    Beef Empanada

Let me tell you, if you ever travel to Miami do you yourself a favor and stop by here! The Empanada's have a variety of flavors and fillings. I ordered a beef, chicken, sweet corn, pulled pork, and Oreo. That's right, they have dessert empanadas! I was skeptical about the Oreo flavor but it was surprisingly delicious! They're located in Key Biscane and the store itself doesn't have a seating area, just a heads up. The lady at the front was helpful and helped me pick the flavors. I wish we had a location in the DMV, maybe I can convince them to open one!

Love this empanada place!! It has become my go-to. They have such a nice selection of different flavors and what I love about them is that the outside part of the dough tells you which is which. The chicken has "chicken" written on the outside, the caprese has "caprese" written in the outside and so on (I'll attach a picture). The filling to dough ratio is good and I love that I haven't experienced an empty empanada. As for flavors, my favorite is the Malbec beef. It has nice chunks of beef, mushrooms, and sauce inside the empanada. Quite the opposite of a dry empanada I'm sure we've all experienced before. The spicy chicken and ham&cheese is also good, but there are many other flavors worth trying as well. The shop is very cute and the person out front is always nice.

I absolutely LOVE empanadas but a good and savory one is really hard to find...until now...! Location -- It's inside a small strip of businesses so it can be a bit hard to find. The location is clean and has a good visual appeal. One can see the kitchen with its staffers which is a plus. Jose took my order and he was not only friendly but helpful...truly a delight...! Downfall -- orders need to be done via "to go" since there's nowhere to sit. All the empanadas are packed with their own savory mouth-watering flavors, made with good quality ingredients and are a bit larger and have more filling than its average size counterparts. There's no mistaken what flavor one's getting since the flavor/name is "stamped" on the empanadas to avoid confusion. They're Simply delicious...! Average price about $3.50/$4.00. Empanadas Ordered -- *Ham and Cheese -- The ham was flavorful and hearty; the cheeses, Mozzarella - Provolone - Swiss, complemented the ham with its delicious gooey-ness *Spicy Chicken -- Simply delicious...!!! It reminded me of the chicken empanadas I used to eat from my abuela. The chicken was flavorful and abundant and it was richly spiced (not spicy as the name claims)...worth trying...! *Pepperoni and Cheese -- Just like eating a well-portioned slice of pizza just on an empanada. Rich tasting pepperoni and wonderfully melted mozzarella. *The Knife Cut Beef -- The diced onions and green peppers added a delicious delectable touch and one can taste the flavorful diced beef in every bite. *Nutella & Brownie -- Simply decadent and all sorts of savory and rich deliciousness *Guayaba & Cheese -- A great yumminess take on the pastelito All of these are great to have by themselves and easily shareable by the bunch...definitely worth the drive to Key Biscayne and I can't with for the Coral Gables location to open soon....! Bon appétit...!

Came here last minute during most recent trip to Biscayne. We found this place on our road to the state park. This may be the best empanada place we've ever tried. The service was quick; they already had multiple empanadas on display ready to go. The spicy beef empanada was my favorite. The guava cream empanada was delicious ! Highly recommend coming here.

This place has an amazing selection of empanadas. We ordered some savory ones that sounded good. For the most part, the empanadas were on the saltier side so it was hard to enjoy fully, but the diversity of empanadas was impressive!

The smallest, cutest empanadas I have ever seen. They had an overwhelming amount of flavor combinations to choose from too. Sweet or savory, there is sure to be at least a few you want to try! Since they are so small, indulging in a few doesn't even make you feel that guilty. Like a bakery, the empanadas in at least 15 different flavors are all displayed in the case. The other brilliant thing thing they do is brand the flavor name right on the empanada! Therefore, if you are like me and go crazy, you will still be able to keep track of which one you are trying from the first to the sixth (don't judge).

The empanada were very good! We tried the chicken, beef, 4 cheeses, and barbecue pork with mango. The empanada was a little salted. The service was okay. The price was about 4 dollars per empanada.

Friendly staff. Some of the best empanadas I've ever had. I had the spicy beef and spicy chicken empanada. They were stuffed with meat! You definitely get your money's worth. Clean shop, with tables to sit and enjoy just outside of the shop.

