They really treat me like their own here. I've been to PLENTY of nail salons because I tend to always wanna try someplace new, but I have to say their customer service has landed a very loyal customer. Annie is THE best masseuse everrrrr. The spa mani/pedis ($20) come with a free massage for a few minutes and my God it tops most massages I've received from trained professionals. It's quite heavenly. They offer an additional reflexology sesh for $7 for 5 minutes and $20 for 30 minutes (if I remember correctly), and a few other services. I get the callous remover and they really get down and dirty with it--your feet will feel silky smooth as a result. She also takes her sweet time with my usually messed up nails and does a fantastic job. Helen does great waxing jobs as well. I wasn't looking for a salon to do my classy french, I wanted loud because im going to the Ducks vs Kings game tomorrow and I wanted to represent my Ducks by wearing their colors tomorrow all day. I came in and was greeted and they re-asked what I needed, I said a flashy manicure. I didn't catch the girls name but she was really nice and totally accomidating. I choose my design from the tons of options to choose from. Now im getting my arms lotioned and what not and all of sudden she stands up and walks over to me and gives me a massage on both shoulders, I shit you not, I really needed that and that was a huge bonus! I wonder if she does massage on a regular, because she really made me feel comfortable and loose after that. This is my default nail place for the past year. This is definitely a hole in the wall kind of place. Its not fancy-schmancy, but the service, cost, and people are great! I always have Kim do my nails or Helen's husband (owners). For mani/pedi, gel and callus removal it comes to about $35 (?) + tip which is worth it in my opinion. They give you arm/back/leg massage for a few mins with the option to extend to 7 mins for $5. I usually wear shorts, tie my hair in a loose bun and make sure to walk in on Tues/Wed/Thursday when its not so packed. They usually close by 7pm which is the only nail place that I know who will accept walk-in at that hour. Whole thing takes about an hour to hour and a half. IF YOU WANT NICE NAILS, THEN DON'T GO HERE. I went here to get a mani, pedi, and gel on both my fingers and toes. I have never been so disappointed. I wanted coffin shaped nails and my right hand are literally rectangular. The gel polish on my hands are bumpy. They kept messing up on the top coat. It wasn't drying and it kept getting smudged when they were massaging the cuticle oil on. It took three tries for them to finally get the top coat on well and dried. They were very nice and reasonably priced. However, I got a French gel mani and there are bubbles on EVERY nail. They didn't get the entire nail with the clear gel or the white. My nails were filed unevenly, painted unevenly, and had the old gel removed unevenly. There's a spot of pink under the clear from the last gel color I had. I'm still getting the white gel off my fingers and my nails were stuck to my fingers in a few places. The massages were amazing and they did a pretty good job on my toes. Overall it was a good experience with poor results for my gel manicure. I'd probably go back for the spa pedicure and leg massage. read more

Please take the reviews seriously! Even after reading the negative reviews I decided to give this place a try because they do dipped nails and I've been wanting to try them out. I made an appointment for Friday July 26th at 5:30 to get my nails done. I show up and they sit me down and the lady started doing my nails. She forgot to file my nails so I had to ask her to do it. The final product of my nails are terrible. I had to ask her to fix them because the sides of my nails were completely bare, no color and she told me she couldn't that day because she had another appointment and to come back the next day after I had paid the $36!!! I was so upset but I needed them fixed. I went back on Saturday the 27th and she "fixed" them. They still looked awful but whatever I was over it and just wanted to leave. She kept saying sorry I'm busy. I understand nail shops are busy but if you're working on a persons nails you should be focused on doing at least a decent job. I didn't plan on returning because of my experience but considering dipped nails are suppose to be sturdy and shouldn't chip so easily I can guarantee I won't be returning after my polish chipped today! Do not come here!! I wish I had taken the time to read but such short notice so I trusted the stars on yelp too much. I came here because it was open till 730pm on a Friday night so I said why not... worst mistake of my life. I was cut to the point that my thumb is so sore the next day. The owner asked someone to step in and do my cuticles and she hurt me pretty bad, and I'm bleeding all over the place. When I'm telling the owner after she takes over again to finish my nail fill and color change, I let her know my frustration with the fact that it still had not stopped bleeding and how in all my years of getting my nails done that had never happened. she proceeds to get upset at me and say that her co-worker was gentle and that my skin is just too