Chiropractors help a little but it's not enough) so I was planning on coming here and then going to a Chiro appointment and maybe even acupuncture too! Just a self care kinda day. I earned it! Well, last week, I came here and I asked for someone strong for deep tissue massage (I usually request a male) so I got Lucas (I think?) and he was super strong! He got in the deep muscle tissues to help me release lactic acid and I felt so much better. I got the 90 min (30 min foot and 60 min body) deal and it was WORTH IT! Plus, I tipped on the card. Be generous guys... this is a workout for them! I massaged a few friends a while ago and it makes you sweat! Even a Swedish massage! Anyway, today... I could barely walk and decided to take a 2nd day off of gym. Rolling on a foam didn't work for me. I needed to be kneaded like a dough! IYKYK! lol! So I didn't care who massaged me but I called before driving over and I got an appt within 5 min of getting there. There were several ladies available! Woohoo! I guess they rotate in shift unless you ask for someone specifically. I got Jenny! (Now don't go booking her! She's my new person now! lol!) She was amazing! She saved me a trip to the Chiro! I told them in my broken Chinese-English that I work out and my whole body was super sore... and showed them where it hurt! She understood the assignment! I got another 90 min combo deal and it was less than $100! She did my foot reflexology and calves. Then we moved to the room. I got completely naked and got under the thin, soft sheet. She came in and went to work! Not too hard but just perfect! She stood on my back and released so much tension and tight knots on my back and butt! Wow! Then she used her arms and elbows and hands and dug out all the lactic acid buildup! Seriously... all athletes need to come here. They know what they're doing! I LOVED the hot stones and the stretches she made my body do! My stiff body went "Crack, crack, crack" and I felt like a new and young person again! Saved money on chiropractic appt so I tipped her 40%! She was shocked and so grateful! I was more grateful, are you kidding?! I was also surprised it was almost empty... but not everyone is self employed like me! lol! I heard a guy come in saying it was his first time EVER getting a massage. Too cute! He's in for a treat! But then through my own experiences learned this was probably not the issue after all & was in fact the business. Also I hate to say this, but the place on the 2ed & 3rd visit smelled like armpits, and dirty feet. Body Oder, and then some. I wanted to make it out to old building, and lack of ventilation, but it's not a clean place. Fast forward to my 3rd & final visit. Let me say the only reason I did go back again was my neck & back issues, it being in the neighborhood, and the call same day appointment works nice for me. I would say the prices, but there are many little places like this that offer same type of prices. Anyways, I paid for 60 minute deep massage (not deep in my opinion) seemed more like a regular Swedish, & the 20 minutes extra of the feet for 60$ and feet for 20$ extra a simple total of 80$. They did make me a little nervous before as they said 80$ them 90$ then 80$ and i actually said I'll just stick to the 60$ deep tissue hour, and then they went back to the 80$. Ugh. So anyways, I went with the 80$ deal. Or so I thought ha. after discussing the package I was going to get, I didn't get on the table until 7:10 & then she came in about 5 minutes later. Making it now 7:15 when she started the massage, and it was nice, other then the smell of armpits, but it seemed short. I was relaxed when I left & didn't really pay attention even though on the table I did think it went by fast. I was driving home & looked at my clock, and it said 7:44 pm. I gave her a 20$ tip. Paid 100 total, for what I can confirm a 35 minute massage at most by my call log to call them before i arrived & when I was coming back for difference of 40$ really should have been more as a 30 minute massage there cost 30$ and I just over 30min with the trouble of having to turn around to discuss this with them. I now understand why every time, I've been there someone has been upset up Front as a customer. Nobody wants to deal with that. definitely not after trying to relax and getting a massage. Then as I've witnessed the man who own the place will all the sudden act like he does not understand English. He kept telling me we don't have an 8pm appointment when I called & he clearly I had just been there for a 7pm appointment. He also acknowledged the fact I was supposed to be getting and 80 minute massage & then I'm trying to point out the timeline. It does not line up even close. He then goes to not understanding me. He also hung up on me when I tried to call him once I'm driving home and I see the time on the clock to see how we can resolve this as I'm supposed to still be getting a massage at this time and he hung up on me. So if you do go to this business, I would be very careful of watching the time and confirming the price if you do anything extra other than just there is basic massage or deep massage. Is recommend watching the price and watch the time. One last thing if you use their punchcard for the 20$ off 10th visit make sure to have them sign, and use the red stamp also or Leo will say it's not legit & stamp over where it's been signed from previous visit. So even their own card system for discount that they have by their own decision, they try to cheat out of that and don't honor that. You have to watch them with everything and it's just not the way a massage is supposed to go or any business. 7:55 call time is 10 minute after leo hung up on me & drove me & got my 40$ refund. bottom of the barrel with you. I left from my 7 pm appt & 7:44pm & called at 8:02 as it dawned on me i should still be on the massage table. **** I was still at work at 6 lol you can't just say somebody was somewhere they weren't people these days can prove there's cameras everywhere. I booked that for the next day and was told she would send verification to text and it was not received till next day (minor concern). But I got a nervous feel, and I was told many times CASH! That is no problem. Then what seemed like a nice shift.. I was informed Lynn could take me for 90 minutes if I came by right away. And I asked fee and was told $100 cash which is also listed on the website. Great .. easy . I grabbed a $100 and was out the door. Parking was horrible though and I had to walk literally 4 blocks. Upon arriving Diane was friendly and introduced me to Lynn who seemed tense, and non-communicative. I wasn't expecting just curtains and no private rooms which felt mediocre to me but I understand this type of set up is often customary. I undressed and ask Lynn to please use just coconut oil. The massage was incredibly rough and I had to say a few times to go lighter. The experience was horrible.. tense, then she got on top of me and straddled my body digging in. This felt incredibly uncomfortable though I know this is done in some traditions. But it felt unprofessional. To me there is no need to straddle someone on the table. I wondered if this was some Thai sex massage parlor, it made me uncomfortable. When I tried to talk about what I needed and what to do she shushed me for talking. This made me even more uncomfortable- Though some areas of my body did feel looser after the massage. That night I had horrible pain and felt worse. Now I have had massages for over 40 years and NEVER once had this kind of reaction. I still have burning in my shoulder and felt she caused injury. I was driving down 7th street and decided to check this place out. Everytime I walk in I am always immediately greeted by the gentleman working the front desk right by the entrance. I usually asked for an hour massage but they have a few options. I usually decided on the 30/30, which gives you 30min body and 30min foot massage. I always pay up front which I am totally cool with and then I get guided to a private room to undress and get into a bed. Shortly after they come in and ask if you want the massage medium or hard...I of course ask for hard because that's how like my massages. I will say they are very good with giving you what you pay for if that includes time, products, and service all around. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming, from the front desk with offering you the service and payment ls to the actual massage. I have been coming here religiously for years and anytime I have friends or family in town I make sure we stop by for a nice relaxing time.
