Chicken served with pasta special

This place was excellent. Service and food was great. Leonardo the manager was very nice. I highly recommend the brusutta, it was one of the best I've ever had. Great spot. Can't wait to go back.

Coppola's is a charming Italian restaurant with a very classy yet relaxing vibe and great food! Food: My partner and I both enjoyed our meals. We had the Mozzarella Fritta which was absolutely delicious! It was perfectly done and surprisingly not greasy like other fried cheese dishes. I had the Coppola allá Routa "experience" where they bring a cheese wheel to your table, mix and serve your pasta from the wheel. However, it wasn't much of an experience because the server did not come close enough to the table or engaged with us at all. So that was disappointing, but thankfully the dish tasted great! My partner had the chicken carbonara which he liked although there was a lot of excess grease for some reason. For desert we had the Mozzafiato which is the house special and it was well worth it! Definitely a dish that should be shared in a group but can be eaten by two people. Service: From entry to exit the service was incredible. Our servers checked in frequently, our food and drinks came quickly, and everyone was welcoming, friendly, and polite.

While the food was good I wouldn't consider this to be authentic. For starters the music wasn't Italian. I get it your in Miami but if you're going to have live music at an Italian Restaurant it really should be Italian music not something Latin (stating Latin because I don't know if it was Cuban/Dominican/Mexican or some other Spanish speaking language etc but it definitely wasn't Italian). While the servers were good to start it got worse the longer we stayed. The severs while helpful didn't really speak enough English to help us understand things that we questioned on the menu. Now again, I get you're in Miami and English is truly the second language but dang it, as a restauranteur the least you good do if hire people that are bi-lingual. I get it you can't be everything to everyone but even in a Spanish speaking dominate place like Miami...English and Spanish should be the minimum. English is considered the International language of communication so meet that obligation. And finally that music...sit close to it at your own risk. The music was/is simply to loud for general table conversations. Maybe that works if you're having a bad date or don't want to talk. Anything short of those two things I'd say don't bother going. Oh btw the wine was good and priced well...had a bottle of Poggio de'Colli...it was a 2018 Toscana Cabernet Franc.

I celebrated a retirement dinner (party of 17) at Coppola and the evening (despite the rain) was perfect. The wine was flowing and every entree was delicious. Every guest raved about the service. I would definitely recommend Coppola. Thank you for a memorable evening.

Wanted to take my dad for an Italian lunch and this place had great reviews! We came in at like 3 pm on a Saturday and it was a very nice and spacious restaurant. All the tables are set up all fancy and what not. The restaurant wasn't busy (maybe 2 other tables) and the service was spot on. The hostess was very nice, explained that they were under new management and were trying to get the word out about the restaurant. Waiters were attentive, watching over making sure we had water always and everything we needed. Before we ordered we were given this delicious soup. I could have had like 4 bowls of it it was really good, not sure what was in it though. Funny enough I told my dad, "what if I was allergic to something in it?" I don't know, it was a nice and I personally loved it but I had no clue what it was lol I ordered the chicken Parmesan and it came with the side of pasta. It was all so delicious!!! The pasta was so flavorful and not like traditional pasta in red sauce, it was lighter. All in all, everything was great. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is the portions. I wish they were bigger -- there were no leftovers!

Calamari and zucchini

Visited on a Monday night for my daughters birthday. The inside is very elegant. I love white tablecloths and sparkling glassware. They have it. I was a bit skeptical about this place because some of the negative reviews were pretty bad. However, I'm here to tell you that I and my party had a wonderful meal. The server was incredible; professional, knowledgeable and on the ball. I ordered the white sangria which other reviewers liked. They were right. It was a nice big glass full of liquid gold. Appetizer of calamari was standard fair but the added zucchini made it tastier (and healthier). My ossobuco with cheesy risotto was perfectly delicious and a HUGE portion. My daughter's short ribs were very tasty and although there was a slight mixup with her risotto they resolved it quickly. Skirt steak was like butter and perfectly seasoned. The chicken piccata was the only dish that I'm glad I didn't get. Although my husband had no complaints, the chicken breast was not thin enough IMO. Desert was a shared creen brûlée which was meh. Oh. And I'm case there is some confusion as I noted some of the reviews, they have a FULL bar. Highly recommend. And will surely return

So cuteee

We got lucky and the hostess actually seated us almost right away. The staff is amazing and friendly. Usually on big holidays restaurants in Miami are short staffed and service always suffers. Osteria's energy was warm and beyond welcoming. We ordered the calamari again and it was wonderfully crispy. For our Entrees we had the steak with a side of asparagus and pappardelle ossobuco. Steak was perfectly seasoned. The veal pasta sauce was out of this world. Honestly I think stopping by Osteria might be our Christmas Eve tradition from now on. I couldn't have had a better Christmas Eve with my family.

Unfortunately, the illusion fades rather quickly. The first sign of trouble arrives with the server sporting a rather impressive lip piercing, followed closely by a colleague whose diamond nose stud could probably be seen from space. Not exactly the ambiance one expects when aiming for "elegant." Despite the abundance of servers floating around the dining room, none seem to notice when your knife dramatically dives off the table and lands on the floor -- where it enjoys a long, lonely stay. Water service is also quite innovative: they simply leave the entire bottle at the table, which seems less about generosity and more about avoiding the inconvenience of returning to refill your glass. The food? Sadly just as uninspired. From the octopus to the $68 Milanese, every dish managed the impressive feat of being completely flavorless. The Milanese arrived with a beautiful crust, which raised hopes... until you realized there was no sauce, no garnish, and nothing to rescue what turned out to be a remarkably bland plate. Meanwhile, the staff appears deeply committed to minimizing effort -- though not shy about judging you directly when the tip doesn't meet their expectations. All in all, this place feels like fine dining in costume. Perhaps a return to the basics of hospitality and service would be a good start... followed by a serious conversation with whoever is currently in the kitchen. Good luck to anyone brave enough to give it a try.

We ordered the Valentina and King Bee cocktails to start and they came out delicious! Highly recommend. For entrees we ordered the fettuccine bolognese and the short rib tortellini. We joined the clean plate club with both of these dishes and didn't leave a crumb. For desert we had the espresso martinis tiramisu and once again cleaned the plate. Safe to say the dishwashers were fans of us. The service was impeccable. Food and drinks came out quick, waters were refilled promptly, and our server Alessandro made sure we were taken care of. This is a great date night spot and I would definitely put this place on your radar when in the Brickell area.

We tried the veal meatballs and fried calamari with artichoke. The veal meatballs did not hold together and were mushy. There were two tiny meatballs for $12. The fried calamari was very good but had more artichoke than calamari. Expected more calamari for the price. We don't mind paying for high quality food but they missed the mark with these dishes. Also, the portions were ridiculously tiny for the price you paid. Not a good value and neither dish was memorable. I'm very sorry that I forgot to take pictures of the dishes. On a positive note the service was top notch. Our bartender was professional and friendly.
