I hadn't been here for a very long time.. but we came yesterday for an early dinner. We ordered a Caesar salad to share to start. The portion was fine, and I liked the dressing, but I didn't like that the dressing came on the side as opposed to being mixed in.. I'm not a fan of paying for a sit down and then feeling like I have to work for my food. We ordered a carafe of the red wine Sangria. It was nothing special.. the only fruit was the little fruit in our glasses, none in the carafe. It was like boozy watered down wine.. I don't recommend it. There is no Children's menu here which is a shame. My kids dont like pizza but they love pasta.. they wouldn't eat any of the pasta options on the menu as it was so I asked for penne with Alfredo sauce that they could share. They did like it, but it wasn't enough food for them. I ordered the Ravioli Lombardía (pear and Gorgonzola) however the waiter came back and advised they were out, so he recommended the Mezze Maniche Bronte (pistachio pasta). The Mezze Maniche Bronte was dry.. it didn't have a sauce to it, it was basically pasta out of the pot with pistachio and stracciatella on top.. so I mixed in the stracciatella so it kindof becomes the sauce (again, working for my food). My mom ordered the papardelle bolognese (and I also ordered one to go for my husband). It looked really good.. but my husband said it was okay at best, which is how I felt about my pasta as well. Since the kids were still hungry we ordered a dessert pizza 'chocolate and strawberries' it said. We were pretty sure they'd forgotten about it because it took a long time. Nutella always tastes good.. but the strawberries were very few small slices and they looked sad, perhaps strawberries that had been frozen and thawed. The Nutella goes all the way to the edge, rather than a pizza with an outer crust that you can grab and pickup from, so again, more working for food because I had to cut it up into bites for the kids despite it being a 'pizza'. The ambiance here is very casual and the service isn't great (there was a shift change during our time there - the first server was good). They have booths which I like, but the vinyl on the seats is cracking so my son was complaining that it was hurting his legs. The space is much larger inside than I had realized (I ate here years ago but in the covered outdoor area). The prices here are very high for what it is. We were not at all impressed. read more

Meeting some friends for lunch and this place didn't disappoint! Food -- All plates were big enough to share and presented beautifully. I had the pasta carbonara. It was incredibly creamy, the bacon was flavorful and the pasta was cooked to perfection...a perfect pasta dish! My other friends ordered from salads to the chicken parmesan and all of it looked as savory as mine. Ambience -- Very welcoming and impeccably clean. It is not a big location but it was ample enough that no-one in my party felt cramped during our stay. They have a semi-private area that accommodated all 16 of us. Service -- The server was knowledgeable of the menu, accommodating to our needs, and made some incredible suggestions of food and drinks based on what are cravings were. This place is absolutely delicious. The Food was amazing and quite reasonably priced. All of the servers were friendly and so efficient! The place has a modern, feel, but the dishes are definitely traditional and authentic. Thursdays they have a ladies night with all the wine you can drink with an entrée and on the 19th of every month you can buy one pizza and for .19 cents a second pizza will be given to a child in need. Can't believe I had never been here! If you're in the mood for Italian food this is a great spot in Pinecrest. The mall's facade is under construction but don't let that dissuade you. The inside is inviting with what appears to be a full service bar at the entrance. There are plenty of tables and some booths towards the back. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Everyone was very happy with their order. Great pizza, penne rósate (pasta with smoked salmon), bruschetta (of course), meatball appetizer with focaccia, traditional lentil soup, and caprese. All was delicious and appeared very fresh. We skipped dessert this time but I'm planning on returning to try their Nutella pizza with some coffee. Yum! read more

We regularly go with our family and the food is always delicious except for yesterday. Both Chicken Parmesans ordered were burnt. The server noticed it but brought it to the table anyway. It took another ten minutes for them to correct them but it wasn't as good as other occasions. The chicken was still overcooked. The lasagna had no complaints but my spaghetti and meatballs was less than perfect. Mostly cold. I don't know what happened yesterday but please address these issues. We enjoy dining here. read more

I ordered two margherita pizzas and a half dozen garlic rolls. The pizza was cheesy, thin crust, and just the right amount of sauce. The sauce was very amazing. It was tangy not sweet and the ratio of sauce to bread to cheese was well balanced. Every slice has a piece of fresh basil. The taste is amazing. The crust is crunchy and soft in the middle. The garlic knots are soft, fresh Parmesan cheese and definitely not oily. They have specials that make ordering from here a no brained. I love this place! We went to dinner for family day (my husband, myself and our toddler). My son is 3 and we like to take him to eat on Sundays. I always look for places that are family friendly. First time having dinner at their Pinecrest location which was just as delicious when I was first introduced to Piolas in Brickell. Our server was fast and friendly. Saw we had a toddler and got the orders back on the double. Nicole has their draft IPA from Lagunitas-one of her favorites. I had a 3 hour run Sunday morning to complete so I stuck to a large bottle of San Pelegrino. The pizza had ham, artichoke and olives on it. The salad had salmon, Brie, tuna, and eggs amongst the arugula. We enjoyed our night out. Definitely would come again. A very kid friendly environment. I liked being seated in the booth. read more

Our personal favorite is the catipury cheese and shredded chicken pizza. Pro tip: ask the servers for raw pizza dough to keep your kids entertained while you wait.
