There were some hits and misses at this little coffee spot. 1. Located inside of the community center, a local had to point me in the right direction. 2. Located next to a community pool. Fine when I worked the first couple hours, but became quite loud when the kids started rolling in; at that point I decided it was time to move on. 3. Cappuccino was average. 4. Spinach empanada was good. 5. Tried to customize a cortado with a little flavor, but it didn't turn out. 6. First staff member was friendly. read more

An ABSOLUTE GEM!! I would have NEVER imagined that I would encounter such GREAT food AND service INSIDE A COMMUNITY CENTER!!!! The Corner Coffee & Pantry is located in the Key Biscayne Community Center Lobby. Their menu includes fresh breakfast, lunch & brunch on the weekends. They also offer snacks & smoothies. They have excellent specialty coffee and teas. Definitely one of the best coffees I have had! I was very impressed during my first visit for brunch with friends and their kids. Decided to come back again for lunch during the week with my husband. During my second visit I had the toasted avocado chicken sandwich and my husband had the Bruschetta. Both were delicious, well portioned and very reasonably priced. My husband and I were very impressed with the freshness of the ingredients and the presentation of the food. This cafe is perfect for brunch with the family (it's very kid friendly) or for a coffee break with some friends. It's owned by a local couple (I believe he is Italian). They are both extremely friendly. This is definitely a hidden gem in the key worth checking out. Looking forward to my next visit. Enjoy! read more

Well, a friend who used to live on the Key joined me for my first breakfast at The Corner Coffee and Pantry. I told her I had heard it was great and healthy. It was healthy, but not great. It may have been an off day, because I have read other reviews that were awesome. So I ordered Avocado Toast with a poached egg and American coffee. Coffee was just fine. However, the bread was not toasted so cold along with the avocado so it made the poached egg cold. The whole thing was cold, so not appealing at all. We went and asked for the person (only person) behind the counter to please heat it up, she did but, to be honest, it still was not great. I will give it a try again and hoping it is a one off. read more

If i could give this place a 0 stars i would !!! FALSE ADVERTISING!!! I ordered and açaí bowl and when i received it #1 it was watery and #2 the description says it comes with fruits,granola, almonds, coconut flakes etc. this "restaurant" had the audacity to only give me the açaí which was NASTY and nothing else. No fruits or anything stated in their description. This place is a scam charging you $8 for a water "yogurt" DO NOT RECOMMEND !!!! read more

The barista here was super friendly and gave us a rundown of the roast of the day- a delicious Ethiopian / Colombian. She also gave my friends & I some tips for what to do in the area since we were traveling. The coffee was magnificent; I wasn't expecting the flavor considering it was a small little shop inside the community center in Key Biscayne. There are also a couple tables to sit and they serve breakfast and lunch food as well. I think this is a great spot to swing by if you're traveling or live nearby! read more

A very rude girl welcomes you, did not crack a smile not even by mistake. She has no idea what she is selling you, no menu is available. She won't give you spoons or knifes or napkins unless you ask. She spilled cappuccino all over, luckily the machine is good. It took forever to make 3 orange juices that still tasted warm despite 4-5 ice cubes. Good for you and good tasting .... believe it or not it's both! Even better - friendly staff! Yes, all true. Hard to believe these days... especially in South Florida. A bit concerned with letting others in on this wonderful little spot. But the service and taste definitely earned some type of recognition! Try the Avocado Smash or Chai tea latte - both excellent. But hands down the waffles with fruit on top were such a delightful treat! Warm and fresh. Batter just made and well- made! Attracted by high scores but the reality is quite different.. we were served by a single girl very unfriendly... we asked if they had a list but they had no customer.. after asking what type of fruit was on display in the plastic glasses she didn't even know what fruit it was... orange juice was served warm with some ice but in a small glass despite being the "big juice" .. the bar is nice but very small with limited seats and very expensive .. 40$ for few pieces... Great spot to grab a bite after a nice Key Biscayne bike ride. We have stopped here a few times for brunch and have tried the Smashed Avo toast and the French toast. Both were delicious. Coffee is a must and it was also great. The place is small - located inside the community center but you can easily grab a spot to sit inside or outside by the pool. The staff were all very friendly and the food was made to order. We really enjoyed brunch here and will definitely keep coming back after our weekend bike rides. read more
