We had some time to kill while waiting for the little pup to get groomed. A couple doors down in the strip mall was this nail shop. Decent size parking lot out front and next door to two different coffee shop and juice shop. Right when we walked in, the gentleman was very sweet and friendly. Not sure if he was one of the nail tech or the manager in charge. Very friendly and welcoming. We wanted to check the menu before getting anything done as it was our first time here. If you know, we all tend to stick to our regulars with nails and any other services so trying something new was a little of a challenge. Decided to go for it and gave it a try. You start with checking in on the iPad at the front of the door. There's a little waiting area with a good amount of seating and where a good amount of the nail polish are housed. It was a few minutes till we were called. We both just wanted a pedicure and went with the spa pedicure. That came with all the trimmings of cut, file, clean, scrub and included an 8 minute foot massage with a misting machine. The two ladies that were taking care of us were sweet. Friendly and very detailed and professional. Before the service, they handed us the menu again to make sure we were getting the correct service. And during each service they would informed us what they were doing. Plus before the foot and leg massage, they showed us the timer so we can see it. The service was great and experience was excellent. It was quite busy which a lot seemed to be regulars that were visiting. All the ladies were very sweet and the place didn't feel stuffy one bit. Very clean and well organized. One side was where all the spa pedicure takes place. Everything was covered and cleaned before the service. The opposite side was where all the manicure tables are placed. Tables were next to each for the cohesive vibe. Behind them a massive wall of more polishes. Also there was a television which was great if you wanted to watch tv while your service. I believe they also had a waxing room in the back. Price wise for the spa pedicure service was 45.00 for everything. If you wanted French polish that was additional fee. Credit or cash payment accepted but if you pay cash, it was a little discount which was nice. The service was great. Friendly staff and well cleaned salon. Everyone was great and professional. A nice place and great experience for us. If we're in town again and need something done, we'll for sure be back.
I've been coming here for a couple of years now, and not once have I had a bad experience. The staff has always been friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. What I appreciate most is how transparent they are about pricing they always make sure you know if there are any extra charges before starting a service. Today, though, I witnessed something that really stood out and I was actually sitting right next to the customer the entire time. A girl came in and started complaining about the cost after her nails had already been started. From the beginning, her tone felt rude and dismissive. When the manager came over to help, she tried to calmly explain the pricing, but the customer kept interrupting and responding with a passive-aggressive attitude. At one point, she even told the manager to lower her voice in a disrespectful way, despite the manager remaining professional the entire time. To make things more uncomfortable, her boyfriend started adding his opinion, even though he had nothing to do with the service. Instead of helping de-escalate the situation, he made it worse by defending his girlfriend, even though she was clearly in the wrong. It would have been more appropriate to let the customer and the person in charge handle the situation directly. Another manager stepped in and patiently pulled up her past transactions to clearly show what had been charged before. They explained that sometimes removal fees are waived, but it's never guaranteed and they always communicate that upfront, which is something I've personally experienced and appreciated. Even after being shown proof, the customer continued to be upset and dismissive, saying things like, "Whatever, just finish my nails. I'll pay, but I'm never coming back." After all that I understand why staff didn't want to service her anymore. She left the place with nails on and she still didn't pay. The staff handled everything with patience and professionalism, even when faced with unnecessary rudeness.
Amazing place! Very modern chic vibe inside. They do get PACKED if you are a walk in. But they help you right away! I came in in a Saturday around 5pm, just a walk in. Signed in on their iPad waited about 3-5mins and I was able to get my gel manicure done. I completely forgot my nail lady's name but she was amazing! I might've found my new nail spot :)
I was in desperate need of getting my nails done & I came across Nails BB! I happened to be in the area & they were the only place taking walk-ins at the time. They were able to get me started in just 10 minutes by the time I arrived! I chose a design that was pretty intricate but Nikki is so detailed, she will make sure you get exactly what you want. Everyone is so kind & welcoming, I'm so glad I found a Long Beach nail salon!
great service and atmosphere. i love how upfront they are about pricing and how patient and understanding the workers are when it comes to quality and requests. gel x nails with french tip and a gel pedicure for $125 but when you pay cash they give you a 5% discount. this is my second time coming here and both times i have left extremely satisfied !!
Nails BB is my go-to salon in Long Beach. I really appreciate their commitment to their appointments (which has not been the case for a lot of nail salons) as well as the consistency in end results. I have probably come here about 5 times and have had different nails techs every time and I have been happy with my nails every single time. Most recently, I had Jolene as my nail tech and got V-day nails with a light pink base with little red hearts as my design. I think this place is the most reliable as well as reasonably priced. A gel manicure is $30 - with a design being an extra $10. This place accepts cash/card but if you pay with card, there is a small fee (although the pro is you can just tip on the card as well).
Had kind of a specific request to get hard gel on one hand with my natural nail and gel x with tips on my other hand! I called and talked to the owner with questions and he was very kind and helpful, informing me of the best possible options. I requested Mimi after seeing her work on Yelp and she was so patient and extremely sweet to help me with what I was looking for. I loved the music in the salon and everyone seemed really sweet. Prices were great and there were no surprises-- Mimi planned it out with me on paper prior.

