I had Botox done for the first time a few months ago, and while I really liked my forehead-smoothing results, I didn't like the slight nausea and headache that I had for a few days afterwards. So when a friend referred me to Beautiful Reflections and told me that Xeomin is a new form of Botox that I may react to less, I was all for trying it out. I purposely scheduled an appointment at the same time as a friend of mine, so that we could watch each others' procedures - which RN Lisa Hollis was happy to entertain. Easy parking always starts off any visit in the right direction for me, so when we pulled into the giant free open lot, I was happy! The office is upstairs from Curves, which we easily found. When we walked in, the pink and white decor with black accents were so cute - what a comfortable and feminine environment! We were welcomed by super sweet Calissa and each asked to fill out several health questionnaires. Calissa is RN Lisa Hollis' daughter; you can definitely feel the love in this office, and this could be a big reason why! This mother and daughter clearly work well together, and are as respectful and sweet to each other as they are to their clients. Lisa Hollis came out to welcome us and talk about my previous Botox experience as we filled out the paperwork. She is as warm and talkative in person as she is on the phone, and I immediately felt at ease. I also heard her talk to my friend about getting some Radiesse filler in her cheeks. Hm, I have to admit that it made me think about it for the future....hehe. Since my Xeomin would be faster than the Radiesse, Lisa brought us both in and put me in the chair first. She put a numbing cream on my forehead area and let it get to work. The teeny pinches of the injections were so mild that it really isn't anything to mention, and she was done in a flash! Even with the quickness of the injections, it was clear that Lisa took her time and described the logic behind where she placed the Xeomin on my face. A little bag of frozen peas soothed the few needle marks, and I sat transfixed by how she set up my friend for her Radiesse. She measured exactly where the apex of her cheeks should be, on each cheek, and placed dots on her face for where she planned to inject the filler. Talk about detailed! Lisa injected the stiff filler into her cheeks, according to the dots that she had strategically placed, and smoothed it out to literally sculpt the effect my friend was going for. As you get older, you lose the fullness in your cheeks, so this very subtle filler replaced some in a very natural looking way. Fascinating to watch. Talk about perfectionist - Lisa went back in and added the tiniest bit here, and the tiniest bit there, because only her scrutinizing eye could see that it needed it. In between, she had my friend look for herself and use an ice pack on the side that wasn't being worked on. As she worked, I looked over her menu to see that she also offers a host of other services and products: Juvederm Restylane Perlane VI Peel Skin tag removal B-12 shots She's really close to Newport Beach, Fountain Valley, Huntington Beach and Seal Beach! It's now been about 7 days since I got the Xeomin, and I am thrilled to report that I had NO nausea or headache from it at all. My forehead is smoother, and it still has full function. And my asian eyes actually got a little lift too. My friends who purposely scrutinize to check me for any sign of over-Botoxed-ness admit that they cannot tell that I did anything. My first Experience with Botox was a dr. in Long Beach who completely froze my face. I didn't know what to expect, so I continued to go and get frozen. I moved to Orange County in 2013 and found Lisa on Yelp... and I'm so glad I did! During our consultation she asked me questions and talked about different treatments and made me feel informed, which up until then, I clearly wasn't. She told me I could eliminate my forehead wrinkles with Botox, but also maintain movement. She was right. I have a very expressive face and am able to maintain that minus the wrinkles. I had never recieved botox or fillers before going to beautiful reflections. I have always had an insecurity about my under eye area and my lips. I went in initially wanting to get filler under my eye but Lisa was quick to point out that because they are hereditary that filler really wouldn't make a difference and might look puffy which is was I was afraid of. Lisa was soo kind and honest with me when anyone else would be just filled under my eye without a care of what the outcome was. Now just because I am giving 2 stars does not mean I think this place is. I'm just stating my experience for anyone who is going to be getting the specific procedure I got done - Lip Injections. I came here about 3 months ago to get lip injections after I had read all the great reviews about Lisa on yelp. The Yelpers who gave 5 stars were mostly people who got Botox, which might make sense why my experience was different than theirs. It cost me about $550, which is normal for a syringe. Lisa said she does lip injections a lot and suggested for me not do a dental block. Just so everyone knows: A Dental Block is similar to when you get cavities taken out at the Dentist and they inject your gums with anesthesia. With this being my first time, I trusted her professional opinion. . . Let's just say lip injections are NOT for the weak hearted, holy mother earth... It hurt a lot... And I have a high pain tolerance. The procedure went as followed: 1. She first had me skype call with a doctor to make sure I was healthy enough to move forward with the injections...I mean...I couldn't even see his face...It could've been a homeless man for all I know. 2. She then injected two little bulbs into the left and right side of my mouth, about an inch away from the corners. (These were supposed to be some sort of anesthesia). 