I had a new prescription but I stopped one of the medications prescribed to me. I found a natural alternative that works way better so I cancelled it via their website. I needed another one and I was not getting the notification. So I asked what was going on, since nobody was in line, the lady checked for me and told me it would be 15 minutes. Your store supervisor Leo is a huge liability with his extremely rude attitude and multiple facial piercings. I was basically refused even the most minimal of help. At almost 80 years of age, I ended up spending around 3 hours in your store, almost collapsing from exhaustion. Sadly. I tried to reach your corporate office but got little help and could not understand your reps from Columbia, Honduras, and Phillipines...no one would connect me with a US rep. I want to send a shout out to Maria who always recognizes me and my family and always looks out for us. RPH: P. Huynh also found a contra-indicated medication that was prescribed to me by my primary and was even missed by my Edocronologist. I was with Walgreens and taking that medication for almost two years! As soon as i transferred to this CVS The Pharmacist (P. Huynh) found out that these meds together can cause severe body aches and alerted me to the symptoms. This is the location I stop at when I'm in the area for a drop-off for family members and everyone is so helpful I normally just stop to use the restroom and pick-up a snack before getting back on the road , the store and restroom is clean and everyone is so friendly. Got my COVID vaccination here over other locations because they had the same manufacturer (Moderna) as all my previous vaccinations.

In the past I found this store to be vastly understocked. After speaking with a number managers over the years, I do believe they now have someone in place that knows what they are doing. I have visited this store twice in the past 10 days. I found their stock levels to have improved to the point that I actually had choices! I hope these improvements continue into the future. If I could give this pharmacy location 0 stars I would. I have been trying to get a prescription filled for OVER TWO MONTHS and I call nearly every week asking for a status update and I have personally gone in person to ask 3 times. I call each time before I go in and they tell me the prescription will be ready by the time I arrive and each time I arrive to grab it I am told something different - either they don't have the medication in stock or that they don't know when they will get the medicine back in, or they need to contact my doctor again (?). I've even seen a pharmacy staffer roll her eyes to her co worker in front of a customer when they asked about their prescription. Seems like this is a common theme!! Beware of this location, everyone here is seriously the worst. Not one helpful person across the entire staff. read more

I picked up my prescription at this CVS pharmacy and the instruction label on the box was incorrectly missed labeled. I called this particular CVS location; it was verified that the medication instruction was printed incorrectly. Be careful when picking up prescription at this CVS, the pharmacist doesn't read the medication label after it is printed and attached to the medication. Very dissatisfied! read more

I can't tell you how many times I've gone to CVS at lunch to pick up a prescription and they're closed. I do not understand the way that they schedule the pharmacy. It's very frustrating when you're standing in line and they say "sorry we're closed." I hate to be a Karen, but we only have so much time on our hands. This CVS is wonderful , pharmacy is great especially this one young lady , i think her name happens to be Elisa or something along that form but she is very helpful and funny. Even when the line is long she still has a smile on her face and talks an takes time to make you laugh. She needs a boost in her job! On the other hand this older lady , she happens to works close to the drop off , has short short hair. She sees that there is a long line and she just stands there !! and doesn't help at the pick up line even tho others are doing the pills and come help , she does not and i also never see her work weekends EVER , other than that this pharmacy as a team is good , people complain for no reason an just want to say anything negative when they can't have their way! read more

They didn't give me enough insulin on my last pickup and when i questioned them, the pharmacist said it was right. I should have challenged her, but figured next time around they would make it whole. Nope, they didn't record it in their system correctly. MoD I think realized their flub and attitude changed. JUST WOW. Partially my bad, but they should admit their error too. read more

Just called the pharmacy to ask how I could transfer my prescription to Walgreens because they had a brand of medication that was covered by my insurance. The pharmacist who "helped" me did not listen to what I was saying and just made assumptions. I asked him how could I go about getting my prescription transferred to Walgreens and he says in an almost condescending tone "let's see, so for your medication, your insurance does not cover it and I do not know who you spoke with but they are giving you the wrong information, it's not covered". I tell him "no that isn't what I am saying, I know my insurance doesn't cover that brand, I'm asking because you guys do not carry the brand that is covered under my insurance, how do I get that prescription transferred over to Walgreens?". He says "Oh I'm sorry, I misunderstood what you were asking, just have them call me and I can send them the referral". Hey mister, if you took the time to actually listen to me and not talk over me then that phone conversation could've went a lot faster and smoother! read more

