My first time here wasn't the best experience for picking up my medication. There was miscommunication with the drop off time and pharmacy. Regardless of the issue, the pharmacist named Namrata gave me a terrible headache and experience. She constantly asked for my first and last name even while I told her spelling both of them out; around the 5th or 6th time, she understood what I was saying. She took her sweet time chatting away in the back and took longer than needed just to give me a phone number or address. And Namrata wasn't even the one who handed it to me, someone else had to step in and provided an explanation. They also have my phone number on file and I would think they'd call you to come pick up your medication but I'd have to call multiple times just to find out if they had it or not. (My personal pharmacy always calls if there's a new prescription or a refill I'd like to make) The day I picked up my medication, I was seen by someone else and he HEARD me the first time; there were no issues. I saw Namrata again helping someone next to me and she asked the customer for his first and last name multiple times as well. Either she isn't paying enough attention or she has hearing issues. The customer care at this CVS was not it and I hope to never pick up here again. read more

Never in my wildest dreams would I have ever thought it'd be immensely easier to get vaccinated as a walk-in customer than as a customer with an appointment. And never in my wildest dreams would I have ever thought my experience with an appointment at any CVS would be comparable to one from another well-known business with a TLA (three letter acronym): the DMV. I recently scheduled a COVID vaccination at this location because I was looking for pharmacies that offered the Moderna vaccine. I went to another Lakewood location to get my flu shot, but they only offered the Pfizer, and I didn't feel comfortable getting a Pfizer when I had done Moderna before. However, my experience here almost made me regret not getting the Pfizer vaccine at that *other* location, even if it meant the prospect of adverse side effects. Another reason why I chose this location is because it wasn't too far from where I was planning to pick up dinner, which was about 5 to 10 minutes away. My scheduled pickup time for dinner was 45 minutes after, and it's hard to believe that with how long I waited, I was getting worried that I'd have to cancel my appointment just to pick up my dinner on time. When I got to the pharmacy about 2 minutes before my scheduled pickup time, there was one customer being assisted by a pharmacist. I was next in line. When that customer was done, I stepped up to the counter, but had to wait over 5 minutes before being attended to! At least three different pharmacists in the back told me someone would be with me, with one of them sluggishly heading out to take a break. There were plenty of pharmacists working at the time, so staff shortage was not an issue. They just didn't hustle and show appreciation or any degree of customer courtesy whatsoever. When a pharmacist finally came up to service me, I told him I was here for my appointment, which I was now 4 minutes late for thanks to their ineptitude at servicing the customer. That pharmacist directed me to the consultation window even though the confirmation email told me to go to the pharmacy counter. Email in hand, I was getting ready to show him the confirmation code, but all he needed was my name, and he said he'd be with me shortly. However, with so many other customers stepping in line after I did, they all ended up getting serviced before that pharmacist called me into the room to administer the vaccine. The wait was so long I was starting to worry that I wouldn't be able to pick up my dinner in time. After what felt like an eternity, the pharmacist called me into the vaccination room. There was another customer who had an appointment at the same time I did, but since I arrived shortly beforehand, that customer had to wait a little longer. Hopefully not twice as long as I did! The pharmacist needed only one minute tops to rub my upper arm with a wipe and administer the vaccine. It was this quick and easy at the other Lakewood location, but without the wait since the pharmacist over there was super pleasant and very competent in addressing my needs and questions. The pharmacist here seemed like he couldn't wait to go home to his family for movie night with caramel popcorn. Immediately afterwards, he said "thank you, have a nice day" without offering me any paperwork. Though I did get an email confirmation afterwards, I still asked for paperwork, and he gave me the last page of the authorization form. Unfortunately, he did not give me a $5 off $20 coupon, which should have been given if you get any type of vaccine from CVS. I was so disgruntled with my experience here I didn't even bother to ask. Luckily, I still have the one from that *other* location. Lesson learned: Never get a vaccine here. They don't adhere to the appointment times, so you might as well walk in. And even so, who knows how much different service would have been had I walked in sans appointment? read more

