However, there were only 2 other tables there and in the course of the hour and a half we were there only 2 more tables were seated. So while the restaurant had a nice view and good service, it certainly wasn't a fun and exciting atmosphere. That being said, the food was tasty. While I wouldn't say it was the most delicious meal I ever had, it was very yummy. The Brussels sprouts were by far my favorite thing that we ate, the glaze was so savory. The Brussels sprouts alone get 5 stars! The drive there was beautiful and scenic, the hotel was very impressive, and the restaurant staff was very friendly. Miami Spice 2022: I was very surprised at the quality of the food in this hotel restaurant. There werent many food options on their lunch menu that appealed to me, but their fish sandwich ended up being so good! The soft hawaiian roll bun, flaky fish, and tasty secret sauce, made for a great sandwich. For appetizer I ordered the jumbo shrimp cocktail which came with 3 giant shrimp. I'm giving 5 stars because my server provided us with excellent service and the food was great however the hosts (3 of them) had nothing but attitude and they will treat you with sarcasm so BE AWARE. I initially didn't make a reservation and the 3 hosts immediately asked me if I was staying at the hotel? and I replied "no but I live here" and the 3 hosts replied "we are only seating guests that are staying at the hotel". I immediately went online and made a reservation for 7pm (it was 6:22pm) and I made them aware that I made a reservation and they asked me "oh were you able to make one?" And I replied "I'm actually a regular here and some gentleman said "oh welcome back" also with sarcasm. In the meantime my husband and I decided to grab a cocktail at the bar while we waited for our reservation. At the bar Mr. Anthony is always great and treats us with respect. As soon as it was 7pm we went back to the restaurant and the 3 hosts that refused to sit us down at first had no choice but to sit us down. Apparently the 3 sarcastic hosts are clueless of how the reservation website works because I easily proved them wrong. One the 3 hosts asked me "is it ok if I sit you outside?" And I replied "no I want inside". Please see pictures below there were plenty of tables and she had the audacity to ask me if it was ok to sit us outside (it was raining and windy). At the end we were sat inside at a table (the hosts described it as her last table) "poor thing her last table" ‍ ED was our server and he was EXCELLENT! The only reason I'm giving this review 5 stars is only because of ED's service however the clueless, rude, sarcastic and wanting to be smarty 3 hosts can be place somewhere where they don't work with professionals. 3 hosts that are getting paid to be the rude and unprofessional face of their restaurant. Love this place! Feel like I'm on vacation when I come so it's a great place for guests. I've only been here for lunch. We love dining on the outdoor patio overlooking the beach. I've had the fish and chips and the burger and both were delicious! My only complaint would be the fish and chips were a bit of a smaller portion than I'm used to for fish and chips and the burger was cooked a little over what I asked for, but I still very much enjoyed the meal. Located inside of the Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne the Lightkeeper it's a place to be. I had this on my bookmarks even though I've been here before because I always want to visit it again and again. What I loved about this restaurant is how ample and comfortable it is either if you seat inside with the huge places with tables or if you sit outside. The service here is always marvelous, this is not my first time here and I always liked the service. The food is simply amazing, my favorite were the empanadas, they had lamb and chorizo and the taste was wondrous. They were fried to perfection and the taste was superior. Great ambiance! We made reservations as the restaurant does fill up faster at night. We were seated quickly and service was very fast. You are seated outside in a patio next to the pool. There are both covered and uncovered seating areas. It's absolutely beautiful! We ordered two of their specialty drinks- Loggerhead Lavender and Mr. Thompson's Smoked Old Fasioned. The latter drink was VERY Smokey. They were both delicious and strong. We started off with short rip empanadas and it was the best empanadas I've had in Miami. Then we ordered the salmon and 5oz filet with mashed potatoes. Meats were cooked perfectly. They were also very juicy and melt in your mouth. The mashed potatoes appeared liquidy at first but my oh my were they good. To finished, we ordered key lime cheesecake and it was the biggest I'd ever seen. Definitely enough to share or bring some home for later. Of note, they do have a reduced menu due to COVID. We came in hoping to order things from the menu we saw inline but it has changed. I am never one to reject the finer things in life. As my favorite Real Housewife Lisa V. says, "life isn't all diamonds and rosé, but it should be." That's how I found myself visiting Lightkeepers this weekend after I decided to crash my parent's staycation at the Ritz. Amanda the bartender is wonderful bubbly and will chat with you and pour a mean cocktail. My favorite cocktail is el farito. It's refreshing and so pretty to look at. I enjoyed this the other day along with $1 oysters. Yes, there are deals to be had here at Lightkeepers, folks! In fact - they seem to have some sort of special every day. I have visited on a Saturday during their a la carte brunch where $1 oysters can be had until 4 pm. And I've also lingered until 5 pm when their happy hour begins (yes, even on the weekend!). Speaking of lingering - I have also been for lunch. I enjoyed the Tender Lettuce salad with skirt steak as well as a crisp glass of rosé. Once can simply not dine without wine when you're at the Ritz. I'm pretty sure that is a rule somewhere. I've also visited for Ladies night on Thursday, which includes $1 Oysters and $1 Prosecco. IMO this place has the best Bloody Marys. Hands down! My husband and I barely ever drink but the main reason we come here is their delicious brunch Bloody Marys. They use Russian Standard Vodka and a pre-made Bloody Mary mix. Then they garnish the glass with a Tajín rim and two big olives. You can get these or mimosas unlimited on the weekends for $30 which is worth it given that one normally costs $15. The first time we ate at Lightkeepers was in December when we picked up our goodie bags for the Yelpies 2020 Awards event. We came back afterwards for 1) above-praised Bloody Marys, 2) their delicious Lightkeepers Burger, 3) the view and 4) the service. The server we had in December was such a sweet and attentive lady. This time around, our waitress was a bit less attentive but still good. Their menu selection for brunch is not very big but we are planning on sticking to our staples anyway and will come back. read more

