Dear Key Cleaners, Inc. aka Key Colony Dry Cleaners, What's a girl to do when her favorite pair of pants decides it doesn't want to keep the front button on any longer? Why, one takes it to Key Cleaners of course! The button of my favorite white pants had come off in the dryer the last time I washed them and I was lost without them in my wardrobe. Having heard good things about you, and having had so many mediocre experiences, I decided to give you a chance. I brought in my pants and explained that I needed the button sewn on. Additionally, there were a couple of spots that I just had not managed to remove from the pants, although truth be told, they were barely noticeable. So, I pointed them out, and left the fate of my pants in your hands. I have to say I was very pleased with the quality of the work, although a couple of the spots did not come out. But hey, I guess I kinda knew that was the case, since they were old stains. I will start bringing my laundry here on a regular basis since not only are you located near my office, but you actually have free pick up and delivery! :) Thanks Key Cleaners! I used Key Cleaners one time and this was all I needed. I dropped off an expensive white outfit-slacks and top to be dry cleaned. When I picked it up, it was stained from the press. They refused to pay for the damage and I was too embarrassed to make a scene in the store. The people were very rude. I've never gone back. Beware! read more

STAY AWAY!!! Very Poor Service. WAY Too Expensive. Rude. Unaccommodating... I've been to quite a few dry cleaners in my day, and I must say that this may be the worst. As a business owner I am very understanding of the problems that can arise, and as such i usually give people a pass where others may not, but this place has been so egregious in their disrespect to me that I had to leave this review. 1. MOST RIDICULOUS: Charging $5 for the cleaning of a Publix Recyclable Green Bag- MAde of Plastic. I simply brought my cloths into the cleaners in this bag, and they went ahead and ran it through the cleaners. Charged me for it. THEN REFUSED TO TAKE IT OFF OF MY BILL. This sent me through the roof. They acted like I was trying to pull a stunt-- get a freebie- when i said I didn't want this to be cleaned and i shouldn't have to pay for it. 2. $$$$ Final Bill, Low Advertised Price: As many businesses do, a low list price "example" conceals much higher prices elsewhere (aka a Loss Leader). The basic dress shirt dry cleaning cost was reasonable, but things like suits, coats, pants, t-shirts, and even underwear, are very expensive. So you show up expecting a bill to be $30, and it ends up being $80. I can't remember the exact amount i spent last time, but it was north of $110 for sure. What's frustrating is things that shouldn't be expensive being really pricey. A biz can charge what they want of course, but it just feels really deceptive when things that A. are less costly to clean and B. are far cheaper elsewhere, end up being extremely costly. 3. BAD QUALITY: So I've had to take multiple shirts back to the cleaners when they weren't done properly (still had a bad odor, were wrinkled, stain didn't come out, etc). This happens more than should be expected here, though admittedly some level of this should be expected at any dry cleaner. 4. CLEANER CHOOSES MOST EXPENSIVE METHOD: Some articles can be either laundered or dry cleaned, and theyll always choose the more expensive method. So specify ahead of time if you decide to go there. 5. Workers are just plain RUDE! I just can't believe how unfriendly and unhelpful they are at Key Cleaners. I mean jesus, it's a frickin island community; you burn so many bridges and noones left. But that doesn't seem to matter. Maybe it's just because I'm a young white male that doesn't speak Spanish, but I always feel Disrespected when people finally decide to come to the counter and assist me. 6. Don't Expect any Favors: Again, I run a luxury Retailer and I go the extra mile for my customers, even when there isn't money in it. And I realize that's a privelage being provided, not a right. However, it's just basic common courtesy to help a person out when they have questions relating to your area of expertise. **Case in Point**: I went in about a month ago asking for help with my measurements, as an Indian Wedding I was attending needed some pretty unusual measurements. After practically begging for help, the manager/owner DID take a couple measurements. But then he got fed up and sent me packing. I ended up measuring myself at home, but I felt like a complete loser: the place i continually frequent- even though i never am satisfied- couldn't spend 5 minutes with me after years of ripping me off on dry cleaning. A tough Industry.... Unfortunately dry cleaning is one of those industries that can easily evoke frustration, and that attracts unseemly owners/operators, but even with that said, this place takes the experience to a whole new depth. Key Biscayne has a few places that offer dry cleaning services on the island, and I've yet to find the best solution for me (though i havent tried all of them), but it appears that it's simply a case of few options out here. And unfortunately, when a company doesnt have quality competition, it's possible to treat customer's poorly and remain in business. One GOOD POINT: Key Cleaners is fairly wuick with their service, i'll give them that. I think they actually provide service for some of the other KB launders, as they have facilities on site. And as I'm a procrastinator, I've been in the unenviable position of having no reasonable option but to go to them. But still, I hate doing it, and it is one of my least favorite places to patron. I am shocked at these reviews. I have been using Key Cleaners for twenty years and think they do amazing work. In all those years, I never had a single complaint and I dry clean *a lot*. Far too much, probably. The owner is conscientious and warm, the staff is efficient and they offer free delivery. I also felt the prices were comparable to other cleaners, both on and off-island. Really, in all those years (over 1,000 weekly orders) I could have gone somewhere else. The fact that I didn't should say something. Ignore the other reviews and give them a chance. read more

I have used key cleaners for 18 years and never had a problem until today. I took a once worn $300 blazer in with two stains that were properly removed but when I picked it up there was a large stain which looked like a burn stain. I showed it to the employee and she took it in the back and they tried to remove but shredded my blazer. Owner offered me a $50 credit to spend at his cleaners. Non of this was my fault and I am out a brand new once worn $300 blazer. Will never ever use their services again. Terrible business man. read more

While they are not necessarily the cheapest (nor the most expensive) they have the most efficient processes, the most thorough services and their shirts came out juuuuust right. read more

STAY AWAY!!!! Ditto Matt B's experience. Called on Tues to ask about getting a pair of pants and a sports jacket cleaned or pressed on Friday and was told to bring it in by 10 am and will have it back after5 . When I asked how much the cost would be was told less than 1/2 of what they ultimately charged me. My wife texted me in disbelief to confirm that I only dropped off 2 items when she went in to pick up the cleaning and saw the bill. I asked to speak to the manager when the prices charged were more than double what I was quoted and was rudely told that he isn't working over the holiday weekend. I asked respectfully to see if I could call him to resolve the discrepancy and was told that he doesn't take calls. I then requested that he call me on Tues,and provided my cell # hoping to hear from him when he was back on Tues. Needless to say,,,,crickets. My advise is find another cleaners,,, there's a calculated reason why they don't put their prices on the pick up tickets. Classic gotcha! read more

This dry cleaner has always done an excellent job with my laundry. They are not only professional but extremely honest. My Uncle accidentally left a $100. bill in his pant pocket. He was immediately called by the manager telling him what he had found! I will always recommend them. read more

I took my cashmere throw blanket in to be cleaned. My puppy had chewed several holes unit and I had patched it not knowing how else to fix it. When I picked it up, the patches were removed and the holes were repaired. I am so happy with the repairs done by the cleaner. I didn't even ask them to do it. Thank you Key Cleaner v read more
