Review is for the pharmacy. They don't even deserve 1 star. I would give them a negative 10 stars if I could. DO NOT TRANSFER YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS HERE!!! They are absolutely horrible. Like legitimately the absolute worst CVS. Like all other CVS pharmacies, they suck, but this one is probably the worst pharmacy amongst all the them. And the one inside Target is pretty bad too. But not worse than this one!! I chose this pharmacy because they're 24 hrs and have a drive thru as well as being close to where I live. Had I known what a sh*tsh*w it was here I'd would have never switched pharmacies. They are SUPER JUDGMENTAL if you have pain meds. They automatically treat you like some junkie degenerate. Even though I've had multiple failed spinal surgeries (the last one being a spinal fusion) , a seriously painful autoimmune condition that affects all my joints and severe chronic pain to where some days I can't even get out of bed, walk or dress myself without help. And I've already exhausted all my surgical and non surgical options. Like what am I supposed to do? Do they need me to bring my medical history in order to justify why I need these medications. What do they need? Call with my surgeon? All my X-rays, MRIs, a copy of my medical and surgical history??? All of this hassle for freaking Tylenol with codeine!!! They used to give you that for tooth pain and I'm here trying to get by on taking it for pain that would send most people to the ER. You would think I'm asking for fentanyl with the way they treat me. I don't know what I can do to make these people stop treating me like lesser than a human being because I need these medications. I wish I didn't need them. Who wants to go through this hassle every month. Oh my Lord, don't even try to travel and need your medications early. I had to travel 1 time and got my script 4 days early and months later I'm still paying the price for it. They also arbitrarily choose when your prescription will be due. Their policy is every 28 days, you can pick up your prescription. However, they will choose your pick up date based on whatever they feel like that day. Or if the pharmacist doesn't want to fill it they'll just change the pickup date so it's the next pharmacist's responsibility. They'll either make you pick it up anywhere from day 28, 29, 30 or even day 31. They used to let me pick it up every 28 days but now all of a sudden they're making me pick it up day 31 for the month of July. They won't give me an explanation as to why the pick date constantly changes. When I do ask, they automatically make me feel like they've labelled me as a "drug seeker". Every pharmacist will give me a different answer to when I can pick it up. One pharmacist said I can pick it up day 28 and changed it to automatically fill on day 28. Then another pharmacist who I'm assuming was supposed to fill it that day, changed it again to day 30. It's like they're all passing the buck to the next pharmacist because they don't want to fill pain meds. Meanwhile patients are getting screwed. Do you think they care? Nope. In the month of May, I picked my script up day 28, then in June they made me pick it up day 30 and now in July, they're saying I can pick it up the earliest day 31. I don't care when I can pick it up if it's between day 28-30. Just choose a freaking time frame so I know when to expect to fill it. Except for Day 31. I don't want to be completely out of my medication before I can even get my new prescription. It's freaking ridiculous and so frustrating. If you ask why they constantly change pick up dates they don't give you a clear answer. They mumble some bs "well you picked up day 28, 2 months ago so it's cumulative days so now you've got to pick it up day 30" What??!!!? How does that even make sense. Then just don't give it to me day 28 one month and day 30 arbitrarily 2 months later. Just pick a goddamn date and stick to it. Then of course by even asking you've given them more reason to label you a "drug seeker". I AM seeking my medications! I freaking need them to survive day to day in order to manage my pain. Even though it doesn't control my pain entirely, I have no choice but to take these prescriptions. I'm severely limited on I can take due to GI issues. So this is the only thing I can take and they're making it so difficult every freaking month. Literally every freaking month I have anxiety going to the pharmacy wondering what kind of BS they're going to pull in order not to fill my Rx. This is flat out discrimination and should be illegal. Also their medications are trash quality. CVS will literally purchase the cheapest, least effective medications, and pass it off to the customer. All while making you feel like you should be so thankful you're even getting your medication this month. read more

I like to shop this location since is located around many shops and restaurants and I can complete many errands. They have a drive through for pharmacy, but I was picking up a few household items I had ordered on the app with my reward points. The store is clean and easy to shop, smaller than some of the other stores, and they sometimes are out of itemsI want, but pickup at the counter is very easy. They always seem to have enough staff for the checkout line, and they are friendly and efficient. In-store pharmacy, though, is always busy with a wait. There are always good sales and digital coupons, and in general with CVS I earn discounts for getting prescriptions read more