3. Then the injections started. She would stick the needle in through the corners and slide it all the way up to the middle (so you would feel like needle move inside your lips) and then inject the substance into your lips. The entry would be through the corner every time, whether it was the top or bottom lip. In my mind I was thinking why she couldn't just poke my lip with the syringe instead of sliding it inside my lip. From what it looked like, she only used about half the syringe, but I guess I will never know now whether she used the whole thing. My lips didn't look that much different, but felt kind of hard and lumpy, which is actually normal. After my lips fully healed they still looked the same, so I was a little upset that I spend $500 and still have the same lips. So you ask, why am I writing this review 3 months later? Here is why. A couple weeks ago I was getting my tattoos removed and I was talking to my technician. I told her that tattoo removal wasn't as painful as I thought it would be, and that lip injections were way worse. She told me that that was weird cause lip injections are supposed to be painless...she suggested I go see Dr. William Kirby in Beverly Hills to see what he thought. I went to see him today and let me tell you...they are not doing it right at Beautiful Reflections. My experience with Dr. Kirby was 100% different. He used a Dental Dam and I felt absolutely no pain when I got my lips done. My lips look plump and sexy and I made sure he used the entire syringe this time. He stated that if he hadn't used the whole syringe, I would get the remaining amount next time I went in...Lisa never mentioned that to me at all...so I honestly feel ripped off. Overall, I am not trying to discredit Lisa's skills, but Dr. Kirby more or less fixed my lips that were done here. read more

Mary's at it again. Yes, my mom who gets what she wants when she wants it apparently got a little taste of Juvederm in her face a few months ago and now she's all over researching the newest and best things to do for her face. And wouldn't you know it, my friend Lucy Y seems to be the one that she's taking advice from as far as who to go to. After the transformation that I saw her go through with the Juvederm (I went with her a few months ago), I made her promise that she'd let me go with her if she got anything else again. This is a similar promise that I made Lucy Y make to me, after seeing her get Botox a few months ago. I don't want any of that stuff in my face, but I sure as hell want to see what these guys are going to do! We all arrived and parked easily and walked into a very cute pink and white and black office. Calissa (front office and cute daughter of Lisa) and Lisa (the RN) gave mom and Lucy paperwork to fill out, and we all blabbed like we were at a tea party. How could we not be girly, with this pink and white so cute waiting area! My mom had learned that when you get older, you lose cheek fullness, so Lisa talked to her about injecting a filler called Radiesse to give her back a little plumpness. I guess that's what the new thing is, lets get our cheeks filled out a little bit so we look younger! Lisa showed us some before and after pictures of her clients that had the cheek fullness done, and I had to admit that it did look really natural and something about a little extra cheek really did make them look younger. Calissa had my mom sit in a chair with a chin rest that positioned her face in front of a digital camera. She took pictures of my mom's straight-on face and side views for the before shots, and then we all followed Lisa into the treatment room. Lucy got a little more Botox, or actually Xeomin, a new form of it, because apparently her forehead has started to move a little too much for her comfort. Ha, I like to tease her but it's really true - she needed a little more because the last injections started to wear off. Lisa worked fast but really detailed, and Lucy was done and my mom was in the chair in a flash. My mom's cheeks were a different story. Lisa actually measured multiple places on my mom's cheeks, each separately, and marked spots with a marker. She explained to us all what she was doing, that she was measuring the exact point where mom's cheek should be the highest, so her face would look natural and balanced on both sides. I have to admit that this was fascinating. Lisa took a lot of time setting it up before