This store has NO responsibility for their inventories/stocking or their behaviors. I can say This Store is Fuck up. Don't ever spend your money here. They posted the sign on the wrong items or their items were in the wrong place and they can't even honor the extra buck which was posted there. They blamed the customer for not reading their find print. Wow! I have been their customer for more than 20 years, my whole family medications are there but they gave me bull shit information and blamed on me instead. So I bought a gift card there today. I was looking all over where the deal would be. And their tag was on Starbucks. So I grabbed it. I put $100 on it and it didn't print me $20 extra bucks. So I spoke to this lady about it, she went inside to speak to the manager and she said she can not honor me the $20 and started to say because I got the wrong card. But when I showed her where I got it, there were a whole lot there and she even removed them to another slot. And she said it is only for $25 and up and not for this one. I said how would I know if your signed was clearly there and you knowledge it too. She asked me to speak to customer service because she can't do anything about it.Even her manager refused to talk to me. How can you be a manager of this store if you can't even solve a problem for your customers. You should go work somewhere else is better. How can you ignore a simple issue and blame someone else. This CVS is totally Fuck Up. I will move all my family prescriptions to Walgreens instead. Stupid CVS on this location. And to the manager, you are better learn how to control where you should put the sign and better learn how to handle customer service not just hide inside. Markita at store 8845 is one of the BEST Store Associates. Markita is very thorough and resourceful. She displays a joy to be at work.

Twice today I was in this store and witnessed people walking right out the door stealing. This is unacceptable!!! The store is a mess and very unorganized!! CVS as a Corporation needs to have security to protect their employees. The shelves are very poorly stocked. After 23 years I will never step foot in the store ever again. I should've looked at how many stars this place had before ever getting prescriptions here. They continually mess up. When I told them I wanted my prescriptions transferred to another place after I had finally had it they refuse and held my medication's hostage. It's no wonder this company is going bankrupt. I would never get a prescription filled at this specific location and in general CVS. FYI - in case anyone at CVS headquarters read this, your incompetent staff has cost you almost $200K a year in rx's I have transferred to another pharmacy, but by all keep employing idiots. read more

This is my third time having a not so great experience with the same Associate on 3 different occasions today I was there at about 4:25pm and the Associate/male stops in the middle of ringing me up to go help someone on the floor. He just walked away from the register, without notice leaving me wondering where'd he go? The first two experiences were of him being rude, this time he was rude again just in a different way. I let the last 2 times slide without complaining thinking maybe he's just having a bad day but since this is the third time and I know I haven't done anything to him to warrant such behavior. Just for a little bit of context, I would like to offer my liberal progressive credentials as a card carrying issues voter who consistently votes for affirmative action, racial equality, prison reform, subsidizing Low income home, and eliminating color lines across all spectrums, including support for the art and sciences communities that uplift communities that have been ill served. And that was on full display at the CVS, where I was made to wait like an asshole to buy a pair of scissors when absolutely everyone else was given priority, and I was consistently shuffled off like the man I guess I look like in modern politics. Here to report an absolutely disgraceful past few days with this CVS pharmacy for my emergency prescriptions! On Thursday, I was at Urgent Care in that parking lot; diagnosed & sent with RX. Asked the doctor to send the prescriptions to that CVS because it was convenient in the same parking lot. I was diagnosed with pneumonia. Needing antibiotics & asthma meds right away! The antibiotic was on back order. The medication for my breathing machine was out of stock too. I had suggested receiving the few antibiotics they HAD in stock for me to at least start on before the rest came in. I had been waiting since 6pm last night for the medication to be ready for pick up Never received a phone call. The pharmacist even had me call the Urgent Care doctor back, asking for a different as a medication prescription because they weren't able to order that for me either. Today, when I contacted the pharmacist asking where the rest of my prescription was, she had the audacity to tell me they can't get it until Monday. Once again, delaying my care. She said she could not find a local CVS to transfer this prescription to because they already gave me a partial prescription on Thursday. I then had to call Urgent Care to get the medication re-prescribed to me at another CVS pharmacy. This was the poorest Care I have ever gotten any CVS pharmacy! Please, customers beware. read more