I always have my prescriptions filled here when I need anything as the drive-thru pharmacy is convenient not to mention 24 hours. That I do like. *thumbs up* I've gotten photos printed here twice recently. The first batch, which was about 30 of them, were not great. In fact, pretty bad. There were a small handful that turned out "good" which didn't make sense to me. I attempted to return them and the guy said I had to return ALL of them to get my refund, which didn't make sense to me because wouldn't they want to make SOME money?? (By me keeping the decent ones) For whatever reason I gave them a second chance and ordered again *eye roll* This time they were TERRIBLE. Overall crappy quality and horribly fuzzy/blurry. I will never get photos printed there again. *thumbs down* I still haven't found an AMAZING photo printing place so if anyone knows of one please let me know. The pharmacy is very understaffed and not efficient. I definitely am glad I changed my prescription elsewhere. I did like that they were 24 hr however its not worth the inefficiency. The gentleman that was helping three different people at different windows was doing the best he can. He did have a good attitude and was trying his best. However, it made no sense that I was moved around at 4 different windows, to complete my transaction. If they were a lot more efficient I would not mind paying full price for whatever. But when there is poor customer service and the technicians are scrambling to help as many people at once can be a little too much when you don't get the quality service. I was customer for longer than I should have been and glad to make that move. read more

Echoing what many other people have already commented, this pharmacy is extremely disorganized and doesn't get my prescriptions produced correctly and in a timely fashion. For me the last straw was when they called me about a prescription, unable to find me in their database even though I've been going to their pharmacy for years, trying to call back the number they provided me, only to be routed into the worst AI voicemail jail nonsense I've yet experienced with no way to reach a human being like the one who told me to call them back. They have wasted my time too many times and I am now going to switch to a local provider that's only open during regular business hours because this is no longer convenient despite the location and the 24 hours and the drive-through. I stopped by the CVS on Los Coyotes in Long Beach around 2 a.m. because my baby was having a rough bout of colic and we had run out of gripe water. I first checked aisle 10 thinking it would be near the children's medication but could not find it anywhere. I went up to the front and asked the cashier, Vincent, for help. His customer service was exceptional. Instead of just pointing me in a direction, he walked with me and checked aisle 13 as well while I explained what I was looking for. As we talked it through, it suddenly clicked for him and he realized it would actually be back in aisle 10 in a different section. He walked me right to it and made sure I found exactly what I needed. At two in the morning when you are dealing with a crying baby, that kind of help means everything. Because of Vincent's patience, quick thinking, and willingness to go the extra step, I was able to get the gripe water and get my daughter settled so she could finally sleep. The people working here are extremely friendly. It is decorated for Xmas and done well! They're helpful, working hard, friendly, the store is orderly. Those working there know their merchandise. It's extremely difficult to get a human on the phone. The automated phone hung up on me twice without me being helped

1 star for the cashier working when I went on a Saturday morning. I was trying to pick something up, and the cashier, though she greeted me when I walked in, was pretty condescending during my entire visit. It was as if she owned the place and treated the customers like members of the peasantry. This CVS is in the traffic circle neighborhood, which can get a little confusing trying to navigate your way around if it's your first time there. Just know that this CVS is between the actual traffic circle and the outer traffic circle. If you see Chick-fil-A, CVS is the next building over. As I walked in, I was looking at the aisles to see where to find what I needed, and I asked the cashier since I couldn't find the aisle. She arrogantly replied that I'd have to walk further down and look at the signs on the aisles. Seriously? Terrible customer service right from the getgo! And she probably didn't bother to even remember where the individual items are that I'm almost certain if some other customer asked her the same question, she'd reply the exact same way, even if she knew off the top of her head where it was in the store. I then looked to my left and immediately saw what I needed to get. Once I got the item, I was looking for a self-checkout station to avoid having to deal with her again, but there was none. At other CVS locations, I could have done self-checkout, but I suppose this CVS is trying to cut down on costs and would much rather have a long line for full service checkout instead. There was no other employee at the front counter, so I had to check out with her. She asked if I was ready, to which I answered yes, and she replied that she'd ring me up at the register where I first saw her. Are you kidding me?? You really expect the customer to remember where you were standing at this particular point in time?! All of a sudden, it felt like the Monty Hall problem, but without the offer of switching doors after your first choice. And if that wasn't enough, she was wearing a mask, but it was entirely underneath her mouth. If you're going to wear a mask that way, you might as well just not wear it at all as it serves no useful purpose in that situation. There are plenty of CVS Pharmacies in this area. Next time I need something from CVS, I'm avoiding this location. Hopefully the other employees working here aren't as miserable at servicing the customer. read more