I found out about this place on instagram by way of a debutante who was raving about the their food pics. After I took a look and I decided the next time I was going to go Habana that I would pop in and check it out. Well opportunity struck when I had to meet another debutante at Stephanies Crepes. Once the platonic enjoyment was over I headed over to Key Biscayne to check out The Empanadas. Looking over the menu I already knew what I wanted, spicy chicken, caprese, and onion & cheese, which they had all three. They also had a bunch of dipping sauces to choose from, which I think were $1 each, but there was no way I was leaving this place without chimichurri sauce. I waited until I was driving along the non-lit forested part of long drive to exit Key Biscayne so the surrounding environment could make my empanadas more succulent. The spicy chicken which I was most desirous of was a disappointment, it lacked depth of flavor and was little more than a peppery concoction. The chimichurri sauce didn't help it at all, as the sauce itself was a smorgasbord of non-complementing ingredients. The sauce tasted like one of the mannequin blondes from FOX news made it. The caprese and the onion and cheese were divine, full of flavor and luscious to the taste. Not having a palatable dipping sauce to go with the emapanadas is like being massaged by an attractive woman with calluses on her hands, that's no bueno.

Food was okay. Person who took my order could care less. Nice place. Anything vegetarian/vegan on the menu takes 10 minutes.

The staff was attentive without being overbearing, genuinely friendly, and very knowledgeable about the menu. You can tell they take pride in what they're serving. I ordered a steak and the temperature was cooked perfectly -- exactly as requested. That's something a lot of places miss, but they nailed it. The sear, the tenderness, everything was spot on. The quality of the food really stands out. You can taste that they're using premium ingredients, and everything feels thoughtfully prepared rather than rushed. Pricing felt fair for the level of quality and atmosphere. You're getting a high-end experience without feeling like you overpaid. And I have to mention the chimichurri -- easily one of the best I've had. Fresh, balanced, and packed with flavor. It elevated the steak even more. Overall, Narbona is a great spot whether you're a local or just visiting Key Biscayne.

Also, when we arrived here most all the outdoor tables for the surrounding restaurants were full, while the tables at Craft were empty for the most part. This Craft location isn't large - the interior of the restaurant is especially small with just a walk-up counter and a few smaller tables. Most of their seating is on the patio area in front of the entrance, and they were happy to move a few tables together to accommodate our group of 6. We each ordered a cocktail to start, which were well-made, and then we ordered our main courses. Those who got pizzas said they were really good. I had the milanesa caprese and it was also good, though the caesar salad I ordered for my side had large chunks of both tomato and bacon, and the white dressing definitely wasn't caeser and was relatively flavorless. While I'd give our overall experience on that night 4 stars and I'd note that service was attentive throughout our time here, there are other restaurants I'd likely patronize both in this plaza and the few adjacent ones before I'd consider returning to Craft for dinner. That said, I'd definitely come here as a solid spot for breakfast or a quick lunch.

We usually hit a few brunch buffets per year on average; In my opinion, the offering at Lightkeepers is simply not worth the cost vs. brunch experiences we've had at other Miami area restaurants. We arrived and were seated right away on the outdoor patio and this area was dog friendly with a few patrons there with their furry companions. The server was friendly and outgoing throughout our time here and asked if we were interested in brunch. She listed off the usual, standard brunch drink options, but there was nothing terribly unique or creative about any of them. The one interesting thing is that they had carafes and dispensers of most of the brunch drinks at the end of the buffet line, so I guess if your server wasn't bringing them fast enough, you could go and get your own. One nearby table paid their tab and cashed out following their meal, but continued going back to those dispensers to serve themselves additional beverages before leaving. The buffet itself was solid, featuring most of the usual American-fare items one might expect and the amount of options and presentation was good, but really wasn't anything highly impressive or noteworthy, especially considering the pricepoint - which was $373 with included service charge and tax for 2 people. For brunch, I think I prefer the following: Prime Fish - Nearly the same unlimited food and beverage selections as Lightkeepers in a beautiful setting, but about 1/2 the price. Quinto in Brickell - Cheaper, also unlimited food and drink (though not buffet-style), with many more unique and creative bottomless drinks available vs. Lightkeepers. LaMar - Costs nearly as much as Lightkeepers, but more creative food options, incredible presentation, many more creative drinks vs. Lightkeepers and one can also request nearly anything they wish from the bar for the 2 hour bottomless time period.
