The actual human service here is perfectly fine the staff are usually doing their job great but the technological service is a complete disaster. We are talking about zero cell phone reception which in this day and age is an insult to modern technology. When we need those precious digital coupons to soften the blow of the prices our phone just sits there useless like a brick. This forces us to pay full outrageous price for a box of cereal which is the ultimate service failure. They are there when we need them but they extract a very high price for that convenience. The ambience here is dominated by the parking lot which is enormous and depressingly empty because honestly nobody is rushing to get inside. It is so easy to find a spot it is basically a suburban ghost town but we are not complaining about the accessibility that is for sure. Inside the store is just an Albertsons it is bright it is refrigerated it smells like produce and floor cleaner which is all technically correct and fine. It is totally utilitarian, not a place you would ever want to hang out but it serves its basic function perfectly well for a quick desperate supply run. The product selection is where they win a few points back despite their shocking commitment to high prices. They stock everything we ever need in a bind which is a huge plus for last minute dinner plans. But the real curveball is their surprisingly decent selection of Asian unique seasonings and sauces a random collection that other locations somehow never manage to carry. It is weirdly comprehensive and it means we can actually grab the specific chili oil we want along with our overpriced milk and eggs. This bizarre specialty section almost makes the entire expensive poorly connected experience worthwhile. I'll give it a 3.5 and round up to a 4, mostly because the staff are good people who are in an otherwise stagnant job. People who work here would be cool friends outside of Albertsons; that's the type of customer care/service you get and I wish that was also reflected in the other portions of Albertsons' supplies and services. read more

Then upon check out, the bagger was so rude because I didn't hear him ask me if I wanted bags. Very unprofessional and made me extremely uncomfortable. While I was on vacation in Orange County visiting family, my two older sisters and I went on a mission to buy some cream puffs and check out the pricing for fried chicken. After striking out at a certain store where members can buy items in bulk, we came to this Albertsons, located in a strip mall. Parking was easy to find. The lot, shared by other nearby stores, is large and free. I noticed as we were walking toward the store that this Albertsons doesn't have any windows. Odd, and odd looking. After walking through the entrance, we could tell that we were very close to the deli and hot foods area just from the smells. Mmmmm! the hot foods sure smelled good. The fried chicken looked good, too! After checking out the pricing for the fried chicken, we decided that it would be more cost effective for us to go back to the place that sells rotisserie chickens for a great price, and we'd go back right before it was time to feed everyone. We thought we'd be able to find cream puffs in the cake and pastries area, but none were available. After asking the employee in the bakery where we could find cream puffs, she said that they didn't have any in the bakery, then suggested that we check out the frozen desserts area. We did, and found them right where she told us to look. Check out was quick; the woman at the register was efficient, but could've at least said, "Hello" or "Welcome." Oh well, must not have had time for pleasantries. This store has spacious aisles, and, except for area just inside the entrance, appeared to be clean and organized. The entrance, though looked like it could've use a lot of sweeping and mopping. And it was definitely not a good look on our way out to see and hear what looked like a homeless person and one of the employees yelling at each other. read more

I'm so tired of this Albertsons. It's like they quit trying, you got homeless, begging outside the door, carts strewn across the parking lot. The self checkout area has no bags which is completely stupid. Where you used to put the hand baskets they replaced with Dura logs so they're lazy butts don't have to collect the baskets anymore. Met Erick in the deli department today and he assisted me with my chicken order. I wanted 32 pieces of chicken and he apologized but was unable to give me my order. I explained to him that I called the day before and spoke to somebody in the evening around 5 o'clock, and that gentleman told me I did not need to come in to order or pre-pay for my order which I gladly would have done, but this gentleman said no don't come in. We will have plenty of chicken for you when you come in. So upon going in today I was unhappy that I couldn't get 32 pieces but Erick said, even though I can't give you the 32 pieces, this is what I can do. He made three bags with eight pieces of chicken in each bag equaling 24 and that was a very good compromise so I was very happy with his customer service skills. He had an alternative solution instead of telling me no and sending me away. I was very happy that he came up with a happy medium, and he should be recognized for his outstanding customer service skills and his can-do attitude. read more

usually go to the Albertsons on Malvern since it always showed up as closest to our house, but visiting a friend we found this Albertsons on the way home and checked it out. Very odd that the store has no windows, but inside is spacious and it has more of a variety than our usual Albertsons. There are the usual Deli, bakery, and massive produce sections which we have grown accustomed to at Albertsons. The real winner for us is the wide aisles... Being handicapped it is impossible to navigate at the other stores when they prestage pallets to unload in the aisles or people park their carts and "window shop" in the middle of the aisle. The aisles here are wide enough to get through with a wheel chair, even if there is a cart and a person in the middle of the aisle. I think we found our new regular grocery store! read more

I have your app on my phone , but was having trouble scanning the digital dollar days coupon . I finally went to the self service cashier , asking if she could help me. Now I have an older android phone , but she stuck to it and after getting kicked out a couple of times , she finally had she code up on my wallet . She said to get what I wanted and just show your cashier this scan code . After I got my product , I sheepishly went right back to her , and a busy as she was , she entered them and showed me how to simply scan the code as many times as products purchased . Unless you are shipping for a large family, this is the WRONG store for you. They raise the price of almost all products by 5 to 20%, then make it look like a sale to give you normal pricing...but I lf if you buy 4 or more. It is a dishonest practice and it is throughout the store. You can only pay a reasonable price if you buy ridiculous amounts. I will make the extra drive to Stater Bros from now on. I went to the deli to get mortadella and the worker put the closed sign on my face in a very rude way and then said "we are closed"while they were still open. It was a dark haired older woman (see picture attached) and another worker that was blond that said she was called Lilly. With this experience I'm never coming back here as it is very inconvenient to go to an establishment that claims to be open and then get denied service. I called their customer service line just to double check that they were in fact open and they were. They also confirmed there is nobody in the store named Lilly so the worker obviously lied to not be accountable for her actions. read more

