We have been going to this pharmacy for a while. This time my wife needed he vaccine to be done asap. Thanks to CVS that you can walk in to get it done. We normally schedule a vaccination but this time we had to do it as soon as possible. This is a busy pharmacy in the early afternoon but we were gladly take care of by the staff pharmacist, Mr. Changmo Park he was busy with other things but dedicated his time to give a vaccine to my wife. I want to make a complaint about the supervisor I spoke with over the phone on 1/4/2024 regarding my gift card issue. She did not want to resolve my issue because supposedly she said there's a long line. I'm like in my mind you can get other employees to assist. I felt ignored knowing I spent so much money on this! You could at least let me have a replacement or something. Luckily I went to higher up to deal with this matter. I'm so upset. BEWARE do not purchase any gift cards from this store!!! I'm a Walgreens guys, so take this review for what it's worth. Welcomed with dingy old carpet, lack of cashiers at the front & lackluster aisles of merchandise, this CVS is a neighborhood drugstore that really needs an overhaul in aesthetics, among other things. As a consumer, I don't find the shopping experience is as what it should be. While it's admirable of CVS to no longer sell tobacco products across the board, the amount of paper coupons printed out from the ExtraCare kiosk is downright atrocious. Speaking of which, I can't recall in recent (and kinda recent) memory when the ExtraCare kiosk was actually operational. I scan my ExtraCare card every Sunday for the latest coupons. Here, the machine seemingly has a permanent "out of order" sign taped to it. You'd think management would have better quality control for it's operations, but alas, you'd be wrong. With a Walgreens just across Artesia Blvd. & 2 other CVS' closeby in Lakewood & Hawaiian Gardens, I really can't justify patronizing this location. The ExtraCare kiosks print just fine, especially the blazing fast Hawaiian Gardens kiosk. I say pass on this location. read more

Zero Rating... The restrooms here are disgusting. No soap to wash your hands and used dirty toilet seat covers and toilet paper on the floor and looks like some smears of something. This is In both restrooms. Looks like they haven't been cleaned all week! Unsanitary and gross! Btw... not to mention I had to use the sanitizer wipes in the dispenser at the front door to clean my hands and those were dried out. read more

This is one of the cleaner and bigger CVS locations. Happy they renovated the space to make it more modern (though you'd never be able to tell from the outside) Workers are always nice, even if one comes off "not as approachable", I've found that smiling and thanking them helps improve the vibe. I mean, who doesn't get tired from dealing with shoppers all day long? Took my son to urgent care and was prescribed some medication. Unfortunately, the medication was sent to a different CVS that had closed at 7pm. I called them up to see if I could get the prescription at their location instead. The female pharmacist who answered my call got my prescription ready and did what she could so that my son can take his medication that evening. Thank you so much! I bought the wrong shade of hair dye from CVS (Oh No!!!) and I needed to exchange it. Jacob was the cashier who helped me. The cash register wasn't cooperating, but he kept at it until it worked. Set an appointment online to come get my flu shot. After I get there, they let me know they don't take either insurance I have, one being Tricare (for military). Didn't end up getting my flu shot here but the pharmacist was very nice and helped me out a ton. She even directed me to the closest place that'll take my insurance, their competitor, Walgreens. Everyone was following proper covid measures and they had huge bottles of hand sanitizer out for customers. The shelves were stocked at CVS, employees were all wearing masks and they limited the capacity. Hits the mark for me, 4.5/5 stars. read more

First off, I don't understand why when I put my order into CVS on the app on my phone, that it takes them up to 2 weeks to fill it. It's like I know that they need to get my doctor's authorization, but it should never take 2 weeks. I'm usually pretty on top of making sure that CVS is aware that I need my medicine to be filled. But for some reason this CVS always fails at making sure that I get my medicine, that I pay for with actual money, filled on time. The people here are okay. There are a couple of pharmacy tech's that I do like, but other than that, I would only give this place 1 star. Thinking of switching my prescriptions elsewhere. Clean, well stocked, although the cash register often seems unmanned. Had to yell out to get someone to ring up purchases. Needed to find some wound care items for my doggie's ears : I think pet shop supplies are way more overpriced for the same items that humans use (such as hydrocortisone cream). Tip: Witch Hazel solution is great for soothing human skin issues too such as bug bites! And no sting either. I do advocate buying the CVS brand over the more expensive brand name over the counter drug/ medication items. If you are registered with them, you also get to accumulate CVS bucks good toward the next purchase. I earned $7 with today's purchases. read more

