Pro Nails is by far my favorite nail salon in OC!!! I've lived in quite a few different areas meaning I've been to many salons. Since moving to Costa Mesa, my boyfriend actually found this place for us both to go for a mani/pedi! I've been back myself multiple times because their staff is amazing, and the quality of their services is unmatched. Today- Henry did the BEST set I have EVER had! I was nervous at first because the set I picked was pretty complicated, but he didn't even hesitate to tell me he could do it and helped me pick out all the colors. He worked so quickly and seamlessly. I'm still in shock at how much I love them and how AMAZING his skill set is!!! I'm going to Coachella this weekend and Henry gave me the set of my DREAMS! Highly highly recommend this salon over others in the area! Henry- I will be back and THANK YOU so much! You are so talented

I came here to get my nails done for my wedding, and my nail technician was Henry. I showed him an inspiration photo of pink ombré nails with white 3D flowers, and he copied it so well. After seeing one of the 3D flowers I asked if I could have all my nails like that but he said it would be too much so he did partial flowers. His expertise in nail design resulted in beautiful nails perfect for my wedding. It took about 1.5 hours, and the price was very reasonable at $89.

They did a deep French with high sides, hard gel over natural nails for $70. This included my hands getting soaked, cuticle removed and lotion rub on my hands. I've been getting my nails done here for a few months and I really like all the ladies and their services. I think the prices are pretty good. My gel manis and pedis last for a good month (I work an admin/office job). Now, there are customers who are rude. The other day I was there and this customer told one of the techs that she didn't understand her english. She left complaining for a service that was costing $15 (of course, she was wearing a LV bag). So when you read bad reviews for these hard working ladies take the bad reviews with a grain of salt or go somewhere else. read more

I went in for a gel pedicure and left very satisfied! Mai was so gentle and thorough with my service. I appreciate how they had clean implements/tools for every new person who walked in as the FV location uses one file on multiple clients and rushes service. Sometimes when I leave other nail salons, my nails can tens to feel pain due to roughness from the service or over cutting of cuticles/nail bed. I left here feeling fresh and polished pain-free! Everyone here is overall very friendly and this place accepts cash and card as well! Just be wary as parking lot is a bit narrow and small. I absolutely love my nail ladies at Pro Nails, but unfortunately, my recent experience with the new manager was extremely disappointing. First, I called ahead because I KNOW how quickly this salon gets busy and wanted to make sure my friend and I could be seen together. When I called, the manager told me that I did not need an appointment and essentially made it seem like I was wrong for even asking. So, guess what happened when we walked in? They were completely slammed, and my friend and I couldn't even sit together. LOL. What made the situation worse was that he continued accepting walk-ins while the salon was already overwhelmed, telling people it would only be a "10-minute wait" when it was realistically closer to 30 minutes or more. Meanwhile, people who actually had appointments were waiting 30+ minutes because additional customers kept being taken. He also complained at least 7+ times about how busy they were and how he "didn't even have a chair to sit in," despite spending a large portion of the time sitting around and not helping the staff. He was also repeatedly walking outside to vape while the salon was struggling. On top of that, I heard him casually using profanity while speaking around young girls, which was completely unprofessional. One of the worst parts was watching him be rude and dismissive toward customers who were waiting for their appointments, as well as people calling the salon. There was also an issue where a woman came in for an appointment she had specifically booked with my nail tech. The manager told her that he had already informed my nail tech that she had an appointment, but that my nail tech continued taking me anyway. Even though HE was actually the one who told my nail tech to take me. Watching him shift the blame onto her rather than taking responsibility was incredibly frustrating. I genuinely feel bad for the staff because the ladies here are wonderful and I have always loved coming to Pro Nails. But this new manager has completely changed the atmosphere of the salon. The constant complaining, poor communication, rude attitude, overbooking, and lack of professionalism made what should have been a relaxing experience incredibly stressful. I really hope the owner takes these concerns seriously because the staff deserve better leadership, and loyal customers deserve better treatment. I love my nail ladies, but this management needs to change ASAP. read more