So, it's not dirty, the shelves are organized and the employees I interacted with were nice. But... As staff, they are lost. If your need help, just go grab someone because the signs are meaningless. Every sign needs an asterisk with a note below telling you that you might die of old age waiting for help. If they need more staff, hire them! When I see people walk by ignoring me one or two times, I get they might be with someone else. But on the third time, say something! Tell me Buffy will be with me in a minute. Acknowledge I am standing there in a location marked as the place to get help! Anyway, enough ranting. If you go there, do not wait patiently unless you're a vampire and have lots of time to wait. Customer service is non existent and if you have to call expect to spend 30 mins waiting just to talk to a person that sounds like they are chewing cud and clueless. This is not the first time I've experienced these conditions but due to circumstances I've had to use them more than once. What's with all the negativity, Yelpers? I came in here to gt some half price Halloween candy and I got just that. An employee even helped me find the leftover seasonal stuff and scanned a couple bags to make sure the discount would be applied. I was in and out in no time, and I had a pleasant experience. I didn't utilize the pharmacy and I didn't have anything else on my mind so I can't speak to other aspects of the store, but parking was fine. Service was strong. Review for the Pharmacy only Acute Conjunctivitis. Otherwise known as Pink Eye. Got it and it didn't knock me out so much as it allowed me to work from home as not to be Ground Zero for an institutional outbreak at my workplace. Considering I work with thousands of employees, I have no qualms about Employee Health Services and Leadership sending me home with strict instructions not to return without clearance from a doctor. Which brings me to the Wednesday afternoon, where I was picking up antibiotics at the CVS Pharmacy next to the MemorialCare facility where I went for treatment. The Pharmacy team was efficient, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They even caught an error the physician made with my prescription when going over the meds and instructions with me. The process was so simple that the only way it could be easier is if the meds were available for me to take right off the shelves. I was in and out so fast that I didn't have time to poke around the store to see if there was anything cool I didn't need. read more

NOT GOOD. My wife and I came here on a Sunday afternoon to get our flu shot. We had an appointment (made using their online system) - my employer provided a voucher for both of us, and we entered that information into the system when we made the appointment. The first clue that this wasn't going to go well was when we did NOT receive a reminder/notification of the appointment; but, we showed up anyway just before our allotted time. Clue #2 was when we witnessed a vendor (who was apparently performing clean-up/removal services for the store) and one of the employees arguing rather vociferously outside the entrance (we probably should've known better than to proceed any further at that point, but celeste'le vie). After waiting about 10 minutes in the main Rx line (kinda' odd to me they don't have a specific line/kiosk for vaccines, given that they DO have a totally separate area for administering them; but, whatever) - and hearing two of the customers in front of us loudly express their displeasure over the pharmacy administration - we checked in. The technician had trouble finding us in the system, so she had to call the actual pharmacist over - and while I appreciate being able to actually "meet" the pharmacist, honestly, he had more important factors to see to at that moment that what should have been a routine/simple vaccine check-in. The icing on the cake was when he handed the check-in off to (yet another!) technician, and he then informed us that there would be a $94 charge for each of us! We insisted that we had entered the employer-voucher information when we had registered a few days prior, but he was unable to locate that in their system, so we just left. This experience reminded me why I went away from filling my Rx at CVS a few years ago (we only came here for the flu shot because my employer has the vendor-agreement with them, yuck). If you're in East Long Beach/Los Alamitos, check out 'Galexy Pharmacy' on Los Alamitos Blvd - your Rx may cost a tad more, but IMHO the loss of aggravation will make it worth it. read more

Staff is great and helpful but seriously fix the security gate at the pharmacy. It's been broke for 3 months and every time I'm here no one knows where to go. Nobody knows where to go or wait in line. People get upset at what they consider line cutters. Things break but 3 months? You can see a great staff is frustrated and stressed at the commotion. This could easily be a 1 or 2 star if the staff wasn't so awesome read more

This review is for the staff member not the overall store. I have been a loyal customer for many, many years. I love Maria in the pharmacy and Nancy among others in the store itself. Between the two, I spend a great deal of money. Today was not a good day. I came in around 4:00-4:30 on Tuesday. I had a problem with my chip as I did last week with Nancy. ( She May remember). After speaking with my bank I thought the problem was resolved. The nice kid that I have seen lately quite a bit was working and went above and beyond to help me. The manager, a short male approached him when the problem was resolved and mostly humiliated him. Telling him in a very degrading tone , "don't ever do that" I felt like a criminal and that conversation should have been taken elsewhere after I had left. I called shortly after to speak to Nancy but she was not there. Thank you to the staff member who tried to do the right thing and got humiliated as a result. read more

As a nurse practitioner I've had a lot of experience with different pharmacies and this is one of the worst ever. My personal physician called in a prescription for me the other day and left a message on the pharmacy voicemail. When I stopped by at CVS later, the pharm tech said that the pharmacist had not checked their messages yet, but she said she would check and call me back. I never received any follow up call. Returned 2 days later thinking that my medication would be ready for sure. When I got there, they said didn't have any record of any message for my prescription. They offered to call my physician, but I was done at that point. I asked my MD to call the prescription in AGAIN, but this time to the CVS on Los Coyotes Diagonal- I received an auto text from the Los Coyotes CVS less than one hour later telling me that my med was ready. I always appreciate the employees assistance and ability to converse with the customers. There's one guy I know who has worked there for some time and he's always nice. Also Esther has been really nice to me and we converse and chat about little things before I go off on my day and my things to do. That's what I most like about CVS.
