Best lobster Thermidor in Miami
Maggie V.

Secreto moved to South Miami!! So sad they will be further from us, but so worth the drive! We love the new place, its elegant casual, nice walking area and the food will continue to be amazing. Their serve is always great too. Looking forward to enjoying a special meal with my Secreto familia!

Pasta and over all food was great! Great customer service too. It's a nice place to try out

Carpaccio di Manzo (Beef Carpaccio)

This restaurant is truly my best kept secret! The attention to detail in the food and quality of service truly makes this restaurant fine dining. The pasta is always cooked to perfection and their wine selection never disappoints. I have celebrated serval special occasions here like Father's Day, anniversaries and birthdays. Everyone in their staff works together to give you the best experience including the chef, they truly make you feel special. This restaurant gives a romantic and intimate ambiance. Depending on the holiday they tend to have live music, one year on Valentine's Day they had a violinist which was a very nice touch. They also fill up pretty quickly, so I recommend reserving a table in advance. Dishes I have tried: Fig Ravioli: salty meets sweet, my number one choice. Fiochetti: cheesy, sweet and savory. Pear filled pasta with vodka sauce. Carpaccio di Manzo: thinly sliced Filet Mignon with Parmesan, lemon and olive oil Honorable mention: Shrimp Scampi and Mozzarella Capresse are also two great dishes I've had in the past. If you're in Kendall or willing to drive you will not regret trying this restaurant!

Guavayita cocktail

This was wonderful, walking in it's a great ambiance and had mood lighting, straight away the menu was nothing special, I enjoyed the specials the most so I recommend asking. We started off with a pearl martini which is a lychee cocktail, that was delightful. I had the guavayita which is basically a guava margarita, which was also very good. For appetizers we had the lobster croquetas which I definitely recommend getting and the yellow-fish tuna (special) which was fresh and savory. For main I had the filet migon with a champagne risotto which was amazing and a little overcooked but amazing nonetheless, I also tried the rib eye which was limey and super flavorful and I tried the Hallandale fish (specials) with mashed potatoes which were amazing. For dessert I had the guayana pastry with ice cream, the cheesecake and the creme brulee which were all really fantastic. Overall the service was great , and the food was really good. I just wish they expanded their menu more

Came here on a recommendation from a friend . They started us off with delicious fresh bread with an olive oil and balsamic dipping sauce. We then had the burrata with blueberry appetizer special . Not your typical combo but yummy. I had the fettuccine with shrimp in a bread bowl- omg. I ate it all !!! Amazingly delicious. My friends both enjoyed their risotto and fiochetti. The lava cake was ok not great. I was missing the true lava part of the dish. I would go back for sure. The service was impeccable.

Filet Mignon on top of mash and asparagus

Secreto is a hidden gem in a Kendall strip mall. Ambience is a gently lit dining room with white clothed tables surrounded by walls covered in eclectic art. Saturday night was busy, but we had reservations which are recommended. Upon being seated, bread and an olive oil dip was brought to the table along with water with or without bubbles (I love this). The bread was not the best choice for an olive oil dip; a crusty baguette would have taken this review to a 5 star (seriously, bread composition is not to be taken lightly). The real shine to this little gem is the food and service. Appetizer of 5 cheese croquettes on top of a tasty guava sauce was super tiny (just 4 breaded cheese balls the size of half a golf ball), but the flavor explosion was intense. I highly recommend you try these. The corvina and shrimp ceviche appetizer was very good and big enough for 4 to enjoy. Another appetizer that I recommend. For the entrees we selected the branzino and the filet mignon specials. My sautéed brazino with capers in lemon sauce on top of capellini (my request, the special was served with mushroom risotto) was sooo good, I'm thinking this was the best dish I've had in a long time. The fish was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The pasta was incredible: all dente but with crispy edges (what? So awesomely good!). My hubby said his filet mignon was outstanding. The presentation was very pretty, actually; a cute medium Rare filet resting on a little hill of mash and asparagus. For dessert we opted for the crème brûlée (winner!) and the ice cream topped guava pastry ( which was ok but didn't wow). The service was top notch. The servers were professional and on the ball. Water and wine glasses never saw empty. Overall, a great unforgettable meal. I highly recommend.

This particular night we had thought about going to go to the other Italian restaurant on this strip but I called and it had a long wait so my dad suggested Trattoria Luna. I was able to call in for a table easily, and it was ready when we arrived. The ambiance here is upscale, though a bit outdated, which speaks to its older crowd that frequents. The service here is great, and the pastas were really very good, we were surprised how delicious the food was, and the portion sizes were perfect. You can eat it all and feel full without feeling like you over ate. I wish I recalled the wine we ordered, because we really enjoyed that also. Our kids ate their pasta dishes without complaints (also a pleasant surprise!) and wanted dessert. We enjoyed our meals so much that we were excited for the long dessert menu also and ordered 2 to try out and share. We ordered the tiramisu and torta de nonna (can't recall exact name). Unfortunately we did not care for the desserts.. they just lacked flavor and seemed like a waste of calories. That said, I'm okay with that.. I'd prefer my calories in the main course! We'll definitely be adding this to our mental list of places to frequent. Great spot for a family meal.

