I wanted to try something new such as hydrafacial the day before my trip just for hydration and to get a nice glow. I decided to reach out to this place with very high hopes. Ellie did my hydrafacial. She was extremely sweet, however I was disappointed with my facial. There were a few upcharges that she recommended but I didn't think it was necessary. If you're looking for an esthetician Melody is THE ONE you need to go to! I've been coming to Melody for about over a year now and have been raving about her to all of my friends and family! I've been to so many different estheticians and have tried every type of skincare recommendations yet my skin was never able to clear up and was SO SO sensitive. This place is amazing! I can't recommend it enough, I've been coming here for over a year. I book with Ellie everytime, she is amazing and has truly transformed my skin! During covid my skin began breaking out constantly, I blamed the masks. It was very frustrating dealing with acne for the first time in my life and then the horrible scarring afterwards. I tried every viral product out there but finally gave up and decided to try skin technology! I am so glad I did! I've tried various facials and treatments here all dependent on what my skin needed. This place was almost perfect. I originally came in for a hydrafacial, but an acne facial was suggested instead. I saw immediate results with the acne facial. I felt that I was well taken care of. What I didn't like was that the esthetician was not able to tell me what products were used on my face nor was she allowed to educated me on how to properly wash/treat my face at home unless I bought their products. They were pushing to buy products extremely hard. I felt like since they were pushing so hard to buy products, they didn't actually care about your skin. I felt like they only cared about money. Melody is like the best friend you always wish you had. When I came in for my first consultation she spent almost an hour with me before our first session just talking with me about my skin and skin care routine. She was dead honest about some of my bad hygiene habits and underperforming products that resulted in my terrible skin quality. I started getting facials when I was 15-19, but often times, it was the most unpleasant experience from the pain to how inattentive some of the estheticians were. When I was 19, I had a traumatizing experience where I was left sobbing in the elevator with a bunch of strangers. I'm still pretty clueless about how to take care of my skin but Ellie is super informative about what treatments I should get and how I should be taking care of my skin in between facials. She took one look at my skin and asked my permission to take a different approach. She explained that she could see I was overtreating my skin for acne and that my real problem was sensitive skin! From there, we developed a plan; she helped me choose the right products for my skin and at each appointment she personalized a treatment to meet the challenges that my skin presented. Overtime, we got my acne and sensitive skin under control and as I aged into my 30s, Melody has been integral in transitioning me to an anti-aging plan. I have been going to Skin Technology since it opened and I began seeing Melody even before she worked there. She is an absolute miracle worker! On several special occasions, or before big holiday trips, I've had breakouts due to stress and other factors and she has always worked her magic to make them disappear in a matter of days or even hours sometimes. I would never trust anyone else with my face. Melody has seen me through pregnancies, graduate school, personal tragedies and the like, and she has always been kind, patient, generous, and caring. She explained what she wanted to do and gave me some advice about not wearing make-up, not stressing.. etc. Anyone she literally gave me a 30 minute facial! with the worst possible massage ever! Just some tips for you Melody 1. If you are giving someone a massage, don't make so much noise getting your things together while the person it trying to relax... its not comfortable at all. 2. You wanted me to purchase a $60 dollar little sampler of face stuff... UMM no! 3. Dont tell me to not wear makeup, just clear my pores. I feel like i walked out looking the same and $50 bucks short for a 30 minute facial.
