I ordered the veal piccata with angel hair pasta, and it was absolutely delicious--the veal was tender, the lemon-caper sauce was perfectly balanced, and the pasta was light and cooked just right. For dessert, the limoncello cheesecake is incredible: creamy, refreshing, and the perfect ending to the meal. We dine here regularly and what always elevates the experience is our waitress, Dayana. She is warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Her recommendations are always spot-on, and she always makes us feel taken care of without ever rushing us. The food was good. The complementary bread with parmesan could be toasted better. The pumpkin cream soup was very good. They finally offer spaghetti pasta in the menu! I've been watching the Sopranos non-stop since April of this year, and on a long binge day all I want is a huge comfort plate of Italian food. Queue my cravings last week for chicken parm. While I have never been to il Bambino, my good friend goes weekly and raves about this solid neighborhood spot. I can see why! My delivery chicken parm was absolutely huge. I was able to make three meals out of this serving for just $25. I opted for a side of spaghetti with red sauce, but was told the power move is to get it with pink sauce. Noted for next time, which there definitely will be since I loved this meal. This spot has been open since 1989, similar to another local landmark (Tropical Chinese and Sushi Ko) in the same plaza. I love to see a plaza with three spots that have been open since I was born, serving food the community continues to love decades later. read more

I stopped here for lunch before my dentist appointment, since it's in the same shopping plaza. Since I wasn't really hungry - and what I was facing a few doors down - I just ordered water, minestrone and their meatball appetizer. My waiter did tempt me into a limoncello for a sweet bite. It's definitely a neighborhood restaurant / family restaurant vibe, with sappy 80s songs (think Air Supply) as the soundtrack. No bells and whistles, but relaxed attentiveness. My waiter came by and checked a couple of times, and accommodated service with the fact that I had to rush out to their neighbor the dentist. The meatballs I enjoyed were tender, juicy and with a generous helping of marinara sauce as well as a sprinkling of basil and powdered mozzarella. My minestrone soup was a light, nicely seasoned broth with a good amount of veggies. Drizzled with a berry compote, the limoncello cake was slightly jiggly and a pleasant sweetness. read more

We've been coming to this place for many years as well as order takeout. It's a hit or miss type place because if you walk in and it's full the service will be terrible. We try to make it before 7pm for dinner. Minestrone soup is always very tasty although I've had my share of cold soups but tonight's was perfect. The salmon with olive oil linguine is usually my order and I feel that it's gotten tasteless this year. My oldest had the chicken parm with penne pink pasta, she loved it! She said it was perfect today just the way she likes it without a gallon of red sauce on the chicken. My husband tried the blackened snapper and it was over seasoned. Just the blackened seasoning over the fish. For dessert my family enjoyed the chocolate cake. Unfortunately I wasn't able to capture pictures of any other food than the soup bc we just dug in as soon as the plates hit our table. We just celebrated my daughter's birthday this past Saturday April the 12th with a luncheon at Il Bambino for 30 people. What a nice and pleasurable experience! From the moment I first considered having it at Il Bambino until the end of the party José was there to guide and help me with all the details. He helped me select three choices to offer as appetizers and as the main entrée based on their most popular dishes, showed me some "party menus" previously prepared in other events to give me some ideas, and made recommendations as to what would be more cost efficient regarding the beverages. In sum, José took care of everything before and during the party and made this an easy and enjoyable celebration for all. Our guests were very pleased with the food, the service and the atmosphere. Food was (mostly) fantastic - service was slow. We absolutely loved the caprese salad. The cheese and tomatoes were extremely fresh. The bread that they brought out as an appetizer was cold and it was very evident they didn't put the bread in the oven so it tasted terrible. I ordered the bolognese which was a HUGE portion for one person and definitely enough for leftovers or to split. The rest of my party ate meatballs and the lasagna which were really good according to everyone. The chocolate cake was very rich but was great. The biggest downfall of the restaurant was the service. It was painfully slow. Although we were seated immediately, it was downhill from there. The waiter kept forgetting to bring water for us, forgot to bring small plates, forgot utensils, forgot about us for long periods of time. We had to keep reminding him to bring us things we had repeatedly asked for. At one point, my dad couldn't even eat his lasagna for at least 10 minutes because the utensils were never brought and he eventually got up and requested them from a different employee. Had the food not been great, I'd be giving this one star. If you decide to come here, pack your patience. read more

Cute, cozy little Italian restaurant. You can tell from the conversation between employees and guests that this restaurant has many regulars (which to me is always a good sign). I went for an early dinner on a random Thursday night and there was a decent crowd inside but not overly crowded. I ordered the veal francese with Alfredo linguini. The bread before the food was delicious! Portions were great and the food was pretty good. The taste is somewhere between fast Italian and authentic Italian, if that makes any sense. Home cooked excellence! This is the best Italian in town. I'll Bambino is one of my favorite Italian restaurants around. The location is small, but it's homey and the servers make you feel like family. This place has an amazing lasagna, the spaghetti and meatballs are out of this world, and the Tiramisu is so creamy and well balanced. I love the food it's excellent. First time here and there was only one server. We were a table of 7. We ordered mozzarella cheese, and it was just Ok, it tasted a little old. My husband ordered a snapper pasta he said it tasted like rubber shoes! I ordered the pear pasta it was horrible and hardly had any sauce. My daughter had the spaghetti and meat sauce with mozzarella cheese. We asked for extra sauce for my dish that was very dry and it took forever!!!!!
