I've read many negative reviews at this location. However, I just want to share my positive experience here at this CVS. This is my family goto place to pick up our medicine for years. We never have any problems with any of the pharmacy staff or the cashiers. We always have a good experience here. The staff is always professional and helpful whenever I have questions with my meds. I called in two nights ago to get a refill and simply typed in RX# and received text notification the next day for pick up. Easy peasy. read more

I like this CVS because it's pretty close to me, and it's a slightly larger one. I want to commend this one gray haired middle aged male employee who was all alone on his shift tonight (Sunday), and yet he was very helpful despite being so busy. He said he didn't mind it being busy, and it seemed he really wanted to help me and the other customers. Out of many of the employees there at this location on South street, he is one of the best, and I hope he gets kudos for his hard and sincere work. read more

Really disappointed with this CVS pharmacy experience. My doctor sent in a prescription for antibiotics, and knowing how long the wait times usually are, I didn't even try to pick it up until the next day to give them time to fill it. When I showed up, they told me it wasn't in stock and wouldn't arrive for another 3 days (because of the weekend). The issue isn't just the delay -- it's that no one bothered to call, leave a voicemail, or send any kind of notification to let me know they didn't have it. This was for antibiotics, which obviously need to be started as soon as possible, and instead I had to scramble to get the prescription transferred to another pharmacy just to begin treatment on time. On top of that, it's nearly impossible to get anyone on the phone because the pharmacy staff is so slammed all the time. I get that they're overwhelmed, but CVS leadership really needs to step up. Patient care and medication needs are too important to ignore, and right now the customer experience is just terrible. If CVS can't find a way to adequately staff their pharmacies, they're letting patients down in a way that's actually harmful to people's health. read more

Absolute worse pharmacy I have ever been in. I was looking to purchase a thermometer. I looked around and couldn't find their section. Than tried looking to ask an employee. Finally found an employee and she acted like I was bothering her. She gave me the wrong aisle number. I finally had to ask the pharmacist who was very busy. At check out, the cashier was taken aback when I asked her about my CVS card. She said she was busy. Sure there were 4 people waiting but she shouldn't be rude. Came into cvs drop a prescription off. it was a 20 min wait so I decided to look around since this has been my cvs for years as I was looking around the beauty section a girl named Cynthia started watching me. it Made me very uncomfortable. I usually don't leave reviews, but my experience at this CVS was frustrating enough that I felt the need to say something. I came to pick up a prescription that was marked as "ready" in the system, expecting a quick pickup. Instead, I had to wait over 20 minutes while the staff prepared nearly ten prescription bags for another customer. If the order clearly wasn't ready and was going to take that long, she should have been asked to wait, just like the rest of us are. It's basic common sense and fairness. I understand pharmacies can get busy, but basic communication and empathy go a long way. A simple "Sorry for the wait" or "We'll be with you shortly" would've made a huge difference. Instead, I was left standing there feeling completely ignored. There was no apology, no acknowledgment, and absolutely no sense of urgency from any of the three staff members present. I hope CVS seriously re-evaluates how its staff handles customer flow and prioritization. Sick people aren't just "customers" -- we're patients. We're showing up because we need help, not to be ignored or treated like an inconvenience. read more

Went a bit out of the way to look for particular vitamins. Their inventory system accessible via the mobile app will tell you the in-store quantity of particular items. Each store location seems to have independent rules on what items need to be locked, and only accesible via associate help. It wasn't particularly busy, and we were able to get someone. This location had a large shelf full of just face-masks, which I have not seen at other CVS locations before. Checkout was through the self-help, and like other locations, it was accurate and fast, and saved a bit of money via their loyalty program through coupons. Always trying to use the roll of coupons from a previous purchase. You have to really read the fine print to make use of them : vitamin supplements frequently on sale for half off one bottle when you buy two, same as over the counter or OTC allergy pills, heartburn treatments , first aid items( I got newer bottles of antiseptic wash and peroxide and isopropyl alcohol -my dog always seems to have a bleeding paw for one reason or another.) Hallmark cards were reasonably priced and $2 off. Self check out or assistance from the cashier always appreciated. Those coupons do add up for savings! read more

Recently witnessed an interaction between a pharmacy empltand a visually impaired customer. The pharmacist handed her 4 medovations and she was only picking y Up 3. One was definitely wrong. Calcium wasn't not I'll her order. The young lady asked her to read to her the names of the meds she was getting to be certain they were correct and she refused stating there was a long line. Safety is important with medications line or not. she Asked to speak to the pharmacy manager and that evidently was who was waiting on her. She asked to speak to the store manager, and eventually he came over and correctly read the medicines to her. She then had trouble paying for with the credit card and unable to find the screen so that she could sign her pharmacy person slammed her hand against the screen, telling her to hurry and the line was getting . There's absolutely no reason to treat a blind and visually impaired person that way shame on you. read more