Yes sometimes the wait can long, but the 24 hr drive thru is a godsend for people like me. My work, social life, and reasons for prescriptions often prevent me from being able to go to regular pharmacy hours. Additionally, the drive thru provides a safety for those of us in mental health episodes or contagious illnesses and can't bring ourselves to go inside. This branch, at 4400 E Los Coyotes Diagonal, Long Beach, is the worst of the worst. Last night, I came in to pick up my prescription, and again - I think it was the sixth or seventh time - it was not there after they notified me. I asked, "Why is this always screwed up every time I come here?" I ask the clerk to look on her computer to see if the order is there. She can't do that. You have to go to another line and wait to talk to a pharmacist. So I did. After the pharmacist stopped helping the other person at the window, he walked away, and the three people working behind the counter started chatting. There must have been 10 computers around them. I asked, "Are you telling me there is not one other computer you can look at to check this?" Some creep with a porn star mustache came up and told me to "calm down," as if I were some child having a tantrum. It was the single rudest exchange I have ever had in a retail establishment, and after I walked him through what happened and listened to all his snide remarks, guess what? He was f$ckin' wrong: the pharmacy screwed up. No apology, just more snideness. I swear to god, and I can prove this, they even shorted me on my suboxone strips, which is highly unusual, especially for a substance controlled so strictly. I take it because I have a bone tumor and can't use addictive painkillers long term. IT'S ALL I HAVE. They don't give a sh*t. Sometimes they fill it three days early, sometimes they won't fill it until my last strip is gone. When I call and ask what the policy is, they are annoyed and treat me like I am a "problem" customer, even though I have never once raised my voice or used foul language. They have a dumb sign at the cashier's, some shite about respecting people, but like employees at an impound lot, they know they have you over a barrel: you need your meds, and they will treat YOU however they please. I am moving all my prescriptions out of here before Mr. Pornstache swaps out antihistamine for insulin or something and tries to kill me for posting this. I wouldn't be surprised. I have been waiting over a month for my prescription and every time they contact me they say it's only gonna be one more day, but it never comes. They definitely do not keep in contact to let me know what's going on, they also never have any clear answers when I have a question about why I can never refill my medication when it's due. TLDr: Tried to charge me $2,600 for two medications (ended up being $18 after I loudly argued with them, because that's what it actually costs) and the pharmacist (Patrick P.) lied to my face about transferring prescriptions. Ok, so I came to this pharmacy because I needed urgent medication for an eye infection that could cause blindness if untreated asap. I get in line, they're fairly nice, and they say come back in 20-30 minutes and it'll be filled. I came back 30 minutes later and not only are the prescriptions not filled, but they are now missing one medication which they had just said they had 30 minutes ago. Also, they now inform me I owe them $2,600! I loudly complained (because that's insane and I have insurance) and they tell me "oh it's ok, stand in this other line and he can get you a coupon," which is a ridiculous response because, gurl, there ain't no flipping coupons, they're just making shizz up. I wait to talk to the pharmacist, and I'll be honest I led off by telling him he should be ashamed of himself. (I used to work in medical care, btw) He informs me that I should go to a different pharmacy and just keeps saying the words "it's retail it's retail!" So, ok, fair, let's go to a different pharmacy that works better with my insurance, that's great. I say, hey how do we do that? He tells me he doesn't and won't do that. He says, you have to go to a different pharmacy and they'll call me. So I ask for his name. He refuses to tell me. I say, hey I just want your first name and just an initial so that when they call (which I'm 99% sure they won't, but hey wtvr let's play his game) I can tell them who to talk to. He hides his name badge. I ask if he'll be here to answer the phone in an hour. He says the pharmacy is open but won't tell me if he'll be there, as the only pharmacist on staff, to answer the call. He says, I can fill one of the prescriptions now and yeah it should be a lot like $1,000 but with this "'magic coupon" it's now $18. I eventually get his name, Patrick P., and he says come back in 30 minutes so we can fill the prescription. At this point, I refused. I said "you said that over 30 minutes ago, and I came back, and you didn't fill the prescription." I informed him that I will be standing right here, out of line and behind the privacy line, but still RIGHT HERE, because you didn't fill it the last time you said you would, and you tried to trick me into paying $2,600 when it's really $18 and you only have one med to fill which is just a common set of pills. At this point, the entire line behind me and at the other stations is now also upset at the pharmacists, because each person going up is having the exact same thing