Truffle ravioli

Everything here was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend bringing your wine and this is the perfect date spot :)

Spicy rigatoni

We went to a private event here. The space is very cute, and very small. Not sure on a regular night, but for the event, you couldn't hear the person next to you from download. The food was alright. I had seen some Instagram posts and had higher expectations. The staff was friendly. The portion of the chicken parmesan was enormous. For starters we tried the mini pizza bread and salad. The salad was great. We also had the meatballs. These I did enjoy. The chicken parm was good and large, covered in arugula. We also tried the spicy rigatoni. It was good but not enough to make me want more. I will say, I am not a fan of tiramisu and I LOVED theirs. I think because it was more of a cake. It was the best part of the meal.

The chicken Cesar sandwich that has been all over TikTok was good but it was over $30 and not even that big...... Would not get it again. There are much better sandwiches for much better prices.

Chicken al 400 (very good!)

I really liked this little Italian place. Fairly centrally located across from Dadeland Mall in Miami. VERY IMPORTANT: They do not have a liquor/wine/beer license! *BUT* they have a BYO Wine policy and NO CORKAGE FEE!!! (That's worth the 5th Star right there!) But the food and service is REALLY GOOD! We've gone a couple of times and tried many of their dishes - check out my pics attached. I snapped a shot of the Menu too... take a look. I initially went with my wife for dinner and we loved it. Decided to take the family back to celebrate an event. Everything was delicious! HOT TIP: order the meatballs, as a side to anything! Best meatballs I have ever had! Delicious desserts too. Make sure U check out this gem and bring your own wine (before they start charging for that!). You'll be happy you went!

I have been wanting to come here for a very long time. It is in Dadeland. My friend made a reservation. The place has lots of families and some dates. It is BYOB. At first they bring you olives complimentary. They were good ! I ordered the spicy rigatoni. It was 3/5 it was missing a burst of flavor. It needed more. The pistachio tres leche dessert was made by the family. It gives off a hidden gem. A nice spot if you want to have Italian food in the area. Great service. Decent prices. Stephanie was helping us. I would come back here again.

One of the best Italian places in Miami. Top 3 for sure. The food was all great. The service was good. Truly incredible restaurant.

I really wanted to like this place, but I left disappointed. I ordered the Chicken al 400 "Parmesan," which was not cheap at $33, and the dish just did not deliver. The chicken was pounded thin and it was mostly thick breading with very little actual chicken. Most bites were completely under-seasoned, and then suddenly one bite was so salty it felt like eating a chunk of a Himalayan salt lamp. The sauce had a strong mezcal-like flavor that completely overpowered the dish. The plate only comes with arugula and shaved Parmesan on top. If you want pasta, it is an extra $16, which feels excessive considering the entrée price. We also tried the spicy rigatoni, and it was unfortunately just mediocre. It was not spicy and it had the same mezcal-tasting sauce as the chicken. Overall, for the price point, I expected much better flavor and quality. Ambiance was nice and they have byob.

I've been to Jholano's so was excited to try Fratelli. We went on a Friday night and was seated immediately. They do have limited seating so I'd recommend a reservation if they offer them. For starters we had the artichoke. They were so good and had a bit of a kick to them. For my entree I ordered the spicy rigatoni. I really enjoyed the dish. I'm pretty sensitive to spice and it had the perfect amount. I also think the portion size was perfect for a pasta dish. For dessert we ordered the tiramisu. It wasn't out of this world. I would probably skip it next time.

Stopped in for a quick bite after a trip to a Dadeland and was so glad I did! I've been to the deli and their sandwiches are amazing so I figured this has to be top notch. We sat inside as there is plenty space and a bar. We started with the artichokes (delicious)! Order some bread on the side and the olive oil juice with the Calabrian spices make for the perfect dipping pair when you're done. The little antipasta with some cheese, olives and cornichons was also a nice touch. For the main I went with the Chicken Al 400 which is their chicken cutlet topped with arugula, Parmesan and a spicy mezcal sauce. It was fantastic. I highly recommend. For dessert we wanted the pistachio tres leches but apparently it's so good they sell out (it's homemade by the owners mother so it must be amazing). I guess I'll have to come back again soon to try this masterpiece and some of their other options. They told us we could bring our own beer or wine without a corking fee...yes please!

Took advantage of their Wednesday night pasta special! They have a few select pastas for $18 but be aware they do not have a liquor license so our waitress suggested we go nearby to a store that sells wine because they have a no uncorking fee. For dinner we started with the Caesar salad, which was delicious and for the entrées we shared the crispy chicken and spicy rigatoni pasta. They have tables inside and outside for dining. The entrée dishes are big enough to share however, I recommend they get some bigger dinner plates in order to accommodate the sharing. Would definitely recommend saving room for dessert and ordering the pistachio Tres leches.

