Overall 2.5 but bumping to three bc at least the staff members I interacted with were friendly and they have lots of appointment availability. My usual nail spot was fully booked and didn't have availability so I came here because on their menu they offered presto. They have presto for gel color but it's not the thick one that is typically used at Japanese salons - I should've inquired about this when making my appointment. My nail technician Paula was very aggressive with drilling off my existing gel; I had to ask her to slow down several times because my nails were getting hot. She also did not soak my nails at all which I thought was unusual for gel removal. After my gel was completely drilled off she proceeded to apply an acrylic overlay to my nails (a service I didn't ask for) she told me that it was because my nails were "too thin for gel" - this was when I was informed that they don't have the presto gel base coat that is used at my other salon. I asked for simple sheer gel (they don't have sheer presto colors) with white French tip in the deep curve style (pictured below) and it came out really uneven and the sides of my nails were really messy. They also used some off brand top coat and told me they didn't have OPI or presto top coats which is weird considering they charge extra for presto or OPI but do not have all the necessary products to use them for the entirety of the service. In total this cost $57 without tip which I think is reasonable but I would honestly rather pay more to get what I act Other things: They offer 10% off if you pay with cash. There are plenty of salons where you can receive both quality work and basic respect from the people providing the service. This is, without a doubt, one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a nail salon. The quality of the work was extremely disappointing, and the technicians I dealt with were rude, disrespectful, unprofessional, and completely lacking in customer service. I have been to many nail salons, and this experience stands out for all the wrong reasons. Poor workmanship, zero professionalism, and terrible customer service. Although, they couldn't do exactly what my inspo pic was. They still did a good job overall & service was friendly. I also ended up adding a pedicure too. It is so well maintained and I have always been welcomed and quickly accommodated and have always come out pleased with their craftsmanship, as well as feeling like I've just come out of a spa experience. Why would I come in for a gel man and ped and want two different vibes? I've lived in the Porter Ranch area for that time and have yet to find a nail salon that even comes close to the professionalism , talent and amazing people that make 3 Thirty 3 the best at what they do! Today, I called to make an appointment and just gave my name .When I walked in the front desk manager recognized me immediately and that alone tells you how in tune they are to their clients . Very disappointed with my experience. Would leave 0 stars if I could. I've been a loyal customer for years and have always recommended this salon to friends and family. Today I tried calling starting at 3 PM but only got a busy signal the entire time. I drove 25 minutes and arrived at 5:30 PM, an hour and a half before closing, only to be told they were fully booked and I could come back another day. If the phone had been working or someone had answered to let me know, I would've gone somewhere else instead of wasting my time driving over. I even explained I had been trying to call for hours, but was told it was just an issue with their phone with no real apology or accountability. The gentleman doing my pedicure implied that my feet were dry and I should upgrade my pedicure before he even looked or touched my feet, plus the water was cold. During the pedicure he agreed that I didn't have calluses. Every color I picked from the OPI binder they didn't have. It took three attempts to get a color they actually had. I've come here a handful of times, they are good at getting you in fast which is nice. I usually get manicures here and have gotten some cute nails. The details are not always precise, every manicure I've gotten has had something wrong like 1-2 misshapened nails, streaky polished, that sort of thing but nothing super major. This last time i got a pedicure (a few days ago) and the woman who did it hurt me more than once while doing it and i now have an infection in one of my big toes. I'm in a lot of pain and can barely walk and will need to go to urgent care today for it. She had an AirPod in and was on the phone during the whole appointment so I'm not sure if she just maybe wasn't paying attention or what but i will not be returning to this nail salon EDIT: i did email the owner as requested in a reply to this review. I sent a photo of my infected toe and gave the information requested on Saturday afternoon. They responded confirming which location i went to and asked if i knew the technicians name (unfortunately i don't). I responded to them and haven't heard anything back. Sad to say, but we will no longer be coming back here. We called to see if they could get us in in the morning and they said they needed to do 1 o'clock. We arrived for our appointment and finally after waiting 25 minutes I mentioned something and she said we weren't gonna be able to be seen another half an hour. An hour after our appointment! I said why didn't you let us know when we got there that you were running so far behind and she didn't really have a reason. Just they scheduled wrong. The time before when we were there, my massage was supposed to be 15 minutes and it was only 11. I didn't say anything, but I feel like I should have. I asked on the way out if they would do 50% off or anything since it was there error and she said no. I decided to give them a try since they're are so many fantastic reviews but my visit was subpar at best. I did show up a bit late to my appointment and considering they were extremely busy, I had no issue waiting. Receptionist gave me a 15 min wait time so I thought, "no problem". Once they sat me in a chair, I proceeded to wait another 20 minutes. I was getting so impatient, at that point I could've gone to my regular spot. No one offered me anything to drink so I had to ask. They limit you to 1 glass of champagne but my usual spot does a limit of 2. No snacks which was a bummer. The job was alright. Did everything super quickly. No attention to detail. There was a resin from the gel sticking out of my nail when I left. My massage was also disappointing. Pedicurist only massaged my calves and barely got to the soles.The color palettes were pretty scattered around. Price was cheaper than most and that's why I don't go to places like this. Pretty disappointed in my experience here. It was highly recommended on social media and it did not live up to the hype in my opinion for how much you pay. Some of the positives are that it's a clean and well maintained place with friendly nail techs. I appreciated that they unpackaged new or clean tools. They offer a variety of drinks when you sit down. I did like the acrylic flower art another nail tech did for me and I thought my pedicure overall was decent. However, the cons really outweighed the pros. I got cut 4 times from the nail techs doing my nails. That's the most I've ever gotten cut at any salon. My friend who came with me also go cut. I showed a picture of my inspiration nails and while I understand they won't always look exactly like the photo I don't think they were able to achieve the pearl tip nail I was hoping for (inspo photo attached below). I wish when I asked the tech if she could do it she would've just told me she couldn't. However I was also disappointed with the basic French tip painted on initially before adding the pearl. The sides of my nails are sloppy/incomplete. Some of my nails also have bubbles in them so it's not smooth. They left a ton of glue under our nails as well. I am absolutely heartbroken, furious, and in tears writing this review. I have been a loyal, and very easygoing customer of this salon for over a year, coming here specifically to see Sarah. Today was the absolute last straw. Less than 5 seconds into removing my nails, she used a metal drill bit and cut my skin so deeply that it started bleeding immediately. It hurt so badly that I completely broke down and cried right there in the chair. What makes this completely unacceptable is that this is the THIRD time she has made me bleed. The first two times, she was rushing with the nail file and sliced the pads of my fingers. I was patient and gave her the benefit of the doubt before, but today was the most severe and dangerous incident yet. I walked out feeling traumatized, wronged, and speechless. If you value your safety and want to avoid getting physically hurt, please do not come here. They have completely lost my trust and my business. Here is what happened with Sarah after she hurt me: Before it happened, she seemed really rushed and was speaking Vietnamese to her coworker. After she made me bleed, I told her, "This is the third time you've cut me, and this time is the worst. I'm not coming back, and I'm not paying." She argued back, "You have to pay, this is my job." Then she said, "I can finish cleaning your nails, then you can leave and find someone who won't hurt you." Excuse me? I asked, "Are you kicking me out?" She just said she didn't do it on purpose, said sorry, and claimed I was disrespecting her. I was completely speechless. The manager never came over to check on the situation.
