Called Walgreens and made an appointment for a flu vaccine today, they verified yesterday when I made the appointment that it would cost me nothing and it wouldn't be. I get there today and after 30 minutes, they couldn't figure out if Medicare or my insurance should pay for it, my wife is disabled. I had to leave, head in the ass! This is strictly for pharmacy, specifically "pharmacy tech" Ashley. I rarely write Yelp reviews, but my experience at the Walgreens pharmacy drive-thru was so disappointing that I felt compelled to share it. I approached the interaction with a friendly attitude and treated the pharmacy technician with respect from the start. As someone with a college degree and several years of customer service experience, I understand that not every day is easy and that customer-facing jobs can be challenging. However, there is never an excuse for treating customers with the level of disrespect that I experienced. From the beginning, I was met with an unnecessarily rude, dismissive, and unprofessional attitude. Instead of offering basic courtesy and assistance, the technician was confrontational, careless, and showed no concern for how she was speaking to a customer. What was most shocking was her complete lack of remorse. When I expressed my concern, she casually displayed her badge information as if she was completely unbothered by the possibility of a complaint. That level of indifference makes me question whether this is a recurring issue. If this is how customers are routinely treated, it reflects very poorly on Walgreens and its commitment to customer care. Customer service matters, especially in a healthcare setting where patients may already be dealing with stressful or sensitive situations. Based on this interaction, it is clear that this employee would benefit from additional customer service training and coaching on professional communication. No customer should be made to feel unwelcome or disrespected when seeking assistance with their prescriptions. As a result of this experience, I will be transferring my family's prescriptions elsewhere. I am extremely disappointed and sincerely hope management addresses this issue before more customers have a similar experience. read more

Called the pharmacy for questions regarding my prescription that has been under review for about a day and the pharmacist that helped me out I didn't get her name, but she was really rude and cut me off when I wasn't giving her the correct response she wanted and wouldn't provide solutions afterwards. Came in at 12:30am with an urgent print job, but they did not have a usb connection so that I could print directly from my laptop. That had a connector for every phone jack so you could print from a phone, but not a USB connector... Disappointing that a huge corporation with a late night print shop that doesn't have USB access to print. Ineptitude. Super inconvenient. read more

I had a very uncomfortable experience at this pharmacy regarding "patient privacy". When I went to ask if my medication was ready, the pharmacy tech, Jose M (Filipino, bald ) asked for my date of birth. Out of concern for privacy, I handed him my driver's license instead. Despite that, he proceeded to say my full name and date of birth out loud while confirming information with the insurance. I understand verification is necessary, but sensitive personal information should be handled more discreetly and professionally in a public setting. This experience made me feel uncomfortable and concerned about how patient privacy is handled at this pharmacy. read more

So i go in at 630 am to deposit money into my card and they tell i have to come back after 7. I show up at 710 am and i have to come back after 8 for a deposit that requires approval because the workers dont want to bother manager. Yall need to stop being so lazy and scaring your employees i can see it in their eyes they are afraid. You should put a sign up that says we are too lazy to do deposits for customers. So i had to do multiple small deposits that didnt require management and got charged more fees. read more

I went in the other day with my daughter who has autism and the cashier was just being so judgmental of her. Walgreens need to correct their cashiers behavior because the cashiers are doctors, not professionals not a coparent not a friend or a family member they are cashiers and nothing else and Walgreens needs to remind them of that. So I'm here to pick up my order, And one of the bags are torn and the Lady who brings my order Name Diana, is just a slow walking back to the store to get my son a bag,that she obviously knew was torn and just stood there. I just am completely frustrated with the way they handled my medication, I recently switched from cvs to here and one of my medications got lost so my doctor sent a new prescription and yes it's a controlled substance but I guess I need a prior authorization or an authorization for emergency refill. Older asian man pharmacist is possibly the most rudest person I've ever came across, he told me he wasn't going to do anything for me and to go back to cvs but that's fine I will speak with another pharmacist who is competent and willing to help me, the Asian pharmacists name is Sang by the way, I will be reporting him for his attitude and aggressive treatment towards me. read more

This review is for Frankie at the pharmacy. Not only is his customer service 20/10, he went out of his way for me multiple times even though he was busy. He understood my frustration & even called the emergency room in front of me & asked if they could please e-send it over because the doctor didn't put my address on the prescription (which has been the new law) so you would think they would have done their job correctly. Frankie made everything better. I am in extreme pain & just got out of the ER so the last thing I want to do is wait around for hours for my meds. Thank you so much Frankie, I appreciate you !!!! Worst customer service in the photo department. Worker took my daughter passport pictures and told us to come back in 30 mins since there were other orders prior. We decided to wait in the parking lot. 30 mins later I went inside to try and pick up her pictures and the worker goes sorry our machine couldn't print the pictures. Could've did a courtesy call to let us know the machine wasn't working instead of having us wait 30 mins and still no call. There's no excuse because the store wasn't busy and they had asked for our phone number so it's not like they didn't have it. If I could've have it a 0 star I would but I had to give it at least a 1 star. Definitely would not come back to this location. read more