Piccata Linguine with shrimp and ricotta
Suzette C.

We started with the Seasonal Burrata with caramelized onions, prosciutto, & fig drizzle on grilled toasts. I could eat this for my meal! Then I had the linguine puttanesca with ricotta and added shrimp, so good. First friend had the polenta with scallop, mushrooms and capers. Our other friend had the butternut squash ravioli, cinnamon and cream. He said it was more like having dessert. We then had desserts of tiramisu and pistachio moist cake with moose and chopped pistachios topping. They had espresso and I had sparkling water. Overall it was a wonderful new place to try but the pricing was a little ridiculous. Thankfully it was a treat by a wonderful friend and industry person.

Raghuram R.

I got the truffle ravioli, and I loved the underlying highlights of the truffle in each bite. I felt like the ravioli itself could have been cooked a little bit better. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure my dining experience was good from start to finish. The interior was modern and nice.

Good experiences, bad experiences and mediocre ones are par for the course. However, none of my many experiences can compare to what happened at this restaurant. The experience of being scammed. From the owner/Chef'/Host's (I never knew who this guy was)fake Italian accent to the flank steak being sold as short rib to the Publix grated Parmesan cheese the whole evening was exactly that: fake. My "paste fresche" which was the homemade ravioli filled with pumpkin, ricotta and amoretti cookies in a butter sage which had absolutely nothing fresh about it. In fact, it was hard and overcooked maybe put a little too long to warm up (pictures to follow). My friend was so upset about the "short rib " dish she actually told the host/owner/chef about it something she NEVER likes to do. She asked to speak to the chef, but he said he was a chef which surprise me because I didn't know how he can switch from the kitchen to host role so quickly, definitely a superpower. Apparently he did not take the complaint very well because he was visibly upset. He offered to exchange it for something else and it was a couple of weeks ago, so I honestly don't remember what she ordered. I just remember it had risotto in it which tasted like rice pudding. Although I did not like my dish at all I did not want to keep rocking the boat because I wanted to enjoy my evening out with my friend. However, the host/owner/chef never acknowledged the comment. When my friend asked for fresh Parmesan cheese, the Cuban lady who called us Mamita when she bought us both plates and asked me to hand one to my friend said they did not have any fresh Parmesan cheese however the owner/host/chef did bring some out. So I guess they had it after all. We just had to ask the right person. While my friend waited for her dish the the owner/host/chef said he was going to give us a free bottle of wine which we did not really want but went along with again to make the evening pleasant. When my friend's second dish was also mediocre, I began to get upset and it started to really irk me that he kept pouring more and more wine into our glasses not only was he pouring the wine continuously, but he was resting the tip of the bottle onto our glasses, which really annoyed me for some reason I don't know if it was that in combination with his fake Italian accent and his bad attitude, but that was really getting on my nerves. When he kept pouring the wine which I did not want any more of, I gently lifted the bottle that he kept resting onto the side of our glasses and told him that he should not rest the bottle of wine onto the glass. Well, I guess that was about as much as the owner/host/chef could stand from us and he asked us to leave. Shocked, as I have never been asked to leave from any restaurant in all my many years I asked him if he was asking us to leave, to which he replied yes and you don't have to pay. I replied that I didn't mind paying explaining that it was not about that. He didn't want to hear it and he said please leave now. After having drank so much wine, I was feeling a little giddy and for some reason that made me laugh. I think I was in shock. While all this is happening, the restaurant was so packed that some people were waiting in line outside. I don't know if it's just me but is this what Miami has become? 305Fake ? Even in a neighborhood restaurant, not South Beach or Brickell Is this the best we can do? I believe we can do better and deserve better. We work hard for our money and the prices that we are already paying in Miami are outrageous enough, so my recommendation is stay as far away from this place and the host/owner/chef or whoever he is. Save your money and go somewhere else for a real experience...good luck with that!

Pear pasta is always my go to when it's offered on the menu and while I remembered this particular dish being slightly better before, I think it might've worked better with a white sauce instead of the pink they used this time. Overall though, the service was amazing per usual, and the new location feels like the perfect spot to enjoy classic Italian comfort food in a more elevated setting.

