Go for the view, not for the food. We stayed at Mr. C for the weekend and dined at Bellini, several times as it is conveniently located on the fifth floor of the hotel. The views are beautiful, overlooking Coconut Grove and the Bay in the distance. The staff is friendly and the service is impeccable. The food is lacking. We went for dinner and for several breakfast meals. At dinner, the highlight was the zucchini flower appetizer and pistachio gelato dessert. The pasta we ordered was not cooked well, bland sauce, and underwhelming. The smallish branzino entree came with asparagus and was nice, but nothing to write home about. Breakfast served up a nice cup of cappuccino and fresh squeezed orange juice, but the eggs and other dishes do not justify the exorbitant prices plus the 20% to 22% service and taxes applied to the cost of an overinflated plate of eggs. Even with a room credit of $90 for breakfast for two, you will likely exceed that with just 2 plates of eggs, 2 cups of cappuccino and juice. The restaurant itself is elegant. Indoor and outdoor dining options available. Take advantage of the view. The bar has warm lighting and is lovely for happy hour. The staff is professional and wonderful. The menu needs work. My friend booked this spot for Miami Spice Dinner on a Saturday. It is at the Mr C hotel. I had always passed here and was intrigued. As you walk into the hotel it smells funny. Most hotels in Miami are known for their wonderful classy smell. You go to the top floor. As you walk in, the place gives an older crowd vibe. It is nautical. The view is nice I'll say that. The appetizer, FRIED MOZZARELLA IN "CARROZZA, was not good at all. The SPAGHETTI ALLE VONGOLE was even worse. My friends lasagna looked off. The only thing that tasted decent was the tiramisu. The service was attentive . Overall the only thing I would recommend would be the dessert . A mocktail was $15. I would not come back here again. I do not recommend the Miami Spice . read more

Came in twice to dine at Bellini and both visits were superb. For breakfast I dined on the outside Terrance, enjoying the view and warm weather. The fresh orange juice was absolutely delicious as was the BLT. Came for dinner the night before and tried several dishes with friends and everything was fantastic, specifically the scallops, lamb chops, and truffle pasta. Bellini is located at the rooftop of the Mr C Miami hotel. It is an Italian restaurant that is yacht-inspired, giving vibes of the Amalfi coast. Beautiful views with indoor and outdoor seating. We had both breakfast and lunch, which were both winners. The refreshing freshly-squeezed orange juice and cappuccino paired well with my morning frittata! We ordered from the special lunch menu. They gave bread variety for the table to start with before lunch. The prosciutto sandwich with side salad were well made and not too heavy. Both the pistachio dessert my wife ordered and the tiramisu were very tasty, especially the tiramisu! Service was great! The Bellini drink (peach drink with sparkling white wine) was great too! Calling the food here mediocre would be a generous statement. This feels like the biggest bait and switch job of restaurants that I've experienced in several years. Meaning they put off this exclusive / upscale vibe but when you get there they're using this hideous ultra thin linen tablecloths that are all wrinkled and don't even lay flat. I should've known by that. The food was awful. My mozzarella triangles were all cold. The cheese didn't pull as I bit into it and the breading on the outside was just warm. It didn't taste good at all. I forced myself to eat 2.5 of the 4 then stopped. I thought without question they'd remove it from the bill before I got the bill but to my shock it was still on the bill. The cacio e pepe and asparagus were decent. They charged $6 for a glass of unsweetened tea lol. This forced 20% gratuity garbage in Miami is the icing on the cake. I truly hate dining in Miami. The only thing good I'd say about this place is there is a beautiful view of the bay and the servers were all very responsive and friendly. I thought the food was one of the worst of any fine dining place I've been to in ages. read more

