This location is in a small shopping center so ample parking is always available. This store is always clean, and well stocked. The staff is always professional and goes above and beyond with each customer every time I visit. LOVE this spot. Has all my beauty supply needs. Since 2016 my mom has been lightening/dyeing my hair some level of blonde, then ash blonde... then it became silver blonde... then I started adding colors to it (Lavender, purple, magenta, rose gold, light pink and now it's currently a metallic rose). Good thing I work as a pediatric pharmacist, no one bats an eye at my changing hair color... if anything I'm always getting compliments on my hair color. Very thankful for the always helpful and patient staff and team at CosmoProf who I am forever bugging with questions and asking for special orders or when something will come back in stock. This place is awesome and I highly recommend it for all your professional hair care needs! Edit: I noticed a lot of people complaining about how the staff here doesn't stop/drop everything to look for an item they're searching for... the place is really small and all the shelves are neat and organized and well stocked... so LOOK WITH YOUR EYES AND NOT WITH YOUR MOUTH (my mom's favorite saying when I was growing up). Cut them some slack, they work hard and they're obviously understaffed (I never see more than 2 people at any given time... they're expected to answer phones, ring up customers, stock items AND look for stuff for you? I have had a salon in Bellflower since 1996 and have been coming here for a good 15 years. I must agree with the other reviews concerning customer service, no one has ever been rude to me, they just dont go out of their way to be friendly, it's one of those if you speak they speak situations. Just wanted to write a quick little positive review for this location. Compared to the others I've been to, I've routinely had issues with hours, cold customer service, & lack of expertise. Megan was a delight. I came in knowing what I wanted but she was able to concisely direct me and also offer an alternative and suggested future ideas I'll take up. She & the other rep distinguish as workers with great customer service considering I came in 10 minutes before they closed -- at the end of their shift -- and still mustered energy to help me out without the feeling of being rushed. Every time I come i here the staff is either uniformed or antagonistic. Definitely won't be spending any more of my money and this location and strongly encourage no else do so either. Every time I go in there now to get something they never have it & they put my name on the preorder list but never call when it comes in?! I asked the lady yesterday if they had a certain product she said they have everything out on the floor & they received their order earlier in the day. I sent my younger cousin who is Lic but very new to pick up color and gloves. They had HORRIBLE customer service, first off the cashier lied saying they only carry 100 pack of gloves which is absolutely false. Then questioned my cousin about her Lic as if they knew anything because I sent her to get brown hair color to cover her already existing color and what did the girl give her ???? A level 6 golden blonde to cover her to a dark brown when she's naturally a level 4 and has red hair at the moment and highlights. Please educate your girls who work there on the color wheel and color theory before they ruin people's hair. Thank goodness I checked the color before applying. This is my favorite local cosmoprof. Everyone thst works here is beyond nice, and pretty helpful. Ive never seen anyone being rude, or unprofessional. I have witnessed customers being completely rude to the staff though, which they take with ease. There's no reason to be rude, when you don't get your way. And I bet, the one woman who complained about the staff taking her card, was probably using someone else's card.. no one just takes your card for no reason. This store is really close to where I work, so I frequent it. However the other day, I needed a product that they did not have, so they sent me to the store on Stearns! (I will write that review next.) I primarily buy nail supplies and have been satisfied with the selection. The pitfall is that the girls working there are not knowledgeable when it comes to the products they offer. Twice now I have asked a question to them regarding a product in stock. Both times they kind of shrug and just don't say anything. Luckily I am persistent, and ended up finding the product by myself. read more

I have been shopping at cosmoprof for many years different locations etc. My last experience was a really horrible one at the Torrance location, so I promised myself I would never set foot there again. I gave the Lakewood location a try and it was definitely a wonderful experience. Both ladies working there (Liset was the one who rang me up) were incredibly helpful and courteous. They asked if I needed help several times and when I did ask questions about products etc they were very prompt to help me. I bought a lot of product and they were nice enough to offer me to take the cart out as long as I brought it back in, which was a plus considering I had bought a lot of heavy gallons. Thanks for the wonderful experience as a business owner I take great pride in costumer service and you girls nailed it. :) read more

The worst customer service I have ever seen. The issue was not with me but with a different customer. He was a old mad just asking about a hair color for his wife. The cashier was SO SO SO VERY RUDE. Not exaggerating, I could literally hear her yelling at this old man trying to say we don't carry those products. It doesn't matter if they carry the product or not, the fact is that she is yelling at the customer. As an employee you're job is to help the customer. Not go out of you're way to make home feel like he's absolutely wrong and you're right. I come here all the time with my wife and there's always tension between the employees. I've heard them arguing before with each other while customers where shopping. You'd think that it would get better but it always happens. So rude and stuck up. The reason this place gets a review by me, is to warn others of this awful location. Let me begin by saying the store itself is in a good location, very convenient to go to while in the area. Inside the store you'll find the typical lay out but it can lack on their selection of products never being there. So on to what makes this store a less than pleasant location, it's the manager there who's name I don't remember but she is a middle aged asian or Filipino lady. You'll notice her because instead of greeting you she rolls her eyes at you when you come in. No greeting no words actually just a look of either disgust or ignoring you completely when you are in there while she gossips with her coworker right there on the sales floor. So you pretty much have to shop awkwardly while this miserable woman seems to be bothered you're in there at all, or you endure listening to conversations you don't need to hear. I have gone there about 4 times and 1 other time a different worker was just as nasty ringing me up. She said something like you gonna pay now? As I was up there for about 5 minutes waiting to buy my items. The manager herself has been one to deny me of sales promotions and makes returns and exchanges practically impossible even with receipt, claiming the item isn't carried anymore or it's on sale so less than what was paid can be given back. I've been to many many other locations and this is the only one where this behavior exists and seems to not be corrected. All it took was 1 miserable woman to make this store a place for me to never go back to. Several friends of mine who have either gone with me or went on their own agree that this stores biggest problem is that manager. read more
