Great Italian restaurant in a Pinecrest shopping plaza. There is free parking; however, the kit can get busy. We went for an early dinner and we're seated promptly. The pizzas (cheese and hot honey) were delicious. I ordered the salmon with lemon sauce which would have been so delish too - I just wished they would have made it a bit less salty. Why have I never been here? No idea why. But that has been resolved. This place was cute, cozy and transported me exactly as they intended with their internal design to a New York vibe. Service was fast, sweet, friendly and efficient from a lovely young girl called Fiamma. I tried their Grandma's favorite pizza which was delicious. The saltiness of the gorgonzola cheese with the sweetness of the sundried tomatoes was on point. I also had a linguine carbonara which was equally delicious. I have never dined in but I am constantly ordering takeout from this place. Their food is delicious, the portions are great and every thing we have ordered so far has been great. I love that every time the food is hot, and I never order eggplant parmesan to go because it usually doesn't travel well and gets soggy but THEIRS IS BY FAR THE BEST! This place is consistent which I love. I don't care too much for their salads but that's just me but I definitely recommend this place for some yummy Italian. We come here several times a month for years now and the food quality just gets better & better. All the pasta dishes are delicious and they have the best pizza in the area. They tend to make it on the crispy side which I don't like but if you let them know you don't like it well done, they take it out a bit early and it's perfect. My favorite appetizer is the home made focaccia bread drizzled in their home made honey balsamic with prosciutto and burrata. It's to die for! Occasionally they have a special that is filet mignon bits in a creamy pasta. If you see this on the menu you must order it! When I am looking for something healthier I opt for the branzino which is cooked several different ways depending on the special, all equally delicious. I have tried several other neighborhood Italian restaurants and none of them compare to this one. It is always consistently good! Servers are nice too. Ambiance is also very good. read more

Not sure if they have reservations, but I would recommend making one if you have a large group. To start we ordered calamari with zucchini. I think the dish lacked flavor probably could have used some kind of seasoning. The zucchini could have been sliced thinner. We ordered both types of pizzas. The brooklynite Neapolitan it was very good. The ingredients were fresh. We also ordered their NY style pizza half with pepperoni and half with pesto. This pizza was much larger than we expected. I've walked through this place for years and never tried it. Going inside I had no idea it would be as packed as it was... with that, it must be amazing! The service was great. Everybody was super friendly. The place is really cute. I tried the soup of the day which was butternut squash, my favorite. It was so salty. Like overly salty. We also tried heirloom bruschetta. Which also was extremely salty. Good flavor but salt overload. For the main course we tried Da bomb. This actually surprised me because it lacked salt and flavor. If it wasn't for all the meat on there, it would be completely tasteless. We also had a Cortadito, which was great. I definitely had high hopes for this pizza joint and maybe I'll try it again. I'm sad to say ,but this place lacks flavor. It's sad when you order take out and you get home and have to add your own ingredients ti your order to eat it . I ordered a large cheese pizza it was cold and lacked cheese it was also thin .I added garlic, oregano ,salt ,pepper and my own fresh mozzarella. I also ordered chicken parm also added similar ingredients then I bought a cake for something sweet. The chocolate cake was so dry it tasted like it was days old and left out yuck. The Chicken Milanese was one of the best i have have here in Miami. A must order along side with the Angel Hair Pasta ( a perfect marriage). Stopped for a late lunch at Apizza with my mother-in-law. It's a cozy restaurant with outdoor seating in a small shopping center off US1. We were immediately seated inside and offered 2 for 1 / $5 drinks with our lunch and since my MIL does not drink, I turned it down. She ordered a Sprite and since she knows I enjoy a glass of red wine with my meal, she encouraged me to have one so I did :) Their house wine was pretty good. Both of us ordered meat lasagnas which came with 4 garlic rolls and a side-salad for $17 per entree. The only downside is that the side salad was made with lettuce, and I prefer dark greens like arugula or spinach. Thumbs up for the dressing. We both have a sweet tooth, so we shared a connoli ;) The service was good, the food delicious and the prices competitive -- pretty well-rounded if I may say so myself! We had visited the other location on Bird Road and I wasn't sure what the hype was all about but this location impressed us and love the fact they have a somewhat bar top/ pizza bar you can wine and dine at. The wine selection is impressive and decent prices. You can definitely find some bottles to splurge on and the higher end wines they store properly in a temperature controlled wine fridge. The manager was friendly and made sure we had service since we were sitting at the pizza bar and there is not a dedicated server. We had the the special- Bresaola dry cured Beef with Stracciatella cheese- delicious! And then we had a goat cheese-+ fig pizza ( Montague Street) and we added prosciutto . We were going to try the desert but opted out due all the calories we had already taken. And they have a proper Lazazza Coffee machine! The service was fantastic even though they were packed! Late Wednesday evening was on a pizza craving and it's been awhile since been back for picking up pizza -to go pickup. This time I phoned my order in slightly before closing, a Da Bomb and six garlic rolls. Drove over and arrived with no patrons and seeing staff today up and the brick fired oven off/closed. But have no fear as my pizza n garlic rolls promptly came out when I walked up to give my name and pay. Looked like a manager/supervisor brought it out. Phew fast! Took it home, unboxed, and noticed the rolls were kinda on the dry side with freshly grated parmesian n garlic. 3 stars...A little disappointed as I prefer rolls that have EVOO for wetness and taste. So, I went to my cupboard and added my Organic cold pressed EVOO from its glass bottle and added yumminess which boy did it make it 5 stars! Evoo makes a huge difference as it adds wet texture, savory flavors melding with that super delicious grated parmesian cheese. I mopped up around the container smacking my lips (for two days) For real! This also matched the flavorful pizza, Da Bomb is a red sauce pizza that has plentiful amounts of 'stuff' such as dollops of homemade mozzarella along with sausage (spicy italian? there was a kick), crumbled pieces of meatball, and tiny cupped pepperoni that offers unique texture and flavor in each cup! Found in many popular places in NYC, this brought back memories of my NY trip last year! Hey that's why they have "Brooklyn" in their restaurant name right (wink)? Anyway, I also must not forget to mention fresh parmesian cheese and EVOO had blended in there. This was an enjoyable bold pizza with a little kick! I ordered a large extra cheese pizza for pick up from this Pinecrest restaurant. The restaurant itself is very small but quaint. The pickup area is next door in a small room. I am on a quest to find New York type pizza. This pizza was good. It has a thin crust, light sauce (not sweet which I like). It actually tasted like stewed tomato's not just sauce. However; I was disappointed which the amount of cheese. I had ordered extra cheese, but it had actually what I would consider light cheese. However: i did pay for extra cheese.