It's not super expensive like Gelson's, doesn't force me to buy more volume than I need (Costco), doesn't force me to buy niche products I don't need (Trader Joe's), and doesn't make me go super low quality like maybe some other stores that are TOO price-point minded. That said; I've been coming here since I moved. Well, in the last 2 weeks anyway. Anyhow, I go for my usual seafood salad, and ....for the SECOND TIME in as many weeks; the safety seal is broken I bring it directly to the fellow that "appears" to be in charge, "Al" and he couldn't have been more disinterested. "Do you have a receipt?" He says with all the interest of someone who just interrupted his conversation about sports. "No. I didn't care about the last one. I tossed it. But this one here, on the shelf, I thought I'd let you know." And I proceed to hand him to the container. And he doesn't take it! He just says; "Put it over there on the conveyer belt." No "I'm sorry." No "We'll figure it out." No "Take another one that isn't broken." No; "I'll get to the bottom of this, because two in a row...." Nada. So then I'm checking out, intentionally with this guy, I might add, to see if there's any course correction; and my card gets declined. I step out line to transfer money, explain to everyone that I'm new in town, etc, etc And 5 minutes later when I check out-- a completely different total this time, about $12 for some reason-- and I get home and there's FINGER GOUGES on my pizza boxes and salads. Like the guy was p**sed for having to ring me out twice. Well-- NO. I gathered the "Drive and Go" pamphlet that offers delivered groceries and left because I'm never walking in that place again until something is done about this careless, thoughtless individual. Last week i wanted to make "Thai Lettuce wraps w/peanut dipping sauce" It's was a busty day in the store but as I waited in line another cashier opened up to get people moving/check out faster in the store. (That cool!) so I went to that line of course lol I was able to get everything I needed for Thai lettuce wraps here in one spot. I was just going make them how I normally would until the Cashier "Katy" asked if I were making "thai Lettuce wrap" when I was at the checkout she said she makes them all the time and recognized everything I was buying and she told me how she made hers and asked "if I put water chestnuts too in?" I said "No, just peanuts and sweet fish sauce" ... after checkout and leaving. I did come back soon after to buy it just too try it. When I came back I couldn't find it on the shelf. Luckily I run back into Katy and she was able to show me where it was! Lol (I was looking on the wrong side lol) they do have it in stock!!! Lol These are Best Tasting ones I've made so far. Thank you Katty for the recommendation of adding water chestnuts to the wraps, It's did make a difference. Now they had the proper texture and crisp taste! That I though was from just the type of lettuce used. So my mom and I came to this Albertsons today because my mom had a coupon from an ad for 2 packs of chicken breasts. Well in order to use the coupon, the ad said you had to install the Albertsons app on your phone and you have to create an account too. Boom did both of that. Mind you I have never used the app before. We get there but the packs of chicken breasts that were on the ad were nowhere to be found in the deli section. We had to get assistance from a worker in the meat department, I asked him how to use the coupon on the app. He tells me even he didn't know how to use the app?!? He also told us that all the meats in the whole section we were looking at was on sale. We took his word and my mom grabbed 2 packs of chicken in that section and we headed to the register. When we get up there, I show Corinna the cashier the coupon on my phone (apparently there are steps you have to take before the coupon is even valid on the app) Corinna tells me that next time I need to have the coupon on the app already open when I get to a register, um why would you assume I've used the app before or that I automatically know how to?? I tell her "I've never used this app before and I don't know what I'm doing." Then she proceeds to tells us that we got the wrong packs of chicken for the coupon... My mom let Corinna know that the worker in the meat department told her all meats in that certain section were included in the discount, come to find out the coupon was for certain packs of chicken only. We then had to follow another employee back to the deli section. When we got to the deli section again, a supervisor and a different employee tells us they ran out of the packs of chicken we wanted. But a minute later the worker who didn't know how to use the app brings out the packs of chicken we wanted. Like ookkkkaaayyy...we literally wasted a good 45 min running around the whole store for no reason. I have to agree with a few people here, the customer service is lacking and there is room for improvement and everything is over-priced yikes! read more

I had the best experience in the deli department yesterday(10/16/21). I was undecided about what salads to buy for a small play date at the park. Mercedes was patient and kind while assisting me with tuned out to be excellent choices. I appreciate Mercedes as this particular Albertson's customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I've gotten attitudes from workers in the butcher block department in person, on the phone, and from cashiers even on this visit. Mercedes made up for the bad experiences I've had here. I love how easy it was to make an appointment online and take the shot right away with hardly any lines. The nurse that is giving the shot have a carefree attitude, so as nervous I was - I was able to feel at ease and the shot was over before you know it! I have to say though, the side effects from the second shot of Pfizer is no joke. My arm is still swollen and aching, and I was running a temperature earlier with a cold sweat. Of course, nothing ibuprofen and a nap can't help! At any rate, I highly recommend this location to get your vaccine shots!