Good luck getting through if you call! I called 4 times and no luck (I wanted them to hold an item that was clearance) when I finally did get through someone (a man) by the name Justin? (Not sure) Answered and after I asked him to check if they still had them (I had gone the day before and bought them but only bought 1-BIG MISTAKE) he answers me right away and just says no those are gone! No let me check, or anything and he sounded super agitated I was calling. Then I went after work bc by the sounds of it I was convinced that he hadn't even tried to look and the cashier, a young girl with curly hair was super cold and not helpful at all when I asked if she could look or check if other stores had them in stock. Inefficient and unorganized pick up of meds! They will make you wait to pick up your meds instead of doing it right then. After waiting for 20-45 minds they will call you again if your meds is ready the. Let's you go all the way to the end of the line which adds more waiting time! You should have a designated window for meds pick up of people who waited in the store for you to have the meds ready! Better yet close your pharmacy if you can't provide a better service! read more

i dont know why i have this hiatus about CVS that nobody goes there. It always feels dead when I come to visit this location. Maybe because I just like Walgreens better? Well they still deserve my fair review. So when I visited this CVS a few times this past 2 mos, they have their facade under construction so hopefully the new look will make people come here more. My parents get their prescription here so I guess its not bad considering that my parents especially my mom is so hard to please. Well most asian parents are right?! I like how this CVS has an automated lottery machine that not only sells scratchers but buy lottery tix for Mega Millions, Super Lotto, etc. The machine is so user friendly. You can do the quick pick by yourself and choose your own numbers. You can even check to see if you have won, you just scan the barcode of your lottery tix in the scan section area. I am amazed by this machine because I dont really play the lottery much and I have learned to much because of my mom (well you know old people and bingo and slot machines just all jive). Anyway with that said, i dont mind going to CVS once in a while. read more

I had tonsil surgery back in December and went right after my surgery to get my pain prescription, the woman had the worst customer service no eye contact and proceeded to tell me to write my address and name on the prescription, as I was doing so she told me she didn't have it and to come back in two days (pain medicine for removal of tonsils, yea let me just tell my pain to resume in two days) she could have directed me to a CVS that had it .....The issue was not the fact they didn't have the medicine, I understand, but the lack of common human respect this woman lacked was really sad as a pharmacist. I went to Walgreens across the street on Artesia and Pioneer and they were Amazing! The pharmacist was really understanding and proceeded to write my name and address on my prescription and helped me, making me comfortable considering the discomfort I was in. I have been to this CVS for years, And I have never been disrespected in such a way as I was today by Gregory. He over charged my daughter for 2 items that were $12.00 each and he was arguing with me saying that she had bought them. We he'd just payed and we're at the door when I noticed the receipt so I turned back to tell him and the first thing out of his mouth was she had more items than these. When I told him i wanted to talk to the manager he rolled his eyes implying that she had stole the items so rude continuing to argue I told him to look at the cameras that's why there their. I came for a flu shot that was not handled well. Silly me, thinking it would take 20 minutes at the worst (they weren't busy), but it took 40. The "drop off" employee told me to sit and wait to hear my name called. When my name was called, I stood by the vaccine area with no one attending to me. The manager said to go to the end of the line, and I told her I was instructed to sit and wait for my name. She got angry with me, which isn't professional. The vaccine area was a curtain, and I had to unbutton my blouse, so there was minimal privacy. Also, they did not have an eye ointment my mother needed, something they could order for me; fortunately, I went to Walgren's and it was right on the shelf for the taking. Walgren's also has a private room for vaccinations, so no more CVS for me. read more

The actual pharmacists here are great and so are the people at the regular check out. The pharmacy will even call you every so often to ask if you need a refill , if you're into that. The downside is that like every CVS, the wait is long. And the pharmacists' assistants seem to have a hard time locating an Rx - he couldn't find my Rx when the pharmacist found it right away. read more

tony davis the manager on duty was very rude and me fell like an idiot i wanted to use a 2.00 coupon and i told him i didnt have my card but i have my telephone number. He said i couldn't use it with a high pitched voice and with attitude he was so rude there were customers behind me i felt embarrassed. i love coming here . I liked this store. It had a huge spacey layout. The line was a bit long but went extremely fast to where i didnt even feel like it was taking a long time and literally different from all other cvs stores. They had a great customer oriented satisfaction and concern cause they noticed line starting and within seconds had 3 more cashiers ready in less time than i even had to think about the line being inconvenient . i highly recommend.