Worst pharmacy. If you can DO NOT send prescription here. Doctor sends over prescription and they never have it ready. I always call before pi king up to make sure my meds will be ready for pick up and the times they said their ready I get to the store and they are not ready. Pharmacist technicians tell me either its not ready ans need to come back later or some other day.So again if you can choose a different pharmacy this one sucks. Walgreens hasn't really kept up with the times. COVID testing and other services continue to lag behind other drug stores. This location, much like other Long Beach stores, is always out of something. I go for my prescriptions to get filled. I always need to pick up something else. Guess, they are temporarily out of it. Guess I need to make an extra trip somewhere. I do think the people in the pharmacy are really nice. They always take the extra time to make sure everyone leaves the pharmacy happy. read more

I love this Walgreens. The automatic refill system works and the staff here are awesome. They know my wife and I by name. Frankie is the best. He is always courteous and attentive. I highly recommend everyone drive to this location even if it is out of your way. I take customer service very serious. They help with finding best prices when insurance doesn't cover it all and helps with managing my many meds. I wish i can give this location zero stars. I placed an online ordered. Next day, I received a notification it was ready for pick up. I did not have a chance to pick up that day. The next day, I received a notification that my order was picked up! Clearly, it was not by me. So I called the store and spoke with the manager, Diana. Diana stated that the order was not picked up and she still has my online order but could not find it in the system. Well, clearly, it was marked as picked up and that's why I am calling you. Since, she had the bag in her hand, I asked her to return the order and refund me my Money. She said she will do that and I kindly thank her. Two days later, I reviewed my bank statement and I was charged for the item. Immediately, I notified my credit card and disputed this charge. Then, I called Walgreens customer service and I spoked with a young lady that said she will call the store and inquire about it. She came back on the phone and advise me that the manager stated that the package was indeed picked up but she would refund me the money back My question is still... who picked up my order ? I would never recommend this store. Someone really need to investigate this- marking someone order as sold is playing with someone's money. This is bad business practice and fraud. But ever once in a while you run across a very rude arrogant and insensitive person. 10:40 at night just got out the hospital and feeling God-awful and this pharmacy was loud/rude/dry/ no eye contact/ Irritated. I asked him did I do something wrong or did I offend him in some way? He doesn't even acknowledge my question. But says give me your ID smh. After waiting for the meds he came back apologize that he was very overwhelmed and didn't know I was the same customer b4 me he had a line more then 10 people in the drive thru and more in store. The employees of this store deal with more than they are paid to, and are an asset to the community. We should all be grateful they are here daily dealing with all of our demands and nasty attitudes, understaffed and for barely above minimum wage. With almost weekly robberies and assaults by members of the community they serve, we should be extremely thankful this store is one of the few remaining open. Doctor ordered an inhaler for me as I had an asthma flare up and went to urgent care for it. It was supposed to be ready Monday luckily I had an extra inhaler. I called back on Wednesday to make sure it was ready and they told me it would be ready in an hour. I come 2 hours later and they tell me it's not ready because my insurance doesn't cover it? But they can switch to a different one but it was stuck? Now, admittedly, I don't know how the process works but, if you tell someone it'll be ready in an hour, it should be ready in an hour, or I should at least get a call back. I work in Duarte and live in Inglewood and the tech was telling me to come back in another hour?? Not everyone just has free time like that. The next day I call again to make sure my inhaler is ready and I double confirm because it's just such a hassle to be driving that far and the woman on the phone sounded annoyed that I wanted to make sure it was ready. It is not hard to answer someone nicely and with no attitude especially with the move they pulled the day prior. I get there and everything was all ready for me. I don't understand why this didn't happen the first time especially after telling me my medication was ready. Wouldn't the process have been the same if they could do it the day after? I don't understand why they wouldn't check if my insurance covered it especially after telling me it would be ready in an hour. I'd understand push back if I was complaining about sauce with a mcchicken but it's a breathing medication?? 0/10 customer service and really unorganized process. read more

Let just say, their service in the pharmacy along with supplies are less then a corner of the star I had to give to allow me to leave the review. There is a cashier/customer service staff who won't tell you her name. My autistic son asked her her name when she was ringing up our purchase earlier this morning. She said she didn't feel comfortable telling him and wouldn't say what it was. If you're going to be dealing with the public, you should really be friendly. If you don't want to use your name, use a nickname. She made 'me' uncomfortable and embarrassed me because I didn't know what to say in response. Don't put your customers in that position. read more

I came here to get my photos developed on August 12 with a paper copy saying my photos will be ready by August 19. Came back that same day I was told receiving the news that my photos were "'being processing ". I called everyday since being told the same exact thing. It is 1:12AM on Wednesday, June 28th, 2023, and the so-called "24/7" Walgreens here, is CLOSED. I figured maybe they're on lunch break? So I called the store & the automated system informed me that the store does close for lunch from 1:30AM-2AM. So???? And to make it more irritating, there was an employee, literally STANDING right behind the door, working very hard at avoiding making eye contact with me or any of the other customers here who need this store to be open. This really sucks. Super disappointed. It's not like we were asking them not to take their breaks, but to just take their breaks at the advertised time. This really inconvenienced my whole evening.
