Though the ladies were nice, it's one of those places where you question how well they sanitize the place. Not a clean establishment, the ladies are very pushy about "upgrades", the cleaning supplies are very questionable, and they speak very little English which makes it very difficult to communicate what I want. I was greeted nicely by a nail tech however I immediately realized there was an issue with her and the other nail tech who was sleeping. There was tension between the two. The nail tech who greeted me had attitude with the other nail tech but did a decent job on my pedicure. The sleeping nail tech did my gel builder filler and had the most nonchalant spirit. I had beautifully grown out almond shaped nails and although I wanted it shorter she nurtured my nails. She was heavy handed and shape of nails ranged from almond to very pointy. Very dissatisfied. Being that I haven't gotten a mani/pedi at an establishment since the start of Covid, I was psyched to get one before my trip. I searched and found a cute flowery set and asked the young lady if she could do it by pulling up a picture to show her. She looked at it for a good moment and said yes she could. Being relaxed and happy, I proceeded to have her do my nails. I have to point out that I initially told this person that I've had dip and gel on my nails before, but have never gotten extensions or acrylics, ever so unfamiliar with that process. She proceeded to apply the extending nail and added flowers as I was relaxing and browsing around, thinking she had everything under control. Once completed on one hand, she showed me my nails and they were not at all what I requested. I showed her a picture of small , dainty flowers that had the same color scheme throughout all nails. What she did to mine were big flowers, all different colors on each nail. It was tacky and something I would never agree to. I told her this isn't what I wanted and asked her to paint over it with the same color as my toes. The color I chose was too light and therefore it would not cover the flowers. At this point, I assumed she would attempt to remove the flowers so I could at least have that color yet she didn't and asked if I could pick a darker color and I did. I chose a purple, a color I would normally never choose. As I proceeded to pay and leave, she stated well next time you know to tell me ahead of time if you don't like it and I'll fix it instead of placing flowers on the entire hand. What? This is your area of expertise, how would I know that and how you expect me to and place your mistake to my nails on me. It was ridiculous so I just left and vowed to myself never to return even though they are down the street. You can clearly tell as there are bumps where the flowers are on my manicure in the sun and the polish is uneven. Also, the individual cut my finger twice where I bled with no apologies given (see pic for uneven nail polish and cut). This is unfortunate as I believe that when you leave any kind of salon, you should be feeling great and pampered as thew charges incurred are not cheap. I left feeling like I just got ripped off and the worker blamed me for it. I would also like to note I believe this was this individuals fault, not the establishment as the older woman who gave me the pedicure was so sweet and the reason for the 2 stars. read more

My first time at the place and decided to go because I could walk there from home, the women inside were very nice, but the work done was not quality work at all! I spent 2hours there for gelX nails with a solid color and chrome on top (which is a crazy long time) AND $80+ dollars on this set....When I left the salon I noticed how much glue was left touching my skin under my thumbs. At first I was going to just deal with it, but I went back because I knew it was going to bug me so they were really nice and cleaned them up underneath. However, when I got home I started looking at them more and there was so much glue underneath my nails that they were pointing up! I'm normally not one to go back to the salon if I don't like them... tbh it scares the crap out of me to go back because I have a lot of anxiety but my bridal shower was the next day and there was no way I was going with my nails looking like that. I went back and let the ladies know that I either needed them to fix my nails or take them completely off. They laughed at me and told me it was my nails that was pointing up (you could clearly see the thick glue) and that they couldn't remove them. They refused to give me a refund and then changed their mind and told me they would give me $40 credit for next time and leave my nails on....I'm sorry, but after gaslighting me and spending that much time/money in the salon for my nails to look like that, there was no way I was coming back. And to laugh at me was just so rude. They were even trying to argue with me... so I finally said if they weren't going to take off my nails that I wasn't going to argue but I would file a complaint with my CC company...I ended up making a nail appointment for a salon down the street that was willing to take them off and redo them. Even she said they put a crazy amount of glue on them. After going to the other salon (Bliss on Broadway) my nails looked so much better! I came with my friends about the time when nail salons were beginning to open up again with outdoor services so I felt like my review should be fairly lenient. Parking is a little challenging considering it was downtown and on Labor Day weekend so try to arrive a little earlier. Regardless, everyone was super nice and accommodating given the certain circumstances! However, my experience turned from satisfactory to unsatisfied fairly quickly. I had received flower nail art that wasn't what I was expecting. They had to continually tried to file my nail down and repainting and redrawing over 4 times. You can tell how much the nail was filed down (not visible in the picture). I would've appreciated if the artists told me they didn't know how to recreate my desired design but that wasn't the case. I would probably recommend the place if you were going for a solid color as my other 3 nails looked good! read more