They have coloring sets for the kids and rotate the pictures every time which keeps them occupied until the food gets there. They do a great kids' spaghetti meatballs and kids' pizza (you can ask to add pepperoni to it). For mains we like the adult spaghetti meatballs, chicken parm, spicy rigatoni, salmon and the pizzas. Generally the food is pretty good and better than most places in this category. We've gotten to know a lot of the staff and they are all so friendly and helpful. I don't understand the reviews about bad service here, we come all the time and only once did we have an issue that the food took a long time due to the kitchen being short staffed.

The atmosphere alone makes you want to slow down, and stay for an extra drink. It had that relaxed but lively energy that makes a dinner feel like the start of a great weekend. We started with the burrata and seasonal vegetables, and it honestly set the tone for the whole meal. The burrata was incredibly creamy without feeling heavy, and the vegetables added just the right freshness and texture. It was simple, balanced, and really highlighted the quality of the ingredients. For mains, we ordered the Prosciutto Pizza and the Roasted Salmon. The pizza had that perfect Italian-style balance: thin, crisp crust, flavorful prosciutto, and just enough richness without overdoing it. The salmon was beautifully cooked, tender, fresh, and packed with flavor while still feeling light enough for a warm Miami evening. Since we went during happy hour, we paired everything with a few ice-cold Peronis, which were incredibly refreshing and fit the vibe perfectly. Sometimes it's the simple pairings that make the experience feel complete. What really stood out beyond the food was how effortless the whole evening felt. Service was attentive and friendly without being intrusive, the pacing of the meal was spot on, and the Terrace ambiance during sunset made it feel a little special without trying too hard. Overall, a consistently great dining experience with quality food, great service, and one of the best settings for a relaxed summer dinner. Definitely a spot we'll keep coming back to.

I have been fortunate enough to have lived in several different…read morecountries and traveled to many others and dining out and eating well has always been one of my favorite things to do wherever I go. Good experiences, bad experiences and mediocre ones are par for the course. However, none of my many experiences can compare to what happened at this restaurant. The experience of being scammed. From the owner/Chef'/Host's (I never knew who this guy was)fake Italian accent to the flank steak being sold as short rib to the Publix grated Parmesan cheese the whole evening was exactly that: fake. My "paste fresche" which was the homemade ravioli filled with pumpkin, ricotta and amoretti cookies in a butter sage which had absolutely nothing fresh about it. In fact, it was hard and overcooked maybe put a little too long to warm up (pictures to follow). My friend was so upset about the "short rib " dish she actually told the host/owner/chef about it something she NEVER likes to do. She asked to speak to the chef, but he said he was a chef which surprise me because I didn't know how he can switch from the kitchen to host role so quickly, definitely a superpower. Apparently he did not take the complaint very well because he was visibly upset. He offered to exchange it for something else and it was a couple of weeks ago, so I honestly don't remember what she ordered. I just remember it had risotto in it which tasted like rice pudding. Although I did not like my dish at all I did not want to keep rocking the boat because I wanted to enjoy my evening out with my friend. However, the host/owner/chef never acknowledged the comment. When my friend asked for fresh Parmesan cheese, the Cuban lady who called us Mamita when she bought us both plates and asked me to hand one to my friend said they did not have any fresh Parmesan cheese however the owner/host/chef did bring some out. So I guess they had it after all. We just had to ask the right person. While my friend waited for her dish the the owner/host/chef said he was going to give us a free bottle of wine which we did not really want but went along with again to make the evening pleasant. When my friend's second dish was also mediocre, I began to get upset and it started to really irk me that he kept pouring more and more wine into our glasses not only was he pouring the wine continuously, but he was resting the tip of the bottle onto our glasses, which really annoyed me for some reason I don't know if it was that in combination with his fake Italian accent and his bad attitude, but that was really getting on my nerves. When he kept pouring the wine which I did not want any more of, I gently lifted the bottle that he kept resting onto the side of our glasses and told him that he should not rest the bottle of wine onto the glass. Well, I guess that was about as much as the owner/host/chef could stand from us and he asked us to leave. Shocked, as I have never been asked to leave from any restaurant in all my many years I asked him if he was asking us to leave, to which he replied yes and you don't have to pay. I replied that I didn't mind paying explaining that it was not about that. He didn't want to hear it and he said please leave now. After having drank so much wine, I was feeling a little giddy and for some reason that made me laugh. I think I was in shock. While all this is happening, the restaurant was so packed that some people were waiting in line outside. I don't know if it's just me but is this what Miami has become? 305Fake ? Even in a neighborhood restaurant, not South Beach or Brickell Is this the best we can do? I believe we can do better and deserve better. We work hard for our money and the prices that we are already paying in Miami are outrageous enough, so my recommendation is stay as far away from this place and the host/owner/chef or whoever he is. Save your money and go somewhere else for a real experience...good luck with that!
