A general unassuming front gives way to a trip to an Italian spot that oozes decor and vibes that you will find in "Europe's Boot" right here in... America's boot? (Keeping it PG here...) The decor when you walk in feels like you are in another country - soccer and Italian (traditional) decor is all around you. The servers and front of house are always bustling around and making sure you are getting everything you want. You feel taken care of, but not smothered... like in Italy. You see a theme here, right? The pizza is crispy, blistered, but with a doughy bite. Perfection. The sauce is made from quality and top ingredients as is everything that a pie can be topped with here. I got the standard margherita pizza with roasted garlic and put red pepper flakes on it and it has been one of my favorite experiences in the US. There wasn't a misstep anywhere in my experience or taste, everything was tried, true, and dare I say... perfect? What will catch your eyes first is the statue figure of Gabriel, the messenger angel, floating high above from the ceiling looking down on the guests. After that, you will see various items from Italy, colorful wooden tables and chairs, colorful wall decor, branches of lemons hanginf from the walls, Italian dinnerware, and more. The aromas from the kitchen are very pleasing also. They offer a full menu, not just pizza. They have authentic recipes of Neopolitan dishes available also. Our server was Adriane B. She was very pleasant, attentive and helpful with recommendations of the menu. My daughter and I shared amazing dishes of Mussels (Zuppa di Cozze) dipped in a tantalizing sauce and toasted bread, their prized Las Vegas Pizza with delicious toppings, and the wonderful Cotoletta Alla Milanese Di Miale (Pork Chop Milanese with Arugula salad). There's one core memory I have from this place: we asked for hot honey to put on our pizza and they looked at us like we came from another country and honestly, that's the charm. 'O Munaciello is located in the MiMo district, and although parking is not very convenient, the place is worth it. The restaurant has a lovely decoration inspired by Naples's Spanish quarters. I visited 'O Munaciello, a Neapolitan pizza restaurant, for lunch. The place had plenty seating at afternoon. I ordered a calabrese pizza. The sauce and cheese were tasty, but the crust, while well-textured, was slightly burnt underneath, giving it a bitter, burnt flavor that ruined the experience. The daytime atmosphere wasn't welcoming--too quiet, no music, just the hum of sparse chatter. At night, it's different; they play Neapolitan songs that remind me of my dad, who's from Naples, creating a much better vibe. The service was quick but cold, not making me feel particularly welcome. Fantastico. They have a sister restaurant in Florence (italy). The pizza is divine as are a few other of their dishes. You can always get a table...the ambiance is a little wierd and they have the same multicolored chairs as well as the hanging angels (not sure what they are, perhaps a Munaciello? see below) in their Florence restuarant. We decided to stop by on a Sunday for pizza. It was very crowded but we got a table right away. It took a while for the server to come over and once he did, we gave him our order which was the Maradona and the Vesuvio pizzas. We also got a beer and glass of wine. No knock on them - I like having some different experiences. Just want people to know what to expect. Didn't get the try the calzones, but they looked enormous. Desserts are also very good. The most delicious and exquisite Italian pasta I've had in my life is here. The two dishes that I'm presenting were so perfect. That words cannot describe the taste and quality of the food. Including the bread that they served, which was like a piece of cake, flaky, and smelled Fresh even after it went cold. In addition, the pastas can be cold or hot. Perfectly seasoned and the atmosphere is casual and I looked over at the bar which has very high-quality wine just by looking at the labels. It is a must visit for all Italian food lovers. We're regular customers of this restaurant and generally enjoy the food, but tonight we ordered through Uber eats and were so disappointed, that it made me write my first negative Yelp review. We ordered a Marguerita Pizza and a Cresar salad. Each was $20. The pizza was good, as always, but the salad... what a ripoff. It was the dregs of the romaine a tiny container and all of the worst parts of the lettuce. Two cups of salad dressing were not even half full each and the croutons were stale and soggy. So, now that we have the crust (very important for me) sorted out, the ingredients are top notch as well. if you decide to order the truffle pizza, beware it is not fresh black truffles. other than that, it is very good and tasty.
