Placed an order through grubhub, when I went to pick it up the guy said that he doesn't work with Grubhub and turned me away. If you are not accepting Grubhub orders you have a responsibility to make sure you aren't showing up on the app in my opinion. Well, it's a quaint place with dim lighting. perfect for a date. Although there were few people there, the waitress basically ignored us. No refills on drinks (at least there is water in a bottle on the table). We tried the Caprese Salad ($15!) but the tomatoes were quartered instead of sliced and they were not very ripe. The cheese was excellent - burrata instead of sliced mozzarella. No basil. Very little balsamic. They brought us one piece of bread each, in a basket. Hard. So sad. I must say, my lasagna was very good though and my date liked the fettuccini Alfredo. But no salad or anything comes with it. Another positive thing was that parking was easy along Coral Way. Pay with the parking app. Not sure it was worth $60. I'll give it another try since the lasagna was good. read more

Ugh, what a blow. This was one of my favorite Italian place, but the porcini risotto tasted too "wheat-y" and the pasta in the lasagna was mushy. Great place for a date night! I've dined here several times now and feel like a review is in order. The restaurant is small and the owner makes you feel at home. At any given time, you'll find about 2-3 other families or couples dining here and he takes the time to chat with everyone as if they are family. The restaurant is clean, decor is modern and if you're looking to buy some artwork, he sells the pieces on the walls. Now, the food. Delicious. For an appetizer, the Arepitas here are amazing and a definite must. They have a perfect crispy outside with flavorful inside. There's also a yelp check in offer for a free order of them - do it! Every time I've dined here we've had the shrimp or the chicken alfredo. The noodles are always cooked perfectly al dente. The Sauce is never too thick or salty, but just right. Other dishes that we've ordered have been the oxtail, pork chops and filet mignon. Every dish has been 5 stars. The only downside is that the portions are pretty small, but honestly it's just enough food for one serving, just don't expect to take home any leftovers. read more

This restaurant is a hole in the wall totally wasn't expecting this restaurant to be so amazing. The food was fresh and not to mention DELICIOUS! The staff was super friendly and helpful they open for breakfast lunch daily and dinner is only Thursday to Sunday I believe . It's very limited seating but definitely worth the wait if you happen to go when they're busy they have a live band on the weekends unfortunately I didn't go on the weekend but will definitely have to come back and experience the live band. We had the arepitas which had pork grinds inside to die for topped with white cheese. We had the Alfredo pasta with shrimp with a fair amount of shrimp and the lasagna which as also a fair serving. Today I had an amazing lunch break not only because of the delicious food but excellent service. Walked in a few minutes before 12 and had the place all to myself for a short period of time. Regardless I can tell the service here is top notch because the owner is most attentive and friendly. I didn't really have a dish in mind like most times and that worked out for the best because the dish I had was a special of the day so let's talk about it.... There were three options including a salmon dish but the chicken stuffed with chorizo and mozzarella got my attention right away. Before this I had the choice of portobello cream or Caesar salad and I opted for the salad with basket of toasted bread. Now as for the main dish, this was so delicious that I had to ask if it was a daily fixed menu but chef said the daily specials were chef inspired even though she could make it for me per request. Anyway this chicken with chorizo and melted mozzarella was to die for. The chicken meat was not tough at all but could be cut with a fork and that says a lot. Now as for the pasta or spaghetti I wish I could tell you what was in it but what I could tell you is that it had depth and was amazing. So good that I could eat a whole plate of the pasta without a protein, yes that good and that's why I devoured this dish, like a savage. Now I did kinda wanted to try the Tiramisu since I'm a big fan of it but they didn't have any and that too worked in my favor...why? Well I got to try the Flan, my goodness....this has got to be one of the best Flans in Miami. I can't even describe it but just make room for dessert and order this, trust. Went here on a whim because it was close a comedy club I was going to later. The food was good, but the portion size was really small. For example, a friend ordered ravioli which included 6 very thinly filled raviolis - $17. Like the other dishes, the food was good, but overpriced. The real reason this place gets 3 stars instead of 4 was the service. Our orders were messed up in several ways - we received a brand of beer that we didn't order, and the incorrect type of sauce on our pasta, our waters were never filled, and it took forever to get someone's attention for the check. I went last night for a friend's birthday and let me just say - WOW. The restaurant completely blends in with its surroundings. It's easy to miss if you aren't looking out for it! It's tiny and cozy and totally feels like home. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the owner, Vladimir, who not only showed us to our table, but stayed to chat and make some excellent recommendations. The six of us decided to go family style and order an assortment of appetizers and entrees. We got a round of bruschetta, the portobello explosion (a giant mushroom on top of a chunk of mozzarella with some sauce), fried ravioli (cooked PERFECTLY), and another dish with mozzarella, prosciutto, and pesto (I can't remember what it's called). We also ordered two pasta dishes: a penne dish with feta, olives, capers, and spinach, and a spaghetti in creme sauce (I almost wish I hadn't eaten any of the other dishes because I could have just eaten this dish and been totally content!) We finished the night off with three orders of tiramisu, one of which was for the birthday girl. They brought it out during an impromptu round of "happy birthday" sung by the entire restaurant! I believe the owner is the main person that takes care of the tables ensuring that you are ultra satisfied with your meal at all times. We ordered a fantastic bottle of wine for our small group (a Pinot noir). We were given some complimentary bruschetta which I thought was so refreshing and nice from the owner. Their table bread is fresh baked, crunchy, and delicious with their infused olive oil. We ordered some appetizers (arepitas, bacalao frito, and the calamari) and all were great. For dinner each person ordered an entree that were all delicious. The entrees were the lasagna, fettuccine, cod with spaghetti, filet mignon, and their penne GabRieLa. This is a tablecloth restaurant...much nicer than I had expected. In fact, it made me realize how long it had been since I had been to a tablecloth restaurant as I battled my 1 year old son trying to pull it off all during dinner. It was Friday, and as Carlos mentioned, there was a guy playing music. There was also a crowd of people at the bar...which someone told us was only one week old and they were christening it. I think it was a bunch of friends/family of the owners. The food was pretty good...the ambiance was nice. Wood floors, kind of a rustic feel too it, pretty dark with candle light, etc. I wouldn't call it Italian, though. I would say it's more a mix of European foods - Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, etc. My husband had pasta with spanish sausage, which he really liked once he added a little more kick to it. I had the cannelloni (spinach/cheese), which was okay. We started off with the mushroom tapa, but we also added some chili flakes to that. Everything needed just a bit more zip. I'd go back, but probably not with my baby. Although another table brought their girls with them... it's the kind of place that I'd like to enjoy my meal and not worry if my son is going to yank the tablecloth along with all of the plates, glasses, and candles off of the table :) Seems like the kind of place that I'd love to try the dessert, but I didn't get a chance. read more