I am feeling very sick today but I have been receiving several text messages re: Rx that I have. Gave me 3 letters and I called and Michelle called me back. She said " how can I help you". She sounded already condescending. I said. What is the drug that I need to pick up? She told me. But I couldn't understand since I'm not a Pharmacist, I asked again and she said rudely... repeated the name of the drug but this time very upset. She said " this is just refill of the drug you picked up before"! CVS if you have employees who DO NOT LIKE THEIR JOBS ... you should find somebody else. No wonder people go to smaller pharmacies. Dirty Store with Horrible Staff. I went into this location this morning at 715. The store is dirty, disorganized, and poorly stocked. I was the only customer in the store. I limped in for a heating pad. The 2 store employees did not speak but followed me from aisle to aisle watching me as if I'm going to steal. Mind you, I'm limping. No one offered any help or asked what I was looking for. Just kept watching and looking like I was going to miraculously pick up speed and run for the door with a heating pad. Been getting my medicine here for years and they used to be so much better. They call and leave voicemails that meds are ready I went on 2 different occasions and nothing is ready! This place needs to get their s&$! Straight! After telling them they are calling and leaving me voicemails that meds are ready that's why I'm here they ask "are you looking for something?!" Yes what you all said was ready! But then after all that they say they will work on it! Go to the pick up window and give the needed info only to hear nothing is ready. Other times pull to the window and cannot understand the person working the window! Customer service is horrible the only nice person here is the pharmacist! Have been coming here for years to get prescriptions and occasional cards and goofy gifts for my wife. Excellent in store service. The online service is awful. Times when responding to texts directly and my birthday is deemed invalid. On other occasions it asks if I want the prescriptions mailed then it doesn't and these aren't psych or sleeping pills or even pain meds. Simple omeprazole. In store good online awful. read more

The Dr was on the phone with me saying I called it in an hour ago and am calling again right now. This was 20 minutes before closing they just didn't want to fill the prescription. They didn't have either but on the way out I looked at the die cast cars they have for a minute then the lady at the register very rudely accused me of stealing when i clearly had just looked at the selection. Every time I go to this CVS the pharmacy is closed. When I was growing up we took staggered lunches so we could serve our customers. Closing in the middle of the day is crazy, this isn't a doctor's office as much as they want to think they are. This is why CVS has such a bad reputation. I wish our company didn't make us go to CVS. This has been my neighborhood drug store for almost 30 years and I usually have no serious issues with the staff and or the pharmacy but there was one time when I had a bad toothache and paid $35 for a consult with Drsays online and was prescribed antibiotics and ibuprofen. The pharmacist on duty that particular evening was an Asian lady and I had never seen her before. She was the most rudest person I had ever ever encountered to the point where if I wasn't in so much pain, I would have grabbed her in a chokehold! She was attempting to tell me that the antibiotic and the ibuprofen conflicts with another medication I was taking but she treated me like a child, didn't even finish her sentences, was speaking with her hands, and then just walked away saying she had to go to the restroom. It was as unbelievable as it sounds! I didn't end up getting either medication and ever since then, I have been contemplating moving pharmacy to another that treats me very well and delivers without charging me a fee even though they are further away. I am literally sitting here at CVS to give them another chance but if I ever see that witch again, just know that it's on! By the way, just got a tooth pulled and literally was prescribed the same drugs and the pharmacist on duty very kindly explained that they could cause stomach discomfort but gave them to me nevertheless! Chaos. The staff in the pharmacy department are simply chaos. 5-10 minute estimates are much much longer in reality. Much longer. Did I forget to mention longer? This place gets the job done, but be prepared to wait and wait and wait and wait even if the script is electronically transmitted and you are told 5-10 min. Went in for a Covid shot, the girl behind the desk didn't even look up as she asked for my ID. I stood there for about a minute until she finally looked up and said "ID", very odd way to start an interaction. I handed her my ID and proceeded to ask some questions. Like any human, we have the right to ask for information. I asked her if she has gotten the shot, she said "excuse me?" with a disgusted look. I asked again. She then advised that it's against HIPPA law to talk about that. I said I was just curious because I have heard of some people getting negative affects from the vaccine. She ignored what I said and continued writing whatever she was writing. Again, very odd behavior. That or this girl just has a bad attitude and has zero customer service. I then asked about the covid antibody test, she had no clue on what I was talking about as she made another disgusted face. I said "well you have it written right there that you offer it, how can I get one? If I have antibodies, then there would be no point in getting vaccinated right?" She ignored my question, and told me to "line up in the pick up line, I think." I stood there because I figured she was thinking if that's what I'm supposed to do, I realized she was still busy writing things down for some reason and not giving any immediate attention to me, a customer directly in front of her. I asked her if she wanted me to line up in the pick up line to obtain that information on the antibody test, she said "yes". Train your employees to respect customers, check that attitude at the door. read more

Just wanted to give a compliment to Richard. I was shopping with my Mom today. She has been going to this CVS since it was Savons across the street. She actually still calls it Savons. We were checking out and my Mom had multiple coupons. Richard was our Sales Associate and he was so patient and friendly to us. When two of the coupons didn't work.... he managed to find a work around and saved the day. He was so helpful, kind and displayed Excellent Customer Service.
