I strayed from my usual Ziba visit. I did not have to wait, a pleasant woman did my upper lip threading. This took longer than my Ziba visit as she was more detail oriented. Tears came to my eyes and she dabbed them with a Kleenex. It was a job well done. I asked the woman at the front desk about the incentive card. She looked confused, I explained it was a punch card. I had read about it in some of the reviews here. She said they just finished that, that was no big deal to me. Price was $1 higher than listed in some the previous reviews but yes, there is such a thing as inflation. I'm fine with the price. I used to really love this place, but over time I realized they were getting sloppy and the service wasn't all that great. This place doesn't really scream of customer service in cheeryness or conversations, it's very much so a factory like setting - you come in sign your name, 4 minutes later it's your turn, they finish and you pay the guy who says only 4 things to you: how much, here is your change, thank you good bye all with a blank stare. I first got into threading and fell in love with it, but then the pain really got to me and I was told it'd go away with time. i'd cry each time I got my brows threaded and things didn't get better, when i would cry the lady doing my eyebrows here would LAUGH and giggle at me and continue on with her work instead of giving me a few minutes to compose myself. Then when they finish - they just throw some astringent on you and you're off. I noticed that they don't really "shape" eyebrows well here, they do a good job of cleaning it up, if you're looking for a true shaping and one with style that fits your face, you might not find it here. I've asked them to shape my eyebrows and eventually it just didn't look good or fit my face. Also - sometimes if they notice say your chin is hairy or you have side facial hair, a very small amount or fine or light - they'll try to convince you to get it done - knowing that these areas need to be maintained if not when the hair grows back it'll grow back thicker. AHA - trying to get more business from you because now it's become a necessity to thread those spots of your face that weren't really a problem before. I've converted to waxing at another salon and I prefer it much more. yes, I know there are problems with waxing, but I can't deal with the way my eyebrows look post threading here. $6 (with coupon) for GREAT eyebrow threading! It doesn't get better than this, ladies! I went today and I left completely satisfied with how they threaded my eyebrows. I didn't print out the coupon, so I thought they wouldn't give me the $2 off, but I showed the lady the Yelp ad on my phone and she let me off the hook. This was my first time EVER getting my eyebrows done and so naturally, I was a bit scared, but the end result was perfect. It was clean and nicely shaped, just like I wanted. I loved the feeling of the thread picking out my eyebrow hairs so much that I actually wished that I had more hair so that they could thread more. I've heard from other people that it can be painful, so hopefully you aren't too sensitive in that area. But yeah, other than that, they also offer a bunch of other beauty services along with threading like waxing and facials. Meh. Came by here with the yelp coupon (TAKE THIS: it's $2 bucks off!) hoping to try another branch of Nanu. The cerritos one wasn't bad.. and i will admit that it is a lot cheaper than Ziba (totally overrated now).. but I can't say I enjoyed the service all that much. I think I had the newb. Cuz she was watching tv by the door when I came in. It wasn't that busy and the brow/lip/chin combo cost about 17 - tipped 3 (20 total). Usually what I rate a threading place on is : (a) they actually remove all the hair, (b) shape the brows properly, and (c) don't keep breaking the string and jabbing me in the eye. They were a C in all three categories. I don't really have much hair.. I'm a pretty hairless asian.. just that the little hair that does grow in.. can make me look more angry than i actually am trying to express. She broke the string countless of times.. proceeding to jab my eyeball like it was not there.. and ultimately did an average job cleaning up. The cost is still not that cheap (at least compared to back in the day or the one salon I adore in south oc -- closer to laguna niguel and too far to drive on a weekday).. but hey.. shrugs.. it wasn't bad.. and i at least left with some expression of eyebrows at the end. wouldn't return. probably wouldn't recommend. i think i would actually pay to go to ziba.. with hopes of keeping my eyeballs. read more