dry so it's my fault. At this point I'm so upset that I tell her to stop and I wanted to leave with unfinished fills and she proceeds to tell me she will be charging me anyways since she already did the service. So I try to again explain that it's frustrating sitting there with her blaming me for having dry skin instead of simply saying sorry and then she offers to discount me 5$ because she said that she already appologized plenty and that she doesnt know what else to do and in my head im like, "no you did not appologize. You proceeded to get offended because i epressed how upset i was..." she would even get upset when id ask her to fix things on my nails because im tellimg her how to do her job and shes been doing nails forever... like yes if you were that great i wouldnt have to go find another nail place today to go repair my huge lumps and dents in my nails.... Because of the 5 off she had offered to dock off from the cuticle trim price settled me long enough to finish my nails. Then when I go to pay she adds the 5$ back on. As much as I would like to say that I plan my beauty regimen out so I can go to fancy schmancy places that give me cucumber water and take 30 minutes to impeccably groom my eyebrows. Sadly, that's not the case. Usually what happens is this: *Hazel puts makeup on before a night out and gets to the eyeshadow part and realizes, "Holy shit. Am I turning into Peter Gallagher?" *Hazel grabs the tweezers and desperately tries to whip those brows into shape. *After 30 seconds Hazel gives up and runs to the nearest brow waxing joint. Yep. No planning. It's almost like emergency brow waxing, but it more than does the trick. Helen will get you in and out in no time, and does a damn fine job. Service is slightly above average for this sorta nail/waxing joint, but for $8 you sure as hell won't hear me complaining, especially when I strut out of there with face framed by some beautifully shaped eyebrows. read more

I'll start off by saying that, I am of the belief that when a place is providing a service, they should let you know if something will cost extra. I went in to get a spa pedicure and a full set, thinking it would cost $29 (I think it advertised $13 for the spa pedicure and $16 for the full set.) My bill came out to $37. I have been to other nail salons where I ask for a full set, get a full set with white tips, and pay the price advertised for a full set. Actually, I don't think this has ever NOT been the case. I was charged an extra $3 for getting white tips, which they did not tell me was the case--they simply asked if I wanted white tips, b/c the ones I was getting taken off were white tips. I was also charged $5 for getting my previous fake nails removed. First of all, there was NOTHING on the price chart about having fake nails removed. Second, the woman RIPPED OFF half of one of my actual fingernails, and the whole process was slow and painful as they used a fake nail to pick at and chip up my fake nails. My nail was bleeding where it was ripped up, and she eventually put something on it that stung like crazy--I was in pain for a while. Furthermore, when my fakes were being filed down, they kept accidentally going under and filing (painfully) my fingers. Umm why am I being charged to feel like I'm having fingernail torture done to me? They kept rotating who was working on my nails/toenails, and I felt like with one person doing each hand, the hands were not exactly looking the same! My nails on one hand are a little longer than the other. This was a lesser of my complaints after I saw the bill. I am not someone who likes to undertip or not tip, but after seeing the unanticipated $8 tacked onto the bill, and for services that were painful and unpleasant, I was not going to tip anything. I was honestly surprised b/c the woman who started on my nails was friendly--more so than I'm usually used to in nail salons--so I wouldn't have expected them to throw in charges without warning me. read more

Yesterday, I was driving around trying to find a new nail place to go to - just because. I wanted a little change. Well, there are like 3.5 billion nail salons in like a 1 block radius at the corner of 7th and Redondo. No joke. I picked this place because there was a parking lot to the left of it and I was feeling a little lazy. The place is older so the equipment is not brand new and perfect. The arm rests on the chairs are worn and the place is decorated modestly. But what they lack in decor, they make up for in quality. Oh my gosh. This was hands down the BEST pedicure I have ever gotten in my entire life. Cathy was quite simply amazing. She removed so much dead skin from my feet that I wanted to hang my head in shame. She had one weird habit of placing the removed skin back on me - usually nail salons wipe it off on the towel but she would put it like on my foot and then she wiped it all off at the end. Strange but not awful. Anyways, she really took her time and did a quality job. I really got my $5 callous removal's worth. She put the callous remover all over my feet and then wrapped them in plastic bags. She let them sit there for awhile and then removed the plastic bags and did the best pumice scrubbing ever. If I remember correctly, it was $21 for a manicure and spa pedicure plus $5 for the best ever callous removal - so $26 total. I am going back here for sure. My feet looked amazing, they have never looked so smooth before and when I touched them, they were really soft. read more

