I came in here on a pinch and needed a very early morning appointment. everywhere else was closed being so early in the morning, but this place was open luckily at 9:30 AM. Had recently lost a nail and was going on vacation so I came here to see if they could potentially replicate my other fingers... and they absolutely nailed it!! you can't even tell which one was added compared to the originals. Obviously my service was very cheap. I think I spent $10 for one nail, but they did a great job. Will definitely be back. Apparently, they add teas: herbal and things like that to your manicure pedicures, which is really cool. The manager has experience in things like that and the vibe was Vibing. read more

Unfortunately, my first visit to Veganic Nail Spa on Harbor Blvd will also be my last. I came in this morning for a pedicure and was assigned to Amanda. From the beginning, the experience felt uncomfortable. She was a little rough during my pedicure, and some of her comments came across as unnecessary and rude. For example, after she finished the French tip, she asked if I liked it. I told her yes and that it looked nice, and her response was, "It's very hard because your nails are so short." I'm not sure why that comment was necessary after I had already said I was happy with how they looked. Amanda also kept trying to get me to text her directly so she could have my phone number and make future appointments with me. I found that strange and uncomfortable. If I wanted to book with her again, I could simply make an appointment through the salon's normal booking system or website. The part that really bothered me happened after I left. Apparently there had been some miscommunication involving Amanda and another client who wanted to book with her that morning, and somewhere in the process the salon incorrectly charged me for my pedicure. After I had already left the salon, I received a call letting me know THEY had incorrectly charged me and that I still owed an additional $25. I said okay and agreed that I would come back to pay the difference. Not even 20 minutes later, they were calling me AGAIN asking me to come back. That was completely unprofessional to me. I had already agreed to return and pay the difference for a mistake that their establishment made. They didn't even give me a reasonable opportunity to come back before calling me again over $25. I was not refusing to pay, avoiding their calls, or telling them I wasn't coming back. I had literally just told them I would return. The person who called me, Tri, handled the situation in a way that I found extremely unprofessional. Mistakes happen, and I had no issue paying the correct amount. My issue is how I was treated after THEIR billing mistake. Once a customer has agreed to return and correct the difference, repeatedly calling them less than 20 minutes later is excessive and made me feel like I was being harassed over an error I didn't even make. Between the uncomfortable experience during my pedicure, Amanda trying to get me to communicate with her personally for future appointments, and especially the way the salon handled its own billing mistake afterward, this was an extremely disappointing first experience. I will not be returning to this establishment, and based on my experience today, I would not recommend it to my friends or family. read more

Amanda is amazing. I've been getting pedicures from her for at least six months now. Her attention to detail and customer service is unmatched. I'm hard on my nails, soI'm used to coming in strictly every two weeks for a pedicure before it looks wonky. But she does such an incredible job that I can go anywhere from 3-5 weeks before a single chip. I don't know what kind of magic she is doing, but in my ten plus years of getting pedicures, I haven't experienced this kind of consistency and quality ever before. Everyone that works there is so kind, the employees are friendly and helpful. Pricing is competitive for the area and the VIP treatments are absolutely worth it every now and again, although I typically stick with the basic gel pedi. Chairs are comfortable, beverages are complimentary and offered on seating, and the herbs they use for teas and soaks smell incredible. Finding a good nail salon is always a stressful task. Happy to find a place I can count on. read more

We had pedicures done by Joy & Robin and as usual, it was a great experience. I especially enjoyed that the shop wasn't too crowded so it was very relaxing. I am vegan so was so happy to find a nail salon that is not only vegan but organic too. However, that's where my praise ends. Pre-booked appointments were completed booked, but I was able to get a walk in manicure appointment on Saturday morning for a simple manicure (not gel). I tried my best to clearly & kindly express my wants throughout the entire manicure, but ended up crying from frustration due to the nail technician continuing to not understand/follow my requests. Starting with the cutting & filing of my nails... I ended up having to take my hand away and ask for the file myself because the nail technician continued to file my nails diagonal, making my right hand nails so much shorter now. They struggled with straight on almost every single nail. I was so upset because I didn't want my nails shorter but because they kept going diagonal, I had to make it even with the shorter side. Bad start. The polish color I chose from the sample nails didn't match the polish color in the bottle. So after they brought the polish I selected out, I had to pick again based on what the polish looked like in the bottle because the second one didn't match the sample nail either. The nail technician continued to miss parts of my nail, leaving some with polish and some without any. I asked for multiple layers because the polish was so see-through that you could still see my natural nails underneath. My friend had to intervene at this point because I asked and pointed out countless times that they kept missing parts of my nail. Like the nail file, I was ready to ask for the polish and just do it myself. As you can see from my photo, paint is on my cuticles, which shouldn't be there. Also, they didn't have a spot or machine to dry your nails (like I've had at other nail salons). They turned on a fan for me, but it died one minute later. Someone else came and fanned my nails with a fan for another minute, but then I just had to wave my hands around and blow on them to help them dry. This was a frustrating, upsetting, and overall disappointing experience. I do not recommend Veganic Nail Spa. If I'm getting my nails done, I want to trust that the nail technician knows what they're doing and that I shouldn't have to request correction every step of the way. read more

