Terrible first-time experience - never going back! I've lived in the area for 20 years and decided to try Tysunn for the first time since it's closer to my house. I brought in a jumper for cleaning and asked for the price. The woman at the counter, who was in a bad mood, told me it would be $25--exactly what I usually pay at my regular dry cleaner. Wanting to give them a chance, I left my item. When I went to pick it up, I was shocked to be charged $34 for a single jumper! I have never paid that much for one item. To make matters worse, the prices they have displayed on the board at the entrance are not accurate. This place is overpriced and misleading, and the service was unfriendly. I was contacted by the owner, he explained to me what the confusion was and offered to make things right. There are times that things don't go well but how the business owner handles the situation is very important. He really was very nice and really wanted to make things right so I will return and give them another try. I went to get a couple of pants to have the hem taken, I selected this place because of its high review, boy was I disappointed. I went in and was told it would take two weeks and if I was fine with that I could take a sit. I sat down said hello to who I presume is Huma and waited as she worked on a dress. This man walks in wanting his pants hemmed, she talks to him, he puts on the pants and she proceeds to mark the pants and tells them it will be done in a week. Huma is a lifesaver!!! I was in a bind and needed my bridesmaid dress for my sister's wedding hemmed SAME DAY. I texted Huma in a panic - she told me to come in and she'd make it happen. And make it happen she did! I came in at 1pm and she had the dressed measured on me and hemmed and ready to be picked up within 2 HOURS all for only $40! She even pressed the dress for FREE for me! The dress was hemmed to the perfect length. High-quality stitching. Huma even helped me decide the exact length I wanted the dress as I wasn't sure what length (to the floor vs. almost to the floor) would look best - and she was spot on with her suggestion. I attempted to bring an old wind-breaker that I picked up from a thrift here to get some stains out. From the moment I was greeted (barely) I got the impression they were not interested in serving me. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and continued to inquire anyway about whether or not they could remove the stains and the person behind the counter looked at me and told me he could not "guarantee" it. I said OK, how much is it to try? He said, "do you understand what I said, I can't guarantee it. These stains look very old" I responded, "yes, i understand. It is an old jacket. I am inquiring about the price to try??" He then proceeded to tell me how long it would take and answered every question I asked as if he was annoyed so i ultimately left. I have never had to beg someone to do a service im paying them for. I could understand being hesitant to take on a job that you can't guarantee, but after I expressed I was willing to pay for the attempt, it should've ended there. I swore by this dry cleaners when I lived in the area. They did a great job, and were very reasonably priced. I even got some jeans altered there, and they did a good job with the original hems. The one time I had a problem - a white cardigan came back gray - I told them about it and they fixed it, no questions asked - my white cardigan was like new. They have a circle drive that can be confusing at first - but just pull all the way up so you don't get trapped. read more

No one seems to tell you what you'll be paying for dry cleaning and laundry these days. As well, at Sir Galloway, the staff seems befuddled and their computers never seem to be working. At Tysunn, the prices are on the wall and the pick up and drop off move like clockwork. As well, the cleaning is superb and the pricing is moderate. If you are in the south Gables or South Miami, Tysunn is great value for money. They are getting 4 stars not 5 only because the parking is a little weird. I tried their service after being a loyal customer of Martinizing Signature in the Gables for few years. After Martinizing closed down, I chose Tysunn because of the 4 stars on Yelp. Staff seems very nice and friendly at Tysunn. I dropped 1 long sleeve shirt and 2 polo shirts for dry cleaning and 2 long sleeve shirts for laundry. The 2 polo shirts were poorly ironed, and I am not talking about the regular creases due to folding finish. One of the shirt that went for laundry came out discolored and with a rip in the seam of the cuff. The other shirt that went for laundry was also poorly ironed and with too much starch. The only shirt that was dry cleaned seems OK (so far). Maybe laundry is not their strength.. but then they could have advised dry cleaning for all shirts. Most of the buttons in all the shirts were also scratched. I expect better quality for the price: ~$30 total. No collar stays are provided with the dry cleaning service, which is more than $7 per shirt. A sign in the store clearly states that complaints needs to be made at the time of pick up. Given that it was my first experience with Tysunn I should have done that but inspecting 5 shirts in details in the store around closing time seemed impractical. If you are used to higher standards than this I'd try to go to a different place. read more

this place somehow always comes back to haunt me. between them over-starching clothing (I specify every time no starch!), ironing my pleats down the center of my pants (like I'm pleated khaki-wearing older man) or providing neon laundry bags that stain my clothes...permanently! i've been going here for years, but unfortunately need to find a new dry cleaner. read more