Tika does wonders to your head with her fingers!! It was my second time getting my eyebrows threaded for my sister's wedding .. I knew what it felt like so it wasn't really anything new. However, the part where she makes you hold down your eyelid for like 30 seconds did bring tears to my eyes. Once that part was over, the rest was actually quite relaxing. I wanted to almost sleep until she asked me if I wanted some witch hazel! I really really enjoy the massage she gives after the whole thing is over. First off, what is the big deal with Twinkle? It's pretty sad how the majority of people who go here ALWAYS request Twinkle and leave the other employees just sitting down waiting for someone who hasn't read the yelp reviews to come in and take a seat. I get it if Twinkle really does work magic on your brows but in all honesty I've been to her twice and both times she was just the same as the other girls. If anything, I guess she was a bit faster, but she doesn't clean up my eyebrows as much as the other girls did. In other words, she's fast but sloppy. I don't know if that was just for me but those were my experiences with her. The other girls that did my eyebrows from time to time were whatever. I always left bleeding a little and I was never fully happy with how they came out. My eyebrows would either be uneven or I had to finish trimming some brow hairs when I got home because they did not cut enough at the end. I even showed them pictures of how my eyebrows used to be so they could try to copy the exact arc and everything and none of them, including Twinkle, ever got it right. I ended up just going to my usual place all the way back in Chino Hills where I used to live because I know I can leave satisfied there. I've been waxing my eyebrows since high school. I used to tear up every up time even though I've had my eyebrows waxed every time. My eyebrow hairs are so thin (wrong adjective I know ahha) and light that it's very hard to simply tweeze. My sorority sisters were recommending this place so, I wanted to check it out. I found this place on yelp and decided to give it a try. There was no wait on a Saturday afternoon, so I was seated right away. I told her I wanted my eyebrows cleaned. She did it very quickly and asked me to take a look. I told her that I think they're uneven and she said oh that's your natural shape. Ummm I'm confused, I thought one of the reasons people get their eyebrows done is to get them to be even??? Look mom, I have eyebrows! I've decided that threading is a form of art. These ladies and gentleman (he's new & does a great job!) know how to shape eyebrows with such little pain. I am in awe. They recommend coming in after 2 weeks to maintain the shape and what not. I usually come once a month and pluck in between to maintain the shape. The wait is pretty short. The longest I had to wait was about 15 minutes. If you know which person you want, then the wait is longer, but if you have no preference, you can be seen once you sign in. The staff is very friendly and you get a card that they stamp and after "x" amount of visits, you get a free service! These people are experts! I came in about 20 minutes before they closed, but I really needed henna done that night because I'm graduating! The wonderful ladies told me no worries and they'll do it. They stayed even after closing to make sure I got my henna! Easily the WORST threading service I have ever received. I went and signed in via their iPad. I specifically chose the "Full face" service. I waited while the woman finished with the previous client. When she was done, her coworker came from outside and took me to her chair. Everything was fine at first- she started off by threading my eyebrows. Afterwards, she gave me the mirror (which I thought was odd since they don't do that till the end). I could tell she thought the service was over so I looked at her and said "Thank you, but I wanted the Full face threading". She then goes and laughs and said "oh sorry i did not even ask. I am such a bad business woman. So sorry". After that, the rest of the threading felt rushed and sharp. Granted, I have been getting threading for YEARS and I know what it should feel like. Later that day when I went home, I saw a LOT of missed hairs, and I also have SCRAPES under my eyebrows. This was easily my first & last time here. read more

I usually go right when they open so there's no wait, and Twinkle is quick, she's consistent, and she's good. She was great and I learned all about her business and all she had been through during Covid and the shutdowns. I guess I just lucked out that I got her! She does sometimes have a bit of a wait, and I can't speak for the quality of the other threaders. The price for an eyebrow threading is $9, and I like it WAY better than waxing. I've been getting threaded for years now. One thing I will say is that the parking lot is a ZOO. It is terrible. I went by the other day because I need my eyebrows done but I couldn't even get a spot and it always feels like I'm a second away from some idiot hitting me in that lot. I had my eyebrows done today and I gotta say the young lady who works here absolutely deserves 1 star. This young lady is extremely inconsiderate and impusilve. Not only did she take my whole top layer off on left side of the eyebrow but she also acted arrogant and didn't apologize for messing it up. On top of that, the way she threaded my eyebrows is extremely hurtful that my skin rashed so badly. I'm all about being polite to others. I wasn't even mad with the fact that she messed up until she tried to argue that my eyebrows look "even" despite of being uneven. Please be careful and thoughtful about others is all I ask. No reason to act so belligerently and arrogantly toward your customers. To warp it all up, do I recommend her(don't know her name)? Absolutely no. Do I recommend this place? My fiancee comes here quite often! The service is excellent and they're very fast. I took my friend here and they did a great job. The people there will make sure that you are happy with the results on your eyebrows. Although they work fast, it looks like they are accurate with the results. It's a bit pricey for the service, but nonetheless they are good at what they do. I recommend this place for anyone that is curious to try it out for the first time. I have no shame. Here's the deal: I got issues with my upper lip. Mustache. Whatever. I have a lot of dark hair and I struggle with a way to tackle this very not sexy aspect of my face. I had no idea that eyebrow threading could also include upper lip threading. I'm so freakin' excited about this. No bleaching. No waxing. Just a little pain and my stache is gone. Hal-a-freakin'-lu-la. I'm not an experienced threading customer at all. Today was my first time. It doesn't hurt as bad as I thought it would. It almost reminded me of playing a piano. I can't explain that unless you've experienced it, really. They come out quickly, one at a time, and you can hear it. I felt my girl struggle a few times to get a few hairs, which was probably the most painful part. My bill came to $14. It should have been $12 because of their $2 off special on yelp, but the girl looked confused when I told her about it and I was so freakin' stoked about the whole experience that I was ready to pay whatever. I tipped her $3, so total was $17. Is that a normal tip for these places? What's a normal threading tip? I saw threading at Ziba down the street one day when I went with my friend, and she wasn't really happy with her results... so I came here. This shop is clean. Lady was quick. Be forewarned: the following review is not for the light-hearted or individuals with virgin ears. I used to be a regular at Sameera's in Fullerton since day 1 of opening to the point where Sameera knew me by name and face. Ever since their popularity soared, the quality of services has severely dropped and they continually overbook clients to the point where they couldn't respect reservations at the time you originally book for. I started getting threaded at a different location in Brea but had yet to find a place for brazilian waxes. At Nanu, their prices are competitive and on par with what I'm used to paying ($35) when I used to frequent Sameera's for a brazilian. It was quick yet thorough. If you drop your underoos for a total stranger, you want the experience to be top notch. And it definitely was. As for the threading, I have yet to try it. The place is located in a small complex and isn't the cleanest threading salon I've visited but the people are so friendly! It gets the job done in an inexpensive and speedy manner so I'm content. read more

She left them too thin, took so much out that she completely erased the arch on my left brow, had never been so disappointed.
