    Caprese salad

Well, it's a quaint place with dim lighting. perfect for a date. Although there were few people there, the waitress basically ignored us. No refills on drinks (at least there is water in a bottle on the table). We tried the Caprese Salad ($15!) but the tomatoes were quartered instead of sliced and they were not very ripe. The cheese was excellent - burrata instead of sliced mozzarella. No basil. Very little balsamic. They brought us one piece of bread each, in a basket. Hard. So sad. I must say, my lasagna was very good though and my date liked the fettuccini Alfredo. But no salad or anything comes with it. Another positive thing was that parking was easy along Coral Way. Pay with the parking app. Not sure it was worth $60. I'll give it another try since the lasagna was good.

A good place for lunch, I went today with my best friend and we were both able to share a plate. We didn't plan to stop here but it's always good to try something new. The place is pretty small but overall pretty good

Returned this past Saturday and what can I say, nothing short of spectacular. I hadn't been in a while and the place is newly renovated with a bar and seperate seating "VIP" corner to the left. We sat here. I dont know if it was the great veal risotto, the portobello ecstasy, the wine, music, and great company but it was fantastic. Singer/guitarist Machito set the mood with his music. Thanks to the owner for being so attentive and offering us top notch service, always!

This restaurant is a hole in the wall totally wasn't expecting this restaurant to be so amazing. The food was fresh and not to mention DELICIOUS! The staff was super friendly and helpful they open for breakfast lunch daily and dinner is only Thursday to Sunday I believe . It's very limited seating but definitely worth the wait if you happen to go when they're busy they have a live band on the weekends unfortunately I didn't go on the weekend but will definitely have to come back and experience the live band. We had the arepitas which had pork grinds inside to die for topped with white cheese. We had the Alfredo pasta with shrimp with a fair amount of shrimp and the lasagna which as also a fair serving. We had a salad entree and a glass of wine for 20 dollars per person can't beat that they even take your email to send you their daily lunch menu

Today I had an amazing lunch break not only because of the delicious food but excellent service. Walked in a few minutes before 12 and had the place all to myself for a short period of time. Regardless I can tell the service here is top notch because the owner is most attentive and friendly. I didn't really have a dish in mind like most times and that worked out for the best because the dish I had was a special of the day so let's talk about it.... There were three options including a salmon dish but the chicken stuffed with chorizo and mozzarella got my attention right away. Before this I had the choice of portobello cream or Caesar salad and I opted for the salad with basket of toasted bread. Now as for the main dish, this was so delicious that I had to ask if it was a daily fixed menu but chef said the daily specials were chef inspired even though she could make it for me per request. Anyway this chicken with chorizo and melted mozzarella was to die for. The chicken meat was not tough at all but could be cut with a fork and that says a lot. Now as for the pasta or spaghetti I wish I could tell you what was in it but what I could tell you is that it had depth and was amazing. So good that I could eat a whole plate of the pasta without a protein, yes that good and that's why I devoured this dish, like a savage. Now I did kinda wanted to try the Tiramisu since I'm a big fan of it but they didn't have any and that too worked in my favor...why? Well I got to try the Flan, my goodness....this has got to be one of the best Flans in Miami. I can't even describe it but just make room for dessert and order this, trust. In conclusion, this was one of those unexpectedly amazing lunch spots. Have to come back for other dishes and that Tiramisu.

My boyfriend and I live across the street and decided to walk and check Portobello out for dinner. We were definitely not disappointed. We each had one of their Special of the Day dishes: Salmon Caprese & Fettuccine with shrimp, portobello & truffle oil. Hands down the BEST pasta dishes my boyfriend and I have ever had. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We got lucky and the hostess actually seated us almost right away. The staff is amazing and friendly. Usually on big holidays restaurants in Miami are short staffed and service always suffers. Osteria's energy was warm and beyond welcoming. We ordered the calamari again and it was wonderfully crispy. For our Entrees we had the steak with a side of asparagus and pappardelle ossobuco. Steak was perfectly seasoned. The veal pasta sauce was out of this world. Honestly I think stopping by Osteria might be our Christmas Eve tradition from now on. I couldn't have had a better Christmas Eve with my family.

An opulent failed attempt at fine dining…read more At first glance, the place is impressive -- beautiful cars outside, constant traffic of guests walking in, crisp white tablecloths setting the stage for what appears to be a refined dining experience. Unfortunately, the illusion fades rather quickly. The first sign of trouble arrives with the server sporting a rather impressive lip piercing, followed closely by a colleague whose diamond nose stud could probably be seen from space. Not exactly the ambiance one expects when aiming for "elegant." Despite the abundance of servers floating around the dining room, none seem to notice when your knife dramatically dives off the table and lands on the floor -- where it enjoys a long, lonely stay. Water service is also quite innovative: they simply leave the entire bottle at the table, which seems less about generosity and more about avoiding the inconvenience of returning to refill your glass. The food? Sadly just as uninspired. From the octopus to the $68 Milanese, every dish managed the impressive feat of being completely flavorless. The Milanese arrived with a beautiful crust, which raised hopes... until you realized there was no sauce, no garnish, and nothing to rescue what turned out to be a remarkably bland plate. Meanwhile, the staff appears deeply committed to minimizing effort -- though not shy about judging you directly when the tip doesn't meet their expectations. All in all, this place feels like fine dining in costume. Perhaps a return to the basics of hospitality and service would be a good start... followed by a serious conversation with whoever is currently in the kitchen. Good luck to anyone brave enough to give it a try.

We ordered the Valentina and King Bee cocktails to start and they came out delicious! Highly recommend. For entrees we ordered the fettuccine bolognese and the short rib tortellini. We joined the clean plate club with both of these dishes and didn't leave a crumb. For desert we had the espresso martinis tiramisu and once again cleaned the plate. Safe to say the dishwashers were fans of us. The service was impeccable. Food and drinks came out quick, waters were refilled promptly, and our server Alessandro made sure we were taken care of. This is a great date night spot and I would definitely put this place on your radar when in the Brickell area.

We tried the veal meatballs and fried calamari with artichoke. The veal meatballs did not hold together and were mushy. There were two tiny meatballs for $12. The fried calamari was very good but had more artichoke than calamari. Expected more calamari for the price. We don't mind paying for high quality food but they missed the mark with these dishes. Also, the portions were ridiculously tiny for the price you paid. Not a good value and neither dish was memorable. I'm very sorry that I forgot to take pictures of the dishes. On a positive note the service was top notch. Our bartender was professional and friendly.