she even injected my mom with anything. The whole time she measured, she had a numbing cream on my mom's face, so when the tiny needle went in my mom didn't feel much at all. Lisa said that Radiesse is this stiff material that she injects close to the cheekbone, and she would show us how she smoothed it out after injecting it, to literally sculpt my mom some more cheek. Lisa went back in and added a tiny bit here and a tiny bit there, and it was so clear that this is a woman who is incredibly detailed in her work. Just like the tea party atmosphere in the waiting area, the three of us blabbed in the treatment room as Lisa worked and my mom got younger right before my eyes. After wiping off the marker dots, Lisa gave my mom frozen lima bean baggies to hold on the areas to keep swelling down. Then she took after pictures. We all watched and it was truly a fascinating thing to see. Even though I don't want to do any of this myself, I can definitely see why people do it, because it looks so natural and it's fast and from what my mom and Lucy both say, it doesn't hurt so much. Instead of getting any fillers or botox, while Lucy was watchinig mom do her after pictures, I asked Calissa to sell me some Latisse for a friend who has been complaining about her thin and sparse lashes. Lisa clearly knows her stuff, and Calissa is the sweetest ever. I have a feeling my mom will be back, after finding out what the other stuff Lisa offers (Dysport, Restylane, Perlane) can do. read more

She was severely thorough, down to finding out how much ibuprofen I took this week and how it may affect bruising! She actually felt and tested out each area of muscle on my face to determine the best course of action for my desires, and told my exactly where she would be injecting xeomin and how much. The final result is far more natural than I've had with any other method, but I'm still just "paralyzed" enough to not have any wrinkling- perfect! There is a huge chasm of difference between the attention to detail and quality of work you get here vs. any where I've been in Los Angeles. Lisa invited me to call or e-mail her to follow up on what I thought, and she was more than happy to have the feedback and correct anything I did not like, but I am more than happy to report absolutely nothing needs correction. To top it all off, the prices at Beautiful Reflections are quite reasonable, and the decor is fun and inviting rather than clinical and frightening. It feels far more like you're going to have a tea party than get injected, and with Lisa's friendly nature it's easy to forget that you're having a medical procedure done until you walk out looking much, much better. This is my very first medical spa experience so I wanted someone who truly knows what they're doing and someone I can trust. Beautiful Reflections is my first experience for medical spa services. I read about so many reviews about so many places and finally decided to give Lisa a try. Lisa is very wonderful person with good skills for what she does she gives you her very honest suggestion. I got my lips filled and I was a little nervous but Lisa and Calissa made sure I was comfortable and at ease. Lisa's attention to detail and perfectionism made my entire experience beyond this world. My lips turned out better than the first time because I let product that was filled previously at another place prior to my initial visit with Lisa completely dissolve on its own. Since everyone uses Yelp these days to find all kinds of places, I thought I'd search for a good, reasonably priced place to try Botox again. Back in January I had gone to my Dr. for a Botox treatment that was a free incentive with another one of his procedures, so I thought, hey why not I will try it. While I liked the results, only 25 units mind you, I waited almost 10 months from my first appointment to make another one- however due to his schedule and my work schedule, it just wasn't going to work out at his office- and this is how I found Lisa and Beautiful Reflections..... I should have gone to her from the beginning of my Botox journey- it was SO much better than my experience going to a plastic surgeon(!)- with him I heard noises/crunchy sounds with the injection and a real pinch when he was administering the Botox, but with Lisa all of a sudden she goes "All Done!" and I was still grimacing waiting to be injected. It was over. She explained everything very thoroughly to me, which made me feel really good- she also has a technique that takes the tiny baby prick out of the injection. She also has a face diagram/chart and she shows you exactly where she administered the Botox and how many units at that particular place she used- I really thought that this was great and very helpful! My last Dr. didn't do that and I had no idea how many units at what spots I had in my forehead. I would highly recommend her to anyone wanting Botox, in fact I have already given her info to a few of my girlfriends. I am a huge baby when it comes to needles and get so scared anticipating any kind of shot/injection. Now, 2 days later, I am excited to make my next appointment with her! read more
