Cute little take out Empanada spot with VEGAN options! They do not have any seating so be prepared to grab your food and go! Also no restrooms. Bummer since we came here straight after the beach and I needed to use the tearoom but the did allow me to was my hands in their little handwashing sink by the register. They do have parking but the parking lot is narrow and can get busy. read more

Stopped by the empanadas spot and had a solid experience overall. The food was above average--fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The empanadas were well-filled and satisfying, making it a good option when you're craving something quick and tasty. While it didn't completely blow me away, it definitely hit the spot and is worth checking out if you're in the area. I'd come back to try a few more varieties. read more

The Empanada’s - Desserts Near Me - Key Biscayne, Florida

Key Biscayne has yachts, golf carts, and the kind of real estate that makes your checking account cry. But the real luxury? The empanadas. These little half-moon miracles are crispy, golden envelopes of happiness--like someone deep-fried nostalgia and sprinkled it with magic. You bite in, and it's not just food--it's Miami history in pastry form. Beef, chicken, spinach, doesn't matter--they all taste like they were cooked by someone's abuela who knows you're too skinny and need seconds. Forget the overpriced resort brunches; the true five-star dining experience here fits in one hand and drips down your wrist if you're not careful. These empanadas? Brutally honest. They don't try to be "fusion" or "elevated." They just remind you why flaky pastry stuffed with meat is the greatest invention since fire. read more

Everything about this place is great. I went around 7:30pm and so the empanadas were freshly made, which took about 10 minutes but definitely worth the short wait. Cute little store, no indoor seating. Inexpensive and very delicious! All empanadas are labeled so you'll always know what you're eating when you get a variety, no more guessing! Spinach 8/10 Is a creamy blend of spinach, melted cheese, and gently sautéed onions. The texture is spot on: the spinach is soft but not mushy, the cheese rich without being overpowering, and the onions add just the right hint of sweetness. Then there's the boiled egg--pleasantly unexpected! It doesn't make the empanada taste like egg but it definitely adds to the experience. Malbec 10/10 My favorite! Juicy meat empanada made with pieces of beef rather than ground beef. Extremely tender almost like a stew that just melts in your mouth. The pastry soaks up the seasoning and juices of the meat without it being soggy. Spicy beef 8/10 I can't handle too much spicy but I do tend to push my limits. The spicy beef really isn't too spicy but definitely has a kick to it. Nutella and brownie 10/10 If you like chocolate YOU WILL LOVE THESE! They are definitely filling but soooo good! So Chocolatey and gooey, definitely a must get! read more

Let me tell you, if you ever travel to Miami do you yourself a favor and stop by here! The Empanada's have a variety of flavors and fillings. I ordered a beef, chicken, sweet corn, pulled pork, and Oreo. That's right, they have dessert empanadas! I was skeptical about the Oreo flavor but it was surprisingly delicious! They're located in Key Biscane and the store itself doesn't have a seating area, just a heads up. The lady at the front was helpful and helped me pick the flavors. I wish we had a location in the DMV, maybe I can convince them to open one! read more

Great service is a must. But taste in a food product one hopes is of great quality is a must. The Empanada's does Just that. With plenty of choices, cheeses, Malbec beef, chicken, and many others; The Empanada's does not let you down. Highly recommended and not overpriced, the endless choices allow you to have a few now and come back for more a day later. Deserts- well, let's just say they're amazing. My favorite being the Dulce de leche. But the guava and cheese and apple pie were out of this world. Can't go wrong with this place which I found on a whim driving thru Key Biscayne. read more

Love this empanada place!! It has become my go-to. They have such a nice selection of different flavors and what I love about them is that the outside part of the dough tells you which is which. The chicken has "chicken" written on the outside, the caprese has "caprese" written in the outside and so on (I'll attach a picture). The filling to dough ratio is good and I love that I haven't experienced an empty empanada. As for flavors, my favorite is the Malbec beef. It has nice chunks of beef, mushrooms, and sauce inside the empanada. Quite the opposite of a dry empanada I'm sure we've all experienced before. The spicy chicken and ham&cheese is also good, but there are many other flavors worth trying as well. The shop is very cute and the person out front is always nice. read more

Have you ever been to a restaurant and you order so many flavors that you forget which flavor is which? Lol That is not a problem at The Empanada's because all of them are branded with the name on top of the crust. I tried the spicy chicken and the Philly salmon which has salmon, scallions, cream cheese, dill weed, fennel seed, and cherry tomato. Both empanadas were tasty, and I'll definitely have to come back for more. Customer service was friendly. Treat yourself! read more