Bellini is located on the top floor of Mr C Coconut Grove hotel. The views are indeed quite nice, but overall the restaurant felt overpriced. For dinner, the initial bread bowl was complimentary, but the servers also whipped it away quickly after we finished our entrees without asking if we were still working on it. If you stay at the hotel, their concierge can make a reservation to dine here for you, but we were told they didn't have any availability for the night but we were still able to be seated as walk ins. The cocktails were tasty and very enjoyable, but fairly expensive. We were not particularly hungry, so ordered the dressed lobster and rigatoni ginovese to share between two people. Both dishes were tasty but the portion size for the price sort of negated that ($35 each dish). Plus the bill had 18% gratuity added by default. We also came back for breakfast and had an omelette and frittata - nothing overly special and they were also quite expensive. All in all, service was good and several folks went out of their way to explain the menu to us (appreciated because none of the pastas had descriptions). The food is good, and but nothing I'd write home about, especially for the price point. View is excellent, so perhaps that's the premium you pay for. I'd probably only dine here again if I was staying at the hotel. read more

We visited Bellini for the first time and it was a major disappointment! We ordered the Branzino for two at $150 (a chef's special not listed on the menu) came out as a few salty scraps of fish with two sides barely enough for one person. The portions were shockingly small for the price point. The wine prices were sky‑high, and the cocktails served with one oversized ice cube that if removed would amount to about 3 ounces of a drink than a full pour. On top of that, our party of four was hit with a mandatory 22% service charge/gratuity. This is not fine dining! It's overpriced, underwhelming, and simply not worth the money. Expect to spend around $200 per person for mediocre food and tiny portions. We will not be returning, it's a ripoff off! read more

We came here for our anniversary dinner and from the moment we arrived, the host and the server wished us a happy anniversary and even gave us complimentary champagne to celebrate. We also had some delicious cocktails, I believe I had the Mr. C and it was super refreshing and delicious. For appetizers we ordered the octopus and it was nicely cooked but it lacked flavor, then we ordered the fried mozzarella and it was really delicious, crunchy on the outside, gooey on the inside, just perfect. For dinner we both had pasta, first spaghetti alle vongole (one of my favorite Italian dishes) but here it was very salty, I sent it back because of it but the second one was just the same. We also had a delicious creamy pasta with truffles and that was definitely the winner. For the dessert we ordered Panna Cotta and it was creamy, topped with fresh berries, perfection... We ended the night with their pistachio ice cream, which definitely hit the spot. Our waiter and the entire staff were attentive throughout our visit, providing exceptional service that made us feel like top priority. In my opinion, the food seemed incredibly overpriced for the portion sizes, although it was delicious, it didn't give us that wow factor that we were looking for. Visited for a lunch reservation. It was easy to make a lunch reservation online and the hostess immediately greeted us and provided birthday well wishes that my husband put in the reservation notes. We were quickly seated at a lovely booth table. The service is impeccable. Our server told us specials and provided recommendations on the menu when asked. We arrived at 7 and were immediately seated. The restaurant was quite busy for a Monday night and the service was good. They brought over complimentary bread and breadsticks and had a great wine selection by the glass. We ordered the burrata salad, and Endive Salad With avocado, bosc pear & pecorino start. For entre we ordered the sea bass and the fish special that was cooked in salt and baked. We also ordered a pappardelle Bellini pasta that was cooked deliciously. This place is so blatantly overpriced, it's diabolical. The only thing they have going for them is a view, and even that is basic -- nothing to write home about. Had both a lunch & breakfast there so I can definitely say that most of their ingredients are low quality, and the result is mediocre at best. The real insult comes from the exorbitant prices. I'm happy to paying for quality, but this is definitely not that. They don't inform you of substitution charges (I wanted to sub avocado for cheese on my omelet & it was a $9 charge). The bacon is something you'd find at a 2 star hotel breakfast buffet. We brought a bottle of champagne to breakfast to celebrate my fiancé's birthday & they charged a $75 corkage fee. GTFOH. This gem is located on the fifth floor of Mr. C Hotel and offers everything you would expect from a fine dining, luxury restaurant. The views are fantastic, the service is some of the best, and the food was amazing. To start, every table gets a bread basket, which has a great mix of breads. I love carbs. Lol I ordered the Chilean sea bass and a bowl of minestrone soup. To drink, I ordered a glass of Malbec "El Enemigo" and loved it. My dad ordered the Tagliardi Tartufo -- I tried that and it was fantastic. To be honest, it made me reconsider ordering the sea bass, even though mine was still great. Perhaps the highlight was the pistachio gelato -- the $23 price point might deter one from ordering but rest assured, the portion is VERY large and it's honestly amazing. Perfect for sharing with a large group. All in all, 5/5 and would certainly consider coming back again. read more