Okay this is my first negative review, but I just had to leave it because my experience was so terrible! The woman doing my manicure was a very polite, plump Viet lady who asked if I wanted a square or round shape for my mani. I told her square, and she filed my fingernails in record time. I was impressed. While she was working on my toes, I examined my nails and was horrified to see that they were all filed with an obvious slant. No wonder she finished so quickly! I brought it to her attention, and she nodded and halfheartedly fixed a few nails, but left the rest. I ended up just (nicely) asking for the emery board, and evened out the rest of the nails myself. The rest of the manicure went well, but the pedicure was where it went awry again. The lady began to glop on the nail polish, and I immediately saw that it was super old. Super old nail polish doesn't go on smooth, it goes on in clumps and leaves behind weird streaks. I tried to notify the lady immediately, but she assured me, "It normal, I will fix." No, it was not normal, and no, she did not fix it. Instead, she continued to glop on the nail polish to the point where it covered the cuticles on some of my toes and even got on my toes itself. She did not bother to remove the excess nail polish, choosing instead to cheerfully announce, "It done, now dry!" and promptly left to help another client. At this point, I look around and see that the other customers around me had their toes separated with tissue and fans placed at their hands and feet to expedite the drying process. I waited to see if my lady would do the same for me. Nope. Just me and my bare feet propped up on a towel covered with nail polish marks. At this point, I didn't even care anymore, I just wanted to get out of there ASAP. I ended up just waving my hands around and blowing on them myself to help dry them. I'll post a photo of my toes so you guys can see. I paid $23 for the whole experience, plus $4 tip because I always tip at least 15%, even though the whole experience sucked. Firstly they share a parking lot well at least they us to. So you have to park on the street. Or at the bank across the st. After I parked my car the guy at the donut shop told me I had to pay him $3 to park my car so I parked down the st. And walked. Soon as I walked in there was a young lady who worked there who just looked at me. So I walked towards someone else and she greeted me and asked what I needed. They were busy but I got seated in the spa chair with in 10mins. My actually pedicure didn't start till 10mins later I didn't mind since I was watching a show on my phone. My pedicure was awesome I wish she polished them better but I got them white and I know it's hard to polish with white so it was ok. I loved my gel manicure and they had so many colors to choose from more than 50 I believe. I also got a free quick foot leg arm hand back and neck massage which I loved. The place isn't to big but it is "long" with plenty of spa chairs. With my pedicure and gel mani I paid a total of $33 and I can't wait to go back in 2 weeks. Oh and I also appreciated the woman who worked there, for walking around and making sure no one parked in the parking lot since the guy at the donut shop will tow you. Also my cat scratched me and messed up cuticle and my nail tech was very careful on not to damage It anymore and still gave me the prefect mani. I've been here twice now; both times I walked in without an appointment and got my mani/pedi without any wait whatsoever. The work they did on me was fantastic both times. My one complaint about this place is that they kind of threw me out into the wilderness after I was done, without a fan or blacklight to dry my nails. The first time, I had barely left the salon before messing up 4 of my toes. I came back, tail between legs, embarrassed, and ready to pay for the "repairs." Not only did they fix my isht for free, the girl wouldn't even let me tip her for re-doing half my pedicure. For real. I was a little blown away. The second time I went, I was prepared to be much more careful. Prices are good, not a steal, but good. Service fantastic. Parking easy by the donut shop. Definitely recommended! First time getting a pedicure because I am a guy and normally don't care for such things such as my nails. But on this rare occasion I had an ingrown toenail that hurt like hell and I didn't know what to do! A friend suggested I go get a pedicure. I was reluctant because the last time I checked it wasn't exactly manly or cool for a guy to get a pedicure haha. But it hurt too much so decided to just man up and do it. The ladies inside are really nice and accommodating. They helped me out with my issue and I felt so much better at the end. The place is clean and well ventilated and the chairs are comfy. And the price is fair id say. It was an interesting experience overall. Since it was my first I don't really have any other place to compare it to so I would recommend this place to anyone needing some help with their nails.