happen. Prescriptions not filled, not informed of the price until they've already waited 30 minutes to an hour, and ridiculous prices that, if you get upset, magically come down to the real price. Many people didn't know about the made-up "coupons" so at least those 20 or so people got a better price. They filled my order in five minutes because I stood there glaring at them. I paid $18. I went to a better pharmacy Ive been to before and explained the situation. They were very confused and explained they cannot call that pharmacist, and even if they could, (which they were willing to do after I explained the risk of blindness) they said he would not be able to transfer my medication. I then started all over at my normal urgent care to get new prescriptions and I showed the provider the meds the pharmacist (Patrick) had given me. She said that's not the right medication, not the right dosage, but also hey that could have been the original provider/prescription not the pharmacist. Still though--wrong medicine for me. I ended up getting all my meds sorted at real medical facility that doesn't have fictional "coupons." DO NOT GO TO THIS CVS PHARMACY UNLESS YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO!!! And if you do go, no matter what price they tell you, tell them that price is ridiculous and I GUARANTEE it will go down. Hold them accountable. It's particularly ridiculous because it's not like Patrick P. or the pharmacist makes more money if I'd paid the $2,600. It just goes to a giant nameless corporation. Yet with EVERY patient/customer, they tried to trick/extort them first. Why?! Y'all as workers don't even benefit! Terrible pharmacy, terrible pharmacist, and terrible procedures. I will say, the only positive is that they didn't throw me the F out of the there when I shamed them, and I have to give them credit that they did actually fill one prescription even though I had just berated them in front of 20 people. I think this happens a lot to them, to be honest, probably multiple times a day, so I imagine my outburst was probably pretty small potatoes compared to what they see on a day-to-day. I have used this pharmacy for over 20 years. When the moved location the service started getting bad. It keeps getting worse. I will go to get my prescription a day after my doctor calls it in. It won't be filled. But they will have ones waiting that were never or called in. The only way I can get my prescription filled is to call in (then I have to wait a couple of hours) or show up and wait. Last week I was told by one of the pharmacist I have never seen before that I have to wait until I run out of my medication before getting it refilled! What? She said because it's a restricted drug. She then told me a lot of nothing. This is a regular medication. I know what I am doing. I'm the past year I have been told I can get it refilled 1 or 2 days before I run out. I have on my file to give me the easy cap, but they still give me the child proof cap. Several of the newer people, one guy with longest hair and a girl are very rude. There's so many things about this place that are horrible. But I can't think of the rest right now. I have to use CVS. I use this location because it's close to me and has drive through. But telling I have to wait until I don't have of my medication left before I can get a refill. Seriously I am changing pharmacies. I have nothing nice to say about these guys. read more

The CVS pharmacy are staffed by incompetent jerks. They're rude and don't care whether you do business there. I was forced to use CVS when my insurance coverage changed. (I was much better off under Obamacare than my new employer's insurance). I've had to call CVS several times to deal with issues. I have to leave a voicemail and wait for a call back. Each call begins with them saying the issue is not their fault. I just spoke to them and, *after* telling me the issue with my prescription was not their fault, they looked up my account and saw the issue on their end. I can't get my prescriptions transferred from the Ralphs pharmacy I've used for years and really like. I know many of them on a first name basis. They care about me. Ralphs has contacted CVS multiple times to transfer my prescriptions. I know this because I've spoken to the pharmacists at Ralphs about it. CVS continues to say, nope they didn't send anything to us. Right now I'm just assuming that is because they are morons. Also, my prescriptions were cheaper at Ralphs. I was just prescribed very common anti-biotic to deal with a respiratory infection from a cold. At Ralphs this prescription would have been free. A lot of stores do this for common prescriptions. Not at CVS. So I'll be paying more for service that sucks. In the past I went to a different CVS where the pharmacist flat out lied to me. No kidding! They are a terrible chain staffed by terrible pharmacists. It would not surprise me to learn that CVS pays all of their employees so poorly that none of them come into work with a good attitude (except executives who are probably paid 7 figures). What sucks is I'm stuck with them. I need to re-evaluate my options. If you have other options, go elsewhere. Don't go near a CVS unless it's your best option to buy a soda and you know the store has a working cooler. Ralphs has the "Kroger Prescription Club" that offers massive discounts on most medications. You pay a small fee, like $50 a year, but it's much better than the prescription discount cards that cost nothing. When I needed pain killers that were a couple hundred dollars, I paid something like $30 at Ralphs. That was a lot less than what I was charged at other pharmacies using the discount cards. read more
