We came into this restaurant on a Sunday at noon and easily got seating. The cafe was fairly crowded. My bf and I ordered two mimosas. The MANDARIN ORANGE mimosa was good. It was exactly what I expected with a little hint of more sweetness than normal OJ from the mandarin. The RASPBERRY LEMONADE mimosa was good too. It was something different to try than your normal mimosa. For my meal, I ordered the PESTO ARTICHOKE SCRAMBLE QUESIDILLAS. They were surprisingly really good. It was a good combination of all ingredients. My only complain is that there was a lot of oil from the pesto seeping through the tortilla so it made the tortilla a bit flappy and hard to devour. Since im not a fan of lots of beans as a side to my dish, I substituted the beans for potatoes. Their potatoes with the rosemary is REALLY DELICIOUS. My bf ordered the TAILGATE TACOS. The tacos tasted really good! They also had soy chorizo in them! The only dissapointment was that it came with beans that filled half the plate! We were a little disappointed by that and maybe could have been happier with another taco and less beans. I would have to say that this dish is pricey for what they give you. I came here with a few friends on a Sunday for brunch we enjoyed our visit. I always appreciate vegetarian/vegan menu options since they make my life way easier! We were pleased to see they do offer mimosas even though Yelp said no on alcohol. Win/win for sure. Found this place through Yelp - I'm in LA, but my friend is in Carlsbad. The vibe was really low key and happy-feeling and the servers were super nice! My friend is vegan and had a great breakfast burrito which looked awesome. It was actually 2 burritos. Banana Blackberry Smoothie - I'll say it was a banana smoothie with a few Blackberrys to get the a pinkish color. It tasted like only bananas. Coconut French Toast - COLD French toast. I thought French toast was warm, right off the skillet, but this was cold. Seemed like it was a cold baguette that was slightly toasted to get the coconut shavings to stick to the bread. I come here all the time with my girlfriend and her family and the food is always good! Had to throw them a review today because I had the thai chicken wrap and it was probably one of the. Eat ever. This was my first experience at naked cafe. I was excited to see what they had to offer. Their menu was extensive and seemed to have a lot to offer. Their staff was nice, most of them were attentive, I did notice the barista had a hole in his mask, which made me slightly nervous. I had ordered a mocha, and when I looked down, to my surprise, there were actual flies in the drink, I was appalled. I told the staff, I was not given an apology, he just took it and went on to re make it, but I was disappointed that he did not show remorse or compensation, it made me believe this sort of stuff has happened before. I've been wanting to try Naked Café for awhile now and I finally did and I'm so glad I did! Top favorite place to eat no doubt! I went on Christmas eve around 12pm, and it was pretty busy, I got my food to go and it was ready in like 10mins! I'm a vegetarian and it's hard to find healthy good when your in a rush. Found a pubic hair in my food towards end of the meal and lost my appetite. I put it in a napkin and told the girl who cleared our plates and showed her, she told me she'd tell someone. In a three night, four day stint in the paradise known as Park Hyatt Aviara Resort, my boyfriend and I ate here 3 mornings!! My trusty Yelp app on my not so trust Android enticed me on the promise of healthy, delicious Naked food. I insisted we go immediately on our first morning there, and surprisingly, the bf agreed, like he had a choice! And let me tell you this...the bf....is a freaky eater, I tell ya; and he LOVED this place. Service was a bit slow the first day, but the second and third were awesome; all the servers are bouncy with energy, menu knowledgeable, and quick. First morning we had: -one slice of their famous coconut french toast: delectable and tropical; thick fresh bread with coconut flakes toasty -buff breakfast burritos: the plate came with 2 mini burritos, I took one home with me. My husband and I love this place-food is excellent. The customer service has been below expectation. The other day I put in an order to-go. I had my husband go pick it up. Unfortunately -Jade that took the phone order went on a break and the order was never processed. When my husband arrived to pick it up they told him they had no idea about the order and that your wife ( ME) called the wrong location. My husband called me to verify that I did indeed call naked Café Encinitas -I checked my phone and the number was naked Café Encinitas. The problem I have is not that they forgot to place the order and my husband had to wait for it to be cooked and ready. The problem for me is that they , with no hesitation , assumed that I made the mistake and called the wrong place. I'm writing this review without first reading other people's because I don't want to be influenced, and I really really like this place, its my new favorite for breakfast. I have been here three or four times, and I only found out about it a few months ago from a friend, because its hidden away in an unpromising looking area off El Camino Real. Their coffee/cappuccino is the best I have ever had outside Italy. Their 'plate of prosperity' meal is so wonderful -- lightly toasted quinoa (sp?), with healthy add ins like feta and greens, and delicious! Good vegetarian options, although I'm not one it seems to be the case from the menu. Also some more decadent options that are just luscious, like the coconut pancakes. I love that they have nutrition information listed too, calories, fat fiber etc. Each time I have been there the service has been excellent, courteous and friendly, and that is a RARITY in southern California in casual dining establishments! read more