I absolutely LOVE empanadas but a good and savory one is really hard to find...until now...! Location -- It's inside a small strip of businesses so it can be a bit hard to find. The location is clean and has a good visual appeal. One can see the kitchen with its staffers which is a plus. Jose took my order and he was not only friendly but helpful...truly a delight...! Downfall -- orders need to be done via "to go" since there's nowhere to sit. All the empanadas are packed with their own savory mouth-watering flavors, made with good quality ingredients and are a bit larger and have more filling than its average size counterparts. There's no mistaken what flavor one's getting since the flavor/name is "stamped" on the empanadas to avoid confusion. They're Simply delicious...! Average price about $3.50/$4.00. Empanadas Ordered -- *Ham and Cheese -- The ham was flavorful and hearty; the cheeses, Mozzarella - Provolone - Swiss, complemented the ham with its delicious gooey-ness *Spicy Chicken -- Simply delicious...!!! It reminded me of the chicken empanadas I used to eat from my abuela. The chicken was flavorful and abundant and it was richly spiced (not spicy as the name claims)...worth trying...! *Pepperoni and Cheese -- Just like eating a well-portioned slice of pizza just on an empanada. Rich tasting pepperoni and wonderfully melted mozzarella. *The Knife Cut Beef -- The diced onions and green peppers added a delicious delectable touch and one can taste the flavorful diced beef in every bite. *Nutella & Brownie -- Simply decadent and all sorts of savory and rich deliciousness *Guayaba & Cheese -- A great yumminess take on the pastelito All of these are great to have by themselves and easily shareable by the bunch...definitely worth the drive to Key Biscayne and I can't with for the Coral Gables location to open soon....! Bon appétit...! read more

Came here last minute during most recent trip to Biscayne. We found this place on our road to the state park. This may be the best empanada place we've ever tried. The service was quick; they already had multiple empanadas on display ready to go. The spicy beef empanada was my favorite. The guava cream empanada was delicious ! Highly recommend coming here. read more

This empanada shop is a MUST visit if you want to try real empanas!!! They are freshly made and have a huge variety. Whichever you choose it will be delicious...!! I love the salty ones! Friendly service and they do have an offer buy a certain number of them and get one or two free. It's worth it. Sorry no pictures... they were too yummy! read more

The smallest, cutest empanadas I have ever seen. They had an overwhelming amount of flavor combinations to choose from too. Sweet or savory, there is sure to be at least a few you want to try! Since they are so small, indulging in a few doesn't even make you feel that guilty. Like a bakery, the empanadas in at least 15 different flavors are all displayed in the case. The other brilliant thing thing they do is brand the flavor name right on the empanada! Therefore, if you are like me and go crazy, you will still be able to keep track of which one you are trying from the first to the sixth (don't judge). read more

Review of the food only Flavors - 4.4/5 Textures - 4/5 Presentation - 3.8/5 Value for money - 4/5 $3.95 Would return? Yes Must-try: Chicken empanada I've tried a lot of Argentinian empanadas in Miami and this one was a pleasant surprise. Their flavors are outstanding - I had the chicken and beef, both basic but well executed, with perfect seasoning and balance. It was also juicy without making the empanada fall apart. The empanadas had a nice size and the filling-to-dough ratio was excellent. The dough is very tasty as well, although it lacked crispiness and flakiness - a lot of this has to do with the fact that they bake their empanadas in batches instead of to order. Baking them to order would be a game-changer for them since the dough would be crispy and the fillings would taste even better. I've heard good comments about their sweet empanadas but didn't try them. Maybe next time! read more

The Empanada’s - two empanadas on a napkin - Desserts Near Me - Key Biscayne, Florida

I found out about this place on instagram by way of a debutante who was raving about the their food pics. After I took a look and I decided the next time I was going to go Habana that I would pop in and check it out. Well opportunity struck when I had to meet another debutante at Stephanies Crepes. Once the platonic enjoyment was over I headed over to Key Biscayne to check out The Empanadas. Looking over the menu I already knew what I wanted, spicy chicken, caprese, and onion & cheese, which they had all three. They also had a bunch of dipping sauces to choose from, which I think were $1 each, but there was no way I was leaving this place without chimichurri sauce. I waited until I was driving along the non-lit forested part of long drive to exit Key Biscayne so the surrounding environment could make my empanadas more succulent. The spicy chicken which I was most desirous of was a disappointment, it lacked depth of flavor and was little more than a peppery concoction. The chimichurri sauce didn't help it at all, as the sauce itself was a smorgasbord of non-complementing ingredients. The sauce tasted like one of the mannequin blondes from FOX news made it. The caprese and the onion and cheese were divine, full of flavor and luscious to the taste. Not having a palatable dipping sauce to go with the emapanadas is like being massaged by an attractive woman with calluses on her hands, that's no bueno. read more

Best empanadas I have ever tried in Miami. They are served fresh and hot, the fillings are tasty and the dough is soft and ungreasy. You'll notice when you'll take the empanadas out of the paper bag that it won't leave an oil stain. This is a great place for take out, not to dine in. I am sad to say that I have never tried an empanada before We chose this location because it had far less reviews than GoGoFresh in Miami Beach. We figured that was due to location only. But also because the ingredient list in each one seemed far superior than of GoGos. Not disappointed in the least. The flavors were bold and the pastry was nice. You're able to get accompanying sauces but you really don't need them at all. We tried a huge variety and there wasn't any that I didn't enjoy. The young woman that worked the front desk was extremely helpful in suggestions and just overall friendly. read more