Mimi did a great job with Gel-X French tips with chrome powder. The staff is very friendly and the service was not overpriced. Mimi also made sure to give me tips on how to make the chrome powder effect last longer, and she was very informative! Will be coming back for sure :) read more

Got my nails done my MiMi and she did an amazing job! She was super gentle (my skin is very thin and usually I bleed but this is the first time I didnt!!) and my nails have no bubbles and are super smooth. Ive been coming here often for about almost a year, the customer service is very friendly and manages well. The owner is very welcoming and helpful, also very pretty! The staff is very skilled and friendly. My gel x nails last for months as well! Definitely my go to for nail salons! read more

Wow ! Instantly loved it here. Came in asking for a short almond Gel x, with a pedicure and I was greeted so kindly and almost immediately seated. I was in desperate need of a pedicure and chose this place simply because it was the closest to me. I wasn't looking for anything fancy, just a classic pedicure with polish. Once seated, I chose my polish color. For $30, I wasn't expecting a luxury service, but I did expect a basic level of attention to detail, service and cleanliness. While the nail tools (clipper, cuticle pusher, and nippers) appeared sanitized, I was uncomfortable with how the callus scrubber was handled. The technician pulled it from a random spot in his cart, used it on my feet, then rinsed it in the same bowl my feet had been/ currently still soaking in before placing it back in the cart. It didn't seem hygienic and made me question the cleanliness of the rest of their tools and procedures. As for the pedicure itself, the sanitized tools were barely used. My nails weren't clipped, and It felt like barely any buffing or filing was done at all. the noticeable chip on one of my toes was still there exactly as it was when I walked in. The foot massage was a nice touch, but unfortunately, the polish application was disappointing. No top coat, uneven layers, and it already looks like it'll chip within a day. I don't usually feel this picky about my pedicures, which is why I can confidently say I'm genuinely unhappy with the result. Although I really love the color and the technician was polite, the overall experience felt rushed, like he just wanted to finish and be done for the day. I'm now planning to go elsewhere just to get my toes fixed. UPDATE: ONE STAR TO THREE STARS I came back in today after they reached out, eager to make things right. I brought my little sister with me for a promised "girls day" and decided to return to the same salon, she got her nails done while they fixed mine. The experience this time was a solid 10/10! They upgraded my service, and my sister's nails turned out amazing. They worked quickly and still delivered quality work. The attention to detail was great! Everything looked neat, and well-done. She really took her time shaping and cleaning everything up. This time, it genuinely looks like I had a proper pedicure, and my cuticles were actually trimmed, Beautiful work! Everyone was super kind, and you can tell they truly care about their business and customer satisfaction. Many places wouldn't go out of their way to make things right like this. Huge thanks to Ivy, Lynn, and Emily for taking such good care of us! My little sister absolutely loves her nails, and I can now say that I'm really satisfied with the experience too. read more