I came to get my toes and nails done a month ago and felt I should post a review about my really bad pedicure. As you can see in the picture, my big toe was completely ripped open during the cleaning process. I had said my feet were sensitive and yet my lady scrubbed so hard on my heel I had to pull away. I didn't notice how bad she left my feet until I got home and saw the cuts on my ankle and gash on my big toe. I've done my nails here before and they were great. She cut off just a little bit of cuticles and she was able to work around what I needed! Looking at the review another person mentioned a customer coming back for a re-do.. now I see why. I have returned and I'm sitting and writing this review. I'm seriously so bummed!!!! I went in for a mani/pedi for me and a "pedi" for my 5 year old. They have a cute spa chair for kids, but you definitely pay for it. Which is fine, if those are their prices, then those are their prices. The reason I am giving 2 stars is because it was the worst pedicure I've ever had in my life. Everything about it was half-done. I ended up having to go back and getting it redone, but without a design. After some discussion, the woman in charge said they normally don't give refunds for the design, but they would give me a credit. I took the card, but I honestly don't think I'll ever go again. Not to mention there's a $2 transaction fee for using a CC they never told me about until after I paid. It's also not posted anywhere. It is only $2, but it should be noted somewhere. read more

My first time here and I think this will become my new nail spot! They've only been opened for four months but it's a great location on broadway and is very nice inside. On a Saturday we were able to make an appointment for two about an hour prior and were out in about 30 minutes. We both got a gel manicure which was $25. There were lots of colors to choose from and they did a great job. Mai was my manicurist and she was wonderful! Extremely friendly, sweet and helpful. They have a great selection of services there for very reasonable prices. The staff was friendly and helpful and I'm very happy with my manicure. Would highly recommend. read more

I reaaaaaaaally wanted to like this place. I looked up a few nail salons in LB and found this one in Yelp. Had some of the better reviews so I went in for a basic gel pedicure & a gel manicure. I had acrylics at the time & regular French polish on my toes . Upon sitting down, they hand you a sheet that asks which package you want. I handed her the sheet back and said just the regular gel. She confirmed with me 1, I said sure & then I picked out a color from a book. Their supplies and exfoliators and gels are all individually packaged. They used some raw oranges to clean my legs.. it was kinda cool. She did a pretty great job. Another lady comes to do my nails & asked me again to pick out a package. Home girl doing my toes informs her that it's number one (I'm guessing) & she sits down & starts removing the acrylic. She did soak of (the majority) of the acrylic, which I really appreciated. Here comes the complaint: She starts shaping my nails and keeps asking me if it's okay, & I had her reshape them like 3 times. I understand natural nails aren't as perfect as acrylics, but they were NOTICEABLY crooked. I ended up giving up. We move on to polish, she immediately starts painting *layers* of clear gel polish...... and so I ask her if I can show her the color and design I want considering we hadn't talked about it. She says "oh, okay" and starts to go get the polish. Then she starts. She kept asking if the french was ok, and I kept asking her to paint the sides of my nails.. she just nodded. Hesitantly, I say ok but I'm not sure she was understanding me to be truthful. By the time she was done, there were layers of red paint that weren't double coated so some of it was transparent AND the sides of my nails still weren't painted. I asked her to fix it. After about 15 min, she gets frustrated. Calls another lady to do it. She tries to fix it and ENDS UP removing all the polish because there was literally nothing she could do & attempts to reshape (which I appreciated). In the end, they came out OK. I don't love them but they aren't the best I had either. I was there for 2.5 hours Here's the worst part: They charged me... get this, $100... after they $67 on the phone. They *literally* charged me for nail remover, gel polish *again*, french, design + another design... EVEN THOUGH SOME OF THESE PRICES SAY "PRICE WITHOUT SERVICE" on their wall price sheet. & When the price came out to $99, she said "and just a dollar to round it off to $100." I come often enough to just know call ahead of time because they usually get booked due to being so close to all of these homes that need a quick but good mani pedi. But I have to say today I still paid what was asked but I shouldn't have because that's not the service I received. ( i also wasn't rude and I didn't stop her to say omg i paid for the foot rub and you touched my foot for like 4 seconds and quickly took the callus remover off after 4 seconds ) I chose 2 deluxe which Is an extra $5 for callus removal / also the massage and whatnot .... So when you pay the extra you'd want the callus removing to usually happen and not like three scrubs on each foot. I love them want them to continue business but also hire more people so they aren't spread so thin. I know it got busy while was in the chair and the women had to do 5 things at once. But still I don't think anyone should pay full price plus tip the 25% only to walk away knowing that she did slap on all the lotions and scrubs only for it to be wiped off 3 second after applying. read more

My first set of dip powder didn't stay on very long at all so I went back in and showed them how much has chipped off in the short amount of time. The redid my whole set for free!! (I tipped $15 to compensate... make sure ur salon etiquette is right!) so off to a good start! my next set stayed intact for so long! I got my first chip after 3.5 or 4 weeks. Most recently Mimi did my nails; she did a great job and we had fun conversation! I recommend this place and Mimi in particular!