I accidentally booked wrong thing on the website which is a cool thing to have and they were super cool about me changing it. They offer you hot tea ANd let you smell the tea and put in the pedicure tub even with basic pedicure. The salon itself is beautiful, and I appreciate that they offer more natural color options and use essential oils and teas--it feels like a thoughtful, elevated experience. That said, I came in specifically for an organic manicure but ended up leaving with a regular dip/gel service. While my nails initially looked great, by day 10 they were already chipping and lifting, which isn't typical for dip or gel. I reached out to see if they could help resolve it, but was told they wouldn't redo the service without charging again. That was disappointing, especially given the short wear time. Terrible experience! I paid $120 for a set of nails that I ended up having to redo elsewhere. I went in asking for a simple French tip, but neither nail technician was able to do it properly, they couldn't do it all, I've never been to a nail spa that wasn't able to achieve a French tip look. It took multiple attempts, they convinced me to just paint my nails white instead, the final result looked awful. To make matters worse, I was charged full price and repeatedly pressured to upgrade to VIP services that I never wanted. Getting your nails done should be a relaxing and enjoyable experience not stressful and frustrating. Unfortunately, It was a huge disappointment and I wasted both my time and money. read more

I made an appointment 1 week in advance, arrived for my appointment 5 minutes behind and my technician was 20 minutes behind. The receptionist man was rude and called me prior one minute after my scheduled appointment to asknif I was on KY way. My concern is, why didn't he say she was running behind? I could have went to run an errand. Now I am sitting in a chair next to my relative I brought in to get a relaxing spa treatment with together with and she will be done before me. I came here because I saw in reviews that they were super hygienic and opened new packs of tools for each customer but at least in my experience this was not the case. The technicians were really nice but once I left and got a good look at my nails I noticed the polish on my fingernails didn't reach the top of the cuticle but actually left about an eighth of an inch gap between the cuticle and nail polish. This was extremely upsetting because I am aware some technicians do this on purpose in order to get the customer back in sooner for another nail appointment. It's only been 6 days since I was in and my nails look like I've had over a week of growth. My toes look excellent tho. I will not be going here again. read more

The manicurists are sweet, welcoming and hard workers. Kristin has been my go-to manicurist. She knows what is better for your nails and makes them look so cute!!! Had a great time with the VIP package of manicure and pedicure. From the list of different organic herb combination, I chose #6 which was herbs to promote longevity. The scent of the herbs was relaxing and refreshing with a hint of eucalyptus! It included, callous remover, sugar scrub with herbs, masks and massage! Practically wanted to fall asleep. Both Robin and Lien are amazing and have been with them since my college years:) The massage chairs are very spacious and works very well, especially the kneading option. I visited Veganic late on a Wednesday evening for a simple manicure with regular polish, and this was my first time there. They were able to take me quickly, which was great, but unfortunately, the nail service didn't go well. My nail tech didn't speak English, which made communication difficult (though that wouldn't be an issue if the service was good). The polish she used was extremely dry I even noticed how hard it was for the staff to open the bottle, which had me concerned. The first coat was poorly applied/streaky/sparse, and by the second coat, my nails looked crazy...so bumpy. I mentioned my concern to another staff member, and she told the nail tech who quickly applyed a top coat. While the clear coat helped a little, there were still flaws, like bubbles and uneven spots. As she waited for my nails to dry (blowing on them), she noticed one nail was messed up, so she wiped it off and started over. This happened twice more, and by then, I'd been there for an hour and 20 minutes for a simple regular manicure. I paid and left, but within two days, my nails started chipping. By the third day, I was at my best friend's wedding, and I was honestly embarrassed by how my nails looked. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place. I didn't pay too much attention to cleanliness, but from what I could see, the surroundings could use a little love. read more
