Ordered a cake, two weeks ahead. At my specified pick up day/time I was given a frozen, standard issue cake, at the special order price ($40) ; it had almost no resemblance to the named item sold at the shop and had almost no decoration whatsoever, despite the shop version being fancy and my addition of another item to my order. It was even a totally different color. When I complained at the shop I was treated with only dismissal and told I failed to order the "special" version of the same item. Never mind it had no such moniker at the shop and I followed what the employee said to order when I did so . . . . I had become a regular customer but won't go back. This was for my birthday, and I was treated only with disregard. Wasted time, wasted expense, wasted special occasion and horrible customer service. No thanks. read more

Went in for an iced coffee and came out with a mediocre drink for $7 before tip. I'm sorry, I like to support local, but not when it's double the cost and the quality is mediocre. A couple behind me was going to get a bag with about two handfuls of granola in it, but chose to leave instead when they were told it was $8. Come on, now? Let people support you. All you have to be is reasonable. When a couple goes out of there way to go to your shop and leaves with nothing based on your ridiculous pricing after I almost choked hearing the price of my drink... that says something. read more

We got a small vegan and gluten free chocolate cake for our small elopement ceremony and WOW! So, so, so good. We have come to Nami several times for coffee and donuts but have never tried the cake. I'm gluten free and my husband is vegan, so not the easiest feat to find something special for our wedding. I'm a pastry chef and I wasn't thrilled about making my own cake, so Nami it was! Their gluten-free vegan doughnut was out of this world good. However they have no decaf coffee options even for an Americano which sucks for me because I can't drink caffeinated coffee, so that is the only reason I took a star off and it would've only been a half star if that was possible. Had the cookie dough ice cream and espresso shake (it's not on the menu, but you can request it). Both were good. The cookie dough chunks were HUGE, and the espresso shake was what you expect it to taste like. The portion size for the ice cream is pretty big. One order is share-able in my opinion. read more

Ok. Since I've become completely and totally addicted to tsoynamis, it's only fair that I update my review. At least once a week I find myself craving a tsoynami. Even my boyfriend, who is adamantly against vegan and soy products, has fallen in love with the tsoynamis and often accompanies me on my trips to get them. These desserts are also HUGE. For $4.50, you can easily split it between two people. I usually like to eat my own so I can bask in my gluttonous glory. All of the baked goods are also excellent. I have not been disappointed by anything I've had here. I've been converted to a Nami believer! read more

This is my go to place for vegan ice cream. It tastes just like the real deal - way better than anything you get at the grocery store. My favorite is the nos and mint, basically mint syrup, Oreos, and chocolate syrup mixed with vanilla ice cream. We are low key addicted to this ice cream and come every other week. The tsoynami's here are delicious. I had the almond oy-vay: coconut, chocolate syrup and almonds. My friend made her own with peanut butter, coconut and chocolate cookies. Both were really good and pretty large for $4.50. We also tried the chocolate baked donut and the granola. The donut was okay, the granola had lots of cashews and cinnamon and was really tasty. Super delicious late night indulgence. We have tsunami banana ice cream and a coconut haystack type of cookie dessert. Both fabulous. When we walked it (we are from out of town) there was no one else there so we were a little worried. We must have hit it just right because it was about 8pm on a Wednesday night. Within 5 minutes of placing our order, the place got super busy. While we ate, it cleared out and filled up again. Everyone seemed to be pretty regular. Nice clean restroom out back - very friendly staff working. If I had any suggestions it would be to have a space planner come in and help figure out better seating. The wall seating was fine but a little awkward because of table placement. People might hang out a little more if the seating was better. We will be back! read more

The blonde working the counter was very rude, acted as if our order was a burden, we got our donuts right away but waited while two other customers who came in after us were served. When I inquired about our burrito and two coffees she said she forgot our order then pointed to the counter to our coffees, no one had informed us they were ready. Finally got our burrito, the food was good but it was the worst service we had during our stay in Phoenix. I also work in the industry so I understand when someone is having an off day but this was just blatant bad service. I don't feel that anyone should have to wait 20 min for an already made, baked good that's behind the glass right next to the register just to be put in a box. Each time I go here this is about how long I have to wait. They could easily grab the pastries and box them right there (I've watched them each time & it takes all of 15 seconds. Holy yumminess!!!! Ok so I'm a meat eater, but prefer my veggies and this place would totally turn me into a vegan if I only knew how to make their dishes. We have been frequenting this place for Sunday brunch and working our way to sample the entire menu. My absolute fave is the sage sausage hash as you can't even tell it's vegan and it is perfectly seasoned. Make sure you save room for the tsoynami. I am the biggest froyo fan but this tsoynami goodness has totally turned my world of icy food upside down. It's honestly the best frozen dessert I've had although I really have to slow down cause as healthy as it is being tofu/soy based all that extra sugar from all the toppings do not make it easier on this hip and I will still end up looking like a vegan fat whale. read more