Visited with a dinning buddy on December 30th last year. I can't recall if the restaurant is part…read moreof some dining program or if it was because he had a Groupon, or something of the sort. It's a South American version of Italian cuisine. Let's start with how the place looks: on looks alone, it'd be the type of place that had it not been because my friend wanted to go there, I would have walked out immediately upon getting the first glimpse inside. While there's nothing terrible about how the place looks, it screams: we are not a total success and esthetics is not top of mind for us; with odd pieces of equipment, furniture and decor. It looked like a bit of a 90's 'time warp'. The place was small, and it was packed on a Tuesday night - I guess that means something. We had to wait for a table where some poor guy with a backpack was sitting awaiting his carry out pizza. After a few minutes he was 'oddly' relocated to a beat-up pleather armchair-stool (where top layer had peeled off) at the 'bar' (literally a view of the pizza oven) - the 'seat' came from somewhere in the back of the restaurant to make due for the poor guy (it was freezing outside that night) - needless to say, it was an odd scene (seemed like he was being evicted to the bar); and that set the tone for what about to go down for us that night. The table he was in before he was evicted from in order to give it to us (without them changing any of the tableware [glasses, silverware, napkins] that was already laid out on top of it) was what I like to call, a 'divorcee' table. It was a foot away from entrance door, and it was about 2 feet wide and 4 feet long, and it was butted long-side against the glass storefront, so we almost had to shout at each other from 4' away. The server seemed like a friend of the owner or family member, and behaved a bit odd. He advised about a special where we'd get a free bottle of red wine if we ordered two entrees, which was our case; however, given neither of us drinks, much less red wine, I asked if they had white instead, to which he swiftly replied 'no' as in: it is what it is. He asked if we wanted to take the bottle home and we declined since we wouldn't use it. Instead, we asked if we could swap it for free garlic rolls (3 pieces for $2.95), and just as swiftly he shut that down , so we forwent our more costly wine and paid for the garlic rolls - they were average (rate 3 out of 5). There was a dish that I believe was Alfredo with ham - now, that's a first for me in an Italian restaurant. I told my friend, I've never seen ham as a protein for an Alfredo unless they meant pancetta, but no, they meant cubed deli ham. So I opted to change the dish at a premium. Since I'm a fan of a good Alfredo, against my best judgement, I asked for the 'Alfredo' with chicken instead ($24 with chicken here). It was VERY HEAVY as if they had made it largely with oil and heavy cream. Thankfully, the Parmesan cheese and charred chicken helped make it acceptable. However, something was amiss with that dish as it sent me straight to the bathroom upon arriving home - and that extended until the next day, and maybe day after that. It could have been the included small side salad - who knows. My friend ordered the Ravioli Di Portobello at $29 - not an adequate price for this place. My Alfredo should have been more like $20 based on quality and locale state. For dessert, we tried the limoncello cake ($9.95; 4 out of 5) - the waiter read the dessert from memory and recommended that one. It wasn't bad except for the fact that it was drizzled in bitter dark chocolate topping. Not something I'd personally expect on a limoncello cake. When we brought that up to waiter as something he should have warned us about, he's attitude was like: that's how we do it, which it's fine, 'as long as you warn the customer' - it's like asking for tiramisu and finding out that restaurant makes it with nuts - if it's not the norm, and customer is not looking at the menu, common sense should kick in and customer should be warned. Anywho, suffice it to say, this is not a place I'd ever return to. Bouna fortuna for the thrill seekers.

Was immediately struck by how authentic and comfortable the atmosphere was at this classic Italian eatery. The service was absolutely stellar with extremely attentive servers. However, it turned out that the food was somewhat of a disappointment. My wife ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, since there was a statement at the top of their Facebook page that that is their specialty. I decided to try the chicken Parmesan. Both came with a high recommendation of our server. The dinner is both included salad and some delicious garlic rolls. Salad was fresh. The dressing was tasty and not overpowering. The garlic rolls were outstanding. Sadly, that is where the food accolades and. The chicken Parmesan was in a rather soggy and pasty breading and essentially tasteless. The gravy was way too sweet, which also ruined the taste of the homemade, but somewhat overcooked pasta. The cheese was abundant, but again overpowered by the sweetness of the tomato sauce. I really did not enjoy this very much and I am a big fan of chicken Parmesan. The meatballs that my wife had were also lackluster. I tried one at her suggestion and simply did not like the taste. This is very disappointing. After the meal I reread some of the reviews and noticed that the highest praise went to the pizza. As the pizzas came out, I found myself envious of those who had ordered them. They were not just beautiful, but those eating them seem to be genuinely enjoying it. Because I enjoyed the vibe of the restaurant so much I will be returning to try the pizza and hopefully will upgrade this review but the only word that comes to mine right now for the food is meh.
