I got a basic French tip pedicure. The French tip lines are not straight nor even to one another, plus there is a big dent on the base of my big toe and white polish leftover on the base of that one. I also got a gel-x nail removal, and the nails are not removed or filed all the way. Ridiculous! When I moved to Long Beach in 2017, I tried EVERY other nail salon in the city before discovering Nails U Love. My original manicurist, Ken, no longer works here. I now get my nails done by Nancy, the owner. I have heard great things about Ivy as well, if you like nail art. I am OCD level particular about the shape/thickness of my nails, and Nancy gets them perfect every time, without me having to supervise. I love that I can just chat with her and relax at my appointments. I have no preference in nail tech for pedicures, as everyone who works here is awesome. The salon itself is not fancy, but is clean and sanitary, and they take Covid-19 protocol seriously. The entire staff is fully vaccinated. There is a really good, genuine vibe at the salon, I always feel welcome. They accept credit cards, but STRONGLY prefer cash. Get some in advance, because there are no ATMs around. Giving them 2 stars because I did like my toes however they did charge $33 For it .. a lil too much but what the heck they did come out good! HOWEVER my gel manicure did not come out great at all my rhinestones started coming off first day and the paint job was so so I got them done Friday and was hoping they would last the week I was going to be in Mexico but they definitely didn't . . Wanted to try out this spot since my usual salon was booked and I needed a mani/pedi asap. My toes turned out okay but the mani is terrible. I fixed a lot of it while I was still sitting in the chair, there were pieces of filed nail still stuck on that i had to pick off but there wasn't much I could do to fix the bumpiness and unevenness of the polish job. The nail tech "fixed" one thumb which still turned out uneven and at that point I just wanted to get out of there. Definitely won't be coming back and I'm super disappointed :/ read more

So i called, asked for pricing and if they could do gel x removal and acrylic gel set, and if they took walk ins. A nice gentlemen helped me when i arrived, worked on my nails for two hours. Then asked for a picture of what i wanted, said he couldn't do the flower design. Then i said can you do another design instead? He said yes, but man he couldnt. Alsooo the nails are NOT straight! I did the French Tip Gel and I am loving the quality of the work. It's an extra $3 on top of the regular nail service since I elected for French tip. Ivy spent the time and effort to ensure that I'm satisfied with my nails. Amanda took the time to pamper my feet. I selected the Deluxe package for the feet ($25). Amanda gave me multiple gel coats without them looking too thick. My mom wasn't satisfied with her nails and they redid the gel French tip again to her liking. Overall, I'm very happy with the customer service I received and the quality of the nail job. It's a far drive from my place but I don't mind going the distance for quality work. read more

After years of having acrylics, I gave my nails a long break but I missed the feeling of having long nails so I decided to give Gel-X a try. I booked an appointment with Ivy, since she can do gel-x and she was so amazing! I showed her a picture of what I wanted (marble nails) and she executed it perfectly. She was very attentive and made sure I was comfortable. I can't have extremely long nails for work and as she was filing my nails she kept making sure if the length was to my liking which I really appreciated.