I've been going to Bellini for some time now and the bartenders make awesome drinks. It's such a great vibe on the roof of the Mr C Hotel- the view is panoramic and the breeze is always refreshing. There is plenty of staff both Managers and waiters to accommodate every request. The breakfast potatoes are something made of magic- to me that are a signature of the restaurant. All the food is served appropriately hot and alwyays fresh. Eggs Benedict, Greek Yogurt with Fresh Fruit= both excellent. read more

I'm very disappointed with my experience at Bellini Coconut Grove. I went with some friends to enjoy dinner, and one of them was dressed in a linen outfit --shorts and a matching shirt-- with closed shoes, perfectly appropriate and elegant for an evening in Coconut Grove. We were checked in without any issue, ordered drinks at the bar, and after waiting about 20 minutes, an employee came over to ask us to leave because "the restaurant's policy does not allow shorts." I find that completely inconsistent and inappropriate for a restaurant located in a coastal area like Coconut Grove, where linen attire is common, refined, and perfectly fitting for the setting. I could understand if it were casual beachwear, ripped jeans, or flip-flops, but that was not the case. The way the situation was handled was unnecessarily uncomfortable and disappointing. I did not expect that level of rigidity and lack of judgment from a place like Bellini. read more

The best part about this restaurant is the terrace dining view looking out into Coconut Grove. The atmosphere was nice, and our server was patient and very knowledgeable about the menu. He was able to give us various recommendations. For an appetizer, we ordered the grilled vegetable platter which was made up of large pieces of red pepper, grilled onion, endive, eggplant, and asparagus. It was strictly a plate of veggies, so only order this if you love grilled vegetables! For the entree, we ordered two types of pasta. The Tagliolini with shrimp and zucchini was just okay. The shrimp was flavorful, but the pasta itself was very bland. For a high-end Italian restaurant, I was expecting more of a creative flavor in the pasta sauce. We also ordered the classic Cacio y Pepe with Bucatini. It was good with the slightly thicker noodle. Neither of the pasta dishes stood out, but of the two I would recommend the Bucatini Cacio E Pepe. Cocktails: We started with the Mr. C Cocktail which was a fruity blend of vodka, prosecco, mandarin juice, and fresh lemon juice. The cocktail was good- sweet but not overwhelming. In general, however, their cocktails are a bit on the pricey end. After dinner, we ordered espresso martinis which were excellent. Overall, I would recommend Bellini for the nice views, but if you're looking for a delicious Italian meal, there are definitely better places around. read more

Place your napkin across your lap for this review of Bellini. We made reservations for a gfs birthday. I arrived before all the girls so I ordered myself an espresso martini at the bar and it did not disappoint. Not only did I get my martini but the very kind bartenders offered me a sample of an espresso martini how they prefer it to be made and I fell in love with the sample, more so than my own drink. They also offered me olives and sharp part cheese to graze while I wanted for the rest of my party. Finally my gfs arrived and we were escorted to a table in the middle on the restaurant. The girls of course wanted a more comfortable table so the restaurant was kind enough to seat us in a fabulous booth. The view was gorgeous and the vibe was entirely upscale. The girls all loved their drinks (even despite one of them that was overflowing so it spilled a tad and the glass was wet). The bread looked delicious but the butter was cold so it was difficult to smear. We ordered a couple apps and a Vodka pasta. The pasta was delicious I would absolutely order it again. The apps were each good but I highly recommend the grilled cheese appetizer. I give Bellini 5 stars for service; 4 stars for food; and 5 stars for classy ambiance. read more