Unfortunately, I did not have a positive experience. I visited this nail salon three times, genuinely trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. The establishment is disorganized, not particularly sanitary, and ultimately, I was misled. I specifically requested dip powder, and they assured me they could do it. However, they used acrylic instead. My nails were filed so thin that they were severely damaged. It was a complete lie. No wonder they kept pushing builder gel, maybe they no longer offer dip powder and rely on acrylic. As just one customer, I understand they may not care about this review, but I advise caution when requesting services to ensure you get what you ask for. I understand if they no longer offer dip powder, as it's outdated, just be upfront and truthful. read more

This nail salon was my go to place for pedicures. Today my experience left me feeling that I'll no longer be returning to this salon. The prices on the pamphlets in store are outdated as well as what the pedicure services include. You pay more and receive less. You are not made aware of the price increase until you check out. The manicure received today was very sloppy and rushed. The man left the nail dip all over the back of the nails. When we were looking at it we were told that we could just wash off. The dip was not evenly coated in all the nail. The color is uneven on the nail as well as the texture. You can also see some of the white powder over the color dip. It was overall very messy work. I wished the man was more careful and had more attention to detail. UPDATE: These nails did not last a week! These are the nails with dip after 5 days. read more

The nail tech that I got was not great. She completely butchered my nails. I asked for a little off my regrowth and she went from not taking any length off to chopping it in half so my nails are incredibly stubby and unflattering to my finger. On top of that she didn't even match the length to the other hand so I have one side nails longer than the other totally different shapes also. No attention to detail. I will not be back. read more

When I reached out to her about it, the response was very rude, and I was told she would not fix them. Honestly, all that needed to happen was a simple gesture, such as offering not to charge me for a full set next time or something simple. Their prices are already on the higher side, and although I knew I was paying more than most places, I continued going because I valued the relationship and liked their work. The manager was only available on one specific day to fix the nails, and unfortunately I was unavailable that day. Instead of trying to accommodate me or work with my schedule, they were completely inflexible. Not only did they refuse to work with me, but they also made me feel unappreciated as a long-time customer. After five years of loyalty, I expected much better customer service. I will not be returning. Overpriced services with very poor customer care.

When I called, they told me to come in anyway, which I really appreciated. Once I got there, everyone was so kind and accommodating. I asked about getting a fill and changing my nail shape from coffin to something new and they immediately said they could do it. They were so patient with me and even didn't charge extra for the shape change since it was my first time there, which meant a lot. They stayed open past closing to finish my nails and I didn't feel rushed at all. Via did an amazing job and I absolutely love how my nails turned out! Overall, such a great experience. I was pressured into up charges for colors and designs which I finally spoke up for myself and changed but I'm super unhappy with what was to be celebration nails.. they just do not look good- and now I'm fixing my own feet which was the whole reason I went for a pedicure.

I was late to my appointment, which I called prior to coming in to make sure it was still okay for me to come. They assured me that it was okay and that they are ready for me. When I came in, I immediately knew the energy was off. Since I sat down, they were saying things like "oh yeah, she was late so she can wait for us". One of the other nail techs even say "oh feel free to charge her whatever you want" to what my nail tech said "yeah I'm gonna charge her $7 extra". They didn't know I was fluent in Vietnamese. I didn't say anything because I wanted to continue to hear what they had to say about me. They also asked me where I was from and if I lived in the area. I am assuming that they're asking this to gauge what my ethnicity is. Also, they kept bringing up the fact that I was late. If me being late was such an issue, why say that it was okay for me to come and that they are ready for me? At the end of the conversation, I asked what the charges for and they said the $7 was for callous remover. I just took it as that and didn't call them out on it. Right before I left, I told them in Vietnamese that if they were going to talk shit, make sure I wasn't Vietnamese and that people don't understand them. Their shocked faces made the whole experience worth it tbh. In short, these people are probably going to talk shit about you the whole time.
