Getting my nails done is something of a chore for me - I hate sitting still for that long - so pre-COVID, I always splurged on a higher end experience at a salon in Belmont Heights, because if I was going to be strapped to a chair for 60-90 minutes, I damn sure should be overpaying for the privilege! :) Post-covid, my favorite tech from my aforementioned salon left the business for a 9-5 but did in-home work for favored clients, of which I was one, so that's how I rolled for several years. However, about a year ago, I wanted to get my nails done to treat myself prior to a surgery, and I stopped in here without an appointment. Since then, they have become my go-to, as someone who only bothers to go every 4-6 weeks. I've walked in even on relatively busy days and haven't had to wait (it's like ladies just materialize!), their work is fine [for my purposes], they are reasonably-priced, they are very friendly, the vibe is very chill. A couple of notes - I don't get gel nails, just regular mani-pedis, so I can't speak to gel or acrylic experiences. I'll also say that at the more expensive salon, the polish seems to last longer (and I always bring my own color, so perhaps it's a difference in base/top and/or application). The higher end salon is also a little better at callous removal. But for the price and convenience, as someone who basically just goes to get "cleaned up" and not to impress anyone later, I don't have any real complaints. As has been mentioned, they accept credit for payment, but tips need to be in cash. I usually stop in unplanned and often find myself without cash, but fortunately, there's a credit union ATM steps away that solves the problem. read more

Been coming here for a while. Came in to get a pedicure and have my nails taken off. The lady that did my pedicure was great as always. The lady taking off my nails, who I believe is the owner, wanted until my pedicure was done to start taking off my nails. Instead of her soaking them off she wanted to do what was faster for her which was using the clippers. I asked her if she can take the nails off another way because the clippers were painful, she continued until I finally just moved my hand away to make her stop. I asked her if she could soak them off and she said that it takes too long and asked if I just wanted to take them off myself? Lily, Jenny, Kim and the other dedicated staff members of Nails 4 Season always seem busy but somehow manage to make time for their customers. They take there time with each client and always do nice work. Jenny gave me a mani/pedi on Friday and she shaped my nails exactly how I wanted them, she cleaned all of my cuticles and left my hands and feet feeling so soft. Also, I don't know what type of gel top-coat they use, but my nails glimmer in the light. I highly recommend this nail salon. read more

I'm giving 2 stars because they are affordable and always seem to get you in despite being busy. However, the work they do is one star :( I got a gel manicure done here last week and it looks awful 7 days later. It looks like it usually does 2-3 weeks after I get gel nails done. I noticed it right after the girl finished doing my nails: she had not pushed my cuticle back at all and my nails looked like little miniature kid nails. I talked to the lady at the register (whom I am thinking is in charge because she sits on her phone most of the time at the front of the salon). Anyway: she told me that there isn't a need to push the cuticle back because it "grows back." Uh. So do my nails. Haha. Way to support the customer! It was sloppy work and the girl who did my nails was obviously newer. Her work was not good ESPECIALLY for $35. I had a $40 pedicure that was subpar too. Just annoyed. I popped into here last week since my threading place is like two businesses over. Not impressed. $25 for gel nails is pricey in my book. I usually go to Pinkie's where it's $20 and they practically last 3 weeks. They were not busy at all. That kind of worried me, but at the same time it was convenient. One lady was chilling there on her phone with her bare, cracked feet resting in the seat in front of her nail station. She needed callous remover for $5 extra-savage but true. I got gel nails, and they're already cracking and chipping after a week. They charge 95 cents to use a credit card. Rude. I felt very awkward at one point since one of the other ladies came over and was just staring while my nails were being done. Then she grabbed my hand and I guess was admiring it lol? She said it would be pretty in the sun. They were speaking in their native language, so who knows. The only nice thing I can say is I liked their polish. I don't get my nails done regularly. It's nice that when I do take the time to pamper myself I fully enjoy the experience. This business is close to home and has a very friendly staff. The lady was super sweet and easy to talk to. She was very careful (ie not manhandling my fingers like some salons do with acrylics) and never once told me to be more careful as to not break my nails (I mean if I am payin to get it fixed why do other salons care?) I came in here for the first time because I was shopping in the area and needed my nails done. The ladies were not super friendly, but I didn't mind much because I'm there to relax. Now I know why they have a three star review- I asked if they had the matte gel for a mani, was told they did, requested the matte, and did not receive the matte ( so much for closing my eyes to relax!). My nails ( both hands and feet) are uneven and rough tips. I'm reviewing this much later in the evening because at first I was disappointed , then got over it knowing that in two weeks I will just get them redone. Small little shop run by some cute l'il Vietnamese ladies. I haven't had my nails done, but they seemed to have their own set of regular clientele. I had a full face wax($25), which was pretty good (although I'm not sure how you can go too wrong unless the wax was too hot or soemthing). Worst service EVER! The chick who did my "pedicure" was extremely rough while handling my feet. She didn't clean under my nails at all. She did not remove all of the nail polish from my previous pedi. When I informed her I didn't want color she then went once under each toenail and then doused my toes with polish remover once more. Call me old fashioned, but I go into nail salons to just get a simple manicure with some polish. Not only did they push me to get acrylic nails through the whole process(even while I was paying), but they did not shape my nails the same. I currently have one rounded finger nail, and one square shaped. They even seemed annoyed when I just asked to have normal nail polish, and refused to get acrylic nails. Yes, I've experienced waaaaayyy better. The sevice was a bit rushed it made me feel as if I was being robbed. I'm trying out different places since i recently moved to the area and figured I would kill two birds with one stone since Target is right next door. I went in for my usual mani, pedi, and bikini wax. The mani and pedi was poorly done...... Ladies we go into these types of establishments to be pampered not to get the wham bam thank you maam. Oh and my wax was a horrid experience that I don't wish to discuss, for this is a memory I'd like to repress and she will never be the same. Recently just here.. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! The head lady was very rude when I walked in kinda of rushy what do you want type of attitude. I did however LOVE the lady that did my toes she did a great massage and my toes are PERFECT. Besides asking for a pedicure I also wanted a FULL SET. The pricing on the board says "19.99 and up" meaning depending on the length which my nails were not that long ( I work in an office and type all day ) so my nails were fairly short. The head lady comes and tells me $42 total for just my nails because jail is $14 extra. I honestly think that's ridiculous. I am from Carson and pay $7 for gel she was very rude when I asked her to break down the price on why it was so high. I needed a mani/pedi and saw the sign outside this place ($17.99 and up) and figured it was worth a shot. It is your basic not-too-clean SoCal strip mall type of place. Lots of polish to choose from, but if you want to "upgrade" to OPI, its an extra dollar. Very nice technicians but not a lot of attention to detail and a little rough on the cuticles ... I was actually wincing at certain points - not good! They slapped on the polish and then cleaned it up afterwards with remover. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with getting a pedicure! The women that work here are rude and pushy, and my polish job was terrible. I actually removed it when I got home. The woman that did my pedicure would rudely say "switch" rather than tap your leg/foot, and almost seemed annoyed she had to do provide services. I agree with the 2 previous posts. I got a 'spa' pedicure on Saturday, and was rather disappointed. The 'spa' pedicure just means you sit in their very weak massage chair and the rub your feet a little.. terrible. Same thing-- they slapped on the polish and covered it with some clear layer. Yes, it's cheap, but for the same price, I've received much better pedicures. Waxing is ok, eyebrow is $7, underarm is $15. Not terrible, but not great either. They could do a much better job cleaning the area before and after waxing. The women that work there are nice, but they kept asking me the same questions over and over.