Having had such a great time earlier in the week at Lightkeepers Yelp Elite event I decided to bring Nicole for the Saturday Brunch special, which ended up being another five star experience. The service was spectacular, as well as seeing general manager Justin, asking if our eggs needed to be "over easy" just shows that no job was beneath him and everyone here pays attention to detail. Our Saturday brunch included complimentary parking which was another perk. We decided to eat on the patio, and later walked to the beach to swim for a little while. To drink I ordered the special which was a chilled bottle of the AIX rose from Provence, France. The wine was a perfect accompaniment to the warm day. We each ordered the Burrata Beet Salad which was high on my list of recommendations, and the mozzarella was soft and fresh just like the last time I had tried it. I love the salty mushy soft centered texture of this locally produced fresh cheese which goes so well with all of the leafs and veggies in this salad. There are both yellow and red beets. We also shared the Miami Hash over easy. The crispy vaca frita over the black beans and rice were amazing. The ambiance was relaxing as we had full view of the Atlantic and pool. The only minor mishap that occurred was a visitor that had made his home next to the dinning tables scurrying to and fro from his dug out. Engineering was immediately alerted by our server. We started with the very tasty tomato fondue which comes in an iron skillet with bread on the side that can easily serve 4 people but was so tasty that the 2 of us had no problem polishing it off. If you prefer, the goat cheese can be brought separately in case not everyone can/should enjoy it, and the wait staff is fine with bringing extra bread slices to finish it if needed. My main course was a skirt steak which was good but not unforgettable, I'm not sure how much incremental unique flavor comes from the imported Spanish oven they're very proud of here. She had the crabcake, initially listed as an appetizer but large enough for a main course, jumbo lump, and as tasty as the good ones in Maryland. The Yukon gold mashed potatoes are also served in an iron skillet, not super unique in taste. Dessert was perhaps the best, a basket of powdered sugar-coated beignets with chocolate and passion fruit dipping sauces to alternate between, and came with spoons but you might as well just dip directly in the sauce jars. This is a really great bar. After spending some time at the spa, we ventured out to find a cocktail. We preferred to sit outside vs. the inside bar. This bar was exactly what we were looking for. Pros: Service was friendly. Food was fresh and delicious. We tried one of their white wines and a glass of the brut champagne. Both were really tasty and perfect post spa.They have a great selection of wines and cocktails to choose from. They also have tv's outside which we enjoyed watching the US Open on. Lastly, it is a pretty view of the pool and ocean if you sit on the right side of the bar. Cons: A bit pricier than one would hope but to be expected at the Ritz Carlton. Tips: They have bottomless seafood on Friday's! So much fun. We share several platters of shrimp, oysters, crab, and ceviche. All of which were truly fantastic. My one helpful tip is that you can order whichever ones you want. Just be aware this place is inside the Ritz Carlton and you have to pay for parking. They will stamp your ticket for a reduced rate once you eat at the restaurant. Just visited Lightkeepers last night for an event and it was amazing. The service is impeccable, the food delicious, and the restaurant is beautiful. Loved the view of the lit-up pool! Inside is a simple restaurant with elegant flare, and a large bar that reminded me of a boat haha. My friend used to bartend here but recently moved and I hadn't gotten to visit her, but always saw how nice everything looked. I'm glad I got to experience it now, though. I cannot comment on pricing because we didn't pay for anything; however, it is the Ritz Carlton so I would imagine it'd be pricey. It has inside and outside sitting and also a large bar perfect for happy hour. I visited this restaurant for their opening and one more event. Although, I had the opportunity the try their food in both ocations, This is the 1st time I went as a customer with a group of friends for brunch. They accommodated us very quickly and event though we couldn't get a table outside ( I highly recommend to make a reservation if that is what you want ) they gave is a nice table inside with a great view. I gotta say the Keeper's wife's biscuits is a must ! The order cost $6 and brings 4 which was enough to get a little taste of heaven for all of us. After my initial experience during the Yelp's Key to Summer event at Lightkeepers, I was impressed and wanted to come back to try their brunch. Our server Louisa was very kind and personable and took great care of us. We started off with the Pork Belly Chicharon and the Lamb & Chorizo Empanada appetizers which were good, but this time the star was the Empanadas. For our main Brunch entree I tried the chicken and waffles which tasted good but not the best I've had. The breeze was absolutely delightful and we had perfect weather to sit outside and enjoy a scenic Miami brunch day under the shade.
