I got my nails done by Cory the other week and I commented on how fast she was going. She said thank you like it was a compliment. Fast does not mean good in the nail world. I'm really upset with how they turned out because she drilled wayyyy too much and now I have terribly deep grooves in my nails. I'm sad because I was told this was a good place to get your nails don. Had a ...not great... experience which is surprising because this is my go-to nail salon. Got treated to a pedicure for my birthday and my wife and i felt super unwelcomed by staff. We made an appointment for 1 PM, and they waited until around 1:15 to start our pedicures, they helped a walk-in before us despite our appointment and that we'd been waiting. They didn't fully take off my old polish before putting on new polish and applied the new polish inconsistently. I will be repainting my nails as soon as i get home, which is a bummer. Overall this was a super weird experience, they're usually a lot more kind and consistent with their service. read more

Nice location and clean nail salon. However, very poor quality in outcome. Disappointed. Received a gift card for Christmas, went there on a Saturday morning. Male nail artist by the name of Tony did a very poor job on my gel x. Crooked, uneven, very thick and it looked really gross. Just glad that I didn't have to pay for it. Kelly did a nice job with my pedicure. Will not come back. Showed them a picture of what I wanted and take a look at what they did. Removed them today and went to a different nail salon. read more

My appointment was for a gel manicure. The salon is large with many massage chairs for pedicures and a "bar" for manicures. The service here was absolutely horrible: 1. I was not greeted when I entered and awkwardly stood at the front of the salon for a few minutes before one of the gal eventually asked how I could be helped. 2. I was never once offered a drink even though their shelves have bottles of rose and champagne. No water or anything was offered. 3. The gal who did my nails (Helen) LAUGHED in my face when I asked her to file them in an almond shape and then continued to work as she pleased. The interior was messy and a bit dirty. The only reason I gave this place 2 stars instead of 1 is because Helen (although very rude) did do a great job on my manicure. I won't be coming back. read more

They're inexpensive but I feel like their customer service has taken the hit. I've been coming here on and off for a few years, there's one technician that works here will make faces at clients nails or another technician's client. They seem to only ask the older women with obvious money if they want refreshments. I've had okay customer service and then some bad. But you get what you pay for. After my latest time coming, I won't be coming back. Just overall bad experience. :( read more

I hate having to write this especially because I've been a customer here for YEARS. I came in to get a regular pedicure because I'm allergic to gel. The lady pictured did my nails and complained the entire time. I had her redo my nails initially because she painted them pink when I asked for French tip. She proceeded to talk under her breath to her coworker. Then she told me my nails had to dry and never came back to tell me I was finished. I waited for 45 minutes, while she avoided eye contact with me, just for her to say "yea you're done" and wave me off. So, I tried to politely tell the lady at the front counter about my bad experience I had she was dismissive and told me "$30." I paid and left. Honestly I truly shouldn't have, given the terrible service and my nails look awful. read more

I was looking forward to a relaxing pedicure experience and that's what I got here. I'm sure it gets busy on weekends later in the day, but I came in at 10:00am on a Saturday and the ambience was calm and subdued. Tam did a fantastic job on my pedicure - she was gentle, thorough and had a peaceful vibe to her. I was not rushed out the door right after top coat application and was even offered a bag for my shoes. The basic pedicure was $30 and I added the $7 callus removal on. I think this is a fair price for the quality and service. I thought the "bar" theme of the manicure area was really cute and unique! read more

Got gel X for the first time and it was surprisingly fast! Gem Nail bar is clean and elevated in that some clients sit at a bar, similar to a bar that serves drinks! Cute! My nail artist didn't have much experience with design, as I showed her what I wanted. She did the best she could, and I helped her figure out the small stars. As this was the first time I've had gel-X I wasn't aware that the intense UV light would burn on each nail. Good thing right before my artist used the light, my daughter gave me a forewarning. I highly recommend not to use this nail tech . I went there 4 weeks ago for only a pedicure . This specific nail tech literally cut my toes so badly which caused a very bad infection which I am still battling with this painful infection . Becareful of this specific nail tech . I only come for pedi but I loveeee it so affordable for what you get in your pedi, hot wax hot towel 10 min massage French tip gel sugar scrub & CALLAS removal for 65$ literally nowhere you can get that! Decided to give this place a try and came in on a Tuesday evening. Easily made an appt earlier in the day for Gel X. The shape and lengths were uneven and crooked but at a glance, looked fine overall. Within an hour, I felt like they were going to break doing normal activities - driving, pulling out my wallet, typing, etc. and noticed lifting on some. The tips were either too small for my nail bed or not aligned correctly and hanging off the side wall. 24 hours later and 3 nails have already came off completely. I've tried a few nail places in Long Beach, but glad to say that I've been coming here regularly since early 2024. All the techs are great for pedicures - staff is friendly. They can get busy so make an appointment. You may still need to wait with an appointment but they keep things moving so you're not waiting too long. I always try to make an appointment for Alyssa or Rose for gel x nails. They're both awesome, take their time, and their attention to detail are all the reasons why I continue to ask for them! read more

I've been a loyal customer at this salon for nearly two years, but unfortunately, I will not be returning after my most recent visit. During my appointment with Hellen (who did my dip nails), I felt extremely uncomfortable and dismissed throughout the entire process. Her demeanor came across as unprofessional and unwelcoming. -Although I expressed interest in selecting a color, I was never shown the color palette. -When I requested short almond-shaped nails, she shook her head without explanation and gave me a dismissive look. -When I told her about the number of dip layers I wanted--something that has varied in my past visits--she responded in a condescending manner and laughed and shook her head. The experience was disappointing and uncomfortable from start to finish. Additionally, I've noticed ongoing cleanliness issues during past visits--particularly during pedicures. On multiple occasions, the towel used to wipe off lotion off my legs appeared dirty, and once it even had visible toenail clippings on it. While the final results of their services are generally decent, it's not enough for me to come back after my last visit . read more

Chloe did my nails for my wedding day, and she did the most amazing job. I showed her a photo of what I wanted and she matched it to look exactly like the photo. Also, they lasted for such a long time! My nails looked like they had just been done for at least a few weeks after she did them, which was perfect because my husband and I went on a 2 week honeymoon! I have given this place so many chances but the quality of the manicures is just not reliable... I arrived on time for my appointment for mani pedi and was made to sit for half an hour before anyone started with me. My gel manicure looks a week old already as the polish does not go to the edge or the sides of the nail bed. The shaping was sloppy and some nails have bubbles. The quality is too hit or miss for me.