The female in this picture was so rude and doesn't know the first thing about customer service. Her b*tchiness is written all over her face and she accuses customers of touching and using products when they didn't. I was smelling a body cream on the shelf and didn't even use it. She suddenly crept up to me like a little rat and almost made me poke my hand in the body cream. There was some cream on my fingers but that was my own personal hand cream I carry with me. My hand cream was rainbow cream colored and so was the body cream. I was comparing the scents. She glared and me and treated me like a thief and assumed I used the body cream, which I didn't. The body creams have already been severely used before me to the point it had fingerprints all over it. She also gave me the dirtiest look she ever had. She looks like she doesn't want to work there and is miserable. I'll write her name down here: CYNTHIA. Hope you see this review and reflect upon yourself because you don't deserve to work in customer service. Learn to treat people better. If I could give this a negative star I would but this place is horrible. I recently purchased a gift card worth $100 only to find out that the middle code was scratched off. The manager told me to call corporate which I did and I also called the gift card company. After a while both companies told me to go to this CVS and get a new card because it was deactivated. When I get back this manager Alex told me to call corporate again and told me I couldn't get a new card. This manager, had the audacity to actually yell at me and demand to know who sent me to them. I practically lost $100 here. Never going back again and please watch out for this scam store. read more

Total bait and switch! Unfortunately, like most Americans I don't have the best insurance. To help combat the high costs I tend to call different pharmacies to see who can offer the lowest price. They quoted me one price and when I went to pick up the special order the next day they tried to charge nearly 4 times the amount quoted the day prior. I respectfully explained that I was quoted a significantly lower cost the day prior. I was asked to step aside and wait so the pharmacist could figure it out. I got upset and decided to leave but I felt the urge to call and complain. Low and behold, after I called to complain they mysteriously found the price originally quoted. read more

Cause this place seriously tries to depress me. Not many CVS workers or pharmacists actually seems like they want to be here. No one is friendly, like they hate their jobs. Some of them have a shitty attitude, which is really infectious to the customers. Maybe, they should review the reasons above to SMILE or at least pretend to be a bit more happy. It truly makes a difference. CVS is a common drugstore chain and if it wasn't for the issues with my last pharmacy, I wouldn't visit this location to get legal drugs for my family. I normally get all my household goods at Wal-Mart because their prices are cheaper. Therefore, CVS is my second and last minute option, in case I need something quick. This store is decently stocked with your daily necessities and I don't have issues with finding what I need. Going back to the staff, it really sets the tone if they have just have a positive attitude. I see a lot of older patrons in this joint, some of them not feeling or looking their best, so it's nice when people give the effort to make you feel comfortable. The main store is fine; I really have no complaints. But the pharmacy is another story. The ER prescribed me some pain pills that had the potency of a Pez so today my doctor prescribed something a bit stronger. I dropped my prescription off at CVS at noon, having no doubt it'd be ready when I came by after work at 6. Okay, this pharmacy can get busy, I realize that. But even though I was suffering I dropped my prescription off and gave them 6 hours to fill it. Was it ready? Nope. "Can you come back in half an hour?" Me (thinking): why yes, that would be so much more convenient for me. And silly me, thinking the 6 hours I spotted you would be enough to fill a prescription that even a doofus would understand is meant for someone in a lot of pain and should be filled as quickly as possible. I've dropped off prescriptions in the past that took them a couple days to fill but at least I didn't really NEED them like I did this one. Not cool, CVS. 4 stars for the store and 1 star for the RX. read more

Your run of the mill CVS store. The exterior has undergone a facelift so at least the outside has pulled itself out of the early 80's. The interior still feels dated to me...but then again I don't know how you'd really make a drugstore hip and fresh. Good place to pick up pharmacy related items. I find that I normally am in need of a CVS after hours when I'm sick or my son is sick and we need meds after hours. Which brings me to my point that this particular CVS isn't 24 hrs. So you can't come here when you're searching for Kids' Tylenol at 3am. Overall it's ok. But know that you'll spend more for items here than you would at say a Target or Walmart. read more

When I arrived here to get my prescriptions under Good Rx, I was assisted by one of the pharmacists there who had given me a negative attitude and overall body language as she looked at me with a condescending demeanor. She yelled at me when she asked, "What's Good Rx?," in which I explained to her what it was. Subsequently, yelling at me in front of other two customers saying, "It's our pharmacy policy not to provide discounts of any kind on control substances." Overall, I got the message, but it was not necessary to treat me or anyone in this format. I immediately called another CVS at 11525 South Street to confirm if they accepted my Good Rx card in which they did. In addition, the other CVS provided me a positive experience and didn't yell at me. Had my prescriptions transferred right away. read more

The customer service in this store is terrible. I ordered a same day photo online. The email confirmation said I would receive a text when the order was ready. No text came. So I called the store. After finally getting through to an associate, I was told he just got in and couldn't help. Order canceled. The corporate number is also useless. She has a lot of health problems and Lin finds time to explain things to my mom and get her medicines covered. My mom only goes to this cvs pharmacy because the staff is nice and helpful. read more
